MEANWHILE, BACK IN NEW YORK...
Kenshin looked a bit impatient as he stood with Splinter.
"Kenshin, no!" Splinter warned.
"We wait 400 years, and this Casey is still late," Kenshin complained. "I will wait no longer."
"Kenshin, you cannot go without the others," Splinter advised. "It would be cowardly."
Kenshin just stormed off as he held The Time Scepter.
THEN WITH CASEY IN A LOCAL SPOT...
"Come on. Both of you. Yeah. Come on. Gotta get back," Casey said as he rounded up the guys who took the turtles' place as they were having fun, playing an arcade game together. "Time to go. Come on, you party animals. I know. Yeah. Okay. Come on. Get it together. I just wanted to give you guys a nice peek at the future, all right?" he then informed. "Bet you guys feel lucky to be going back, right? Very lucky."
"We're going back," One said before jeering with the others. "Not!"
The guys laughed and high-fived each other, much to Casey's frustration.
"This could really screw up history." Casey groaned a bit.
BACK IN JAPAN...
"All right. Okay. Enough is enough," April said as she grabbed Mikey and brought him back over to his brothers. "Let's go. Come on. Guys, you cannot split up."
"She's right," Mo added. "You're brothers, remember?"
Atticus grunted as he tried to get the black cuff off of him, though he still struggled.
"Sorry, it's not that easy," Rumplestiltskin smirked before he removed the cuff easily. "Whoever puts it on you, has the power to remove it, and it blocks magic. I just wanted to teach you a lesson, especially when you make deals with me~"
"Well, thanks for removing it," Atticus replied. "I'm surprised at how hard it was to get off."
"Aye..." Rumplestiltskin nodded. "And I will be waiting for you to promise to do something in exchange for our deal... Remember, Cherry Butler?~"
"Huh? Oh, yeah, sure..." Cherry replied innocently. "I'm totally gonna do that."
Just then, Mitsu came over with Yoshi.
"Raphael-san!" The young boy called out.
"Hey, it's Yoshi!" Raph exclaimed.
"He wanted to say goodbye," Mitsu informed him.
"Well... We're not going!" Mikey smiled. "Raph and I are stayin'!"
"No..." said Mitsu. "Kenshin must return. You promised."
Mikey's smile died, and he looked genuinely sad. "W-Well... Yeah, but-" he began.
"Our two families must be united," replied Mitsu. "Or the war will start again."
"But I thought..." Mikey said, his tone quiet and solemn. "...I wanna stay here... With you."
Mitsu gave a smile. "You will always be here with me, Michelangelo." she told him.
Mikey looked down, and shook his head; the old turtle luck really was running true to form. Atticus noticed that and decided to ask a certain warlock a certain question for when he and the others would get back home.
"Uh-oh, guys! It's picking up speed, come on!" Donny called out as the wind blew at a rapid pace.
"Come on, Mulan," Cherry told the warrior woman. "You're coming with us."
Mulan smiled as she came over to join the group in going back home to the 21st century. The same thing was happening back in New York City as Kenshin held the Time Scepter tight and luckily, Casey was coming right back with who needed to go back to Japan.
"I've been thinking. We have to go back," Leo soon said as the group slowly formed back together. "It's our destiny. I mean, if we stay here, we interfere with their lives, and that would be selfish."
"Exactly!" April and the group urged.
"Our lives are in New York," Leo added before smiling at his brothers, even if Mikey was still having a hard time accepting that he had to leave Mitsu. "Right, guys?"
The others agreed.
"Plus I need to get back to the future," Cherry said. "It's where my adventures and life are."
"Hey, Yoshi man." Raph said, coming to say goodbye to the boy one last time.
"Raphael-san." Yoshi said before they shared a goodbye hug, almost like a big brother and a little brother would share.
"Yo, Yoshi."
"I will never forget you, Raphael-san."
"I won't forget you, either, little man," Raph said before smirking a bit. "And remember, watch that temper."
Yoshi beamed before he shared a high-five with the red-masked turtle.
"Hey, all right!" Raph laughed as they did that.
"Come on, guys," Cherry urged. "Let's do the Time Warp again."
"Couldn't have said it better myself!" Renet declared as the Time Scepter was warming up.
"C'mon, Mikey!" April called out.
The orange-banded turtle looked over to Mitsu. "If you ever get to New York..." he began.
"Later, Mike!" Raph called.
Mikey just shrugged. "...Destiny: whatta drag!" he exclaimed, as the Time Scepter began to surge with electro-chronologic energy.
The others rushed Mikey to come back over and he soon made it in time. Eventually, the energy and electricity crackled and soon, everyone was right back in New York City, including Mulan.
"Guys, we made it back to the den." Leo said to the others as some mannequins began to fall next to them, though something seemed to be missing.
"Does anyone else feel like something might be missing?" Patch spoke up.
Everyone looked around and soon noticed that they were missing one turtle and a certain someone was shown in his place. Kenshin screamed once he saw them and soon ran with The Time Scepter, climbing up the ladder.
"Get that guy!" Raph called out. "He's got the scepter!"
"No!" Mulan called out. "Get him! Grab him!"
Kenshin soon climbed up the ladder and suddenly disappeared with some electricity zapping around and eventually, climbing down the ladder, came back Mikey as he held the scepter and was now back home just like everybody else.
"Oh, yay! He made it back!" Mo cheered with the others.
"We thought we lost you forever, Mikey." Leo said to his brother.
"Thought you were a goner!" Raph added.
"I'm glad you're okay." April smiled.
"Hi, guys." Mikey smiled back at the others.
"Michaelangelo." Splinter smiled in relief.
"Great. We're all here," Atticus said. "Then that means Kenshin is now finally back home."
It was true; in the past, Kenshin had returned to his beloved Mitsu and his best friend and honorary brother, Kintarō. And as they shared a passionate kiss, the daimyo's honor guard had returned to the past as well... With a newfound love of hockey!
"Kintarō!" Kenshin smiled as he ran over to his friend.
"Kenshin!" Kintarō smiled back before hugging him and they tackled each other, laughing together.
Mitsu and the others began to look very happy for the two as they have happily reunited thanks to their new friends.
Casey came over to April. "'April showers bring May flowers'! How are you doing?" he exclaimed.
April looked at him and blinked. He did look like Whit, but without a beard. He was almost as obnoxious as Whit too. "Oh, brother," she then rolled her eyes slightly. "I get back from a very poor excuse for a vacation, and that's all you can say?"
"Hey, it's a poem!" Casey defended.
"I thought it was a weather report," April smirked. "Anyway, I like you better without the beard."
"Beard?" asked Casey.
"It's a long story." said April. Someday she'd tell him, too. Maybe.
It only took the brothers a few seconds to be glad they were home. Donnie ran over to his computer and turned it on; the busy hum of microchips was music to his ears. Leo flipped through his book on swords. In an instant, he was happy to be where he was.
Raph found the hat that April had brought him before their adventure began and looked at it. "New York," he said sourly. Then he put the hat on his head and looked at himself in the mirror. "...I love it!"
Mikey gazed up at the ceiling, a forlorn expression; he definitely wasn't glad to be home, that was for sure.
"Michelangelo?" asked Splinter.
Mikey sniffled a bit. "...Yes, Master Splinter?" he asked.
"Something deeply troubles you, my son." Splinter observed.
"...Growing up," Mikey scoffed, but it lacked the bite; tears came to his eyes. "...I don't think I'll ever laugh again."
"I guess even those who spend time making us laugh have to cry." Lionel said.
"He's only human... Though a reptile," Cherry shrugged before nodding. "...That still makes sense, right?"
"Sure, Cherry... Sure." Mo remarked as she patted Cherry on the head.
"Yo, dude!" Splinter soon called, trying to cheer up Mikey as he wore a lampshade on his head before laughing.
"Yo, dude!" Mikey laughed as that made him smile and look excited.
"Just like Elvis in 'Blue Hawaii'," Splinter smiled warmly. "I saw it on cable."
Mikey laughed as that seemed to do the trick so far while everyone looked happy as things were wrapping up nicely for them in the end.
"Hey, Mikey!" Raph's voice called out.
Mikey soon came out and looked around as his brothers seemed to disappear before they came out in a dancing line together and they all laughed, cheering each other up a bit while April and Casey smiled warmly at the bond between the four.
"So, Mulan, you wanna come back with us in Storybrooke or would you like to stay in New York City?" Atticus asked the warrior woman.
"I will have to think about it," Mulan replied. "But I hope that we can all be friends."
"Of course you can be friends with us!" Atticus smiled. "Anyone else wanna order some pizza before we go back on vacation tomorrow?" he then suggested to the others.
"Sure, man... I think we could use that after how crazy today's been." Lionel nodded.
The others heavily agreed as they relaxed a bit more with the turtles before they would head back to their vacation destination at least by tomorrow morning after they finished another misadventure with their special friends.
Eventually, after the pizza was ordered, the delivery was set out, they waited for their pizza either by trading stories, telling jokes, or dancing along with their new friends. A knock came at the door then and everyone looked over.
"I'll get it." Mulan said as she decided to get the door and there was an average-looking, yet vaguely familiar somehow man who carried a few pizza boxes in his arms.
"Pizza delivery!" The man called before looking over. "Oh. Thanks. You guys seem to be having a party."
"Yeah, we sure are," Mulan nodded with a smile as she paid the delivery man. "Just celebrating a good time."
"Oh... That sounds neat... Wish I could join ya..." The man said as he was on his way back. "I guess I better go then."
"Well... If you wanted to stay, I guess we wouldn't mind." Mulan replied.
"Heh... Surely you could do better than hanging around an old delivery guy like me," The man shrugged bashfully. "I mean... This seems private."
"You seem nice enough," Mulan replied. "Why don't you come along? Maybe relax a little bit. You look a little bored."
"...I am actually," The delivery man had to admit. "I guess I could pop in for a little while."
"Come along then," Mulan smiled. "Just don't overreact if you see anything unusual."
"...I'll try not to." The delivery man said as he walked inside.
Mulan nodded as he shut the door and led him over to where everyone else was. "My name is Mulan." she then said to him.
"Like the Disney movie?" The delivery man asked.
Mulan glanced at him, seeming confused from that reference.
"...Never mind," The delivery man shrugged. "My name's Neal. Neal Cassidy."
"Well, nice to meet you, Neal." Mulan said.
"Nice to meet you too, Mulan." Neal nodded.
Everyone soon looked over as Mulan came back.
"Pizza!" Mulan called out as she separated the three pizza boxes for them all to share.
"All right!" The others cheered as they rushed over to get some.
"Looks like quite a party around here." Neal chuckled as he looked around.
"Yeah, it sure is," Lionel shrugged. "Join in if you want. Our little escapade is just winding down."
"Hmm... All right," Neal smiled as he came over to sit down and get comfortable. "Say... Don't I know you guys?" he then asked the group. "You kinda seem familiar."
"Oh, you probably saw us before we left the last time we came to New York," Cherry replied. "We just had to, uh, help our friends out around here and then we're going on vacation after this."
"Vacation sounds nice," Neal nodded before he took one of the pepperoni slices. "I'll probably try to get one later. May I?" he then asked.
The others nodded and allowed him to help himself.
"This is nice too," Neal smiled before he nibbled on his pizza. "I never really had time for friends."
"Well, that's no way to live, now is it?" asked Atticus as he ate. "Everyone should at least try to make time for friends."
"Spoken like a true 80's cartoon with a moral at the end, kid." Neal remarked.
The others laughed a bit as Atticus glanced at them sheepishly.
"Well, Neal, I can't speak for everyone, but I think we could become friends," Mulan suggested. "You seem, uh, cool enough, as the kids would say."
"Sounds good to me," Neal said as he enjoyed his pepperoni slice. "I can tell that this will be the start of a new personal adventure."
"Yeah!" The others beamed as that sounded like a good idea.
"Maybe if we come to New York, we'll come lookin' for ya." Cherry suggested.
"That sounds good to me." Neal agreed.
"Maybe you could come to Storybrooke on vacation with us too?" Mo then suggested.
"Oh... I don't know if I have time to go back there," Neal shrugged. "Maybe another time."
"Aw, sure y'do!" Lionel urged, giving a magical wiggle of his nose. "In fact... I think you should at least have plenty of time!"
"You think so?" Neal blinked.
"I guarantee it." Lionel nodded.
"I guess we'll see," Neal replied as he continued to eat up with them. "I guess no one will miss me over here."
MEANWHILE, THAT NIGHT IN STORYBROOKE...
Mr. Gold was shown to be in his shop, flipping the open sign to closed before he approached a globe that was on his desk and took out a sample that had blood in it. He then took the sample before squeezing it onto his globe as the images of the continents seemed to change suddenly before showing the state of New York that highlighted, showing him where a certain someone was who he was looking for for a very long time. "...Bae." he then whispered to himself, suddenly feeling inspired before he picked up a special shawl made out of wool and soon held it close to his heart as he felt emotional.
BACK IN NEW YORK CITY...
Everyone continued to have fun and a good time until they decided to leave for the night.
"Thanks for having us, guys," Atticus said to the turtles. "We'll have to do it again sometime."
"Come back to New York again soon." Leo told the group.
"Oh, I have a strange feeling that we'll be back sooner than you think." Cherry replied.
And so, the turtles and the adventure team split up after another shared adventure together and they began to get ready to go back to Storybrooke to finish their vacation.
"All right, I think we're all packed up and ready to head back," Patch said. "Maybe I can spend some time with Dr. Hopper's dog if he isn't busy. We come from the same family after all."
"Sure, sure," Lionel nodded. "But I guess we'll see for ourselves. Maybe we'll get a few mini-stories about our time in Storybrooke, so it doesn't take away from the main story next time."
"Is Lionel being meta again?" Atticus asked.
"Yeah, you could say that," Cherry replied. "Let's get going."
"Okay, I think that's everything," Mo said as she walked over. "Let's get back over that town line."
Everyone then gathered together and began to ride back over to Storyrbooke yet again, but soon, there would be an epic conclusion.
"Maybe we could spend a little time with Henry too," Atticus said. "He seems like he could use a few friends."
The others agreed, though a creepy man watched them leave the city and heard them talking about Storybrooke as he narrowed his eyes, looking like he had something planned, but that would be revealed later of course.
Meanwhile, a young, vengeful woman was shown, looking very angered and provoked over recent events that took a deep toll on her. She looked as though she was ready to plot fiendish plans against great enemies.
"Good evening," A dark-haired man greeted. "I can tell that you need something to blow off some steam that's haunted you for a while."
"What's it to you?" The woman scoffed as she nearly pinned him up against the wall.
"What if I told you that I could make something happen in an instant just by writing it down?" The man smirked as he showed his magic pen and had a book of blank pages with him. "I want revenge too and want my story to be told."
"Hmph..." The woman scoffed.
"Don't you believe in magic?" The man asked before he showed his magic pen. "I am an author after all."
"Let's see how your pen does against my sword." The woman huffed before slashing out a sword, ready to strike him down.
"'And then, the power of the sword wore thin, for it was suddenly made out of wood and wasn't a cold, iron blade'." The man said to himself as he wrote in his notebook as the pages glowed a bit as he wrote that down.
Then suddenly, the sword suddenly became wood, much to the woman's surprise.
"Well, well... Looks like the pen is mightier than the sword," The man smirked. "And I can help you find a happy ending in the storybook of life, only if you help me too whenever I need it."
"...Who are you?" The woman demanded.
"My name is Isaac," The man informed. "Isaac Heller, and I have a story to write. And I believe I know your name... Karai."
The woman looked wide-eyed. "...That's right. So, what do you want out of this deal if we go for it?" she then asked.
"All that matters to me right now is your happy ending so we can both be happy," Isaac smirked darkly. "We can work together and I think I might have a plan on how to do it."
But of course, that would be revealed in Part 3 of The Storybrooke Turtles Saga as Mulan adjusted to the town while the group came back and met some of the people they knew down in Storybrooke, especially Leroy who looked a bit happy to see them back.
