The hot air balloon was soon seen going down a hole in the mountain-like volcano.
"Whatever it is you have planned, you'll never get away with it because you are a bad person and bad people stand no chance against good people like my son, Prince Derek!" Queen Uberta complained on the way into the secret place.
"Yeah, I guess you're right, but there's a problem with that, lady." Vicky replied.
"And what's that?" Queen Uberta then asked the redheaded girl.
"Being evil is too much fun!" Vicky grinned darkly. "I've been this way for a long time and nobody gets in my way!" she then scoffed and glared. "Until Timmy Turner's parents suddenly got smart and decided to fire me and somehow my parents stood up to me even though I overpowered them YEARS ago!"
"Plus we have someone ready to kill him." Jackson smirked.
Alise soon gasped as she held Queen Uberta closely.
"So who is this? And why did we also have to kidnap her?" Clavius asked Jackson and Vicky while referring to Alise.
"If you must know, this is Alise the adoptive daughter of Prince Derek and Princess Odette." Queen Uberta told him.
"And where you two will make the perfect bait so then Derek's destruction will be all the more delightful." Jackson smirked.
"Oh... I see..." Clavius then said with a small smirk. "How delightful."
Alise still flinched, feeling scared, but she glared at Clavius, Jackson, and Vicky with a firm pout on her face.
"Ooh, we're, like, so scared," Vicky rolled her pink eyes before smirking at Alise. "Gimme a break. I don't know how Timmy was able to mess with me whenever I babysat him, especially with those TV remotes and that dream where I took over the world before I got fired from babysitting, so I ain't scared of you, kid." she then taunted.
"Did your parents ignore you as children?" Queen Uberta asked all of them as they were on their way further down. "Now tell Queen Uberta, what dark secret lurks inside those tiny twisted minds of yours? COME ON! Out with it!" she then shouted.
"I was always like this, lady," Jackson glared before rolling his onyx eyes. "My father tried to change his name and avoid his sister at all costs, especially when he met my mother, but they knew I was doomed from the start when I strangled a Dalmatian puppy in my crib."
"Oh, my..." Queen Uberta gasped.
"Yep, I was born bad and nothing will change that." Jackson said.
"Same with me, only I tore off the head of my teddy bear." Vicky told Queen Uberta.
"Goodness!" Queen Uberta frowned before glaring. "You should probably talk about your issues with your parents while you're still long. So what will you do about that?"
"So stuff it, old lady," Vicky glared back. "You might live to be 51 if you're lucky."
"Don't you ever shut up?" Clavius complained to Queen Uberta.
"Have you any idea the penalty of kidnapping?" Queen Uberta retorted.
"It's a gamble," Clavius replied as Knuckles began to pull them in through the rope into the dark lair. "Give me anything... Uh... A sock!"
"I'm not even talking about kidnapping a queen and her new grandchild!" Queen Uberta then continued. "Just your basic kidnapping."
"I don't hear you! I'm not listening!" Clavius then said as he stuck his fingers in his ears to tune her out.
"I am talking to you!" Queen Uberta told him.
"Ugh! Does she ever stop talking?" Vicky complained.
"Unfortunately I don't think so." Jackson groaned.
"Get those two in the pen." Clavius told Knuckles while pointing to Queen Uberta and Alise.
Knuckles looked over before looking back at Clavius.
"Yes... GET THEM IN THE PEN!" Clavius repeated sharper before he ran off. "You two, come with me." he then told Jackson and Vicky.
"Gladly." Vicky rolled her eyes before she followed Jackson after Clavius to get away from Queen Uberta and Alise.
Knuckles then reached out to take Queen Uberta's hand only for her to recoil suddenly.
"DON'T TOUCH ME!" Queen Uberta hissed in annoyance and discomfort before showing him her crown. "We may be hostages, but we are still The Queen and Alise shall become a princess someday and it is still my birthday! You will walk five steps behind us," she then decided once she left the hot air balloon and picked up her skirt. "No more, no less. Come!" she then told him before walking off.
Alise then looked up and followed after her new grandmother as Knuckles began to count on his fingers as he followed after them.
"Sheesh! She's worse than Lauren Ledergerber." Vicky grumbled to herself.
"Ugh! Of all the men you had to hire it had to be him," Jackson told Clavius with a groan. "Even if he may know his way with a trap to kill a man, he doesn't know when not to take orders from a queen that's a hostage."
"Ugh. I know. I know." Clavius replied.
Once they arrived at the cell door, Queen Uberta waited for Knuckles to open the cell door for her.
"Oh, sorry." Knuckles said as he opened the cell door for her and Alise and he then saw Queen Uberta still wasn't going into the cell and she was making sure Alise didn't go in either.
"Bow!" Queen Uberta told him.
Knuckles then bent down into a bowing stance and gestured to the cell to bring Alise and Queen Uberta inside and they soon came inside.
"Now, I am sure it is well past lunch," Queen Uberta began to say before smiling. "My favorite birthday treat is cucumber sandwiches and peppermint day. GO!" she then commanded.
Alise looked up and over at the man as the cell door closed.
"Make that two though." Queen Uberta then said before patting Alise on the head gently.
Clavius looked annoyed with his henchman. "What ARE you doing?" he then demanded.
"Oh, I was just getting them, uh, cucumber sandwiches and some peppermint tea." Knuckles then explained.
"I see... Fascinating..." Clavius said before grabbing him by his shirt suddenly with a stern glare. "Get to work on the trap!"
"Besides, this isn't supposed to be fun." Jackson added firmly.
"And make sure to slice the cucumbers THINLY!" Queen Uberta then firmly told Knuckles.
"Well, she is the queen." Knuckles told Clavius, Jackson, and Vicky.
"Oh, really? How nice. How thoughtful." Vicky said sarcastically.
"And who are you, Ms. Suzie Homemaker?" Jackson asked Knuckles sarcastically.
"And who are we, pieces of lint?" Clavius added sarcastically before getting serious. "Do we need to remind you that I am about to become the most powerful man in the world?"
Knuckles seemed to pout in response to that rhetorical question.
"I think you better leave." Vicky suggested sternly.
Knuckles frowned at them before he decided to abide by Vicky's suggestion by getting out of the way.
"You two, come with me," Clavius then suggested to Jackson and Vicky. "For a couple of children, you are actually rather competent and better company than that Knucklehead Knuckles."
"Which is why you should have had someone much smarter than him set the traps and know not to take orders from the prisoner." Jackson said.
"Noted." Clavius nodded.
"Could do worse," Vicky replied. "I once thought about recruiting my little sister as a partner until she decided she was in love with my greatest enemy."
"Little sisters can be a challenge sometimes," Jackson nodded to her before smirking. "Though, sometimes they can be useful like Ivy."
"I'd rather have Ivy than Tootie honestly." Vicky chuckled.
"All right... Don't bring us lunch," Queen Uberta said firmly as she held onto the bars while Alise hid behind the older woman until she shouted. "BUT MY BIRTHDAY DINNER BETTER BE AWFULLY SPECIAL!"
"Ugh! That woman could give anyone a headache." Jackson complained.
Meanwhile back with the others...
Derek was shown to be reading a note that had a hole in it from the arrow which came from Clavius, Jackson, and Vicky. He then reacted in shock and fear as Odette began to look concerned as well.
"We came... We came as quickly we could." Chamberlain told Derek while panting.
"I just wish we could've prevented this from happening." Cherry added softly.
"If I had been there for her birthday this wouldn't have happened," Derek pouted at himself, disappointed. "It's my fault."
Odette then put her hand on his shoulder to comfort him.
"I've gotta go after them." Derek then said as he looked back at his wife and the others.
"Yes, yes, of course, you must." Odette nodded to her husband.
"We understand." Thor nodded.
"Yeah." Tyke added.
'Even though Jackson is expecting us to go with him.' Patch thought to himself.
"You might need some company though." Cherry warned.
Derek then looked over at her.
"This Clavius jerk might've taken your mother and potential daughter, but he also got Jackson and Vicky involved and they are probably two of our greatest foes, not including King Sombra with his annoying and repetitive plans." Cherry then explained.
"Alright, but no one else." Derek told them.
"Right." Atticus nodded.
"Fair enough," Cherry then said. "So... About this Clavius guy?"
"Yeah, mind telling us more about him?" Tyke added.
"Let's just say he was more or less 'old friends' with Rothbart." Chamberlain started to tell them nervously.
"Yikes." Mo said.
"Sounds like the two of them didn't like each other, but had evil intentions." Thor replied.
"Oh, you got that right." Chamberlain said.
"We better get going." Atticus suggested.
"Are you children sure?" Chamberlain asked nervously. "It might be dangerous, especially since Alise has already been taken."
"Trust me, we've been through worse." Cherry replied.
"Yeah! Check this out!" Thor added as he opened up Cherry's adventure scrapbook as evidence.
"Ugh! Thor! I just got that book closed!" Cherry complained.
"Then... Off you go," Chamberlain said to them. "Just be very careful... I doubt Clavius will have mercy on you."
"Just try competing me against The Joker or Atticus against Lex Luthor." Cherry whispered with a smirk.
"Well, in that case, I hope you guys are ready to ride some horses." Derek said before they would leave.
"Oh, we so are." Atticus smiled.
"And luckily, I used my magic to bring someone you know here, unfortunately, that's all I can actually do." Thor told Atticus.
"Really? Who?" Atticus asked.
"Oh, just your horse from Moo Mesa." Thor smiled.
"Wait... Really?" Atticus asked before smirking. "You're joking around, right?"
Thor just shook his head with his tongue out.
"...Really?" Atticus asked.
Thor then nodded his head as he beamed.
"...Prove it." Atticus smirked.
"Call for him." Thor smirked back.
"Okay, fine," Atticus shrugged before calling out. "SPECK!"
"Hope it's better than my dad's old horse, Speck," Cherry shrugged at herself. "I don't think he trusted two-leggers well, like Spirit: Stallion of The Cimarron."
They soon heard something fast and strong coming as they saw Speck arriving as he neighed.
"Speck. Hey, buddy." Atticus smiled.
Speck neighed at Atticus.
"It's good to see you again," Atticus said to the horse as he lightly pet his nose. "Have you been a good boy?"
Speck seemed to look away bashfully.
"...Well, at least it's better than when we first met," Atticus said before facing the others. "He won't hurt any of you though."
"I'm sure he won't if you trained him," Cherry smirked. "I was never too crazy about cowboys, but I can tell you did a good job with this little guy."
"Well, he didn't make it easy at first especially when it came giving him a bath." Atticus said.
Speck snickered as he remembered that day.
"So then shall we get going?" Thor asked.
"All right, Speck, let's get you mounted and you can help us on our adventure." Atticus told his horse.
Speck seemed to nod in agreement before he followed Atticus as Derek got his horse ready and mounted.
Derek began to get his horse ready before facing Rogers and Bromley behind him. "I want you two to go to Mother's castle."
"What?! Me?! With Him?!" Rogers complained as he pointed to Bromley nervously.
"The note says I have to come alone," Derek replied as he showed the note from Clavius. "If I don't, he'll attack Mother's kingdom and who knows what might happen to Alise?"
"Don't worry, Derek," Bromley chuckled. "If anything happens, my quiver is full."
"Uh, maybe it would be best if some of us stayed behind for Rogers' sake." Mo said.
"That sounds like a good idea." Tyke nodded.
"Sure does." Cleo said.
"Well, I'm definitely going," Atticus volunteered himself. "Especially since Jackson is involved."
"I don't know much about this Jackson boy you mention, but he seems to be just as if not more evil than Clavius." Chamberlain spoke up.
"He kidnapped me when I was a baby and at one time even drained me of my strength to make it his own." Atticus replied.
"Oh, my..." Chamberlain gulped.
"I'll come along as well." Thor said.
"Who's going to stay with Rogers and Bromley?" Patch asked.
"I'll choose," Cherry spoke up. "Me and Atticus will go while the rest of you stay here."
"That seems a bit sudden." Thor said to her.
"Whatever gets this done faster," Cherry shrugged. "Rather than just dragging our feet around for an hour and a half."
"That's fair." Mo nodded.
"Yeah." Patch added.
"Alright, good luck you two." Tyke said.
"There's no such thing as luck, but thank you for the wish." Cherry told the bulldog pup.
"All right then, let's go." Atticus then said as he got Speck ready to leave.
"Let's get this over with," Cherry replied. "Hopefully the sooner we stop them, the sooner we can go back home and relax before another adventure comes our way."
"That man's taking you to another trap, Derek." Puffin warned.
"Shh!" Derek shushed him before looking over as Odette waited on the steps. "Don't let anything happen to Odette." he then whispered to the puffin before he began to climb up onto his horse.
Puffin then saluted him as he would promise to do that.
Derek then got on his horse before making it leave the castle grounds. "HYAH!" he then called to his horse.
"And away we go." Atticus said as he took off Speck.
"Let's take down some bad guys and an evil teenage girl." Cherry said.
The three of them soon took off on the horses.
"Well, those three are gonna take down Clavius, Jackson, and Vicky." Patch smiled.
"You really think so?" Tyke asked him.
"I don't think so, I know so," Patch replied. "We're all a team and we all work well together and have faced a lot in our many adventures together and I don't just mean my adventures with Tom, Jerry, and Robyn."
Puffin chuckled before looking at Odette. "Derek will find The Queen and the new princess and Atticus and Cherry will stop who they want to stop and we'll all be back to globbity glob before ya know it." he then said to the former swan princess.
"They can't hide from the prince and those guys." Speed added, referring to Clavius, Jackson, and Vicky.
"They're brave, especially Derek." Odette nodded.
"Brave?" Jean-Bob scoffed. "They're all fools!"
"Jean-Bob, that wasn't very nice." Tyke pouted.
"Guess he still has a lot to learn about friendship and about how a prince should act." Thor whispered to his pup.
"Jean-Bob!" Odette frowned at the frog.
"They're just charging into danger!" Jean-Bob defended as he scoffed about Derek and the others who had gone after him. "Derek is a prince, like me! Too important for risking his life and those kids will just get themselves killed."
"Well, in a way, Atticus is a prince too and he will be just fine as will Cherry and Derek." Mo defended confidently.
"Well said, Mo." Patch smiled.
"Then you are fools too." Jean-Bob soon told them.
"Oh, brother." Thor rolled his eyes.
'I have a feeling a song is about to start.' Patch thought to himself.
And like always...
"I feel a moving target, I've been a sitting duck~" Jean-Bob began.
"But you're a frog." Tyke replied out of confusion.
"That's not what he means." Patch told him.
"I've almost been an alligator's food!~" Jean-Bob continued before opening up Puffin's beak as a demonstration. "And all because somebody with more courage and good sense," he then started before puffing himself up to look big and muscular. "I'd rather be rescued in honor, than be consumed!~" he then added before Speed smirked and tripped him. "With commoners, there's not so much to live for, or to jeopardize their lives~"
The others then looked over as Jean-Bob approached a stump with an axe sticking out from it.
"Maybe some should be allowed, but it brings for the higher things, but a prince shouldn't risk his life, like an ordinary member of the crowd~" Jean-Bob then sang as he climbed up on the axe's handle, then slid back down on the ground, then walked off again.
"But Jean-Bob that's what you do for a friend," Odette told Jean-Bob before she started singing suddenly. "Oh, that's what you do for a friend, That's what you do for a friend, my friend, That's what you do for a friend~"
'Eh, might as well join in the song.' Tyke thought to himself.
Cleo opened one eye until she heard a song going on, then closed both of her eyes as she decided to ignore it.
Puffin and Speed then bowed to each other like they were in a ballroom before they danced in the background during Odette's song. Jean-Bob pouted and turned away, crossing his arms in disgust.
"You hang on through the hard times~" Odette smiled as she turned Jean-Bob around.
"Make them laugh when they're feeling low!~" Puffin added as he put on fake glasses and a big nose like Groucho Marx as a demonstration.
"And when danger's near, you say~" Mo began as something scary was coming from the bushes.
"No fear!" Puffin answered to that.
"And you go where you have to go~" Odette then added as Jean-Bob tried to hide behind her as she kept moving as the scary something kept coming from the bushes before she bounced him out from her skirt. "And you never back down~"
"And you never back out!" Puffin added as he pushed Jean-Bob away from him and against the scary something.
"You'll fight, even if you have doubt~" Patch sang as Jean-Bob was covered in mud.
"That's what you do for a friend, Oh, that's what you do for a friend, That's what you do for a friend, my friend, That's what you do for a friend~" Odette sang as she cleaned him with the water from the lake.
The scary thing soon came out of hiding and was shown to just be Speed as he pretended to be a scary bush monster.
"This is ridiculous!" Jean-Bob complained once he was cleaned up, running up to Speed, Puffin, and then ran up Odette's arm, then hopped up against the steps. "Zipping into danger, Dashing into trucks, Rushing into an untimely end, You foolish heroes will end up with your backs up against the wall and in trouble once again!~" he then sang before he fell off and ended up in the bushes before he stepped out before taking the lilies by the water. "Now, some might think it noble to die and be mortal like and think about the past~"
Tyke and Patch began to look concerned as the alligators came through the lake, about to chomp down on Jean-Bob like they did the last time.
"And you might think it wise to have a howling demise~" Jean-Bob then sang before hopping up in the air and grabbed the tree branch, dangling from the alligators below in the lake. "So life's exciting until the last~" he then added before slitting his throat with his finger as he hopped up and sat on the branch.
"But Jean-Bob, That's what you do for a friend, Oh, that's what you do for a friend, That's what you do for a friend, my friend, That's what you do for a friend~" Odette sang to Jean-Bob as the two alligators began to enjoy the singing.
'They sure got good taste.' Patch thought to himself.
The branch Jean-Bob was sitting on before soon broke, causing him to scream as he began to fall. The alligators then grinned hungrily, distracted from the song and now focusing on trying to eat Jean-Bob.
"You even stick your neck out!" Speed said as he stuck his neck out from his shell as Jean-Bob screamed before splashing and landing in the water below.
"No matter how scared you get~" Odette started to sing as Jean-Bob panicked and began to swim away from the hungry alligators who began to chase him in the water.
"You go out on a limb when the chances are slim!" Puffin added before he dove down into the water to help Jean-Bob to be a good friend.
"And you do it with no regrets~" Mo sang as she broke off a different tree branch as she began to help out.
"Help! Help!" Jean Bob panicked as he saw the alligators ready to eat him.
"And you never back out~" Mo Thor Tyke and Patch sang.
"And you never give in~" Speed sang as he got Jean Bob away from the alligators.
"You keep on trying~" Mo and Odette sang.
"Through thick and thin!~" Puffin, Tyke, Patch, and Thor added as Mo put the tree branch out into the water.
"That's what you do for a friend~" Everyone else sang together as Mo dangled the tree branch while Speed rode Jean-Bob on his back while Puffin tossed out Jean-Bob. "Oh, that's what you do for a friend, That's what you do for a friend, my friend, That's what you do for a friend~"
The alligators then began to look confused before Jean-Bob was thrown out of the water and hooked onto Mo's tree branch before he ended up on the ground and Puffin began to press down on the frog's back to get water out of his mouth as everyone joined together.
"Cute, catchy... Didn't work." Jean-Bob scoffed once the song ended.
"Spoilsport." Thor firmly pouted.
"Odette," Daphne spoke as she came to see her cousin. "Dirk has gone out after Derek. There seems to be trouble."
"I know all about it," Odette replied. "A man named Clavius has taken Queen Uberta and Alise."
"Oh, my..." Daphne gasped.
"Yeah and apparently Clavius knew Rothbart." Patch said.
"Rothbart must have known plenty of evil people when he was still alive." Tyke replied.
"Most evil people do," Patch replied. "Even if some people aren't born evil."
"Evil often isn't born, it's made," Mo advised. "Though... I'm not sure about Aunt Sarah. She seems to be difficult no matter what."
"Well, I wouldn't worry about her," Patch said. "She might be strict and crabby, but she's not pure evil."
"Not pure evil to you maybe." Mo rolled her eyes as she thought about the times that Aunt Sarah would try to force her into dresses.
"Well, nothing can compete with Singe the Dragon or Mordroc." Daphne advised them.
"Brutal." Thor commented.
"Well, looks like Clavius, Jackson, and Vicky will have more than they bargained for." Patch said.
"And what does that mean exactly?" Daphne asked.
"That pretty much means we have nothing to worry about and those guys do, especially with people like Atticus and Cherry going after them," Patch replied. "They have a lot of adventure experience."
"Sometimes it feels like it's been going on for years and years." Thor added.
"Let's just hope their experience can compete with the experience that my Dirk has been through just to save me from The Dragon's Lair." Daphne said softly.
"I trust them enough, especially Derek." Odette said to her cousin.
"And knowing Queen Uberta she is not making things easy." Mo said.
