So I'm watching season 3 of Nikita(don't ask me why I'm just now finishing this amazing show), and I can't help but think about the relationship between Ryan and Nikita. Then I saw how their relationship is now that they run Division, and this popped into my head. For this story, Michael broke up with Nikita and chose to stay with Max and Christine.
Division-9:30 P.M.
"Fletch? What's going on?" Nikita asked as she walked into his office.
"Shut the door Nikita." He said, and she did so.
"You had Birkoff cut my communications. Then you made Lyla a target. So I'll ask again, what's going on?" She asked, and he glared.
"What's going on is that I am making calls. I run Division. I see things from operations, from here that you don't. You can't just run off and do whatever the hell you want." He said, and she glared at him, forcing herself to take a breath. This was Ryan, not Percy.
"First off, I see things from the field that you don't see. Missions are fluid. You know that. I have seconds to make judgement calls. I don't have time to check in. Secondly, remember that you only run this place until we can shut it down. And you wouldn't be running it if I hadn't saved your ass."
"I know that Nikita, I do. That doesn't make it any easier." He said, pacing around his desk in frustration.
"The job is only temporary Ryan." She said, walking over to him and putting a hand on his shoulder.
"I'm not talking about my job Nikita. I'm talking about you."
"Me? So now I'm the problem?"
"No I…"
He stopped talking, looking into her beautiful brown eyes, remembering the one kiss he had had with her. He remembered her saving him from that prison, and remembered the moment they first met. He remembered every moment they had shared, all of it flying across his mind's eye like a blur.
Then he kissed her.
"I love you Nikita. I love you, and sending you into harm's way is hard for me. The thought of you not coming back terrifies me. Even if you are a female Jason Bourne." He said, and she grinned. Then her smile faded.
"When I thought you had died...I was a wreck. I wanted nothing more than to tear this whole place down. Finding you alive again...it was like a hole in my heart closed. But seeing you here, doing this job...Ryan, we have to stay true to who we are. If we don't, we become the very thing we tried to stop. Please, promise me...promise me you will never be them."
"I will never be them. Never. But you have to respect my decisions, just like I have to respect yours."
"You're right."
Then she smirked.
"And maybe I'll have to obey you sometime's too. Like when we go to bed and you have your way with me." She said, kissing him hard before leading him to her room.
A/N: So I hope you all enjoyed this story! Please read and review, and if you have any other Nikita prompts feel free to let me know!
