Saguru's pov

I unlocked the front door to Princess's flat with the spare key she'd given me. I stepped inside, the lights were off she must still be sleeping. I hung my coat up on the hook. I walked over to the kitchen and turned the light on. I placed the bag of groceries on the counter, inside was a carton of eggs, a loaf of bread, a bag of sugar, carton of milk, a box of strawberries, a box of raspberries, two peaches, and a bag of tea. Bella had said she needed to go shopping, besides I still felt guilty about the day before. I wanted to make her breakfast to apologize.

Irene, who was sitting proudly in the corner of the living area, perked her head up and moved her head as though she was looking around (owls don't have very good eyesight instead they rely on hearing) but in actuality was listening. I stopped moving around and listened.

Crying, princess was crying. I stood outside her door. The sobs grew louder. I placed my hand on the nob just to pull it back and knock first.

"Princess, i-it's me Saguru, do you want me to come in?"

"O-of course,"she whimpered, tears filling her words.

Her room was small but tidy. Her bed was tucked in the corner of the room next to a window, next to the bed was a simple night stand with an alarm clock on it.

Princess sat on her bed clutching a porcelain doll. It was the same one I had given her ten years ago. The doll closely resembled her, it had long curly nut brown hair, freckles, and emerald green eyes, the doll wore a powder blue dress trimmed with lace with a matching ribbon in her hair.

I took a hair brush and hair elastic off of the night stand and sat down next to princess. She was still crying.

"Do you want to tell me what's wrong?" I asked.

She wiped away her tears and looked down at the doll,"The sirens, so often they come to me in my sleep, I just wish that memory would stop coming back."

I took her in my arms,"I'll always be here for you, okay? I'll do what I can," I said, brushing through her hair. I ran my fingers through her hair and pulled it back in a single dutch braid,"Come on let's go get something to eat," I said, kissing her forehead.

I got out a bowl and pan from the cupboard. I put the burner on medium-low and mixed the eggs and milk in the bowl getting ready to make french toast.

"Is there anything I can help with?" Princess asked, she still wore her pastel flannel pajamas, her eyes were pink and puffy.

"Yeah if you want you can cut up some of the fruit," I said, putting on the kettle.

She smiled shyly and rinsed off the fruit before cutting it standing off to my right. I checked to see if the pan was hot enough by splashing a few drops of water on it, almost there but not quite. I glanced over at Bella, silently working. I grabbed two plates from the cupboard to her right, which I placed on the counter by the stove.

I looked at Princess and took a step behind her. I rested my head on her shoulder and snaked my arms around her waist," I love you,"I said, kissing her neck.
