The street of metropolis is getting destroyed by a mad villain cackling loudly as he blows up the street bringing terror around him before he was blasted back by Supergirl alongside Double and Wonder Women.
"Supergirl you must vanquish this foe and win the day hit him with everything you got." Wonder Women ordered before charging in joined by Double.
"You got this we'll keep him busy" Double said before dodge a blast.
Nodding Supergirl winds up her fist ready to punt this third rate mad doctor to dream land "Nighty night wackjob." but before she could land a punch a strong whoosh and her spinning in place completely confused "Huh?" before she looks up and growl as she watch a flying man with a tight blue spandex and red boot and cape with a S symbol in a shield shape crest on his chest as he lands showing a confident smile, blue eyes and slick black hair with a curl strand poking out.
"Don't worry metropolis Superman is here." he announce getting cheers from everyone even her teammates as the cheering kept going Supermans heroic laugh start to distorts to a mocking one as Supergirl is getting pushed back by people who was getting to bathe in Supermans light she then hears beeping noises fading in as Kara shuts her eyes.
"And in this morning's headlines, Superman is at it again." before she slams her fist on her alarm getting a groan realizing it was another dream.
getting up she looks to her calendar only to groan in agony "Great it's Super appreciation day now that doofus is going to get a fat head." she grumbled before washing up and getting dressed, she went out wearing headphones at full blast to block out all the Superman appreciation going about.
Even if it's ironic but she is happy to be at school now and hopefully she won't hear anything about Superman "Finally, a place where I don't have to see his annoying face-" as she just said that she was slap in the face now looking as another Superman news article and seeing who its from got her to growl before dropping the paper and stomping on Superman's face as she made her way to the editor n chief.

"Olsen! Where's my art? Layout's in five! Cruz! ETA on the Enviro-Beat column? Gimme words! And Hidari! Your helping Olsen so get me those pics yesterday!" spoke the fast talking young reporter hopeful as she orders all that while typing in more articles before her laptop we see a young women who has black hair in a messy bun with some pencils sticking out. She has pink glasses above and wears an oversized cardigan. She sports dark blue pants and black flats.
"Almost done, Lois!" said Jess who is writing the environment column of the school paper.
"Hai hai Lane sempai." Shoutaro said before he grabs a picture and gave it to Olsen who nodded thanks before heading to the chief editor. "Thank you Bat Shot for getting those pictures." he said to his camera before he noticed Kara marching up to Lois "Kara?"
As Lois ate a bagel Olsen showed the pics Shoutaro took " Say, that's swell, Olsen!" he nodded and walked back but also noticed Kara who shut closed Lois's laptop getting her attention "What's buzzin', cousin?"she asked recognizing Kara as Smallvilles younger cousin.
Kara angry because she can't not see her cousins face everywhere "Why are you printing stuff about him in the school paper?" showing the paper she stomped on this morning.
Lois not seeing her point voiced it out "What's eatin' you, Danvers? That's a legitimate story and I'm a legitimate reporter. Got it? Now who's got a pencil?" before Shoutaro looked at her hair before just picking one in the pencil mug and gave to her "Thanks Freelance." she said to Shoutaro who sighed .
As Lois open her laptop Kara slam it closed getting Lois to back up as Kara now miffed "There are way more important stories out there than Superman."
Though at first surprised now looking not any least bit interested but Jess jumps in "She's right. I've got a lead on some terrible chemical dumping." Jess said showing the papers she got getting Shoutaro to glance at it.
Before their attention is back on Kara who is trying to bait Lois "What if I told you there was another hero out there, hmm? A better hero, with all the same powers as Superman but even awesomer." (laying it on thick aren't ya?)
This got Lois to look at her in doubt she's seen Superman at work for a whole year so if someone can match him then they better be up to par "I like your potatoes, Danvers, but where's the meat? What other hero's gonna get me an internship at the Daily Planet?" she said as she briefly remembers clumsy smallville and thinking he might need her help.
Kara now going to pull her hook "Ever heard of Supergirl?" she said now really hoping to one up her cousin but by the look on Lois that isn't happening.
As Lois sit up straight opening her laptop "Super who?" now absolutely not interested at all.
Kara now angry close it again now glaring at Lois "Supergirl."
"Eh, sounds like a retread to me. If this Supergirl of yours did anything to earn the front page, trust me, she'd be there." Lois said as she lean in getting her point across before noticing the pencil she was using disappeared not realizing she just tucked it in her hair "Now will someone please get me a pencil?" much to Shoutaro's annoyance and Olsen and Jess's shake of the head being used to her eccentrics, Kara just swiped the pencils in her hair and snap all of them in half before stomping away "Ah, there they are." before her hair drop down from her bun.
(Science Class)
""Sounds like a retread to me." Ugh. What does that even mean?" Kara complained while dumping chemicals together not paying attention to her lab partner.
"Uh, um, Kara? Maybe just a few grams of that potassium, please."who was Karen but due to her timid nature Kara didn't hear her.
"If anyone's a retread it's him. Did you know I was 12 when Uncle Jor-El and Aunt Lara had him? I used to baby-sit him back on Krypton!" Kara said getting annoyed by her baby cousin still dumping more powdered chemicals that changed it from pink (magenta) to a yellowish orange.
Perking at the new info both Babs and Shoutaro to look at her "Really? I mean, dude, that bites! No wonder you're so mad." Babs said at first excited before railing in her enthusiasm while Diana was looking fascinated by the chemicals.
Shoutaro looked back at Kara "I get it your mad but Superman has been doing this hero work for 2 years while we started a few weeks." Shoutaro said much to Kara's annoyance while ignoring Karen and the bubbling volatile vial.
Kara now riled up started to as she was mindlessly throwing other chemicals in much to Karen's nervousness as she made herself distance while Kara started to rant "I could've gone to Earth first and then everyone would love me, but no, I had to get stuck in space stasis while he was down here becoming a... "Man." I mean, I have the exact same power as him. I come from the exact same planet. I practically have the exact same backstory-" BOOM everyone ducked in cover as the chemical blew up and as the smoke cleared up Kara stood surprised before saying "Oops. My bad." before taking off her goggles now confused "What happened? I thought you measured all this stuff?" she asked her lab partner.
Karen non plus explained "Yes, but when you add heat to highly volatile chemicals, they-".
Kara not really pay attention cut her off "Mmm-hmm, mmm-hmm. So why do they all love him and nobody even notices me?" still on the subject.
Shoutaro dust off his hat before saying " Like I said he was doing heroics for 2 years." putting his hat back on he turns to Kara "Maybe you should not worry over whose the better supers?" but this time Kara ignored him not liking him not taking her side.
Babs pops up unintentionally knocking Shoutaro back as she got an idea "Ooh! You know what you should do? Make them notice you. Get out there and show 'em what Supergirl can do!" she said excitedly before she felt a hand on her head sweating a bit as Shoutaro held her.
" Yeah... Yeah!" Kara said liking the idea while Shoutaro was pulling Babs cheeks as she flails her arms crying sowee in the background while Karen is trying to calm them down.
Diana knowing how some warriors would react poorly due to petty rivalry spoke cautiously to Kara "A word of caution, Kara. When we seek glory, it can sometimes blind us to the greater good."
Kara thought about it but took it the wrong way "Hmm. You're right. I'm gonna knock his grinning face off the front page." Kara declared while Diana frown at her.
Shoutaro still holding Babs by the cheeks turns to Kara "Not what she meant." before letting go of Babs before he walked out "I'm heading out early got the job from the chief to get more pictures Olsen sempai is waiting for me."
Kara heard him working for the school newspaper decides to follow him so he could get a picture of Supergirl rather than Superman "You better get my good side Shoutaro." she said with a smirk while Shoutaro sighed in annoyance.
(Metropolis crime)
An old granny walked to the bus stop while a purse snatcher snatched her purse but before he could make a run for it he was Punched by Supergirl who posed for the camera at first getting Lois's attention only to reveal it was on a bank robbery solved by Superman who was photographed much to Supergirls surprise.
Next was a runaway train skidding towards a broken rail track Supergirl came in and used her body so the train won't derail but due to her wanting to quickly perform her heroics she didn't see the whole track which is basically destroyed but thanks to Superman who caught the train and getting another front page much to Supergirls chagrin.
Next was the fire as she saved the the people he putout the fire, after that was a meteor that she stopped but he saved the people from the daily planets ornament that she unintentionally caused, then she saved people from drowning while Superman was punching voracious sharks, now Supergirl was getting more and more annoyed now doing everything she can from stopping oil leaks into the ocean to catching falling buses to stopping a bomb in town square but the public were still chanting Superman as he helped an old lady get her cat down before flying off.
Now absolutely done she flew off to get her cousin to stop showing her up "Hey." she said trying to get his attention "Hey!" this time shouting but still ignored making her more annoyed this whole week "[groaning] Hey!"
now shouting frustrated by being ignored by him.
Though this time she got his attention "Huh? What? Supergirl? What are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be in school or something?" he said accusingly thinking she ditched school wouldn't be the first time.
Slightly offended she answered back "Uh, it's Saturday. And what I'm doing here is telling you to back off!" as she flew up to Superman who stop flying and listen to his cousin.
A little confused "Back off? I don't follow." he said arms folded and quirking a brow before raising both as Supergirl points accusingly at him.
"I've been working my butt off for days trying to save people in Metropolis. But every time I do something to prove I'm a hero, there you are-" Supergirl ranted only for Superman back to a raise brow finishing for her "Being a hero?" a little caught off guard Supergirl nod "Yes! I... I mean no. Ah uh, I, I mean..." now holding her head in frustration.
Superman looked at her with some sympathy "Listen, cuz, if I've told you once, I've told you a million times. Being a real hero takes time and experience. Experience I have." Superman said softly but sternly "It took a long time for me to get where I am and I also went through a lot of mistakes but you should keep going at your own pace while the grown ups handle the rest." he said not realizing he stepped on a mine.
"Grow up? [scoff] You were Superboy, like, last summer!" now more angry at her cousin for pulling up age.
Superman looked offended "It was two summers ago, and that's beside the point. Heroics isn't for selfish reasons Kara and if you can't get your head around it, than your not ready" he said firmly before flying off.
But all Supergirl heard was a challenge "I'll show you ready!" before speeding to Superman who was slightly surprised before he dodge out of the way.
"Kara! what are you doing!?" he said confused by her attacking him before dodging more of her reckless assault "Do you honestly think that this makes you a better hero?" before finally catching Supergirl as they both keeps pushing each other back "Than you got a lot to learn kid.".
Supergirl taunts back "Ha! That's what I said to you when you were potty training!" getting on Superman's nerves.
Superman a little fed up at her "You're just jealous I'm-" "A pompous bonehead?" Supergirl taunted much to Superman's annoyance "You really going to regret that." Superman said grinding his teeth.
Supergirl taunts back "yeah make me." before pulling her head back with Superman doing the same before SLAM both heads collided and was pushed back "Ow, ow, ow, ow, ow, ow, ow!" but only seemed that Supergirl was hurt while Superman looked down sternly, seeing this she growled before going back on the offenses.
Both Supers clashed blow for blow Superman fed up with her childish behavior shout at her "Stop acting like a child!" punching her back.
But Supergirl is now started to taunt back "Why don't you make me, Clark?"
Superman looks at her sternly "Don't call me by my name."
While Supergirl still going at it "Whatcha gonna do about it, Clark?" as they kept fighting.
(Chemical waste)
As the Supers were duking it out an old man was grumbling as he was working on his experiment before the compound blew up in his face frustrated he poured his failed experiment in the Chemo dump but seeing it close to being full the scientist pulled a lever so the chemicals are dumped out.
We see the sewage of chemicals dumped out into the back alley where different chemical wastes are thrown out, as the chemicals starts mix with each other it starts to pull itself together taking a vaguely human shape it peered its surroundings before seeing a rat scurrying about before seeing it, it hissed out but it starts to squeal weakly before it slumped dead the monster looked down before stepping on the dead rat leaving behind a dissolved skeleton as it makes it's way to destroy anything in its wake CHEMO was born.

Karen was reading a chemistry book in peace but when she felt a vibration in her pocket, Pulling her phone out and saw a text [Hey Karen want lunch?] it was Jess and feeling hungry she texted back [OK Meet you at the usual?] send waiting a bit Jess replied [K see you there] smiling she made her way to the front to check out the book she was reading after showing her Library card and making her way out before hearing a commotion she saw people backing away from the alley before running away where Chemo came out growling melting anything in its way.
With a gasp before narrowing her eyes she ran and called her friends before running to find a place to change "I really need to upgrade my suit." she silently said finding her suit to be cumbersome to put on.
(Metropolis few minutes before)
Shoutaro was groaning being dragged by Lois the whole week seeing her looking around for her next big hit "Where are we going now sempai?" he said to Olsen who open his mouth only to be cut off by Lois.
"We're looking for the next big news in the making freelance and maybe get a place in the Daily Planet!" she said with gusto before looking at the newspaper stand with one of the smaller column written by Clark Kent "Smallville." she mumbled softly before psyching herself up "And we better move before the juicy news gets away got it." she points to Shoutaro who backed away from her finger while Olsen was looking around before seeing a commotion and seeing the cause he tugged on Lois's sleeve mouth gaped.
"I know our deal ends after today so that means I'm gonna take full advantage and get that-What..." she at first lecture turn to exasperation turns to awe as she watch a giant glowing green slime monster causing mayhem, a smile start to form as she grabbed both Olsen and Shoutaro who looked confused "Now this looks like a front page news!" now both boys look horrified while Olsen silently whimpered Shoutaro can only balk.
"Eh?" was all Shoutaro said as he was dragged towards the giant walking bio hazard.
Wanting to get its attention she looked around before picking up a rock "Ready to earn that Daily Planetinternship?" she said to Olsen who was shaking in fear while Shoutaro seeing the rock shook his head " Hey, goo guts! Turn around and smile for the camera!" only to facepalm as she threw the rock at CHEMO.
With a blop and splash followed by a sizzle the monster turned it's head to the young reporters whose starting to think this was a mistake "On second thought, run now, pictures later!" as the three ran away from the monster.
(Back to the present in the sky)
Superman is restraining Supergirl before she could cause more trouble "Supergirl calm down I don't want to hurt you."
"Let me go! Or I'm going to hurt you!" Supergirl said in anger before both heard the screams both looking down seeing Lois and Shoutaro cornered by chemo while Olsen is hiding behind cover shakily taking pictures.
"Lois!/Shoutaro!" both cried out before looking to one another before both swoops in and grabbed each of the cornered "damsels"
Shoutaro holding his hat coughed a bit in relief in Supergirls arms "Thanks..." he said getting her to blush and look away.
While Superman looked at Lois in concern "Are you okay miss Lane." the young reporter nodded with a blush getting Superman to sigh before looking to his cousin "Lets get them to a safe place."
As they made their way to the library where Bumblebee finished suiting up watch as both Supers flew down and letting Lois and Shoutaro down seeing Supergirl she flew over "Supergirl! we need to get that monster out of the city."
Superman hearing this nodded "Got it one good punch should be enough to blow glob boy out of orbit." as he punch his palm.
Supergirl was about say something before Bumblebee in a panic flew up to Supermans face "No, listen! You mustn't hit that thing! It's filled with hydrogen fluoride and antimony pentafluoride! It's 20 quintillion times more corrosive than sulfuric acid! He's made of super-dangerous glop! If you hit him, the splatter will be so massive it'll reduce Metropolis to a smoking hole in the ground." getting both Supers to stare wide eyed.
"So what are we suppose to do." Supergirl said feeling more frustrated than before.
Shoutaro coughed remembering the noxious fumes from the monster "Don't stay close that thing is poisonous, breathe enough and you will be struggling for breath." he said as Lois also coughed slightly.
Karen scan the two before sighing in relief "It's not that harmful they just need some water for the coughs." before turning to the Supers "You need to get him out of the city without him splattering everywhere.
Superman pondered before looking at Supergirl who looked back at him "You want to be hero?" Supergirl looked determined "Then follow my lead." before flying of with her flying with him.
As CHEMO is laying waste thankfully no casualties before seeing both Supers flying above it roaring at them.
Supergirl looked back at Superman "So? Whats the plan?" before Superman inhaled before blowing a freezing breath causing CHEMO to slow down before freezing solid. "Cool." because Supergirl mostly use brute force she doesn't use her super breath that often.
Superman seeing CHEMO slowly thawing itself out he devise a plan "He's thawing, Supergirl I'm going keep him on ice you carry him out to space once their we blow him up." getting her to nod and then flew down to CHEMO grabbing him before flying up Superman flew ahead of them taking a deep breath before blowing ice cold wind thankfully CHEMO is big enough so Supergirl has cover from her cousin's icy breath.
As they flew all the way up and out of space both Supers pushed him for extra distance just in case Superman looks to Supergirl with his eyes glowing "You ready."
Supergirl glance back nodded "Oh yeah." before both release their heat beams into CHEMO who was going through a chemical reaction as it's inside starts to bubble before CHEMO inflates before exploding in array of different lights.
back on earth those watching saw the big blast before glitter starts to rain down and flying down was Superman giving everyone a reassuring smile.
The rest of the Titans (san Shoutaro) who came saw Superman getting praised by the people, they looked concern for Supergirl thinking it will hurt her confidence before hearing "Hey, guys." seeing Kara walking back to them a bit tired.
"Kara! That was amazing!" Babs said rushing up to Kara and glomping her getting a chuckle out of her.
Jess came up to her smiling "You just saved the entire city!"
"And talk about a spectacle! Brava!" Zee applauded before cheering.
As Babs let her go Kara smiled to Karen "Yeah. I guess it's good that someone pays attention in chemistry."
Karen shook her head "But it was you who saved the day!" she said hoping to cheer her up.
Kara looked to the side seeing the crowed thanking Superman "And it was him that got the credit." she said before Superman flew away.
Diana looks to encourage Kara "You chose the greater good over glory. You should be proud."
Kara was about say something before a hand rested on her head getting everyone's attention they see a slouching reporter with glasses looking down at her "You should be proud Kara, you really helped cleaning up the parts I can't but maybe try and look ahead before leaping into action alright kid." the man said before giving her a folder "A gift from some freelancer." the man winked at Kara before he walked away.
"Who was that?" Babs said looking at the retreating man who stumbled a bit before walking away.
Kara looked surprised before saying "My cousin." getting the rest to double take, Kara is curious about the folder pulling a stack of pictures out and they all looked getting more surprise by the photos of Kara doing her Heroics the whole week. "Who took these?" before hearing her cousin mentioning a freelancer and remembering Lois calling someone that as a nickname, "That dummy." she buried her face in the pictures as she blushed.
(Metropolis high news club)
He-choo! Shoutaro sneezed before scratching his head wondering if he got a cold "What did ya give to Supes Freelance?" Lois asked with a raised brow typing away thanking Olsen for the great picks even if it was slightly blurry.
"Mm? Ah nothing just a thank you to Supergirl but since she didn't came with him might as well let him be the messenger." Shoutaro said shrugging his shoulder before finishing his work "And done. I hope we don't get called soon after this whole week I need a break." getting a chuckle from Olsen while Lois smirked.
"Don't count on that once the month start I'm gonna hire ya again so get as much shut eye as ya can because your not getting away Freelance." Lois said smirking at the half boiled detective who wave her away.
Shoutaro stop just in front of the door "Oh, Right I've gotta message from a friend. Smallvills waiting." with his piece said he left not seeing a blushing but smiling Lois who stood up and point to Olsen yelling orders before rapid typing can be heard.
