Chapter 1 –A Strange Necklace
San Fransokyo was in every matter from the biggest to the smallest a bustling metropolis where one could barely miss something, from great industrial buildings to giant tourist attractions, rich in places where one could buy something for who knows what price giving up in a sense about the wealth its citizens have. But beyond those façades of welfare, like all the cities and great metropolises they sometimes hide secrets whom one could only imagine because of the large number of shady people that could lurk around. And there was also the problem of crime in the city, which the police have to solve. But sometimes even the police got some help in some cases in this evening for example it was only a petty crime done by 3 thieves robbing an ATM and were trying to make a run for it to which the city heroes had spotted and now were engaging.
"We are right on their trail." GoGo who was using her wheels was following them or better to say driving them to a trap.
"I am ready." Honey Lemon said through her com-link preparing her chem-purse to fire on them to stop them on their tracks by all accounts it was only her and Honey Lemon since the others had already left when they spotted the robbery.
"We are almost there." GoGo said and unbeknown to her she was watched by someone in on the streets that person was a female black person wearing a long coat with a hood to cover her face.
"Now!" GoGo said and from a corner Honey Lemon jumped and threw1 chem-ball to the thieves and immediately their feet were now glued to the ground right when they dropped their bags with the loot and GoGo caught them and went before them.
"It seems you 3 choose the worst night to do this stuff." GoGo said with a smirk dropping the bags right when 3 police crews arrived and immediately took them into custody and between them was of course the Chief of Police himself.
"You know sometimes I wonder when you will take a break from all this." He said.
"We were kind of the only ones that were around when they robbed that ATM. Beyond that gluing their shoes to the ground was enough for when you will arrive." GoGo said.
"You do realize that we were nearly here before you would have intervened?" The chief said sarcastically and both her and the heroes were feeling odd about this relationship.
"We know but there are sometimes instances when citizens could intervene to prevent something or stop the perpetrators in their tracks till the police arrived." Honey Lemon said trying to lighten the mood.
"I do admit this happened even when I was working for the force in the previous city. By please do try in those cases to refrain I want my officers to also have something to do aside from paperwork." The chief said.
"Since only petty crime happened in the last few days we will let you handle this. Aside from that we do try to find jobs." GoGo said.
"Thank you and good luck in finding your dream jobs." Diego said by all relieved about this before turning to his car while the 2 heroines were preparing to leave just when GoGo heard something from an alley and turned towards where the sound came and saw something glittering on the ground.
"What is that?" She asked herself going to check and on the concrete she noticed a strange necklace, like a round medallion with several runes around a round medallion and inside of it was an engraving the shape of a feline and above it was something like the phases of the moon above a green gem that looked very precious.
"Where did you come from?" She asked herself before taking it up in her hands and something like a strange energy coming into her and felt very invigorating but also very strange.
"Whoa, that was something really strange."
"GoGo what did you found?" Honey Lemon asked coming to her.
"I found this strange necklace here and somehow out of sudden I had a rush of energy." She said to the Latina girl which confused her.
"A rush of energy? Do you think it could be something supernatural?" Honey Lemon asked.
"Maybe or something like it?"
"Hello did someone lost a necklace." Honey Lemon asked.
"It probably left, who knows where the owner could have gone." GoGo said placing the necklace in her pocket.
"Well we should talk to the others regarding this necklace tomorrow."
"And we do know who we could ask about strange stuff." GoGo said with a smile and Honey Lemon knew about who she was referring to.
"Do you think she will be able to tell us?" Honey Lemon asked.
"You know what parents, siblings and relatives she has alongside Professor Granville?" The Korean girl started and the Latina remembered especially that she also lived through a strange supernatural experience with some odd tea that made her loose her grip over herself and felt the side effect for at least 3 days and 3 nights.
"I do, and some of us still can't believe this." Honey Lemon said.
"She will surely tell us is something is off, or she will know the people whom the information that will really be reliable." GoGo said before both them started to move on and get home for a good night of sleep. Amazingly the effect that tea made regarding a silent sleep for Honey Lemon had extended the intended period.
Author's note: This is a side story for Granville's niece and it wouldn't be too long compared to the other one.
