Aoko's pov

"I don't think she's coming,"Kaito said.

"What do you mean Idiot, Bella-chan never breaks a promise," I said, smiling.

"What makes you think that?" Kaito asked in a rude tone.

I took a sip of my water and placed it back down on the table,"I don't know what you have against her Kaito, Bella-chan is a really sweet and honest person. She'd never lie to me."

"Yeah bu-" A knock came at the door cutting Kaito off,"I'll get it," He grumbled as he stood up.

I followed him to the door, he took the nob and opened the door.

"Hey Kaito is Aoko ho-" Bella's voice said before Kaito slammed the door in her face.

"Kaito!" I scolded, I pushed past him and opened the door for Isabelle,"I'm sorry Kaito's just being a jerk right now."

Bella let out a polite laugh,"Aoko you don't have to apologize for him," She came in and put on a pair of slippers. She wore a tan Scottish tweed walking skirt and a lace blouse, her hair was tied back with a black ribbon, and in her left hand she carried a violin case.

Kaito stepped out of her way and leaned against the wall.

"Fuck you too Kaito," She said, taking him by surprise.

He got over his brief moment of shock,"You better watch your language little lady."

"You better watch your back,"She retorted.

"Is that a threat?" He asked sarcastically.

"You bet your sorry ass it is," She said, without even looking at him. She walked past him and into the dinning room.

I joined her but Kaito lingered behind.

"So, what's it like having a detective for a boyfriend?" I asked, trying to recover any lost mood.

She looked at me and chuckled,"Frustrating."

"What do you mean by that?"

"Well Saguru often leaves abruptly, most of the time without even saying anything. Not only that but one thing he hates, almost as much as being wrong, is picking up the bloody phone. And then he'll get annoyed when I don't pick up. So if I called him I'd have no idea if he's dying in a ditch or sitting in the grocery store watching the lobsters fight each other."

This made me laugh, the thought of the tall blond sitting in front of a glass case intently watching two lobsters slowly snap their claws at each other.

"So why do you even put up with him if he's so annoying?" Kaito whined as he came in the room.

Bella smiled,"Well I don't really see why anyone puts up with you. What your saying is really quite hypocritical."
