I am a young Caucasian male living in the so-called 'American Midwest' area of the United States. My interests lay in various subjects, including -though not limited to- dogs, cats, computers, robotics, religion, science, certain cartoons and anime, and just about anything to be found in Science-Fiction and Fantasy.

Shows I like: Teen Titans, DBZ, Yugioh (sometimes), Inuyasha, Yu Yu Hakusho, Case Closed, Cowboy Bebop, House MD, CSI, Law & Order, X-Play, Star Trek (any but Voyager), and several others that do not come to mind at the moment.

Books I like: Harry Potter, Young Wizards, Dragonriders of Pern, Wheel of Time, and countless others I shan't even try to list.

Movies I like: Almost any I've seen including Jurassic Park, Shrek, Star Wars (original trilogy), and Taxi, but not including most interpretations - especially those of recent years. Eragon is a good movie in its own right, but the only plot that remained was the existence of Eragon, Saphira, Brom, Galbatorix, and the Varden. They didn't even keep to the book's descriptions of almost anything, most especially the home of the Varden and the Dwarves. For that matter, I don't remember for sure whether the movie even had Dwarves...

I read most pairings, though I am not particularly fond of slash of any kind, being straight myself, while not having anything against it either. Well, I take that back, I do have something against it: Most of it seems to have been written by either virgin guys who are straight and have no regard or respect for accuracy or grammar, or by fan-girls holding the same lacks of regard to those and to common sense. That is not sexual tension you see between Inuyasha and his half-brother Sesshoumaru, people; that is genuine tension!

Potter Pet Peeves=====
Forget those mutilated abominations that are the movies, people! Harry is not a brunet, his hair is black, and the scar is supposed to be in the middle of his forehead.
Harry is left-handed, not right handed. If you don't believe me, go back and read the chapter where he gets his wand. Upon being asked his wand hand, Harry replies that he writes with his left.
Snape, Dumbledore, Voldemort, etc. is not Harry's father. Harry's father is James Potter. Furthermore, James Potter is dead, has been for years. He and Lily did not fake their own deaths. Even if they had, they would not have left Harry behind or to live with the Dursleys.
I'm not even going to begin to rant about the bastardized Latin used in most of the spells in Harry Potter Canon, much less the garbled randomness used in much of the fandom.

Naruto Pet Peeves=====
If you're going to write out jutsu names, please do so in Japanese. I realize many of you don't know the language, I myself don't either, but the English names just make my skin crawl in disgust. For those of you who don't know Japanese, you can always use a translator like Babelfish or the one at Anime Lab; it may not be entirely accurate so far as grammar is concerned, but at least those of us who watch the subbed version won't have to flinch at every jutsu name...we'll just save it for the grammar and spelling errors. ;)

When you're talking about Sarutobi's (a.k.a. Sandaime or Third Hokage for those who haven't gotten that far in the series) students, you only refer to them as "Sannin" when you're talking about all three. Sannin basically means "three people," so it just doesn't work when speaking about just Tsunade, Jiraiya, or Orochimaru; only when you're mentioning all three together. If you want to give a title for just one or two of them, use "Sennin," which I believe means hermit; it's their official title, don't ask me why.

InuYasha Pet Peeves=====
Inuyasha is at least 150 years of age before being blasted into stasis by Kikyo's arrow, not fifteen or sixteen as so many of you like to believe. Mind you, at the rate Youkai and Hanyou age and mature, I suppose there really isn't all that much difference.
Sesshoumaru does not belong with Inuyasha, Naraku, or Shippou. The first is because they hate each other. The second is because they both betrayed each other, and neither is very forgiving at all. As for the third...what the hell are you people on that allowed you to come up with this shit, 'cause I want to know where to buy some!
Any idiot who thinks that Miroku, Shippou, Kirara, or any other character besides Kagome or Inuyasha can go through the well whenever they want should be shot. Of course, there is an excuse provided that the author actually gives an explanation as to how that is in fact plausible instead of just having them jump in and appear on the other side...
Everyone being High School students, and the jewel shards and well having nothing to do with the plot? No...just no. This idea is even more stupid than Shippou being with either Sesshoumaru or Naraku (and yes the latter is out there somewhere, I've seen it...) and anyone who writes this deserves to have their eyes scooped out before being disemboweled with a plastic spoon.

General FF Pet Peeves=====
When you're writing a story with Western characters (a.k.a. those from China and the surrounding countries), don't have them introduce themselves in the Eastern way. This includes characters from most anime as well, unless you know for a fact that their name is originally supposed to be in the Eastern format in the original version of the show. For those of you who don't yet know, in the Western cultures, people introduce themselves with their familial or clan names first, then followed by their personal names; whereas in the Eastern cultures, such as America, it's usually the other way around, with a few exceptions.
I find it surprising how many english-writing authors disregard the fact that pluralization depends on the grammar rules of the source language. It could be due to the fact that many television shows do so as well, but that's besides the point. The most common example of this that I usually see, is how people are always adding an "s" to pluralize Japanese words, when anyone who knows even the very basics of said language will tell you never to do so. While some words will change form to show pluralization, for the most part Japanese words stay the same; similar to "fish" or "chicken" in the English language. In other words, people, "Don't add an 's' to katana, kunai, shuriken, or ninja!"
It's also scary how many people don't even use any form of spell check when writing fanfiction stories. Even if the spell check option in most word processors is crap, it can at least make your stories 30-40 more readable at the least for those who don't use it. Then, for words that are created by the author of the original book, you can check that book, or even a fansite or wikipedia, for the proper spelling. You would not believe how many people cannot spell "Mellon nin" correctly.
For those people who write stories completely in 1337 5!34 , you can go hide with the people who like to write Inuyasha High School stories until you're hunted down. Don't get me wrong, I don't have anything against leet-speak in forums or Instant Messages, but don't use it in a story unless you have a character speaking or typing it to someone else.
Here's one for my fellow Eragon fans: Never make a fanfiction story into a Movie and try to pass it off as an interpretation of the original book. I don't care how good of a stand-alone story you use, you can't expect any truly loyal fan to give it any praise as an interpretation. I mean, for crying out loud, the Harry Potter and Lord of the Ring movies were more accurate than that POS! Did any of the people in charge of making that movie or acting in it even read the book?! Sure, the most obvious change was the fact that the Varden lived in a valley instead of inside and around Tronjheim, but there were probably a good fifty-some others that were still blatantly obvious to anyone.

Sorry all for not having uploaded any more chapters. Unfortunately, mere weeks after I uploaded those that are already here on FFN, one of my drivers decided to interfere with my HDD and so I had to get a new one. That didn't come until January, at which point I was more focused on completing my online school work, and I have since been distracted by my new home business, and some new stories I've been reading. Add to that the fact that, upon going back and actually reading what I had written, I now plan on making some rather large cosmetic changes, and well...

Well I meant to type this out when I first uploaded the story, but I unfortunately have some issues with prioritizing things, as well as with articulating my thoughts, so...

Rules:
Has to have Harry Potter and Cowboy Bebop at the least. I don't mind if people add other 'verses into the cross, but be sure to state that you're doing so if that is the case.
Harry must appear near one of the Bebop characters or their parent(s) and be taken in.
Voldemort at least must still be alive. You may include other wizards and witches as well, if you'd like, but make it believable, please.
Hogwarts must have taken damage from the destruction of the moon. I don't care whether you destroy it, but the Sorting Hat must be turned into the AI of the Satellite seen in the session "Jamming with Edward."
Include back story of what happens after Harry's "disappearance," as well as what you decide really causes the Gate Incident.
Include in your summary some way of recognizing it as a response to this challenge, so that it is easier for people to find. In addition, if you would, please contact me as well by sending me a message.

This is a crossover between Harry Potter and Cowboy bebop, in which Voldemort's spell inadvertently sends Harry forward through a temporal/spatial rift to appear near Edward's father before he leaves her at the orphanage. Appledelhi adopts Harry and raises him for a few years alongside Ed, with the latter two eventually finding various heirlooms around their home belonging to the Lovegoods. Warning: Will have Techno!Magery, Soul Magic, Cursed Heirlooms, and More.
I plan to also write a prequel of what happens to everyone in the past, including a war between Voldemort with his Death Eaters, Dumbledore with the Order and Ministry, and the Muggle Governments. Warning: Will have Manip!Dumbles, Anti-Heroes!Bella&Sirius, Sane!Longbottoms, Bad-Ass!Neville, Open-Eyed!Hagrid, and More.
