Hello everybody! Time for chapter six of this story, left on a bit of a cliffhanger last time, so we're gonna get right into it! Also, I realized I forgot the ending note last time! That's my bad, but there will be one this time!

Xalixcs: Thank you, it's certainly been just as much of a blast to write! As to how things will play out from here, you'll just have to read this chapter and see!

AndTails: The day was certainly wild for our favorite fox and hedgehog wasn't it? Amy certainly was unexpected for the two of them, but it'll be interesting to see what Four Fifteen thinks of his new circumstances!

Mechanized Production

New Home

Still somewhat in shock from his new realization, Four Fifteen found it difficult to quite wrap his brain around being anywhere but the Complex. Still however, he was determined to get some answers.

"How did you-"

"Break you out?" Amy finished for him. "Well, it's our job after all. We're a little group that others call the Resistance. Basically, we try to get other Mobians out of that Complex that Robotnik built and hopefully let them get on with their lives."

"That still doesn't answer my question… How do you break anybody out of there?"

"Once you get the hang of it, it's not terribly hard, just figure out where the Complex is most vulnerable and attack it there. The biggest problem is the collars but once you figure out how those work, it's not too difficult to get them off. In Bunnie's case, she can just crush them…"

"Bunnie?"

"Oh yeah! I should probably show you around! Cream, is he good enough to-"

"He should be fine," The rabbit added. "Plasma certainly helps the already quick healing process, he might be a little bit shaky though for a minute until his brain fully realizes his legs aren't broken."

Amy pulled the fox to his feet, and Four Fifteen almost instantly felt his legs give out underneath him. Amy helped him stabilize for a moment however and eventually he felt good enough to walk on his own. The rose hedgehog led him out of the small infirmary and into the main room of the bunker. It wasn't huge, just a small meeting room with a holographic projector of sorts on a table, along with doors to several other locations around the bunker. A singular large metal ladder near one of the walls led upward to somewhere Four Fifteen could only imagine. Sitting at the table was a tan female wolf, a black cloak wrapped around her body as she worked on a white and cyan colored rifle of sorts that sat on the table in front of her.

Looking up at the two Mobians, Four Fifteen was somewhat taken aback as he found one glowing mechanical eye in place of the wolf's left. The cyan color emanating from it illuminated some of her facial features as well. In fact, the entire left side of the wolf's face was replaced by a mask-like construct, completely replacing her left eye, ear, and part of her mouth with machinery. Her left hand and arm from the elbow down were also replaced by a dark gray metallic appendage. The figure certainly didn't emanate a welcoming aura.

"Hey Whisper," Amy spoke.

"This the new guy?" Whisper spoke, her voice having a somewhat robotic undertone to her words as she gazed at the fox, the cyan glow from her eye staring into his soul.

"Yeah, Four Fifteen, this is Whisper. She's our resident sniper and mechanic."

She extended her mechanical arm out to him to shake, which he tentatively accepted. Before he really had the chance to talk however, another Mobian descended the ladder into the main meeting room.

"Hey Amy how is the- Oh, he's awake!" The newcomer, a lemur dressed in a black and orange outfit spoke, immediately extending a hand out to the fox. "I'm Tangle! What's your name?"

The fox shook her hand, "I'm Four Fifteen." He responded, as he did, he noticed the mechanical glint from some of the lighter ringed sections of her abnormally large tail, the metal rings that formed the appendage seemed to be connected by dark colored kevlar like material, similar to his own appendages. Once put together, the alternating pattern gave it a striped appearance.

"Wait, you have a tail modification as well?" Tangle asked. "That's so awesome! What do yours do?"

"Well, I can fly…" The fox responded, somewhat overwhelmed by the lemur's energy.

"That's cool! Hey, look at what mine can do!"

The mechanical appendage behind her seemed to stretch and extend, lurching forward and wrapping itself around the fox.

"Pretty cool right?" She asked.

"Tangle," Amy spoke. "You two can talk a bit more later, I'm gonna get back to showing him around."

The lemur released her hold on the kitsune, letting her tail retract back behind her. "Alright, we'll talk later."

Amy quickly ushered the fox out of the room before she could change her mind. "Sorry about that, she's a bit of a talker…"

Four Fifteen was still somewhat taken aback at his new surroundings and the Mobians he'd met that he didn't respond before they reached the next room.

Entering into what looked like a small living room, he instantly spotted a rabbit taking a bit of time to relax. She looked up at the two of them as they entered, Four Fifteen instantly noticed the mechanical augmentations that were present. Both of the rabbit's legs had been replaced with large piston like structures, the bottoms looked more like heavy crushers than feet. A set of bolted support beams connected them to a backpack-like structure behind her. In addition to her legs, her left arm was a large gray and red metallic structure, and it far exceeded the size of her other arm, the three fingered claw-like appendage at the end had to be as big as his own head. Several pivot points on the device resembled the usual joins of an arm, gears, and cabling could be seen across the entire limb, also connecting it to the backpack attached to her.

"Hey Bunnie, just figured I'd introduce you to Four Fifteen here!"

The rabbit greeted him with a smile, "Well, it's a pleasure that's for sure, and sorry about breaking your legs with a giant piece of rubble, that was my bad."

"Bunnie is our resident demolitions expert." Amy continued. "And she's certainly well built for it."

"You could say that again, honestly, the whole augments thing ain't that bad."

"Well, it's getting a bit late." The rose hedgehog commented, "I figure I'll show him to his room and he can get to know everyone a bit better tomorrow."

The rabbit gave the two of them a nod and Four Fifteen was once again escorted off to another section of the bunker, this time, to a hallway with several doors on either side, eventually stopping at one of the doors, opening to reveal the fox's room, all ready and prepared for him, Sonic was already present.

"We figured we could put the two of you together considering we're a little tight on space with three new Mobians… Hopefully, that's fine."

"That's alright," The fox finally spoke. "But, where exactly are we?"

"I'll explain a bit better tomorrow, but just get some rest and hopefully it'll all make a little more sense."

She left the fox in his room with the hedgehog. Four Fifteen was still a bit overwhelmed with everything that was happening, but Amy seemed nice enough, and maybe he would get to know a bit more about everything tomorrow.

However, a somewhat awkward silence had descended over the room as the fox laid out on his cot across from where the hedgehog sat. "So…" He began.

"I don't even want to hear it," Sonic replied. "I mean, who just turns on their friend like that?"

"Look, I'm sorry… I just didn't want to see you get killed and-"

"So you wanted to kill me yourself huh? Real heroic of you to do that!"

"That isn't what I-"

"So what were you trying to do then huh?"

The fox sighed, he actually found himself feeling awful for what he'd done, a sensation of which he was unfamiliar. "Sonic… I'm sorry… I know you're new to the complex, but when Robotnik tells you to do something, you don't get a choice… I didn't want to fight you, but there wasn't any other way."

Sonic sighed and silence descended over the two of them once more. "So I was just supposed to roll over and let Robotnik boss me around?"

"Sonic… I'm fourteen, I've lived in that thing my whole life. Do you really think I would have done it if I knew another way? There isn't another option. I'm very sorry."

Sonic seemingly contemplated his words for a moment before responding, the anger that had been in his voice before now gone. "It's alright…"

"We can still be friends right?" The fox asked, a little bit of concern seeping through his words.

"Of course! Just, maybe we got off on a bit of the wrong foot. We'll be better now."

The fox smiled, finally relaxing on his cot. He did feel quite tired still. "Good night Sonic."

"Night."

The fox gently allowed his mind to pull him off to sleep, as the thoughts and events of the day slowly faded from his head…

Alright everybody, that's it for this chapter, I know it's a short one, but it'll be important later! We'll get back with Four Fifteen and Sonic next chapter! Leave a review with your thoughts and I'll see you next time!
