"Okay... So far I'd say everything looks real... Nice." Odette said to the older woman as they looked at the arrangements.

"Much, much more romantic." Bridget smiled as she held her hands together.

The others looked over at each other in concern at the decorating that Bridget had done.

"Is that supposed to look like a mess?" Tyke asked suddenly before Thor covered his muzzle.

"Do not be rude." Thor whispered firmly.

"It, uh, looks really nice." Mo smiled nervously.

"Uh, yeah, let's go with that." Cherry said.

"Can we eat now?" Tyke asked.

The others looked bashful.

"Well, I suppose you have been working pretty hard," Odette said to them. "I wanted you to wait a bit, but I suppose if you're that hungry..."

"Score!" Tyke cheered and laughed before running right into the kitchen.

"Sorry about him, Odette," Thor said to the former swan princess bashfully. "I guess Tyke thinks more with his stomach... Then again, I shouldn't be one to talk." he then said bashfully as he could be the same way sometimes.

"That's all right," Odette smiled. "I'm just glad that you get to enjoy this time with us too. It's very important for Derek and I since we've been married for a whole year."

"Kinda reminds me of something actually." Cherry remarked with a small smirk.

"Same here." Mo said while blushing a bit.

"Oh, yeah, you mean about you and Atticus becoming parents." Thor smiled at Mo.

Mo simply blushed bright red as she covered her face.

"What? I'm right, aren't I?" Thor asked.

"Uh... Well... Erm..." Mo stammered and smiled sheepishly.

"...That's not where I was going with that, but... Sure," Cherry said before smirking. "Atticus and Mo are gonna pop out a Baby Atticus pretty soon too."

"Well, hopefully not too soon." Mo said.

"That's wonderful news." Odette smiled.

"Should one of us go and see if Atticus and Patch want something to eat?" Thor asked.

"Since you suggested it, you can do it," Cherry said as she walked over to the kitchen. "I'm going there first if no one else is going."

Thor shrugged before he decided to go check on Atticus and Patch again.

Patch soon put down the last weight before sighing a bit. "Phew... I'm worn out now... I need fuel," he then said. "I know I'm gonna sound like my brother Rolly, but I'm hungry, Atticus... I really am." he then said tiredly and hungrily.

"Hmm... Now that you mention it so am I." Atticus said,

"Great minds think alike." Patch smiled.

"I suppose they do," Atticus smiled back. "I wonder if the others are also hungry?"

"I just hope Derek remembers his and Odette's anniversary." Patch replied.

"We'll see if we can find him later," Atticus replied before looking over as he opened the doors before Thor fell right in and landed on the floor before standing right back up. "Oh. Hey, Thor."

"Hey, guys," Thor said. "We've been cleaning all day, so we're gonna head into the kitchen."

"Decorating?" Patch smiled. "Sounds nice. Does it look nice?" he then asked.

"Uh... Well... It's interesting..." Thor said with a nervous smile.

"Uh, interesting how?" Patch asked.

"Let's just say if Rarity was here she would have a nightmare." Thor whispered to them in case Bridget overheard.

"Ohh... That interesting, huh?" Atticus asked.

"Yep," Thor nodded. "Oh, by the way; you two wanna join us for something to eat?"

"Sure, I guess we could do that." Atticus nodded.

"I was starting to get hungry like my brother Rolly." Patch added.

"Sounds like you two had quite the work-out then," Thor said before they left the room. "Let's get something to eat and maybe we can see where Derek ended up." he then suggested.

The boys then left down the hallway together to head over to the kitchen as they all seemed to be very hungry.

Meanwhile, the girls stood around at the interesting table setting as Bridget soon stuck a couple of knives in the middle of the table.

"...Well, I guess that's one way to set the table..." Cherry said as she cringed nervously.

"Here, I think I should light the candles," Mo soon suggested before smiling bashfully at Bridget. "You've already done so much for us."

"Yeah, we don't want you to, uh, overwork yourself." Cherry said.

Unfortunately, Bridget still lit the candles, but with a torch as it melted the wax from the candles and set the flowers on fire. "Hot flowers! Hot flowers!" the hag then yelped.

Odette soon put out the fire with a pitcher of water. Cherry groaned and face-palmed with both hands, burying her face in slight frustration and anxiety.

"Maybe it's a good thing Derek's late." Odette said to the others in concern.

"Derek's always late," Bridget spoke up. "Sometimes even forever."

"I know." Odette sighed and frowned.

Soon, Cherry and the others came into the kitchen and had some snacks that were laid out so that they could do more stuff later.

"I wonder where Derek could be?" Thor wondered as he set down a plate to make a steak sandwich before he turned around and Tyke seemed to eat the food when his back was turned. "Maybe he overslept."

"I think he's with Rogers being reminded about someone coming to the castle." Patch said as he started eating his food.

"Well, hopefully he'll get to eat dinner with Odette without anything getting in the way." Atticus said as he ate a sandwich.

"Are you just asking for something to happen?" Cherry asked in the familiar tone of deadpan.

"It's bound to happen eventually, I guess." Atticus replied.

"Why don't you just say 'At least it's not raining cheeseburgers' or something?" Cherry rolled her eyes.

Atticus shrugged bashfully as they all began to enjoy their snacks.

Thor soon turned around with mustard, mayonnaise, ketchup, and pickles. "...Hey, where'd my steak sandwich go?" he then pouted.

Tyke burped in response and grinned sheepishly as Thor gave him a stern look with his hands on his hips.

"Dogs... I shoulda known better..." Thor sighed and shook his head before petting Tyke. "Aw... I can't stay mad at you."

"Well, he is a puppy." Mo smiled.

"Guilty as charged." Tyke said

Meanwhile, Derek was seen walking down the hall with Rogers being reminded about a visitor. Thor playfully growled at Tyke.

Tyke cried out and began to run while laughing as Thor smirked and decided to make himself another sandwich. The bulldog pup laughed before he stopped where he was as he saw Derek and Rogers. "Ah, there's Prince Derek now." he then said, relieved once he saw the prince that they had been looking for before.

"Odette and your new friends await you for dinner, sir." Rogers reminded the prince as they walked down the hallway together.

"Right... Now, the King of Lichtenschire..." Derek then began to say.

"He arrives on Sunday, sir." Rogers then reminded.

"Give him the red carpet, Rogers." Derek then suggested.

"Of course, Derek." Rogers replied.

"The banner and trumpets and banquet." Derek said.

"And you'll need to present him with a gift." Rogers told him.

'Wow. He is really busy.' Thor thought to himself.

"Oh... Good catch... Don't let me forget that," Derek replied with a small smile before he faced a couple of servants behind him who were painting. "Excuse me? It needs to be a shade darker, guys." he then told them before walking away suddenly.

The servants then suddenly stopped doing what they were doing and looked over as Derek walked past them.

Rogers just shrugged at them before calling out to Derek once again. "And don't forget! Your mother's birthday, Sire!" he then quickly added as he came t catch up with the prince.

"Oh... Hard to forget something like that," Derek said before facing Rogers who ran in behind him suddenly. "But Rogers, those shrubs are looking weak... They really need to be trimmed." he then suggested.

"Yes, yes, I'll take care of it," Rogers nodded before calling again. "Oh, Derek, wait! Don't be late for dinner, sir!"

"Oh, thanks... I'll be there," Derek said as he continued to walk down the corridor. "Just give me two minutes."

"More like 20..." Rogers grumbled.

"Ah, don't be too hard on Derek," Thor said as he leaned against the wall with his arms crossed. "I tend to get scatterbrained too whenever I have a lot on my plate... Especially with school and my sports and babysitting my little sister. It just takes a lot out of ya if you aren't too careful."

"I see." Rogers said.

"We'll do our best to make sure that he remembers dinner." Tyke replied.

"And to let nothing get in the way." Thor added.

"What could get in the way?" Tyke wondered.

"Danger, someone uninvited... I could go on..." Thor shrugged as he carefully held his bulldog pup as they walked off together.

Meanwhile, outside in the forest, someone was shown with a bow and arrow before shooting the arrow in the middle of the ground and it quickly caught on fire. He then began to shoot another arrow while no one seemed to know what he was doing that evening.

Back with the others, Bridget lit the candles in the dining room again and this time, nothing caught on fire.

"There. Now, all we need is a prince." Odette soon said.

Then suddenly, as if on cue, there came Derek. "Odette," he said as he rushed over to his princess. "I-I'm sorry. I can't make it for dinner. Someone started another fire in The Western Fields. I've got to go." he then told her before he left the room again.

'Oh, come on!' Patch thought to himself.

Odette simply frowned as Derek wouldn't get to have dinner with her, celebrating their anniversary.

Cherry soon came by with a small half-smile. "All right, Odette... When's dinner?" she then asked.

"...I'm afraid it might be delayed." Odette sighed wearily.

Cherry frowned in concern before narrowing her eyes. "...Did Derek cancel?" she then guessed.

This made Odette nod.

"Son of a..." Cherry grumbled and rolled her eyes. "I'm gonna kill him."

"Did he tell you why?" Atticus asked as he, Mo, Thor, and Tyke walked in.

"Someone started a fire on the Western Field." Odette replied.

"So are we gonna join him and by that, I mean are we all going to join him?" Mo asked Odette.

"You can go ahead if you want," Odette sighed. "I understand that royal business comes first, but sometimes it feels like I never see Derek anymore after we got married."

"Well, that's what becoming King will do to ya," Cherry shrugged. "At least that's what I've learned from my experience in this world and my many adventures with random friends here and there."

"I wanna go fight the fire." Tyke smirked.

"I don't feel comfortable about you going alone," Thor told his bulldog pup before he looked over. "I'll go along and you guys can come too if you want." he then said with his hands on his hips.

"I'm sure that Bromley will be going with him." Odette then said.

"Alright." Atticus said.

"Do you wanna come with us?" Patch asked Odette.

"Yeah, we could use all the help we can get to put out the fire." Mo said.

"While also catching the person that started the fire." Thor added.

"Oh... I don't know... Maybe I should stay here..." Odette pondered.

The others looked at each other before shrugging as they decided to go after Derek and Bromley while Odette stayed behind. At least for right now, unless she suddenly decided to change her mind.

Soon, everyone rode out on horseback, though Thor decided to ride one horse with Cherry behind him while Atticus took another horse with Mo behind him, to cover more ground and despite Cherry coming from a family who knew how to train and ride horses, she did not as she wasn't interested in the family activity. Puffin, Jean-Bob, and Speed soon came into the scene suddenly and they could now speak to and understand Derek and vice versa after Odette and the others helping him learn how to do so and plus with a little bit of magic.

"I saw the brute who started the fire!" Puffin told the others as he flew in. "He's a huge fella with an ugly face! He's got iron arms and he's deadly with a bow and arrow!"

"Don't lose him, Puffin. Brom and I will follow." Derek told him.

Bromley began to start stuttering after hearing that.

"No fear." Puffin replied with a thumb's up.

"I hate it when he says that." Jean-Bob muttered.

"Can I get that on a T-Shirt?" Cherry smirked.

"I wonder about you sometimes." Jean-Bob said to her.

"That's me... Cherry Butler: one of life's greatest mysteries." Cherry shrugged innocently.

Odette soon gave in and brought out her own horse-drawn carriage, meeting some people on her way out. "I'm going to help put out the fire." she then volunteered herself.

"All right!" Cherry approved. "Always good to see a princess doing stuff rather than just staying behind and singing to animals like Snow White."

"No way. It's too dangerous, Odette." Derek told his princess.

"They'll need these blankets." Odette replied before taking off on the horse-drawn carriage.

"You better go with her, Brom." Derek told his best friend.

"Well, I'd rather go with you, but okay." Bromley lied before taking off on his horse.

The adventure group seemed to roll their eyes as Bromley was still quite a bit of a coward.

"Speed." Derek called to the turtle then.

Speed then stood up and saluted Derek, knocking Jean-Bob off of his shell suddenly.

"You and Jean-Bob take the rivers," Derek began to command. "See if you can slow this guy down."

"Right away, sir." Speed nodded before he let Jean-Bob climb back on his shell as they came into the water to do their task, though the turtle began to live up to his name as he began to speed through the water.

"We'll cover the main ground since we can't fly like Puffin." Tyke suggested, referring to himself and Patch.

"Right." Patch nodded.

"While me and Atticus go with Derek." Thor said.

"Sounds like a plan." Atticus nodded.

"Speed! Slow down! Speed!" Jean-Bob cried out.

"That's an odd statement." Thor chuckled to himself at the ironic theme.

"Yeah, yeah, very funny." Cherry rolled her eyes.

Speed and Jean-Bob soon went over the waterfall due to how fast the turtle was going and they suddenly splashed down at the water below the waterfall.

Once out of the water, Speed then took off again with Jean-Bob still on his shell. Puffin flew around in the sky before he soon saw a man running through the forest away from the fire. Derek then made his horse ride over a gap in the ground, then went to make his horse go faster after seeing where Puffin was flying.

"Speed, slow down!" Jean-Bob cried out before the turtle suddenly stopped for a moment.

Patch and Tyke looked around the forest before they found the strange man.

"I think I found the guy." Tyke told Patch as he saw someone he didn't know.

"Yep, he matches Puffin's description perfectly." Patch said.

"Well, when he tries to cross the water he'll go for a trip." Tyke smiled as he laughed a little as he knew Speed would seen as another rock to step on.

"It'll be a 'splashy' entrance." Patch added with a smirk.

Speed continued to speed through the water, much to his frog friend's chagrin.

"Slow down! Slow down! Slow down!" Jean-Bob cried out as he struggled to hold on much longer, even flinching from the cattails. He then stood up on top of Speed's shell and smirked once he didn't fall off and seemed to be pretty slick so far. However, one caught him suddenly as he was flung back on it before suddenly sprung forward back onto the turtle's shell at an instant.

Hang on." Speed told Jean-Bob as he soon went over to the stepping stones that the man who started the fire was going to walk on to continue his escape.

The man hopped over the other stepping stones just as Speed arrived right on cue before he stepped onto the turtle's shell and suddenly slipped, tripped, and began to fall.

Jean-Bob yelped as he laid in the water and the man suddenly fell right on top of him, sitting on the frog instantly and was suddenly riding backwards through the water.

"Well, I didn't expect that." Tyke remarked.

"Jean-Bob must be swimming away with him." Patch guessed.

"Yeah, that makes sense." Tyke said.

"Let's hope the others catch up so we can stop this guy while putting out the fire." Patch replied.

"Right." Tyke nodded.

The man soon got out of the lake and climbed up with the help of a tree in front of him.

"Darn." Speed complained as he slapped the water with his fist.

Meanwhile, Derek continued to ride off while he still could as he still followed Puffin from the ground.

As the man was running away, he thought he was alone and safe, but someone had come with him and was standing on top of his head.

"Excuse me, Monsieur... You have missed my stop," Jean-Bob complained as he stood upon the man's head as he kept running. "I want to get off!"

The man continued to run, of course, not understanding a word of the frog at all.

"I said I want to get off!" Jean-Bob complained before he was then caught in a tree limb above the man's head as he kept running without the frog that time. "But not that bad..."

There seemed to be screaming far away in the fields around where the fires were. Cherry blinked before flinching suddenly.

"You okay, Cherry?" Thor asked her in concern.

"I heard something..." Cherry replied. "Seems to be... Screaming."

"Screaming? Who's screaming?" Mo asked.

"We'll have to find out." Thor said.

"I guess we're gonna go that way while Derek handles the fire starter?" Cherry guessed.

"Maybe that would be a good idea." Thor replied.

"Okay, let's try to make this quick." Atticus said before he grunted and made his horse turn around.

The other two horses rode by Atticus, Cherry, Mo, and Thor soon turned around to follow the sounds of panicked screams.
