A/N: Well, there was gonna be more Deenry in this chapter, but I got too tired. The following adventure for Dee Dee and Henry will be in the next chapter and we'll probably find out more about The Summer School Games. Remember to Read & Review and most of this chapter was inspired by the short Audrey's Royal Return, so I'll see you in the next chapter! Buh-Bye!
"I'm engaged, boys." Robin beamed as he hugged Roland and Henry out of excitement.
"Ooh, it's the future Mrs. Robin Bedford~" Mal smirked as Regina came over to the girls as they got settled back home.
"Yes, indeed." Regina nodded with a small, bashful smile from Mal's smirk.
"It was just hard keeping this news to ourselves for a while." Evie commented.
"What?" Regina asked, a bit surprised. "Did you girls know?"
"Ooh... We might've known a thing or two," Evie smiled bashfully at her mother. "I do have one request though."
"No, you can't be bridesmaids, you're a bit too young for that," Regina smirked playfully. "No matter how much you might really like Harry or Doug."
Mal chuckled. "I don't think I'll ever get married, but that's not what Evie meant." she then covered up.
"Oh? Then what is it, my little princess?" Regina then asked.
"Well, first of all, you're going to rock that wedding when the time comes, Mom," Evie smiled before she took out her fashion sketchbook. "But I was just wondering... Could I probably design your wedding dress?"
"You think you'd like to design the dress?" Regina asked, surprised at the question.
"Well... Yeah," Evie smiled. "If you don't mind of course, Mom. I mean... I'm a top helper and designer at EMode Designs after all since she sees me as her little prodigy and whatnot."
"Well... Okay, Evie," Regina said with a small smile back. "We could probably work something out."
"Great!" Evie beamed. "So I've only done about 1,000 sketches that I planned just for you and of course we'll have to plan an engagement party~"
"Well, it's a really good thing I said yes." Regina chuckled a bit.
Mal, Evie, and Regina all laughed and smiled as they decided to share a group hug together.
"Congrats, Dad." Roland beamed at his father.
"Thanks, son." Robin smiled warmly.
"Can I call you 'Dad' too?" Henry asked.
"Sure, if you would like, but take your time." Robin smiled warmly to him too.
"Oh, Daddy~" Robyn Jr beamed as she joined in as she hugged her father.
"Oh, Sparrow." Robin smiled warmly before he hugged his daughter back.
"We get a mother again." Robyn Jr smiled at Regina.
"And my children get a father." Regina smiled back.
Mal smiled as she was apart of the family now, though she looked a bit distant at the mention of "fathers", but tried not to let it bother her as this was meant to be a very happy occasion. "I'm so happy for all of you." she then gave her blessing to the future upcoming Bedford-Mills family, deciding to be sociable and polite.
"Thank you so much, Mal." Regina and Robin replied.
"I think she liked the ring." Mal then winked at Robin.
"Oh, I'm sure did, Mal," Robin nodded before smiling warmly at her. "I'll be sure to make time too for The Summer School Games before the wedding."
"I'm looking forward to it, especially in Archery." Mal replied.
"I'll give you some tips too," Robyn Jr told Mal. "I'm quite great with an arrow myself."
"Yes," Robin nodded in agreement. "Junior really takes after her old man."
Robyn Jr smiled bashfully.
"Well, we had a very exhausting day, what with celebrating the last day of school, the barbecue, and now a marriage proposal so I think we should all get some rest so we can fully enjoy our summer vacation," Regina suggested. "Maybe we'll also make a few calls to Aunt Zelena since the trip to Emerald Acres will be coming soon."
Henry and Evie gasped, looking very hopeful and excited. Nothing could possibly ruin this for them, especially since it was almost time for the annual Summer School Games, the last day of school, and now summer vacation awaited them. However, not all is well around Auradon Heights as Audrey sat in her room with Peter there, smirking at her as he sat on her bed.
"So tell me about yourself, Pinky," Peter said to the girl he was going to help out. "What's on your mind?"
"Oh, gosh... Where do I even begin?" Audrey asked. "I don't think I can possibly tell you everything."
"Well... Okay," Peter shrugged as he was about to get up off of her bed. "Then we can just go on and-"
"It's been a bit of a tough year... More than a bit," Audrey soon said as she sharply sighed. "Okay, it's been the worst year of my life."
Peter rolled his eyes before he sat back down and crossed his arms, going to sit through this story as best as he could.
"I was Ben French's girlfriend on the fast track of being his Dance Queen and maybe even his future wife," Audrey smiled dreamily as she thought about how good her life used to be. "My life was set. Everything my family ever wanted for me. Still dreamy~" she then sighed once she thought about Ben before looking irritated very quickly. "Until a little thing called Mal dropped in and ruined everything."
Peter just sat there in silence, scratching his head with a small smirk.
"I tried to warn Ben about befriending that new girl. I tried to warn everybody! But nobody listened to me," Audrey continued tragically. "They even cheered when Ben told Mal he loved her in front of the entire school. PS: We broke up last year."
"Gee... I wonder why?" Peter muttered slightly.
"But I told myself, 'Audrey, if that's what Ben wants, then you don't really wanna be with him'," Audrey then continued. "So I started dating Chad Princely: heir to The Princely Fortune. I have to stick with royalty. Makes communication so much easier. Grammy saw through Mal too... And of course we were totally right. Turns out Mal decided to break up with Ben in front of the whole school the whole time after stealing him from me."
"But you guys weren't dating anymore," Peter spoke up. "How is Ben still yours if you guys broke up by the time Mal showed interest in him?"
"Please, Peter," Audrey scoffed and rolled her eyes. "Everybody knows you don't go out with the most popular girl in school's boyfriend. It simply isn't done."
"...Because?" Peter then prompted, expecting a decent explanation for that statement.
"Because... Because my sisters say so, okay?" Audrey replied firmly with a scoff. "Ugh!"
"If you say so, Pinky." Peter rolled his eyes a bit.
"Mal just brought a lot of evil and let it out into the school," Audrey then continued. "It would destroy Auradon Heights. And you wanna know the worst part?"
"Girls talk too much?" Peter replied.
"Yes! Girls talk too-" Audrey agreed before she narrowed her eyes and realized what he just said. "Oh..." she then suddenly grew silent.
"Well, get on with it, girl!" Peter urged her even if he just pretty much insulted her. "There's nothing I love more than a story that leads into the most ultimate revenge~" he then said with a demonized smirk on his face.
Audrey looked wide-eyed and nervous from his smirk before she blushed and chuckled sheepishly. "Erm... Right..." she then said with a nod. "Well, the worst part was seeing Mal come to school with Ben for the End of the Semester banquet along with his parents and sister. Instead of me. By the way, I wouldn't have broken up with Ben in front of the whole school and embarrassed him to death. Just sayin'."
"I guess he needs some aloe vera for that burn." Peter remarked.
"Has she no shame?" Audrey continued with a scoff. "Obviously I needed a break from all that drama... So my aunts whisked me away for a little R&R. I'm glad I stayed away because that's when things got really crazy. Mal could not handle the pressures of being Queen of the School after dating Ben and it's my fault. I make being adored by everyone look so easy, but of course she fell back into badness again and lied again and when she got called out on it, she tried to totally ditch everybody and run away back to where she came from. So much for commitment. Ben tried to woo and win Mal back. Didn't go so well. Mal dumped him again because she decided she'd rather be with that smelly and annoying Harry Jones who used to hang around Uma McClain: the toughest and scariest girl of the school and probably the only girl who hates Mal more than I do," she then said as she rolled her eyes in minor annoyance. "Oh, Mal's worst enemy might be herself. She got bangs... Though I guess that's what happens when your stylist is a bratty dork kid." she then laughed a bit haughtily.
"Hmm... I guess you do have a lot of fire in you..." Peter remarked with a dark smirk. "I quite like fire~"
"Yeah... After all of this, no way I was going to the dance with Mal probably being seen as the bell of the ball after everyone decided they love her more than me after she ended up in my school," Audrey huffed as she crossed her arms. "By the time I got there, I heard it was awful. Jane botched the decorations, natch, and Uma even showed up, looking prettier than me somehow as Ben's new lady. Uma's interest in Ben was no match for Mal. What is with Ben's thing for bad girls? Ugh!"
"I guess that's why he decided to date you in the first place." Peter smirked darkly.
"Anyways... Uma attacked Mal and tried to drown her because apparently she doesn't know how to swim and was working with some girl named Maddy who Mal used to go to school with and Mal decided to fight her back," Audrey then continued after rolling her eyes in annoyance. "It was a miracle no one was hurt. Uma got away, and of course, Mal turned up smelling like a rose and Ben just automatically decided to forgive her and she got to have her own happy ending. How am I the only one who sees how dangerous that girl is?"
"You have some tough life, Pinky." Peter commented as he laid back, trying to be patient until she would be done talking so that they could get on with what he wanted to do with her.
"No matter how much trouble Mal causes, Ben loves her and everyone thinks she saved the day, but I can't hide away in summer school forever," Audrey continued as she was almost winding down her story. "I'll miss Storybrooke, Auradon Heights, and I know they miss me. I think it's time to make my royal entrance." she then faced him with a smirk.
"Ben's gonna be sorry he ever let you go," Peter smirked back. "You'll be my Queen of Mean even if no one else will see it, but they will... Especially during The Summer School Games."
"So what exactly are we going to do, Peter?" Audrey asked.
"First things first, let's get you to Emerald Acres." Peter replied.
"...Right now?" Audrey asked. "But... I have to go to summer school."
"Who cares?" Peter smirked. "Give up this life of beauty and luxury. These people deserted you. You're just a lost and lonely girl... You're a Lost Girl... My lost girl..." he then told her as he looked her in the eyes.
"Oh... Uh... Okay..." Audrey said bashfully and smiled nervously. "If you say so, Peter~"
"Of course I do say so... And because of that, everyone thinks I'm wonderful," Peter grinned boastfully. "So, step 1 is getting you to Emerald Acres and I'll help lead you along more and then we will both get the revenge we deserve. No one will stop us until the world will be ours... This is all Mal's fault after all~"
"You're right... It is all her fault..." Audrey nodded as she smirked in excitement. "I'm so excited to get started."
"So am I, Audrey, so it's time to run away and start over," Peter nodded at her. "Don't let your Grammy, Mr. Hyde, Mal, Ben, or anyone else who doesn't matter anymore get you down when you've got me."
"Yeah!" Audrey grinned before they both soon laughed together, sounding rather evil and wicked as a new partnership was born.
The next day soon came in Auradon Heights as it was time to pack up and get ready for the trip that would be here very soon. However, there were other plans for the day as Evie was telling Mal all about her cool Aunt Zelena and how excited she was to see her again after so long since her aunt was rather mysterious and was usually elusive, but seeing her was always a treat. Especially with the gifts she sent over for her and Henry.
"So you think your aunt will accept me in your family?" Mal asked Evie curiously. "I mean... I don't wanna intrude or anything."
"Oh, Mal, you couldn't possibly be intruding," Evie smiled in reassurance. "It's going to be a great visit. I promise!"
Mal smiled back a little bit before grunting as she ran into Henry. "Oh, I'm sorry," she then said to the boy. "I didn't see you there, kiddo."
"It's okay. It's okay." Henry said, sounding a bit frantic as he walked off, looking nervous about something.
Mal and Evie glanced at Henry as he seemed to be rushing around, trying to make everything look perfect.
"Uh... Henry?" Evie spoke up, startling her brother a little by accident. "What's going on?"
"Oh, uh, I'm gonna wait outside for Dee Dee," Henry replied bashfully. "She's coming over for a playdate."
"Ohh~..." Mal and Evie then realized as Henry decided to keep going and went to go out the front door as he looked very distracted right now.
"Henry really likes hanging out with Dee Dee." Evie noted with a small smile.
"Sure does!" Mal smirked. "So... You wanna keep packing and getting our stuff together?"
"Yeah, okay." Evie nodded as she went to go upstairs with Mal.
Henry was pacing around bashfully and stared down at the ground as he stood in front of the door of the mansion. He took some deep breaths in and out as he tried to keep calm and cool. "She should've been here by now..." he said to himself. "I-I don't see her coming over..." he then looked over at his mother's apple tree and soon tried to climb up the tree before he wobbled a bit and looked around for his friend. "Where is Dee Dee?"
Soon, Dee Dee was shown to be walking up to the path leading up to the Mills mansion after a truck dropped her off.
"Dee Dee!" Henry smiled once he saw his friend.
"Here I am!" Dee Dee smiled back innocently.
Henry gasped as the tree seemed to shake underneath him as he tried to grab one of the branches before he slid and fell, though luckily, he wasn't too high up, so it didn't hurt him horribly, though some apples fell with him.
"Hello, Henry." Dee Dee smiled once she saw her friend.
"Hi, Dee Dee!" Henry smiled back once he stood up and held out an apple. "Welcome back... Apple?" he then offered.
"Thanks, Henry. I'm so excited to be here... Oh, thank you," Dee Dee smiled as she accepted the apple and bit into it. "My mama says that an apple a day keeps the doctor away. You wanna play together while I'm here?" she then offered.
"Sure!" Henry smiled back. "By the way, I'm going to the library tomorrow. Wanna come?"
"Yeah! I'll meet you there," Dee Dee said as she continued to bite into the apple on the way to the mansion. "Let's hang out like the teenagers do."
"Yeah! Okay." Henry nodded at her.
