Belladonna 40
Belladonna- silence
Saguru's pov
'How long? How long had she kept that to herself. Why? Why didn't I notice, I should have seen the warning signs, looking back the more I realize how they were there, but why did I just brush them off. This is all my fault if I had known, I never would've left, but if I didn't leave would I ever have told her. Would anything have changed? Would I have done something had I noticed, what would I be able to do?'
I looked around the table, Isabelle and Heiji talked gleefully about little things that reveal a lot about a person's personality. Everyone else was silent, they all seemed to not know what to say.
"So you and Hakuba are good friends I take it," Heiji said, catching my attention.
Princess smiled,"Well actually we're dating."
Heiji laughed at himself,"Well congrats, wait that's what normal people say right?"
I thought about it,"I have no idea, I think that's what your supposed to say."
We shrugged it off and continued talking about other things.
It didn't take very long for us finish eating, so we eventually loaded up in the car and headed off.
Princess sat next to me near the back, she patiently worked on her needlepoint, embroidering pink sakura blossoms on a snow white shawl. As she worked she hummed a little song, sweet and melodious. I gazed out the window the city lights that once were bright were now a soft, glowing, haze in the distance. The street lights gradually replaced themselves with trees of varying kinds, the sidewalks with underbrush, and the concrete buildings with hills mountains and streams.
How is one to describe the tranquility of watching your surroundings slowly dissipate and become the soothing gifts of nature itself? How is one to describe the silence between persons, the silence that feels wonderful, the silence that replenishes the soul?
"Down this road I wish not go alone, walk with me love hand in hand, leave your troubles may they not be shown, walk with me this feeling grand, stay with me you'll never walk on your own, can't you see my love has grown?" I said aloud.
Everyone looked at me,"What was that?" Kuroba asked, he didn't sound annoyed or annoying like he normally was, he just sounded tired.
"I don't know," I said with a dream like sigh,"Sometimes it feels that's the only way to express things, I suppose it it does seem rather strange."
"No not at all," Princess said.
