Conan's pov
Rose came back into the room.
"I believe I've figured out the entire messenger of kids note," She announced.
Keibu-san jumped up,"What?! If you know then tell us!"
She sighed and walked over to one of the windows,"It's too late he's already here."
"Impossible, the guards would've noticed," Mouri protested.
"Don't worry he'll incriminate himself, Kid can study people from the outside but he'll never be able to understand what's inside," She said, stroking the window sill.
"What do you mean?" Keibu-san asked.
"Just watch," she said, knocking on the glass once.
As soon as her hand left the glass a picture came to life on it, the soft sound of a piano echoed through the room presumingly coming from the image.
She stepped away as the image came into focus. The image was split in half vertically, on the left side Hakuba-kun stood surrounded by paparazzi. Saguru said something, though he made no actual sound as he appeared on the right side, his expression was sober and saddening, the dismal Saguru looked over to the left side. On the left Hakuba's face seemed to glitch out turning into a crooked smile.
'Give them no reason to stare' the left Saguru said, temptingly, turning to face the other, he reached out across the border of the two sides trying to grab the downcast clone.
'No one can hurt me, If they don't really see me' the wistful Saguru said walking to his right, the scene panned with him. He appeared to be in some kind of dimly lit enclosure, like a cage of glass, or mirror. The reflection followed, the demented smile never leaving his face. 'I'm tired of hiding everything' translucent figures ran around him. There were two children, one chasing the other.
The one being chased had blond hair, the second was older and bigger. The older boy pushed over the smaller one violently pulling his hair and kicking his legs till tears streamed out of his eyes. Saguru pried off the larger boy making him disappear, he took the little blond on his shoulders.
'But I suppose I should just move along. With them is not where I belong.'
Another blond boy, about maybe 7 or 8, appeared on the outside of the enclosure. A group of children about the same age as him, taunted and threw stones at him.
'People don't to except the way I really am' he continued to say as he put the six year old boy down,'It feels as though I'm not the person I once was' he said pulling the 8 year old in before the wicked reflection could grab a hold of him.
'Something inside is different'
'But that doesn't mean it's wrong, this is where you belong,' the vicious outsider sang, gesturing to a group of people around him.
'That doesn't define me,' the now cheerful Saguru sang to his companions, 'You should be able to be yourself, nobody can tell you what you can and cannot be,' he continued glaring at the reflection.
'I may not always understand the actions of other people, but the best I can do is try.'
A door opened and another boy, just like the rest was forcefully shoved in, he was 14, 'I'll never let them define me again,' The new boy banged on the door his screams inaudible. Saguru walked over to him, placing a hand on his shoulder in a comforting way. 'And these people won't accept me for who I truly am, then they're not worth knowing.'
The reflection tapped on the wall, he had changed. He was wearing a school uniform, there was someone behind him, mocking and pointing, he-he looked like me.
The reflection no longer had the devilish grin,'If someone was hurting would you leave them alone?' The clone continued soberly.
The Saguru from the inside, reached through the wall dividing them,'I'd never' he continued grabbing hold of his reflection's hand. The reflection smirked wickedly, grabbing his arm and trying to pull him out of the room.
'If someone I knew was hurt, I'd comfort them. If someone was anxious, I'd give them solace. If someone was mourning, I'd give them support. If someone was dying, I'd stay by their side.' he continued to shout frantically as he was pulled closer. He banged on the wall with his fist shattering the image.
The other boy's faded, he was left alone in a dark room. 'Did I ever make a change? Will I ever make a difference?'
'You made the biggest difference' A small girl's voice continued.
The image vanished leaving everyone in confusion.
"I have so many questions,"Nakamori-san announced on everyone's behalf.
Rose sighed,"Well then, Saguru care to elaborate?" She said glaring at him.
He raised his hands in front of him and took a step backwards,"I-I-"
"Or is there a reason why you can't," She said, taking a step closer,"Yes, that must be it, As Kid stated in the notice, 'I will come as one of H White'. Now Hakuba translated directly into English is..." She said dropping a chess piece on the floor, it was a white knight.
Saguru, or rather kid, scoffed, "White horse," He said, smirking,"Haha, If I'd known, Rose Adler would be here, I would've planned more carefully."
This caused the media members to murmur with one another.
"You know who I am? I'm flattered," She said walking closer.
"Of course I know who you are. We're at opposite ends of the same spectrum," Kid said, throwing off his disguise," It's not every day someone impresses me with their performance."
"Besides the fact that you steal stuff, you seem pretty chill. But ah . . . can you just give the bloody necklace back so I can get my mate's head injury checked out?" She said swinging a pair of handcuffs around her finger.
Keibu-san snapped out of his trance and began ordering his men.
"Perhaps we'll meet again, Rose," He said, tossing her the gem, and vanishing into a puff of smoke just as he was surrounded by the other men.
Rose looked at the stone in her hands and jotted something down in her notebook. She walked over to Mr. Arens and placed it in his hands.
"I'll go get Saguru, to the hospital," She said to the inspector, pulling out her phone to make a call, as if nothing had happened.
