Saguru's pov
I sat with Bella on the sofa in the parlor. She sat there next to me until I pulled her closer in an affectionate embrace. She rested her head upon my chest. I could feel her heartbeat sync with mine as I slowly succumbed to her scent of wild roses.
I positioned myself in a more comfortable position, lying down on my back Bella cradled in my arms, pulling a blanket over us. I stared out the window, looking through the glass at the plant life and heavy rain.
I looked back at princess, she'd fallen asleep. It was comforting to lie there with her, her rhythmic breathing gave me a sort of reassurance.
"I'll never let you go, I'll never let them hurt you,"I cooed brushing the hair out of her face.
The lights flickered off as lightning pierced the sky, we were left in darkness. She flinched grabbing hold of my shirt, a bad dream perhaps.
I gently stroked her arm and kissed her forehead in an attempt to comfort her.
I could feel myself grow tired as the tapping of the rain slowly lulled me st sleep.
I was seven again. I was surrounded people, all vaguely familiar but I couldn't make out their faces. They all pointed and laughed [or at least I think they did, this dream didn't really have sound] at me, I don't know why. One of the kids in the crowd tackled me rubbing sand in my hair violently till my scalp stung and bled. 'Freak' he said though the word was inaudible.
The ground seemed to give way underneath me as I was hurled onto the ground of my middle school courtyard, again boys my age gathered around me throwing rocks and insults. One boy picked me up by the shirt collar and trust me into the wall.
The scene shifted to a dark closet, the door was locked and somehow I knew on the other side there were people sneering at me. This place was different from the other two, the others were my past in Japan, this one was my first year in London.
Ever since I was young the other kids picked on me, in grade school I was the only one with blond hair, middle school I still had selective mutism, in high school [ha] i was a freak. Something bad would always happen, someone would always say I was cursed, so they tried to separate me from the rest. In the end I proved them wrong, they may not have liked me but I made friends in the end.
The scene shifted once more, this time there were no more crowds and insults. This last place had a bright and cheerful tone. I was surrounded by flowers of various blooms. Many shades of red and purple, blue and pink, all seeming to harmonize with each other.
From behind me I could hear a girl laugh with delight. I turned around to face princess. She a white lace sundress with a white Sunday bonnet decorated with pink daisies. In her arms she held a basket full of cut flowers. She laughed and ran off, I chased after her.
We ran through the isles of flowers barefoot. I eventually caught her in my arms and we both collapsed on the ground. The grass tickled our necks as we sat there holding each other close, never wanting to leave.
Wellp bit shorter than the other chapters but I hoped you enjoyed :)
