A/N: Here you go, a new chapter! Sorry it took so long, but things have been a little complicated for me behind the scenes for me and my collab partner for this adventure project. Hope this makes up for it, but if not... Well... I wasn't forcing you to read this story in the first place.

The next morning soon came after everyone had a rather eventful evening, especially due to the wildfires and what had happened to their newest friend who was in one of the extra rooms of the castle and was fast asleep. Odette wanted to keep an eye on Alise overnight, so she sat there and waited with the girl so that she would be more comfortable and she and Derek would probably end up adopting the poor girl. Cherry panted a bit in the other room for her and Mo as she was straining and grunting a bit as she seemed to be trying very hard to close a certain book. "Sheesh! How is it that this book can be so hard to close?" she then grunted.

Alise soon began to wake up before getting startled when she saw Odette.

"Good morning." Odette greeted the young girl.

Alise flinched as Odette had startled her a bit as Cherry grunted and even tried to sit on the book to shut it.

"You slept the night away." Odette told Alise softly.

Alise soon looked around in alarm once she realized that she wasn't back home where she came from.

"You must be famished." Odette then gently told the girl.

Alise just shook her head before she jumped out of the bed, then looked down to see that she was wearing a violet-colored nightgown and began to feel even more confused.

"Sorry... It's one of mine..." Odette smiled as she helped Alise adjust her new nightgown. "There."

Alise looked thankful, but she still lifted up the skirt so that she could walk around easier without tripping over her feet as she looked around the room before seeing Cherry.

"Hey, don't mind me," Cherry said to Alise. "Just trying to close this gigantic book."

Alise tilted her head in confusion as to why Cherry would have a book that big.

"Trust me; it's best not to know, it'll just bring in more questions," Cherry said. "Anyway, welcome to the castle."

"Um... T-Thank you..." Alise spoke softly.

"She speaks." Cherry noted.

Alise smiled softly before she continued to look around as she wandered around the bedroom. She then looked over at the flower vase before she then looked at the vanity table and stepped over toward it and looked into the mirror. She then decided to sit down and looked right into the mirror in wide wonder.

Odette smiled before she picked up the hairbrush that was on the table. "Do you mind?" she then asked, going to brush the girl's hair, but only if she had permission.

Alise seemed to shake her head in response.

"You have very beautiful hair." Odette smiled as she then began to brush Alise's hair tenderly.

"...Maybe I'll leave you guys alone," Cherry then said as this looked like a tender moment between the two. "I have other things to do and maybe the others can help me close this book." She then left the room with her book as she grunted a bit more from how heavy it was.

Alise seemed to enjoy Odette brushing her hair, but she still missed her father. Odette looked down in concern, so she stopped brushing Alise's hair. Alise stood up from her seat and hugged Odette as she broke down into tears. Odette held Alise in comfort as she thought about how she felt when she lost her own father as it still hurt her inside, even if it was only a year ago. "I know, Alise... I know and I will always be here for you," she said as she hugged the poor girl. "I promise."

Meanwhile, Cherry soon came down the corridor before flinching with wide eyes as she was startled by a high-pitched sound, then poked her head into the room that the sound came from and saw that Queen Uberta was looking excited about something.

"Ooh-hoo-hoo! More birthday wishes!" Queen Uberta beamed as she was surrounded by open letters in her room. "Oh, I love it! I love how my people shower me with praise and respect!"

Cherry then backed away slowly before she could be noticed by Queen Uberta so that she could keep doing what she was doing.

"Ah, the Duke of Windsor," Queen Uberta smiled as she read the card. "'Dearest Uberta, don't be down, don't be nifty, We still think you're still here, you're still kicking, even though you're 50'?! Oh, no one should even mention the very number!" she then decided to pick up another birthday card.

"That woman is 50? Interesting..." Cherry said to herself as she continued to walk down the corridor.

"'So, you're turning fif'-" Queen Uberta began to read aloud her next birthday card before looking horror-struck at it again. "Well, I've got a number for you, buddy! 86!" she then added before tossing that card away instantly and decided to read a different card again before it showed a pop-up of the number 50 and jumped out at her, causing her to yelp and drop it on the floor. "Oh, where is Derek's letter?" she then sighed as she put her hand to her head in distress as she dropped her birthday cards. "He wouldn't leave me so impolitely... Oh, where is it?" she asked before scrambling through the card pile before she suddenly got an idea. "Ooh! He's so busy with his own kingdom, he's forgotten his poor mother!"

"I thought your birthday was tomorrow, Your Majesty!" Cherry called out.

"Oh... I don't know who said that, but that's right... My birthday isn't until tomorrow." Queen Uberta then suddenly realized.

"Hopefully that keeps her busy until she has time to get to know her own grandchild." Cherry then smirked at herself before she went to meet up with her friends. She then continued to grunt as she carried her book over to where her friends were.

"I still can't believe someone would start a fire for no good reason." Mo glared.

"Sickening..." Atticus nodded. "Never start forest fires."

"We won't." Tyke and Patch both promised.

"Good," Thor smiled at them before he narrowed his eyes. "If I ever see the dirtbag who started that fire, they're gonna wish they never met me."

"Sounds like you guys are still steamed about what happened last night." Cherry said as she came over to them while lugging around the very heavy book.

"Well, of course we are." Mo said.

"Wow... That is one big book." Tyke said as he saw the book Cherry was lugging around.

"Need some help closing it?" Atticus asked his best human friend.

"Yes." Cherry grunted.

"All right, bring it here." Atticus told her.

Cherry then came over and lifted the book before setting it down on the table. Atticus and Thor both walked over before they jumped up and both landed on top of the book, closing it shut.

"Haha! Gotcha until next time..." Cherry said before locking the book once both sides were clamped shut and locked it up until next time.

"What's in that book anyway?" Tyke asked.

"It's my adventure scrapbook," Cherry told him. "I dunno if Thor ever told you this, Tyke, but this book records all of the adventures I've ever had before and what might even happen in the future."

"Wow. That's a lot of adventures." Tyke said.

"I know." Cherry replied.

"So did Alise wake up yet?" Patch asked,

"Yeah, although it'll take her time to adjust here though I do think that Odette and Derek would be perfect parents for her." Cherry said.

"You really think so?" Patch asked.

"Well, I'm hoping for it anyway," Cherry shrugged. "She seems like a sweet girl based on what I saw last night."

"Well, I'm sure Derek and Odette will decide to adopt her." Mo smiled.

"Hopefully his responsibilities as king won't get in the way." Thor said.

"Yeah... Being a king can take a toll on ya." Cherry replied.

"How do you know, Cherry?" Tyke asked curiously. "Have you ever been a king before?"

"...Well, no, but I've seen this sorta thing happen before in my many adventures," Cherry replied before shrugging. "It's just something you sorta pick up on after a while."

"Hmm... I guess that makes sense." Tyke said before shrugging.

Chamberlain was soon coming down the hallway.

"You going to see Queen Uberta?" Cherry asked him.

Chamberlain merely nodded at her.

"Good luck, buddy." Cherry then smirked.

"Why?" Thor asked.

"Let's just say she isn't exactly happy after seeing two of her cards saying how old she is going to be." Cherry replied.

"Yikes." Patch winced.

"How old is she gonna be?" Thor asked.

"50." Cherry replied.

"...Oh," Thor said before shrugging. "I remember Hilda's birthday when she tried so hard to conceive a child before it would be too late for her."

Cherry smirked and snickered, remembering that as well with Drell's reaction to the whole deal before Ambrose was finally conceived.

"Maybe we could cheer her up." Thor suggested.

"...I don't think we should get involved." Cherry replied.

"Aww!" Tyke frowned.

"Oh, come on. Tomorrow is her birthday." Mo said.

"Then you can spend time with her then." Cherry replied.

"We should still help out." Tyke smiled hopefully.

"Take my advice on what my human just said," Cleo said as she randomly appeared, seemingly from nowhere as she wore some sort of special collar. "Don't get involved."

"Cleo..." Patch said as he came over to her. "Where'd you come from?"

"Yeah, we didn't think Cherry brought you along on this trip." Atticus added.

"She didn't," Cleo explained calmly. "There's something weird going on with some magic back home... So Salem was kind enough to help me out with what he, Hilda, and Zelda could do."

"Um, that's good to know." Atticus said.

"But why shouldn't we get involved?" Patch asked.

"Just trust me on this one." Cherry said.

"What're we talking about?" Cleo asked before jumping out.

"Queen Uberta's birthday," Cherry answered as she carried her kitten in her arms. "It's complicated."

"It's a birthday party." Cleo defended.

"Yes, but for a very overly dramatic woman," Cherry rolled her eyes. "If you guys really wanna go though, we could check it out for a minute and have some cake, but then I am going right back inside after cake is handed out."

"Fine." Mo said.

"But of course let's hope she won't try and guilt trip us into staying." Atticus said.

"Oh, come on; even Queen Uberta wouldn't sink that low." Patch replied.

"You people annoy me sometimes." Cherry muttered and shook her head.

"What? What'd I say?" Patch asked.

"...Nothing," Cherry sighed sharply. "Let's just get going."

"Right." Mo nodded.

'Let's hope nothing happens to Uberta while her birthday comes.' Tyke thought to himself.

"Should one of us check on Derek?" Thor asked.

"I don't know why you suggest things like that out loud and not just go and do them," Cherry remarked. "Seriously, what's stopping you if you do?"

"Maybe we should go check on Derek." Thor then said.

Cherry rolled her eyes at how annoyingly obvious that was to her, but everyone else felt slow today.

Chamberlain soon ran in to see Queen Uberta as he had to. "A message from P-Prince Derek for you!" he soon announced.

"Yes!" Queen Uberta cheered in victory before she smirked at the tiny man behind her. "Now let me guess; he's holding a ball in my honor?" she then guessed before changing her mind. "No, no! He's established a new holiday! Uberta's Day!" she then giggled in excitement for herself.

"Erm... Actually... Someone has set his field on fire." Chamberlain then explained while looking nervous about how she would react.

Queen Uberta then looked quickly devastated by that and looked ready to cry that her son didn't seem to be thinking about her at all.

"Erm... Uh... Uberta?" Chamberlain then asked in concern.

"It's more than I can bear!" Queen Uberta then cried out.

"No one was hurt, dear queen," Chamberlain then began to tell her. "Except for maybe one of the peasant men who had to save his young daughter before she would get hurt from the fire along with him."

"Don't you know what this means, Chamberlain?" Queen Uberta asked.

"Um, war? And the child will either be sent to an orphanage or be adopted by Prince Derek and Princess Odette?" Chamberlain guessed.

"No! Now Derek is sure to forget about my birthday." Queen Uberta said before crying.

Chamberlain comforted the queen, although he wondered how long it would take her to realize that she might get a grandchild. Queen Uberta continued to cry and cry as her voice got louder and louder. Chamberlain then patted her on the back as gently as he could for emotional support until it hit her.

"...Wait, did you say a child?" Queen Uberta then suddenly asked.

"Erm... Yes...?" Chamberlain replied nervously.

"Oh! Why didn't you just say so?!" Queen Uberta gasped as she dashed out of her chair suddenly. "Oh, I know just what to do! I need all of the money we have in the palace!"

"Erm... For what, Your Highness?" Chamberlain pondered suddenly.

"What do you think?! I'm a grandmother and that means it's my job to spoil my new grandchild!" Queen Uberta beamed. "Erm... Is the child a boy or a girl?"

"A girl." Chamberlain said nervously.

"Oh, that's even better! I've always wanted to look after a little girl!" Queen Uberta then squealed and beamed before rushing off suddenly. "I just hope Rogers doesn't mind that he'll have someone to teach again like when Derek was young! This is so exciting and is probably going to be one of my best birthdays yet!"

"But Prince Derek has not..." Chamberlain started before sighing. "...Decided to adopt the child yet, but hopefully he and Princess Odette will adopt her."

Derek was soon seen with the chef and a list. Thor soon wandered out into the hallway and carried Tyke in his arm while he and the others came to see Derek.

"And these... These are the choices for... Sunday Dinner with the King of Lichtenshire," The chef then began to tell Derek as he gave the younger man the list at hand. "Um... I'm thinking h-he'd like my... My F-F-Fettuccine Alfredo."

"Heh... Can't go wrong with alfredo..." Thor grinned at himself as he suddenly started to drool.

"Watch it!" Tyke cried out as he put his paw over his face since Thor was drooling right over him.

Derek chuckled before he gave the list back. "I think he'd be crazy not to." he then said.

"Oh... T-T-Thank you, sir!" The chef beamed and waved Derek in gratitude.

"There you go, guys." Derek smiled at the two men that were painting the wall.

The two men soon smiled back.

"Hey, Derek." Thor greeted.

"Oh, hey there, Thor," Derek replied with a small smile. "What're you doing?"

"Oh, just taking Tyke for a walk," Thor said as he shoved his bulldog pup in Derek's face before setting him down. "And exploring a little."

"I'm just getting ready to meet Odette to make up for what happened last night." Derek then said.

"Well, at least you won't be in the doghouse that way," Thor said before looking at Tyke. "My dad says that Uncle Drell gets in trouble with Hilda Spellman a lot that way."

"And trust me, it happens more than you think." Tyke said.

"Good to know," Derek said before facing Bridget. "Is everything ready?"

Bridget nodded as she showed picnic basket. Thor began to reach out for the picnic basket.

"Ah, ah, ah!" Bridget tutted as she moved it out of his way, wagging her finger at him.

"Aww..." Thor and Tyke both pouted as they wouldn't get food that easily.

Derek smiled as he soon walked away and then came to see Rogers and Bromley in the next room.

Thor wandered over a bit and came to see his friends before some cleaning, construction, and various other noises could be heard in another room.

"Hey! What's going on?!" Cherry greeted a bit loudly as the sound in the background was getting louder.

"I think Prince Derek has a surprise for Odette!" Thor replied before whispering. "Why are we shouting?"

"Something's going on in the other room!" Cherry told him. "I think I'm gonna go deaf if it doesn't stop soon!"

"Then please stop shouting!" Cleo told her.

"Please." Patch begged.

"Let's listen in without shouting." Atticus whispered.

"Well, somebody turn that noise down!" Cherry cried out as she put her hands over her ears. "It's giving me a headache!"

Atticus was about to until he realized something. "Right... No magic..." he then said. "Uh, Thor? Think you can...?"

"Oh, boy! Can I?" Thor beamed before he used his magic and made the construction noises a bit quieter for Cherry.

"Ah..." Cherry then sighed as she relaxed a little from that. "Thank you."

"You're welcome." Thor beamed, glad that he was able to help his friends like that.

"Now, let me see what's going on in there." Cleo said as she dashed off into the other room suddenly.

"She sure is swift." Mo commented.

"Well, she IS part cat burglar." Cherry smirked, proud of Cleo.

"Riiight." Mo said.

"And thankfully she is using her skills for good." Patch said.

Cleo began to move around swiftly and soon got to a part of the room where she wouldn't be spotted as she listened in. Inside the room, Queen Uberta seemed to be running around and decorating the room with streamers and all sorts of different party supplies and even brought in several gifts.

"Whoa... Looks like one of those baby party showers or whatever they're called in here." Cleo commented as she looked into the room so far.

"Ooh... The little dear is going to love this special little surprise," Queen Uberta beamed in excitement. "Plus best of all, she shall be my guest of honor at my birthday party... Even if I am turning the dreaded... Ugh... Age..." she then shuddered in horror and disgust.

"...I didn't know old ladies could move that fast..." Cleo commented before she would go back to meet Atticus, Cherry, Mo, and Thor, but as she made her way back to the others she saw Rogers making his way while carrying some stuff to teach Alise. "Ooh, boy... Queen Uberta is already way ahead of him." she then sighed.

"I know! I can put all of these treasures back in my study!" Rogers beamed in excitement. "A child in the castle again! Someone to teach!" he then looked over before flinching as a spyglass was suddenly in his face.

Bridget before smiling and lowering the spyglass suddenly.

"They should give that kid some space." Cleo suggested.

"I'm not sure who said that, but they're right," Rogers then suddenly said. "The poor girl has been through tragedy."

Cleo nodded before yowling and rushing out of the way before she could get stepped on as Bridget and Rogers came that way suddenly.

"Hello, my treasured room of enlightenment, I have returned to fulfill your empty stature!" Rogers said as he opened the latch on the door before suddenly dropping everything in his arms as he took a look at the room in complete and total shock.

"Ooh!" Bridget gasped as she ran into the room to see what Queen Uberta had done to the room, seeing what Cleo just saw moments ago.

"Oh, Rogers! Look at everything I found for Alise!" Queen Uberta beamed as she spun around in excitement. "Every girl simply must have a pony!" she then started to say before pulling in a pony that carried several gifts on its saddle. "And a quaint little dollhouse," she then added, showing the dollhouse which was rather big and tall, then showed various stuffed animals. "A stuffed puppy, kitten, and panda bear! A real puppy, kitten, and panda bear!" she then gestured to the living animals as the stuffed kitten seemed to be shredded with its stuffing lying on the floor.

Rogers just looked around, a bit horrified at what he was seeing.

"Evening clothes, daytime clothes, mid-afternoon clothes, and what girl could survive without a 'Marry Me, Leopold'?" Queen Uberta continued before she took out a singing prince doll in her hand.

As the doll began to start singing, it began to start singing a little too high as the puppy began to howl before Rogers grabbed the doll.

"Recess is over!" Rogers told her as he throws the doll away, smashing it before he grabbed one of the reins of the pony. "You are not allowed to."

"She's mine to spoil, Rogers!" Queen Uberta told him as she pulled the right rein.

"No, she is mine to mold!" Rogers retorted as he pulled the left rein.

"Gee, I wonder how this will turn out?" Cleo rolled her eyes.

Bridget giggled as she bounced and tossed around the kitten before she bent down and hugged the pony. "Ooh... Horsey~" she then cooed sweetly as the pony looked worried as Queen Uberta and Rogers fought around.

"She's all of ours," Odette said as she soon came in with Cherry and the others. "All of ours to help. She won't speak."

This then suddenly made Rogers and Queen Uberta stop fighting as they suddenly looked and felt guilty.

"The poor dear~..." Queen Uberta said softly.

"Give her some time, she's been through a lot," Mo told Odette. "If anyone knows how hard it is to lose one's family suddenly, it's... Well... It's probably me."

"Really?" Queen Uberta asked.

Mo simply nodded.

"What do we do then?" Rogers asked.

"Just give her plenty of time and space," Mo replied. "Let her talk when she's good and ready. She won't want to today, maybe even tomorrow... These things take a lot of time." she then advised softly.

"We understand." Odette said.

'Well, she might not be able to talk during, my birthday but I'm fine with her just being there.' Queen Uberta thought to herself.

"I'm sorry I can't make it any easy..." Mo started to say.

"It's all right," Odette softly told the tomboy before smiling. "We appreciate the help regardless."

Mo smiled back, glad that she was able to do something helpful.

"Well, I suppose I should go meet Bromley in the other room for something to share with Prince Derek." Rogers suggested as he began to leave the room.

"Mind if I join you?" Atticus asked.

"Not at all." Derek said.

"Meanwhile, we'll be with Odette." Patch said, referring to himself and the others.

"You do you," Rogers replied before he came into the next room as Atticus followed him. "Come along now, Atticus."

"Coming!" Atticus replied as he followed.

Soon, the group split up as they went to where they said they would go.

"So, what exactly is going on?" Atticus asked Rogers on the way to the other room.

"We're uncovering the mystery that came from last night." Rogers explained.

"Ooh, a mystery..." Atticus smiled. "I'm all in."

"Then you may come inside and we'll see what Derek has to say." Rogers replied.

"Sounds perfect for me." Atticus nodded as they soon came into the other room.

Atticus and Bromley then greeted each other while Rogers got ready until Derek soon made it over to them.

"Ah, good morning, Prince Derek." Rogers greeted once he saw the younger man.

"Morning, fellas. What have we got?" Derek replied and asked.

"We've gathered all of the clues from the strange events of last night," Rogers informed before he began to uncover something hidden from underneath the tarp that was on the table in front of him, Atticus, and Bromley. "Aha! A piece of the suspect's clothing!" he then said as he showed a torn fabric.

"Excellent," Derek smiled. "Brom, find out who makes this fabric and more importantly. who buys it."

"If you really want answers I'm gonna have to get rough." Bromley replied.

"Try not to hurt anyone." Derek said with a chuckle.

"Including yourself." Rogers muttered to Bromley.

"What about any footprints?" Atticus asked Rogers.

"I'm glad you asked that, because there are two more clues." Rogers then told Atticus.

"Oh... Go on then." Atticus replied.

"Yes..." Rogers nodded before taking out one of the clues. "This arrow from the trap," he then started before lifting up the next item, though shook a bit as it was very heavy for him due to what it was. "And most impressively, a mold of the suspect's footprint!" he then announced while grunting and straining.

"Good work, Rogers!" Derek approved with a smile.

"Only got one of 'em, mate?" Bromley smirked as he crossed his arms. "Makes MY job a little tougher."

Rogers then smirked and tossed the mold over to Bromley, making him catch it, but then suddenly fall over and hit the floor because of how very heavy the mold was for the two of them.

"Need help?" Atticus asked Bromley.

"I'm good." Bromley grunted.

Meanwhile, with Odette and the others, Bridget was soon packing for the picnic as Odette was bandaging Puffin's tailfeathers.

"Whoo-hoo-hoo!" Puffin suddenly cheered.

"Easy there, Tigger." Cherry smirked since that hooting reminded him of a certain bouncy tiger from a beloved children's book series.

"My mistake, but that's going to be some picnic!" Puffin smiled as he beamed with anticipation.

"Derek's trying to make up for forgetting our anniversary." Odette giggled as she soon finished bandaging Puffin.

"And what better way than with a picnic?" Patch smiled.

"I'm still wondering how your tailfeathers got damaged." Mo said.

"Yeah, how did that happen?" Cleo asked.

"Can we not discuss that right now?" Puffin glared.

"Sorry~" The others replied innocently.

Puffin then hopped out as he looked down with a pout. "I'll be grounded for two weeks with this bum tail." he then complained.

"You sure you don't wanna tell us what happened?" Cleo smirked.

"I'd watch myself if I were you, Whiskers." Puffin told her sternly.

"You know, no one ever told me what happened last night aside from what happened to Alise." Odette soon said.

"Your prince almost got me killed is what!" Jean-Bob glared and slit his throat with his finger as a demonstration.

Puffin laughed as he suddenly grabbed Jean-Bob and tried to cover the frog's mouth. "There you go! Exaggerating again." he then said nervously.

"Uh, yeah, what he said." Tyke smiled nervously.

"Are you sure?" Thor asked.

"Yep," Tyke smiled nervously. "Right, Patch?"

"Uh... Yeah... Sure..." Patch replied with a shrug, though he grinned suddenly.

Thor glanced at them suspiciously before shrugging. "Well, okay then!" he then said.

"I'd like to give him a taste of his own arrows!" Jean-Bob glared as he tried to break free.

Puffin just chuckled nervously at what the frog said. "Arrows? Ah, you're a funny one, Jean-Bob." he then added before placing the frog behind his back.

Jean-Bob then hopped from behind Puffin and landed on the steps next to Odette.

"Don't pick on Jean-Bob." Odette advised.

"Sorry, Odette," Jean-Bob then said with a shrug. "You can't expect manners from these... Commoners." he then said, pointing to Speed and Puffin.

"Oh, brother. I still can't believe you still think you're a prince." Patch told Jean-Bob.

"That's because I am a prince." Jean-Bob replied.

"He's never gonna grow out of this," Cherry said to the others dully. "Even after we're done here and go back home until our next adventures, he'll be stuck this way for the rest of his amphibian regal life." she then added before smirking smugly.

"Don't test me, Cerise!" Jean-Bob warned as he shook his fist at her since she called him an amphibian. "Besides, I don't think I'm a prince, I know!" he then added.

"But Odette gave you the kiss and you're still green and funny looking." Speed reminded.

"Something went wrong, that's all," Jean-Bob then covered up. "I am a prince!"

"I think we got our Fairy Tales crossed here." Cherry smirked as Speed and Puffin laughed at Jean-Bob.

"Hmph." Jean-Bob glared.

'He will never change.' Patch thought to himself.

"Derek and Atticus should be here soon." Mo said.

"You will see!" Jean-Bob huffed at Speed and Puffin who just kept laughing.

"Odette, I'm really sorry, but some big clues have come up," Derek soon said as he came by to see his princess. "I gotta go after this guy."

"Oh... Of course..." Odette said, turning away softly as she was neglected once again.

Derek then walked off to get right to work then.

"What about your mother's birthday?" Odette then asked Derek.

"And what about Alise?" Cherry added.

"Ohh!" Derek said as he had forgotten about that.

"Weren't you gonna surprise your mother first thing in the morning?" Cherry then asked Derek before crossing her arms.

"I just can't." Derek said with a sigh as he looked back at them.

"So these clues can't wait until tomorrow?" Mo asked.

"Yeah, her birthday is important and she'll be devasted if you aren't there to greet her first thing in the morning for her birthday or even to celebrate it with her." Patch told Derek.

"I've got the guy's footprint." Derek defended.

"It's not like his feet are going to change in the next 24 hours or something." Cherry retorted.

"Mother's just going to have to understand," Derek groaned a bit before walking off. "I've gotta do what's best for the kingdom."

Odette began to look a little down before Cherry glowed briefly.

"...Oh, hey... Odette... It's going to be okay..." Cherry said, trying to comfort the swan princess as she felt something.

And soon, Odette started to sing.

"I know what you were thinking." Cherry told Cleo.

"So is she a fairy tale princess like Snow White, Belle, Ariel, Jasmine-" Cleo began to ask.

"Yes, yes, pretty much," Cherry interrupted because she knew Cleo would end up naming all of the fairy tale princesses they all knew which would take up a lot of time. "She's very different from those ones we used to know though."

"You sure?" Cleo asked. "She seems to be the same... Like Mulan, Aurora, Cinderella, and-"

"Trust me, she's different," Cherry interrupted her kitten. "But I can see how you'd make that mistake."

"Hmm... Good to know." Cleo said thoughtfully.

"It's the wrong kind of magic, Now you see him, now you don't, Used to be he'd do anything for me, but not lately he won't, He used to slay dragons to keep me from harm and come running to my open arms~" Odette sang as she thought about the times she and Derek had time together. "I want the magic of love again, The look of longing in his eyes, All the wonder and surprise of knowing the best is yet to come, I need the magic of love again give me a magic wand to wave, Tell me the magic words to say to bring back the magic of love, In all the illusions he's a man who has many dreams, but it's so confusing to always be in between, I want the magic of love again, The subtle, sorcery of the heart that fire in his smile he used to start that makes me feel, I'll never get enough, Give me a magic wand to wave repeat the miracle it gave us, The wonderful magic of love~"

Cherry pretty much tuned out the song, but due to harboring the Element of Empathy, she felt a bit bad for Odette and wondered if there was anything she or the others could do to help. Soon, everyone decided to move on and do something else since Derek would be busy right now as Odette was alone from him yet again, though she tried not to let it bother her too much.
