Soon after, the police showed up to arrest Gladys, and animal control had come to collect Vincent.

"Here we go, off to the Rockies for you, Smoky." A man told Vincent as he and a partner came to take away the bear.

"Now, you do realize that was a Depelter Turbo?" Dwayne smiled nervously as he was also getting arrested.

"Officer, please. It was that Verminator!" Gladys cried as she was trapped in handcuffs. "He sold it to me. This has nothing to do with me."

"Hey, hey, it was in your yard, your name's on the contract, so you can tell it to the judge." An officer glared as he carried a clipboard.

"No! It's not my fault! Let go of me!" Gladys cried out as she tried to escape. "I can't be arrested! I'm the president of the homeowner's association!" She elbowed the first cop and tried to run for it, but the second cop tackled her and his partner elbow-dived on her.

"Uh, yeah, she's getting away!" Dwayne called; while the cops were dealing with Gladys, he discreetly picked the lock on his handcuffs. "Get 'er!" he called as he tiptoed back, with a lawn gnome stuck on his butt, and climbed over a fence. As he landed, there was a squeaking sound heard.

"Play?" A certain voice asked.

"Oh, no..." Dwayne said out of fear. "No, no! No, no!"

There was a bit of roughhousing heard behind the fence before a loud chomp was heard.

"High-five, Hammy!" Stella smiled at the squirrel as the Hedgies began to celebrate.

"Yes!" Hammy beamed. "It worked! We did it! We did it! Oh, yes!"

"Stella!" Tiger's voice soon called out as the cat came over the hedge to see the skunk. "Stella!"

"Over here, Tiger!" Stella called back to him happily.

"Oh, Stella. So this is the outdoor woods?" Tiger smiled as he embraced her before looking around the forest as he grinned happily. "I like it."

"Come on, big boy," Stella smiled back. "You're coming with me."

"You know, RJ, just for the record," said Verne. "If you had told us that all that food you were trying to get was to pay back an angry bear, we would've given it to you."

RJ did a double-take. "Really?" he asked.

"Yeah, that's what families do," replied Verne. "They look out for each other."

RJ was dumbfounded by this revelation. "...I've never had anything like that..." he mumbled.

"I know," replied Verne. "But believe me, this... This is the gateway to the good life." he gestured towards his woodland family.

"Aww~" The adventure group awed at the cute family moment.

"I really wish you would've told me that sooner." RJ replied bashfully.

"Well, that's bad communication," Verne replied. "Also something families do. So, what do you say? You wanna be a part of it?" he then asked.

RJ looked all around before setting his bag down as he decided to stay.

"Come here, come here," Hammy said tearfully as he came up to the raccoon to give him a nice, big, warm hug. "I promised I wouldn't do this. Okay?"

"What about you guys?" Verne asked the adventure group. "You wanna stay too?"

"Oh! Uh, well, we would, but... Uh... Um..." Cherry stammered, not sure what to say.

"Thank you, but no thank you," Lionel explained. "We have places to go, adventures to have, but we'll always treasure this adventure."

"Uh, yeah, what he said." Cherry added.

"Are you sure?" Verne asked.

"Yeah, this was nice and cool, but we gotta go." Atticus replied.

"Aww, don't go!" Hammy cried as he latched onto Mo. "I was gonna share my nuts with you!"

"Uh, I'm flattered, but no thank you." Mo said with wide eyes.

Lionel guffawed with laughter at that line. "Sorry, Hammaronio, but Atticus is already sharing his nuts with Mo!" he cackled.

"Aww..." Hammy pouted.

Atticus and Mo both blushed about that sentiment.

"See you around then?" Verne asked the adventure group.

"Maybe?" Cherry shrugged. "Who knows what the future holds, I guess?"

"Probably someday." Thor replied as RJ was in a group hug.

"What a first week of spring," Verne smiled, until he realized... "Wait a minute! That means there's only 267 days left 'til winter! What are we gonna do for food?"

Hammy raised his hand and waved it around.

"Yes, Hammy?" asked Verne.

"I filled the log!" The squirrel pointed to the log, now overflowing with acorns. "Look, look! I found my nuts!"

Lionel collapsed on the ground in another fit of laughter. Atticus sighed while Cherry cupped her mouth with slight snickers, mostly laughing because Lionel was laughing and it felt contagious. Suddenly, a portal appeared, sucking Atticus, Cherry, Lionel, Mo, and Thor through it as they were suddenly taken away from their new friends in an instant.

"Well, that was a fun little escapade," Lionel remarked as he and the others began changing back to their human forms during their journey through the portal. "But I can't wait to get back home. I'm starved!"

"Yeah, I'm a bit hungry too." Cherry nodded.

"I could eat," Thor smiled before narrowing his eyes. "But according to a certain weasel, I'm always hungry."

"I was a mongoose and I can't help it that you are." Cherry retorted.

"Guys, let's just get some food in our stomachs, alright?" asked Atticus as they exited the portal. "We should be alright then."

They soon ended up in Cherry's house, all crashing in the middle of the living room couch.

"I'm not sure what the point of that mission was, but it was something else." Cherry commented.

"Maybe we'll get another," Mo replied as she and the others got to their feet. "But in the meantime..." And she dashed into the kitchen.

"Hey, wait up!" Atticus laughed as he ran after her.

"Those two crazy kids." Cherry shook her head.

"Let's get some lunch on!" Thor announced hungrily.

"Read my mind, you did!" Lionel croaked as he followed behind.

With a shrug and a smile, Cherry came after them. "Hey, leave some for me, at least!" she called.

The group shared a laugh together as they went to get some lunch. Cherry's adventure scrapbook was soon shown before there was a group photo added in the newest blank page of her with her friends as they joined the Hedgies for a group photo together before the book closed as they went to share some food together until their next big adventure together.

The End
