A/N: Gildana is not my character, she belongs to my friend AnnaleaseTurner who kindly let me borrow her. Btw, if some of the dialogue near the end seems familiar, I'm sorry, but you can sue me later, I thought it'd be nice for this update xD The final chapter is after this and that will be it until we get to The Modern Fairy Tale Town that I promised you guys for next month.
Audrey laughed wickedly as the flames spread.
"Audrey!" Tilly cried out and rushed right over to her ex-best friend. "What have you done?!"
"My new friend Peter gave me a helping hand," Audrey smirked. "The world will know my name now and you will all pay for abandoning me in the favor of Mal!"
"Is that what all of this is about?" Tilly asked before glaring. "Audrey, this is taking things way too far! Especially meddling in the lives of other people who didn't mean to ruin your life or even intend to. This is dangerous!"
"I WANT to be dangerous!" Audrey retorted as she got up in Tilly's face with a manic smirk on her face. "You're a bit of a rebel too, Tilly... You could always join me and Peter."
Tilly looked shocked and horrified before she slowly shook her head and backed away slowly from her ex-best friend.
"Especially with those pranks you pull on Mrs. Belfrey," Audrey then smirked wickedly as her left eye twitched slightly. "Who could ever ask for more, especially someone like you?"
"...I'm not bad though," Tilly said as she continued to back away from Audrey. "This is very beyond bad. This is just insane and crazy... Even for me."
"You can owe it all to everyone... My pep squad turned on me in favor of Evie... Everybody wanted Mal in the place of me..." Audrey listed with a manic grin on her face as she approached Tilly. "Pain and suffering will fill all across the land. We've both opened Pandora's Box now and I will spread the rightful chaos that is deserved on all of you since you all changed."
"No, Audrey... Nobody's changed... You have changed..." Tilly shook her head. "This isn't the Audrey Thornley I know and love."
"The Audrey Thornley you know and love is gone!" Audrey retorted fiendishly. "I'm Peter Banning's girl now and he actually loves and cares about me, unlike all of you who just ditched me."
"No..." Tilly frowned, looking furious and sad at the same time at how Audrey was acting.
"You played your part well, Tilly," Audrey then smirked. "Besides... Isn't mayhem, desolation, and gloom the coolest? That's what Mal likes, so why can't I do the same if everybody likes her for it?"
Tilly just stayed silent that time as she looked around, nervous as the flames were quickly spreading.
"Isn't this great, Tilly?" Audrey continued with a grin.
"Audrey... You were my friend..." Tilly spoke lowly and sounding a bit hurt in her tone of voice. "I trusted you... And you... You used me."
"I did what I had to do, Tilly," Audrey retorted. "Ever since Mal came into our town, I was forced to be lower on the social food chain of the hallways. Forbidden to be in The Summer School Games just because of a little blunder and not doing my schoolwork."
"I think you know for a fact that that summer school punishment wasn't Mal's fault." Tilly retorted with a small scoff.
"She did it and you know it!" Audrey glared before she continued. "I had to grow up and move away from our silly dolls and tea parties together, my big sisters said so, especially when it was time for me to wear a bra for the first time. I was very popular and successful and you could've joined me, but you didn't... And then humanity looked down on me once Mal showed up and stole Ben's attention away from me and soon everyone else's including yours and I had to plan my revenge and that was when I met Peter and he promised one day I would be vindicated and get the attention and what I deserve," she then said with a wicked smile. "Finally... Thanks to Mal. That day is now~"
"Audrey, this time you have definitely gone off the deep end," Tilly glared through the flames. "I hope you go down with these flames." she then said before running off.
Audrey glared back and rolled her eyes before she then went to climb up the bleachers after Peter. She grunted as she stumbled a little as Peter opened up the window and seemed to have a plan on escaping through there despite it being very high up, especially outside. "Peter! Wait for me!" she then cried out.
"Wait! Stop him!" Zelena cried out. "He has my baby!"
"Zelena, we have to get out of here," Hades told his wife. "The flames are spreading really quickly."
"But Emmy!" Zelena cried and pouted.
"We'll deal with her later, I promise," Hades comforted. "We'll all be together again. That scurvy little brat won't get away with this."
"Okay..." Zelena said before she started to cough a bit from the fire and smoke.
Hades held Zelena closeby and went to go look for a way out with her while there was still time for them.
Audrey continued to run after Peter before she slipped and tripped, though she grabbed onto the boy's leg before she would fall. She began to cough a bit heavily. "Peter!" she then cried out between grunts and coughs.
Peter glanced over at her before glaring at her until he smirked wickedly as he held the baby girl he had stolen in his arms.
"Peter... Please... *cough cough* Help me..." Audrey begged as she coughed roughly in between her speech.
Peter just looked back at her before he briefly set down Emerald. He then suddenly removed Audrey's hand from his leg and he quickly grabbed Audrey by her collar, making her groan slightly. He then lifted Audrey up and made their eyes meet as he smirked at her rather sinisterly. "Long... Live... The Queen..." he then drawed out to her.
Audrey's eyes then slowly widened in fear as she suddenly felt the stomach stinging and painful sensation of betrayal. Peter then lifted her over the end of the bleachers and they were very high up and he then suddenly let go of her, making her plummet suddenly before he escaped out the window as he quickly snatched Emerald on his way out. Audrey let out a pained scream as it seemed like she was about to fall and land either hard on the floor and worst-case scenario, break her neck, or fall into some flames, burning her to death.
Mal looked over and quickly rushed over. Despite what Audrey had done to all of them in school and worse, her, just for existing, she knew that she couldn't let Audrey die like this and sprung into action as quickly as possible. "NOOOOOOO!" she then cried out as she dove in to save Audrey.
Peter smirked as he made it out the window and leaped out, expecting to land in a tree outside behind the school. However, once he jumped down, he looked wide-eyed as someone else was there, seeming to know he would be there before he reached his arms out with a dark glare on his face and it was shown to be Mr. Edward Hyde from The Walter Elias Academy.
"NO!" Peter cried out as he tried to get out of the way, but then suddenly landed right into Edward's arms.
"Gotcha, ya little monkey!" Edward glared as he grabbed Peter into a firm hold.
"Ah!" Mary gasped and yelped before she caught Emerald who fell out the window next and she gasped, feeling her heart jumping to see that a mere baby was in danger as well as the teenagers trapped inside the school. "Oh... You poor thing..." she then cooed to Emerald. "You must be scared to death."
Peter grunted and groaned.
"I think you're going to be in trouble for a long, long time, young man..." Edward tutted as he shook his head while holding onto Peter who struggled to get free, trying to wiggle his arms and legs.
"Okay! Okay, just let go of me, you big jerk!" Peter complained as he glared back at the man who held onto him in a bear hug.
"My, my... Such manners and language..." Edward glared at Peter firmly. "Who taught you how to behave in such a way?"
"Nunya." Peter replied.
"Nunya?" Edward repeated, though he felt like he knew what was coming next after that.
"Nunya damn business!" Peter then said as he stuck his tongue out.
Edward narrowed his eyes. "I think I know where you need to go, young man..." he then said before dragging Peter over to his car and shoved him right into the backseat after opening the door.
Peter struggled and tried to break out only for Edward to push him right in and shut the door, locking it instantly. "Hey!" the boy then complained. "You're just gonna leave me here?!"
"Yes, I am," Edward replied. "And don't bother trying to unlock yourself out, the doors lock and unlock from the outside. I'm going to see that you're given the proper care you deserve right after this." he then said before going back over to Mary and Emerald.
"Edward... Are you okay?" Mary asked as she tried to comfort and soothe the baby girl in her arms, gently bouncing her up and down in her hold.
"I'm fine, Mary," Edward reassured calmly. "How's this little one?" he then asked with a small smile.
"I think she'll be okay too," Mary said softly. "Would you like to hold her?"
"Oh... Erm... I... I don't know..." Edward said with a nervous smile. "I wouldn't want to bother her."
Emerald seemed to coo and giggle, trying to reach out for Edward, seeming to disprove that idea.
"I don't think she'll mind," Mary said with a small smile. "Why don't you try it out, dear? It could help you practice... You know... For the future?" she then hinted before winking at him a little.
Edward blinked and blushed before shrugging and he held out his arms. "Well... I guess I could give it a little try," he then said bashfully. "Come here, little one."
Mary smiled and soon helped Edward carry Emerald in his arms. Emerald seemed to coo and smile at Edward, even reaching out and patting her tiny hand against his cheek as she babbled at him.
"Oh... Uh... You're welcome... I was glad to help save your life," Edward said, taking that gibberish to mean "Thank you" based on what just happened. "It was my pleasure, little lady."
Emerald beamed and giggled at him a bit.
Soon, Zelena and Hades came right over before they looked in relief to see that their daughter was safe and sound.
"Oh, Sweet Pea, thank goodness..." Zelena sighed in relief. "What happened?"
"We saw her in the hands of that rotten boy who took her from you and it looks like she's going to be just fine." Mary explained with a small smile.
"Thank Heavens." Zelena smiled back as she put her hand over her heart.
Hades also smiled before he quickly grimaced. "Eww... She's spitting on him..." he then complained as Emerald seemed to be puckering and sucking her lips against Edward's cheek after her life was saved by him.
"She is not..." Mary said in amusement before beaming. "She's kissing him!"
"Ooh... I think she likes me~" Edward chuckled a bit while carrying Emerald in his arms.
The four adults then all shared a group laugh while Emerald cooed and looked around her surroundings. The moonlight up above seemed to glow and shine down on her.
"Oh... What a lovely moon..." Mary commented. "It'll be a full moon soon."
"Party time for me," Hades chuckled. "Also time to keep the weirdos in line."
"Hades..." Zelena rolled her eyes slightly with a small smirk.
"What? It's true," Hades smirked back. "A lot of crazy and creepy stuff happens during the full moon."
"Yes, I remember that from when we had this little one." Zelena reminded as she whispered sultrily.
Hades blushed and chuckled a bit. "So... Do you two have children?" he then asked Mary and Edward. "You two seem to be very good with Emmy."
"No, I'm afraid we don't have children." Mary replied with a small smile.
"I do adore most of them though," Edward had to admit. "Especially in molding their young minds and living with the fact that I taught them something that they would carry with them for the rest of their lives. That's why I became a teacher after all."
Hades and Zelena smiled at that, having thoughtful looks on their faces as Emerald seemed to enjoy Edward and Mary's company very much so far.
Back inside, Mal grunted and groaned as she and Audrey fell on the floor together. She then began to look for a way out, hyperventilating a bit as the flames seemed to be everywhere she looked for an exit. Audrey seemed to be trying to stand up, but quickly fell right back down as her leg seemed to be in great pain and her ankle was numb as she yelped and fell right back on the hard floor and coughed heavily and her eyes watered.
"Audrey... *cough cough* Come on, let's go!" Mal cried out and coughed a bit. "We have to get... *cough cough* out of here!"
"I can't... Move... *cough cough*" Audrey replied weakly. "You're just gonna... *cough cough* Leave me here... Aren't you? ...You'd like that wouldn't you? *cough cough* ...You think... I deserve this..."
Mal didn't answer Audrey and she soon quickly took a hold of the brunette girl, carrying her bridal style. She felt a little awkward about it and began to look for the nearest emergency exit and luckily spotted it, running that way before it would be too late. Sure, she could've easily left Audrey there right where she was, but something was panging her heart and told her otherwise as she saved the mean girl despite the trouble they had ever since Mal first moved into Auradon Heights. They soon made it outside and Mal tried to set Audrey down into a standing position.
"Oh, ow, ow!" Audrey cried out as she couldn't stand and she suddenly leaned against Mal. "My ankle! Set me down gently!"
"Seriously? You're complaining about how I saved your life?" Mal rolled her emerald eyes.
Audrey soon blinked and she found herself getting weaker and weaker before her coughing got worse and worse by the minute. Others came by to check on both Mal and Audrey.
"Mal... Are you okay?" Evie asked as she rushed over to her best friend/sister.
"I-I... I think I'm okay... Audrey doesn't look so hot though..." Mal replied weakly, but not as bad as Audrey.
The others looked over and saw that Audrey nearly looked like she was going to die.
"Audrey... Hold on..." Ben said as he knelt beside his notorious ex-girlfriend and Audrey's vision began to get blurry before blacking out as his voice faded. "Hold on..."
Audrey then passed out right then and there as the firefighters came to help take care of the school fire. She was soon placed on a stretcher with an oxygen mask.
"Man... This would make some epic school news." Jordan smirked at herself.
"Is Audrey gonna die?" Gil asked in horror.
"No... Audrey isn't going to die," Jay told him before muttering his next word as quietly as possible. "...Maybe."
Everyone quickly grouped up together as the firefighters went to put out the fire. Tonight was going to be a night to remember, especially in a way to end the usual Summer School Games, but not in the way anyone would hope or even want to remember.
Audrey was shown to be lying down in a hospital bed with her eyes closed. She had slight singes, but no terrible bruising and the others had come to see her. Audrey's grandmother was there with her after being contacted and demanded to go for a ride with Emma to take Audrey away from Emerald Acres and back home to Auradon Heights, sitting next to her bed and others were there, such as Dr. Dillamond, and Tilly was also there with Robyn Jr beside her, even though she and Audrey weren't childhood best friends anymore and she decided she was done with Audrey, she still decided to come back.
"She was very close to slipping away, but we managed to save her in time and she should be waking up very soon." Dr. Dillamond said, standing with his helper, Gildana (Vice-Principal Glinda's older daughter and Andrea's older sister).
"She should be sure to drink plenty of cold water," Gildana added. "I still can't believe that that punk just left her to die like that in that fire."
Dr. Dillamond nodded as that was so heartless and cruel. Mal and Evie soon came into the room after they were told of where to go and they saw Audrey lying down in bed, looking so small.
"She looks so small." Mal said softly.
"She really does." Evie added as she nodded in agreement.
They came a bit closer and Mal looked surprised to see out of everybody, Tilly was the closest one beside Audrey. "...Tilly?" she then called to the blonde girl.
Tilly soon looked over, looking quite sad when it seemed like Audrey was almost on her deathbed.
"...I've never seen you this close to Audrey before." Mal then said, surprised.
"...Audrey and I used to be best friends when we were little," Tilly decided to explain as she released a weary sigh. "We always used to have tea parties together... Especially with Benny."
"Benny?" Mal repeated curiously.
"My old white rabbit doll my father got for me when I was a little girl," Tilly explained as she nodded. "Then Audrey would have her Barbie doll she would dress like a princess. Audrey and me would have tea parties, sometimes we'd paint together... I really loved to paint, especially in my room... Then of course we'd make up a holiday where our birthdays were every day and call them 'unbirthdays' until our actual birthday."
"Unbirthday?" Mal then asked, a bit amused and also curious.
Evie lightly chuckled and smiled sadly as she remembered quite a bit of Tilly and Audrey's "Merry Unbirthday" shenanigans.
"Now statistics prove that you have one birthday. Imagine, just one birthday every year, but then there would be 364 unbirthdays, and that's why we would gather to cheer." Tilly explained like it was obvious as she gave an impish smile from the nostalgia.
"Wow... I had no idea Audrey actually knew how to have fun unless other people around her were miserable and did whatever she said," Mal said softly. "I guess she used to be such a sweet girl?"
"She really was," Evie replied. "Especially on her Sweet 6th Birthday Party where we were all invited... I'd never been invited to a birthday party before because everybody was afraid of my mom."
"I even remember when Ben asked her to dance and he looked like a little prince and she looked like a princess." Tilly agreed before the two girls laughed before sighing together.
"And then..." Evie then said with a small frown. "Something changed after that... It wasn't until Audrey was the first girl in our class to wear a bra when we got a little bit older that everything changed. It was like she was an entirely different person."
"Then she turned 13 and it went from bad to worse," Tilly added before she took out her phone to show what Audrey used to look like at age 12 before summer vacation as Mal couldn't believe what she saw: Audrey had her hair tied up in high and frizzy pigtails, braces on her teeth, and even horn-rimmed glasses. She looked like a nerd! "This was Audrey before summer vacation in 7th grade... And this is the welcome back to school into 8th grade." she then demonstrated before swiping her finger to show Audrey who had new contacts, her hair was down and straight, looking like a princess, and she had her braces taken off.
"Whoa." Mal muttered in shock.
"Just seems like after that, the Audrey we all knew and loved was gone," Tilly said lowly. "We lost her... Everyone lost her... I lost her... My sister... My best friend... My crush."
"Your crush?" Mal asked then.
Tilly blushed before she nodded. "I always had a big girl crush on Audrey growing up," she then explained as calmly as she could. "I never told her of course and the last thing I said to her before all this happened was really mean and I don't even know if I can tell her that I'm sorry."
Evie then reached out and gently patted Tilly on her shoulders. Tilly sniffled before looking over and then decided to hug it out with Evie.
"You miss your friend, huh?" Hades remarked.
"Audrey is my closest and dearest friend, I would give my own life for hers." Tilly admitted, even if Audrey proved to be impossible during their teenage years, she still missed the Audrey she had grown up with.
"If I had a way to help out, I would, believe me," Hades told her. "All we can do now is wait."
"Thank you for understanding." Tilly then said.
Mal then looked over at Evie. "I can't believe that she and Audrey used to be best friends." she then said in a quiet tone of voice.
"I know it's shocking, especially for you, but yes," Evie nodded. "I just hope Audrey isn't... Meeting her maker right now."
"...Me too." Mal agreed before she bowed her head.
Eventually, something new began to happen as light coughing was heard and Audrey's eyes were fluttering.
"Look... She's waking up." Gil pointed out.
"Man... I thought she died for a second there." Uma remarked.
"I would've told you otherwise." Dr. Dillamond said to the tough girl.
Audrey soon woke up instantly and looked all around her once she regained consciousness.
"You're okay." Leah smiled in relief to her granddaughter, showing a nice side for a change.
"Audrey..." Tilly breathed in relief, coming closer and grabbing Audrey's hand tenderly in between her own.
"Tilly..." Audrey gave a small smile as she held onto her childhood best friend, though softly. "Tell me it was all a bad dream."
"I wish I could, but it's all over now." Ben told her gently, but also firm.
"Everyone is all right now," Tilly then told Audrey after sending Ben a slightly firm look. "We're all right here, even Grammy Leah."
Leah then leaned in with a small smile once she saw her granddaughter was going to be alive and well before putting her arm around the girl.
"I'm sorry..." Audrey told Mal and Ben. "I wanted to hurt you both," she then faced everyone else who was in the room with them. "I wanted to hurt all of you."
"I have owed you an apology for a very long time." Mal told Audrey softly.
Audrey gave a small smile from that.
"And so have I." Ben replied as he stepped up briefly.
"I gotta say, Thornley, pullin' through like that? You're tough," Uma remarked before crossing her arms with a smirk and a nod. "I gotta respect that."
"Erm... Thank you, Uma..." Audrey replied as she nodded as well, looking a bit bashful. "Tilly... You got those sugar cookies?" she then asked her childhood best friend with a small pout.
Tilly smiled a little bit. "You'll have to ask my mum for the recipe, but I think we can arrange that," she then said. "If you want to be friends again of course."
"...How about I see what I can do?" Audrey requested.
"I suppose that's better than nothing," Tilly shrugged. "It's at least good to see you more like this and not like another Ivy or Scarlet."
"For sure." Jay agreed as Carlos nodded.
"At least this is a somewhat better happy ending for her," Zelena said to Hades. "Better off than being with that nasty green boy."
"Peter Pain-in-the-Neck as I'd like to call him." Hades rolled his eyes with a chuckle.
Zelena cupped her mouth before laughing to that a bit herself.
"Peter..." Audrey repeated quietly. "Where is he?"
"Don't worry about him, kid," Emma said with a small smile. "We caught him and Mr. Hyde is going to be taking care of him for you. He says you can have some time off for now to heal and relax, but you still have to do some summer school work, so he sent over some worksheets and packets for you to do."
"Which I expect you to do at least before dinner is on the table." Leah then added to her granddaughter, a bit firm, but not too much, but enough to show that she meant serious business.
"Yes, ma'am." Audrey sighed, but she did obey her grandmother.
"Good girl." Leah smiled warmly.
"And Mal? ...I hope that you and Harry will be very happy." Audrey then spoke up.
"Thank you, Audrey," Mal replied. "I hope you find a new special someone very soon."
"I guess I'll have to see about that." Audrey said with a small shrug.
Mal nodded as she looked a bit thoughtful.
"Ben... I hope that you and Keela will be happy." Audrey then said.
Ben's eyes widened before blushing. "...Who told you that I liked Keela?" he then asked.
"You just did." Audrey smirked.
"Oh." Ben said before smiling nervously while everyone else lightly chuckled and he backed away awkwardly and bashfully into the crowd.
"I'm just so sorry that I was bad," Audrey sighed. "I don't know how I'm going to make this up to all of you."
"It's all right, Audrey, really," Mal replied. "We can tell that you're serious... Besides, sometimes bad is the new good."
"I guess no one knows that better than you?" Audrey asked with a small smirk.
"Don't push it~" Mal warned as she smirked back.
"Well... I guess we better let you rest and figure out what to do tomorrow," Hades said before looking down at Mal and Evie. "Especially getting you guys back to Regina."
Mal frowned as she suddenly looked sad about leaving her father behind here in Emerald Acres just as she saw him again after so long. "Dad! I'm gonna have to miss you all over again." she then said which got his attention as he turned around with the guards.
"Thanks for letting me have a glimpse of the light." Hades smiled at her.
Mal then walked up to her father and gave him a small kiss on the cheek in thanks.
"...You know, Hades? It is summer vacation..." Zelena then suddenly spoke up.
The others then looked at her.
"Maybe... We could get out of Emerald Acres for a little while..." Zelena continued softly. "Have a little family vacation... To visit family?"
Evie looked over thoughtfully before she smiled hopefully.
"Would we happen to be visiting Auradon Heights?" Hades prompted with a small, knowing smirk to his wife.
"Well, if that's alright with you," Zelena said with a small smile before looking at Mal and Evie. "I think we'd do great to visit family over there."
Mal and Evie began to look at each other hopefully from that suggestion.
"Hmm... I'll think about it," Hades then said. "But otherwise, I see nothing wrong with that idea."
"Neither do I." Zelena agreed as she nodded with a small smile.
"So... You're coming home with us?" Evie asked.
"We'll have to see about that, Sweet Pea, but I think that it's a very nice idea," Zelena smiled warmly. "Now, come on. We better let Audrey rest, she's had a long night and so have you."
"Yes, ma'am." Mal and Evie agreed.
"Come on then," Hades said. "Let's get some hamburgers at Aunt Em's Diner or something. My treat." he then offered.
Mal and Evie smiled before they soon began to leave, along with the other guests in the room while Leah stayed with her granddaughter for as long as she could. Dr. Dillamond then began to go over a report with Gildana about their patient which took some time, but hopefully, it would all be worth it in the end. Tilly smiled at Audrey before sighing as she bowed her head and clutched her aching heart with her chest as she thought about her crush on Audrey that had grown over the years as they grew up together, but she didn't say anything of it as she began to leave with everybody else. Leah soon came out to see the girls, though she was coming to speak with Tilly, prompting the blonde girl to stop and look up and over at the older woman.
"I'm sorry to interrupt this, but Audrey wants to see you." Leah said to the eccentric girl.
Mal looked over and nodded as she stepped back to let the two talk since she wasn't a part of this conversation.
"Ah... Yes, Mrs. Rosenburg." Tilly nodded before she went to go back over to step in to see her childhood best friend.
Mal and Evie looked at each other before they decided to walk off together, though they glanced over as Ben and Keela left together and the two seemed to be holding hands together.
Audrey sat quietly as she waited for Tilly to come back, wiping her eyes as she let out a soft sigh.
"Hey." Tilly said softly as she then came over to see her childhood best friend.
"Hey... Tilly, I'm so sorry about what I said back in the gym," Audrey said weakly before she reached out, taking the glass of water that was there for her before she took a drink. "I was being selfish."
"Not to be blunt or offensive, but you kind of were," Tilly had to agree. "You were being worse than a bandersnatch."
"...I'll take your word for it," Audrey said before she then nodded. "I just feel so weak and powerless for letting my ego get to me like that."
"You'll keep your head held high, everyone knows you'd never hurt them on purpose," Tilly comforted as best as she could as she sat down next to her childhood best friend. "You are so much stronger than you think, Audrey.
"I just don't know what I would do without you." Audrey replied emotionally before hugging Tilly instantly.
Tilly seemed to blush in the hug before she gently patted Audrey's hand. "Well, when school comes back in the Fall, even if you wanna still be friends with Ivy, Scarlet, and Coraline... I'll be right with you... Right here." she then said before pointing at Audrey's heart.
"Do you promise?" Audrey asked softly. "And being best friends forever?"
"I promise," Tilly smiled softly. "We'll always be best friends, even in the distance of our cliques with you being one of the popular girls and... Well... I guess I'm just an oddball who lives in a fantasy world."
Audrey pouted sadly. "...Well, maybe you could be a popular girl with us?" she then began to suggest.
"Audrey... We're Auradon girls," Tilly lightly reminded. "We're not deal-breakers. I couldn't be a popular girl anyway... That's not me... You do you and I'll do me. You're more important to me than anyone else except for maybe Robyn Jr. I will always be there for you and be close to you whenever possible, but we will always have our tea parties with Benny and your Barbie collection."
Audrey smiled softly and wearily as this looked like goodbye. "...I'll miss you so much." she then said a bit emotionally.
"I'm gonna miss you too, Audrey," Tilly replied as calmly as possible. "Just keep me close to your heart and stay out of trouble."
"Thank you..." Audrey smiled softly. "I'll miss you so much."
"I'll miss you too." Tilly smiled back lightly.
"What did I do to deserve a special friend like you?" Audrey smiled softly.
Tilly gave a small smile back, showing her teeth a bit. "You were born." she then replied.
"I'm also fairest in the land." Audrey smirked bashfully.
"Of course, Your Royal Hiney-ness." Tilly smirked back, using her usual brand of humor then.
Audrey chuckled a bit. "...Maybe we could do homework at each other's houses sometime?" she then suggested. "You know... Make the most out of our old childhood visits?"
"Of course, I would love that," Tilly nodded before she looked around shyly before she leaned in a bit, sounding a bit more quiet than before. "I do have one request." she then said softly.
"Huh? Oh, okay, sure," Audrey gave a small smile. "What is it?"
"I want something to remember you by that I can keep in my deeper memories... One kiss." Tilly said softly, not wanting to ask for something more as she wasn't greedy to ask for something more tangible.
"A-A kiss?" Audrey's eyes grew wide. She wasn't offended or disgusted, she just felt surprised.
Tilly blushed slightly, but nodded.
Audrey bit her lip. "...Have you had these feelings for a long time and I just didn't know it?" she then asked bashfully, though she wasn't offended.
"Yes," Tilly admitted, then gave a small shy smile. "I know you prefer boys though so I wouldn't force you, but I would still like one kiss, so I can have that as one of my treasured memories, plus I have Robyn Jr now and you can find a new boyfriend who isn't Ben and probably do a heck of a lot better than Silly Old Mophead-I mean Chad. I've always had the biggest crush on you when we were little kids, but I never had the nerve to tell you, especially when you... Well... When you changed." she then explained calmly.
"Oh... Well... Okay," Audrey smiled bashfully. "I suppose just one kiss wouldn't hurt."
Tilly blushed but then smiled and moved her hands to gently cup Audrey's face and sweetly pressed her lips against the brunette's. Audrey's eyes widened once their lips touched, but she didn't object and just allowed for it to happen. She did seem to blush though during the kiss and looked a bit sheepish.
After the kiss was over, Tilly pulled back and gave a small smile, while also softly blushing. "Thank you, I'll treasure this memory forever." she said softly.
"...I think I will too, Tilly." Audrey said softly.
Tilly then gave a small smile in response.
"...Goodbye, Tilly." Audrey then said.
"Farewell, Audrey," Tilly nodded. "Have a good one and get well soon."
"I'm sure that Dr. Dillamond and Gildana will make sure that happens," Audrey replied. "This was nice."
"Yes, it was..." Tilly nodded as she began to leave. "I just wish we could plan to do it again sometime soon..." she then whispered wearily.
Audrey frowned softly as that sounded a bit sad to hear, but she began to think about their school lives together and wondered if she should change anything to be happy and not miserable anymore. One just had to wonder how this story would end now with all of that information between Audrey and Tilly. Not to mention what might happen with Hades and Zelena now about possibly leaving Emerald Acres to see Regina and everybody else in Auradon Heights.
