One of the many things that I love about fanfiction.net is being able to read about other peoples ideas and seeing them come to life. I may not often review stories but I find it hard sometimes because I feel that when I do it should have a purpose other than just saying 'Good job' or 'Amazing! Can't wait for the next chapter.' I feel that responses like that are just inadequate but again that's just me.

However one of the biggest types of stories on this site that get bashed often are self inserts. Personally I love reading them. I want to see what others do with their stories and what they'd do with it. Whether they stay so close to cannon or completely derail it really doesn't matter to me. As long as the story keeps my interest with how relationships between the characters are or just plot progression. That being said, I actually envy those writers. Even though they are one of the most hated type of fics out there, they still have the strength to post them and take the hits both the positive and negative. That's the strength that I wish I had. I have my own self insert stories that I have written but I fear that I am bringing forth the most hated aspect of the site Mary/Gary Sue/Stu, or at least treading really close to it and that's what's holding me back among other things. That's why I removed the stories I had up previously. I actually go out of my way to find a lot of self insert stories because I want to see how many people actually tread onto that path and see what they accomplished. As for me, I won't be posting anything anytime soon until I feel I can post something on this site that I can truly be proud of. For those of you that follow and or favorited me, I'm sorry it took me so long to even admit this and I hope you can forgive me for it.
