Kaito's pov
Saguru and his girlfriend walked into the room, looks like they came to school together again. I knew what happened the night before, I had little cameras hidden on the feet of a few birds, you think he would have noticed the birds there, but no, he didn't. I admit he's pretty good at dancing.
I couldn't make out what they were talking about, they where speaking in English I believe, they laughed, both of them blushing. When they sat down Hakuba handed her a book, the cover was in English, but I believe it was a collection of Edgar Allan Poe.
"Kaito, do you know what they're saying?" Aoko asked.
I rolled my eyes,"Figure it out for yourself, idiot."
I looked over my shoulder, Isabelle pulled out a few papers from her bag and passed them to Hakuba. He looked over it, nodded and handed it back.
"What is that?" I asked, walking over to their desks.
"Pardon," Hakuba said, looking up.
"What were you guys talking about, what's up with the papers?"
They looked at each other, laughed,"D&D," They said in unison.
"What?"
"D&D, it's short for dungeons and dragons," Hakuba explained.
"Dungeons and dragons is a tabletop fantasy role play game," Isabelle continued.
"Wait are you talking about that stereotypical nerd game with all the dice and wizards?"
"Ah... yes, exactly that actually. I was going to DM a campaign with my mates from Europe, I was thinking something along the lines of a Victorian mystery theme based off of Edgar Allan Poe's short stories,"Hakuba said, geeking out.
"Ha! I knew you were a dork but, ha, what even, it's just paper," I said, looking at the paper,"Since when was charisma a power? What's the difference between Intelligence and wisdom?"
Isabelle rolled her eyes,"Charisma isn't a power, it's a stat. Charisma is how good you are with people. As for the difference between intelligence and wisdom... intelligence would be knowing a tomato is a fruit, wisdom would be knowing not to put a tomato in a fruit salad."
"Yeah whatever nerds," I went back to my seat.
"Understandable, have a nice day," Hakuba said, as I turned around.
'Why does he just take it?'

Edoka High library
Isabelle's pov
Saguru led me to the school's library where we had lunch the days prior. He said the librarian didn't mind as long as we didn't dirty any books, Saguru had started eating lunch in the library because he didn't really enjoy being swamped by teenage girls drenched in hormones. We sat at a table near the back, hidden near a few shelves, so that we'd be hidden from anyone popping their head in.
Saguru pulled out a magazine from his bag along with his notebook. He flipped to a page about an Illusionist, running his finger down dates and cities.
"Is that the guy you told me about?" I asked, peering over his shoulder.
"Hm? Oh... yeah, it's him,"he answered, still focused on the article details.
"Y-you don't think he'll be there do you?"
"That's what I'm trying to figure out. . . It's a possibility. His Europe tour isn't over quite yet, but there's enough time between his last and next show to book a flight. But whether or not he'd do it is the question," Saguru said, shaking his head.
"Well, better safe than sorry. I'd be best if you come up with a plan if he does decide to drop by, but if he doesn't, big woup," I said,"And . . . Saguru, don't be afraid to ask for help. Maybe officially working together as a team wouldn't be so bad, okay?"
He looked up at me,"Yeah I'll let you know. By the way, if you have any questions about Kid, don't expect a very good answer from the keibu-san. When I asked him several questions, he only gave me one answer, he didn't even seem confident in it either."
I raised my brow,"Well knowing you, you probably asked questions about Kid's physical traits. Yes traits can be helpful, but they aren't everything. You may find it more useful to ask about behavior, habits, patterns, what he's proven to know about, his abilities," I said, resting my head on my hand.
He looked at me with a confused expression,"What do you mean?"
"Well say you find out kid has black hair, well good for you 85% of the world's population has black hair, it doesn't say much. Now say you know for a fact that Kid uses the ventilation to enter a building. It doesn't seem like much help does it? You can do more with that information however. If you get a map of the layout of the museum then you can mark of where the ventilation is, you could even take it one step further and mark up the exact field of vision for every security camera, thus finding security blind spots. You could use that diagram to strategically place guards where you will get the most use out of them. That doesn't only apply to Kid though, once you find how something works you can always find a logical way to counteract it," I explained.
Saguru smiled slightly and nodded his head,"Yes that could work, however Kid also disguises himself as other people."
"Well I'd have to see that before I do anything about it," I said, leaning back.
Saguru closed the magazine and opened his notebook to the deciphered note,"What do you suppose H White means?"
"I don't know, if he had said 'I will join you as one of white' it could mean he's not going to disguise himself, but since he capitalized both the H and the W then they must be replacing a proper noun. Perhaps he's talking about a person, but the question is who. Even then we're just guessing," I said, almost feeling ashamed that I didn't have an sat in silence pondering the meaning of the written note until Saguru shook his head and closed the notebook. I heard movement behind one of the bookshelves.
Saguru looked at me with an expression I'd never really seen before, it was something between awkward, curious, perhaps a bit flustered as well,"Princess, I-I was wondering if you wanted to hangout with me tomorrow," he asked politely his expression shifting slightly displaying a bit more fear, as if he was scared of the answer.
Muffled conversing could be heard, if you were quite enough, there were two maybe three of them.
I looked him, smiled," Yeah I'd love to. What did you have in mind? Were you... planning on inviting anyone else?"
"Oh . . . ,"Saguru said a little surprised at the answer," W-well, no I wasn't really planing on inviting anyone else, I was thinking it could just be. . . t-that you and me could go ice skating before the rink closes for the season. Maybe go out to eat and watch a movie at my place later. I-I don't know, whatever you want to do I guess."
More muttering.
I smiled and nodded,"Yeah that sounds nice," I said, getting up.
Saguru looked at me confused. I put a finger to my lip and gestured at the book shelf. I crept around without making a sound, poking my head around the corner of the shelf. Kaito, Aoko, and that other girl with a bad aura were gathered at the other end, they haven't noticed me yet. I pulled back and gestured at Saguru to keep talking, he looked back at me and nodded.
"Y-yeah, a-allright," Saguru said, pretending to have a conversation.
I turned my attention back to the three,"Alright I'm going to take a look," Kaito whispered.
"Are you out of your mind Kuroba-kun?" the other girl muttered.
"Be quiet Akoko," Kaito sneered as he peered around the shelf.
"I don't hear them any more,"Aoko said trying to pull Kaito back.
Kaito turned back,"Who knows maybe they're making out or something," Kaito said.
'That's it no mercy'
"You're weird, Kaito," Aoko said.
"Well there's only one way to find out,"Kaito said with a Cheshire grin.
They all slowly peered around the corner, as they did I crept up behind them,"I wouldn't do that if I were you," I said, as I placed a hand on Kaito's shoulder.
It was quite funny to see each of them flinch and slowly turn around, I snapped a pic with my phone before they had time to react.
"Eavesdropping is rude you know. I know we got off on the wrong foot but this is ridiculous. You didn't even try to get to know me before making judgments. That just goes to show that you are an unemphatic human being, the least you could do is give me the basic respect every human being deserves. I don't expect you to apologize, I don't think your the type to see faults that easily,"I said, looking Kaito in the eye, I turned to the second girl who's name I believe was Akoko,"You resent me, I can tell just by looking at you. You resent me, yet I know not why, we haven't even encountered each other till now. I don't want to be on anyone's bad side, I don't wan't to lecture you, bloody hell, it's not even my job to lecture you. But, "I sighed," why? This is petty, it's stupid," I said.
"Okay mum," Kaito teased, putting extra emphasis on the u.
"I don't find that offensive, besides your acting quite childish," I said, marching off, back to the table.
I waited till all three had left the room.
"Saguru, do you think I'm motherly?"
"Now why on earth would you think that?" He asked in reply.
"I guess I'd be because I kind of lectured Kuroba-kun," I said, a bit crestfallen.
"No, I don't think that's motherly. It just tells me you believe he's capable of better behavior, and you want to help him see that. It's quite admirable really. I've never once seen you blow up when your mad, you always talk through things calmly, and your not afraid to tell someone they're at fault," Saguru said, his ears a bit pink.
