Episode 8 #Meet The Cheetah/The Queen and her Joker.

Diana was making her way to class before stopping to seeing the school bulletin board, "Mmm. I do find myself more free time, but this board of extracurricular activities would help me not only to maintain my skills in combat but also combat the dreaded free time away from my friends!" Diana stated before looking at the activities she could take up.
"Maybe you should do one thing at a time for now princess." Shoutaro said getting her attention who was looking at the board before seeing what he was looking for "How bout the gymnastic club, I know someone there and I can call her for you to try it out." he said as he pulls out his civilian phone. His stagphone might be versatile as Double but he can't really get into message groups with his friends unlike his I phone plus it was a gift.
Diana looked surprised but she smiled at him "You have my thanks Shoutaro but how do you know I want to join in on these extracurricular activities?" she said looking to him.
Shoutaro looked up from his phone sighing in exasperation "Your not subtle Diana. You were looking at the board and you were talking to yourself." after typing something in he looked to her "C'mon looks like I'm dragged in with you so follow me" 'She really need to lighten up a bit you don't have to do everything.' Shoutaro thought to himself as he walked to the gymnasium with Diana following close behind.
(Gymnastic club)
We see a member crouching in preparation before her eyes opened up showing her focused brown eyes before running up to the vault and vaulting off performing several spins before land with grace and posing revealing the attractive girl who was the unfortunate victim to Leslie's prank a few weeks prior. But that didn't hurt her pride as she is still the queen as her subje- I mean her fellow members cheered for her "If you keep vaulting like that, we might actually win gold this year." said one of the girls.
But the queen scoffed taking the towel offered to her "Well, it wasn't me who fell on the uneven bars." getting said girl to droop down at her mistake.
"C'mon Barbi be nice." Shoutaro said as he was standing aside "We don't want a repeat of the "thing" now do we." He said using his fingers to quote the "Thing" mostly cause he was the reason she still have pride after the closing door incidents.
Barbi looked to him sternly "Oh please Sho chan we need to be perfect if we want to compete in the Preliminaries." but she soften her looks as she saw his face flush.
"Hai hai but can you stop with the nickname?" Shoutaro said as he tries to hide his face with his hat.
Barbi giggled at his reaction before the coach got her attention " Nice work, Barbi. Maybe your cleanest vault yet."
Barbi smirked "Good. Then, if it's settled, and I'm captain again, let's get one thing clear..." before Barbi could set her rules.
"Hang on. I think there's one more girl. Diana Prince." her coach said.
Barbi's smirk instantly disappeared as Diana was mostly an excuse to bring Shoutaro to watch her perform "Ugh, the new girl." but she hates how the girl was so close to him.
Shoutaro just shrug "Hey don't worry I vouch for her and she just wants to try." he said to her only to be confused by how Barbi got really angry when looking at Diana who was praying to her gods.
"Lift me, Boreas. Let your wintery breath keep me aloft." As Diana finished her say she heard the coach calling her, looking up to see the confused looks she was getting before taking a breath to keep focus, taking a step she sprint full before performing a handspring onto the vault pad and vaulting over the astonish members and a glaring Barbi spinning a few times before sticking the landing with the same grace as Barbi but more perfect much to said girl's growing hatred for Diana.
As the girls ran up to marvel Diana's skills much to Barbi's annoyance while the coach looked just as astonish as the girls "Maybe we should have co-captains this year."
Barbi looked appalled "What? Absolutely not!" before she turns her head in disgust.
The coach simply shrugged "Okay. Congratulations, Prince! You're the new team captain." much to Barbi's shock as she watched the entire gymnastic club crowd around Diana who looked embarrassed by their praise.
As Barbi looked shock quickly turns to anger but it was short lived as she felt someone grabbed her shoulder "Hey don't take it too hard. I know how much you like taking the lead but maybe this time you don't have to handle everything yourself." Shoutaro said though it calmed her down a bit but it didn't completely snuff out her contempt for Diana. Shoutaro seeing this he looked concern "Barbara..." he said softly but she didn't hear him as she glares at Diana before walking away in a huff much to Shoutaro's concern.
"I hope she won't do something she'll regret." Before Diana grabbed his attention who was calling out to him.
(Math class)
Barbi now out of her gymnastic uniform she now wears a long-sleeve yellow jacket with cheetah spots on the fake fur on her sleeves, along with wearing a short red skirt and white high-heel boots. She's looking herself in her compact mirror after losing her captain position soured her time with Shoutaro, she must fix herself before meeting with him 'It's really been so long since we hangout maybe I can invite him after school.' she thought to herself with a smile until the teacher came with her results.
"Nice job, Barbi. Not too often you see a hundred percent in AP Calculus" the teacher praised much to Barbi's returning ego "Is what I'd be saying if it weren't for Diana over here." until she praised Diana instead much to Barbi's growing hatred for the foreign student. "A hundred and two percent. Incredible! That's a new school record." The teacher praised to the now embarrassed Diana who tries to downplay her achievement much to Barbi's growing anger.
Barbi growled before storming out of the classroom 'The nerve of her just because you aced one test doesn't mean I'm beaten, I need to cool off before meeting Sho chan, Oh maybe a pool party daddy's never home so maybe I can get him to come.' she felt a little better after finding an opportunity to invite someone she actually like in this school, now feeling better she walked to her next class with a little bit more happy than before.
(After School)
Barbi needs some people to make it less awkward to invite Shoutaro so she met with her usual "friends" in her expensive car "Hello, everyone! Pool party at my house!" she said a little excited as she thought about the boy she likes.
However her good mood soured at what her "friends" said next "Sorry, Barbi, we're gonna stay and help Diana and Shoutaro decorate for the dance." much to Barbi's shock.
She was even more shocked seeing Diana and Shoutaro appeared in the group "Join us. There will be camaraderie and merriment." after Diana's said her invite, the girls started to chatter among themselves all topics surrounds how cool Diana is, much to said girls embarrassment.
While the girls were chatting (Idolizing) Diana Shoutaro looked to Barbi who looked like she was abandoned "Barbi you really should come help out, who knows maybe you and Diana can be friends." Shoutaro said hoping to include her.
But Barbi wasn't listening as she growled then flooring her car off screaming in frustration 'Diana! Diana! DIANA! It's always Diana and now she took Sho Chan, SHE TOOK HIM!' she growled as she drove home looking for any thing to get rid off that pest.
Finally home she marched her way home her servants were about to welcome her home but seeing her raging look caused them to back away she stomped until trying to open a set of doors realizing it's lock she took a step back to see the sign [PRIVATE]. "Nice try, Daddy." she said softly before she ran and kicked the door open before marching in looking for anything to free her Sho Chan from her until she reached a her Daddy's collection of cursed items. "Too quick. Too humane. Too humorous." her eyes moved from one curse to another until she found what she wants picking up the golden feline statue with emeralds for eyes she chuckled to herself "Diana Prince, little miss perfect, well, I've got the perfect curse for the perfect girl." she smirked before she starts the chant "Woe to she in Cheetah's path, for she shall feel the Cheetah's wrath, by claw and fang, and with spite and hate, swift as wind, she'll seal your fate!"
After chanting the curse she waited until...nothing Barbi starts to shake it until she just threw the statue on the ground stomping away "Useless thing." she said before slamming the door shut never noticing the statues eyes glowing.
Barbi head to bed hoping a good night sleep will help her as she dream about her first time meeting the boy who she fell for.
(Metropolis High 1 year earlier.)
Barbi was driving to school in a not so fond mood 'He forgot again, He's always busy but can't he at least make time to see his own Daughter.' she growled but before she even stepped one foot in the school the intercom announce {Miss Barbara Minerva may you come to the principle's office, I repeat may Miss Barbara Minerva come to the principle's office please, thank you.} after the announcement the entire school start to murmur about if she got in trouble much to Barbi's already bad mood.
Barbi ignored the others talking about her as she made her way to the office until seeing a teen in a fedora napping in the chair she scoffed before walking into the office to meet principle Waller talking on the phone "You have my word mister Narumi that your apprentice and his partner will be giving their education." after hanging up she finally noticed Barbi standing patiently "Ah, Your here miss Minerva you might be wondering why I called you."
Barbi, like the majority of the school hold principle "Iron Wall" Waller as the most intimidating and the most strictest person on the school and like all the student body, she never want to be on her bad side, so she just nodded silently not wanting to say something she'll regret even if her mood was not as bitter than before.
"Your chosen to help our new student to acquaint himself to his new school and because you hold the highest scores in this school will help tutor our new friend to learn some English, is that understood?" Waller said in a tone that left no way to decline as she sternly looked to Barbi who was sweating bullets nodded hoping to get out of this office as soon as possible. "Good, he should be napping outside. I hope you get along"
Barbi hurriedly walked out and as the door closed did she sighed in relief before hearing a snort as the fedora wearing boy woke up 'Might as well get this over with.' she walked over to the teen holding her hand out with a very unfriendly look "I'm Barbara and I'm going to help you around the school."
The teen looked at her in confusion before grabbing her hand and shook it "Mai neimu isu Shoutaro Hidari, Ai houpu uwi uweeru bi furendsu." he said awkwardly as Barbi felt her migraine is about to start not realizing how much fun and laughter she will experience from this meeting.
(Present time Next day Metropolis High)
On a cloudy day the Teen Titans Civilians are walking towards where they are going to hold the school dance much to Diana's excitement "It is with great excitement I anticipate sharing what the decorating committee has done." she said as they kept walking.
"And it is with great excitement I anticipate the dance!" Babs said as she twirled on the spot before slipping due to the wet floor and landing in Shoutaro's arms.
"Careful Babs it looks like its going to rain again." Shoutaro said as he look to the cloudy skies.
Karen on the other hand felt nervous "But I don't know how to dance." and after the Livewire fiasco she doesn't feel like she wants to learn at least not yet.
Diana wanting to cheer her friend up said "Fear not, young Karen, for I possess dance moves that are rich with fleek. You're welcome to study them." as she showed some of her move.
Babs in her excitement unknowingly grabbed Shoutaro who was still holding her to dance her way through the door much to Shoutaro's embarrassment and the others amusement " Oh, yeah, oh, yeah , We're gonna tear it up,On Friday night " she sang until she dropped Shoutaro with a gasp as she saw what happened.
Shoutaro rubbed his head seeing the decoration torn as if a wild animal was let loose in the school "Wow, someone really doesn't want the dance to happen." Shoutaro said as he investigate the torn up decoration.
"Looks like someone already "tore it up."" Kara said as she looks around.
Jess looked to Kara unimpressed with the pun "That isn't funny, Kara."
Kara seeing how Jess reacted "Instead of cutting a rug, they cut the posters." makes her want to pun it up.
Jess again not amused "No, I mean, it's literally not funny."
Kara now wanting to annoy Jess even more "Maybe... Maybe the dance shouldn't have booked a band that shreds so hard." she said holding back her laughter at seeing Jess's expression.
"Kara!"
Ignoring her friends banter Diana joined Shoutaro who was checking some slash marks on some of the posters "This isn't knife marks it looks like claws?" Shoutaro said to Diana.
Diana hummed as she ponder what manner of creature could be loose in the school.
While they are investigating both can't help but feel like someone is watching them.
"Maybe we should clean this up before school starts." Shoutaro said to the others as he shake the feeling off, it might bite him in the ass soon but he doesn't have time to ponder.
Diana also feeling the same nodded "I would love to help but my responsibilities as captain means I must get ready for early practice, my apologies." she bowed her head wanting to help but can't.
Zee simply said "Oh it's alright Diana it's only clean up, nothing we can't handle but you should get going captain." as her friends smile along with her.
Diana also smiled as she made her way to the girls locker room but felt eyes on her the entire time. As she made her way to her locker opening it to grab her leotard all while looking around her surroundings, as she closed her locker she saw claw marks, gasping she took a step back before hearing a growl and something clutter to the floor she looked wary until she felt eyes behind her looking back all she saw was a shadow pouncing towards her.
(Back with the gang)
Kara is still torturing Jess with her puns much to said girl dismay "Guys, we better hurry before people think they've slashed the ticket prices."
"Kara!" Jess groaned as the group were almost finishing up.
But before they could finish they heard a scream in the girls locker room, as the girls rushed in, Shoutaro being the last to enter felt something drag him away before he could even make a sound he was knocked unconscious.
But the girls never noticed as they found Diana roughed up laying on the ground groaning Jess gasp as she picked her up in concern "Diana? What happened? Who did this to you?"
Diana rubbing her sore head try to remember what happened "I don't know. Something knocked into me. It came from nowhere."
Babs was also pondering until a thought caused her to gasp "Don't you see? Clearly, someone is suffering from having their status quo upended by Diana's arrival in Metropolis, and their crippling insecurity most likely caused by absentee parenting, and a lack of proper modeling in childhood, has unleashed a horrible ancient curse that has manifested itself in the form of some weird cat beast that's now stalking the perceived enemy which is Diana!" she finished her deduction as she pants to catch her breath before seeing the confused expression on her friends face she decides to elaborate "There's a monster on the loose!" she cried out waving her arms in exasperation 'really it isn't that hard to put it together.'
Jess nodded as she picks Diana up "Then we have to get you somewhere safe." before noticing something or rather missing "Where's Shoutaro?" getting the others to look around now in distress.
Babs gasp "Oh no maybe the monster grabbed him." getting the others to worry even more.
Kara now more determine to find this monster cracked her knuckles in her fist "Looks like this monster doesn't know who their messing with." she said in restrained anger.
"Whatever it is could be perilous to everyone here. We must find a way to evacuate our fellow students without causing them distress." Diana said as she try to think of some way to not cause a panic. Only for the fire alarm to go off.
They turn to see Kara who was next to the fire alarm looking back she smirked "What it's faster this way."
They heard the panic students ran out of the school Jess looked to Kara with some concern "What happened to "no distress"?"
Kara shrugged "Worked, didn't it?"
Diana shook her head before looking to the girls "Come, girls. Let the hunt begin." as everyone changed into their hero suits the light was cut off leaving the young heroines in the dark getting them all to gasp in surprise "We have much territory to cover. Let us split ourselves." Wonder Women declared but the others just stared at her.
"Split up." Supergirl corrected her.
Wonder Women nods "Yes, that." before the girls ran/flew in different directions.
(Library)
Green Lantern entered the library squinting her eyes she constructed a candle light but due to not having enough light she turned it to a flash light instead.
As she moves around trying to find the monster she felt movement behind her only to hear a meow, she sighed in relief "Oh, thank goodness. It's only a cat." before moving over to the trolleys with books "Come on out, kitty-kitty."
Green lantern called out but something feels wrong she turns around changing the flash light to now a lantern only to see a pair of emerald eyes before screaming in panic as the monster lunge for her with a growl.
(Hallway)
Batgirl now donned with her gadgets she walked through the halls looking at her Bat pad to account for where her friends are until she saw one of her friends icon starts to flash, she enhanced it to see a red dot going toward Green Lantern only for the dot to move away with Green Lantern's icon gone.
"That's weird." Batgirl whispered before gasping as the red dot is moving towards the bat icon, HER icon looking around she try to find where the monster is.
Now scared she grabbed a batarang waiting to see where the monster is going to appear, she kept backing away before looking down on her pad seeing it now jumping in one single direction before landing on top of her,
after backing one step she heard a rustle causing her to scream as she blindly threw her batarang.
After hearing a clang she peeked to see no one was behind her until she felt something pounced on her back as it growled. She screamed.
On the pad the bat icon disappeared as the red dot moved away.
(Cafeteria )
Zatanna floats around the cafeteria feeling anxious and the dark atmosphere and the lightning storm weren't helping either, but a flash of lightning reveal for a split second a green eyed shadow got her to spook before it disappeared.
Zatanna nerves were tense as she looks around before feeling eyes behind her as she spins around and blast a spell but she didn't hit anything only to hear a growl turning she saw the shadow crashing into tables creating a path to her.
So Zatanna in panic fired spell after spell non of them hit as the growling shadow speed it's way closer causing her panic to sky rocket as she blast a barrage of spells in desperation before finally flying away in fear not seeing the shadow slinking away to hunt a new prey.
(Principles Office)
Supergirl was glad that the principle is out because she doesn't want to see miss Iron Wall anytime soon, but her priority is on finding where her friend was taking hoping he isn't in danger "C'mon Shoutaro where are you." as she said that she heard the door closed after a growl behind her she hover in place looking around "Forget it, whatever you are. I have infrared vision, sucka." she said as she looks around before finding her target.
The monster growled before it started to dart around Supergirl who was trying to hit the shadow but Supergirl doesn't only have strength " You think you're fast? Well, I'm fast, too." she said before flying toward the monster who was not only fast but unpredictable so the only thing Supergirl can do is follow it.
Seeing the monster ran out of the office she soon follows it down the hallways until the shadow stood still "Got you now" before the shadow jumped up and the next thing Supergirl saw was a pink flash.
Zatanna was running trying to get away before seeing the emerald eyed shadow land in front of her and in panic Zatanna fired a spell, peeking through she saw Supergirl with a surprise look encase in her spell "Oh!" realizing her mistake before seeing the shadow rise behind her frozen teammate "oh." before screaming as the shadow lunge for her.
(Outside the Gymnasium)
Hearing the scream spooked Bumblebee "Zatanna?" she asked before shuffling along the wall before peeking over to see the shadow, before the monster could see her with a gasp Bumblebee shrank herself before flying into the Gymnasium and finding a place to hide.
The creature stalks in the room looking around before moving towards something, Bumblebee kept herself still until she heard something a groan and purring? With a combination of mustering courage and curiosity she peeked out and was surprised.
The shadow was cuddling up with someone on a mat and that someone is Shoutaro whose still unconscious, the shadow was over him purring all the while but when the shadow licked him Bumblebee panicked 'It's going to eat Shoutaro.' but her gasp got the shadows attention as it growls in her direction.
Bumblebee quickly hid now mustering up more courage "Phew! Okay. Okay, okay. Phew! Hero time!" she psyched herself up until she dove out firing stingers over and over all while screaming at the top of her lungs only to gasp at how close the creature is to her.
The monster shook off the stingers before growling at Bumblebee who was scared in place she didn't have time to react before the creature bit down on her.
After hearing the commotion in the gymnasium Wonder Women ran in until seeing the beast holding Bumblebee in its mouth Wonder Women shout out in anger "Get away from her, you..." before gasping as the creature rose along with the light showing a bipedal cat like creature with yellow fur and spots looking almost like a "Cheetah?"
Cheetah looks to Wonder Women with hatred as she spat Bumblebee away and with a growl she pounced on Wonder Women trying to slash the Amazon princess.
Wonder Women defends herself from the countless savage slashes being pushed back after every slash until Wonder Women found herself back into the wall, Cheetah leapt back crouching before with a growling roar she jump down to Wonder Women who braced her defense, but wasn't prepared to be grabbed as Cheetah ran in place using her hind claws mixed with her legs to shred Wonder Women.
Thankfully Wonder Women is protected from the onslaught thanks to her bracers but she needs to get this wild beast off her, so with a flex she threw off the Cheetah but was still attacked over and over from every side.
As Cheetah was darting around looking for weak spots Wonder Women saw the still rings hanging above Cheetah, so as Cheetah pounced at her Wonder Women ducked under the slash as she jump and swing from the still rings, but Cheetah was still in pursuit landing on the uneven bars before lunging off.
As Wonder Women swung around she sees someone rising from the mat but doesn't have time as Cheetah bounce off the wall onto the pommel horse than jumping up to Wonder Women who raised her self out of Cheetah's range.
Until they finally lands on the floor both staring each other down until they heard a groaned "What hit me? Where am I?" Shoutaro groaned as he looks up and was surprise by what is happening "Wonder Women? Eh nani kore Bakeneko?" Shoutaro said even more surprise to see Cheetah who was looking at him weirdly "Is she purring?"
Wonder Women looked happy to see Shoutaro smiled in relief "Shoutaro it's good to see your safe." but the angry growl and hiss took her attention back to Cheetah who looks even angrier than before.
Before pouncing in to Wonder Women in a savage scramble until Wonder Women grabbed on to Cheetah's tail seeing this Cheetah growls before taking off dragging Wonder Women who was still holding on, Shoutaro witness this shouts out "Let go of her tail!" hearing this Wonder Women does but she still crash into some equipments along the way.
Cheetah was panting staring angrily at Wonder Women who also glared back both seeing vaulting pads in front of them seeing this both took a breath.
Shoutaro can't help but see something familiar when those two closed their eyes but once they opened them they rushed towards each other roaring all the way until they vault up in to the air, while in the air the sun starts to shine out before blinding Shoutaro for a moment until hearing the two land opening his eyes he sees Wonder Women posing like she did during her try outs and Cheetah landing in a heap but she start to crawl away but before looking at him and he sees longing gaze from her eyes.
Wonder Women felt victorious as she starts to gloat "Well, Cheetah, it appears cats don't always land on their-"
Shoutaro cut her off "Uh, She escaped." he said rubbing his head as he felt like he's missing something.
Wonder Women open her eyes to see Cheetah missing than to a swinging door with a bit of panic Wonder Women rush to catch up with Shoutaro following close behind.
Once they rush in they heard a groan getting both to gasp in shock Wonder Women to quickly change back to Diana while Shoutaro rushed over to "Barbi!" Shoutaro cried in concern as he held her up he saw her eyes flutter open "Barbi are you hurt?" he said in concern.
Barbi looked up "Shoutaro." before wincing in pain before looking to Diana "Diana, stay away. The monster..."
Diana knelled down beside her "The Cheetah is gone, Barbi. You're safe now." Diana said in comfort.
But Barbi looked down "Oh, Diana, this is all my fault. I released the Cheetah."
Getting Diana to gasp Shoutaro asked "Barbi why?"
Barbi looked to Shoutaro before looking away "Because... I was jealous of her." getting sympathetic looks from both Diana and Shoutaro.
" You needn't be. One person's success does not preclude another's. Jealousy is a green-eyed monster that will consume you if you do not let it go." Diana said feeling like she might be the cause for the entire incident.
Shoutaro looked down seeing his friends downcast expression he simply said "No matter how alone you are I'll always be there." getting her to look up "Remember? After your fight with your dad and you told me to go away? But I never did and I never will." he said smiling at her as Barbi hugged him sniffing back a sob until they heard something crashed they looked to where it came from.
"The Cheetah." Diana said in alarm along with Shoutaro who held Barbi tighter.
Barbi still in his embrace decides to break away " Go, You two. I'm fine. Just go." but she held Shoutaro's hand for a while before letting go watching them ran out of sight.
(Back in the Gymnasium)
The two ran out now suited up only to gasp "Supergirl?" they questioned at the bizarre sight of their teammates all roughed up with only Supergirl being the exception but only frozen held up by Zatanna and Babs who saw Double and sighed in relief.
"She can't hear you." Babs said knowing how she reacted only for Zatanna telling her to stop asking.(She was in a panic you really can't blame her.)
"What happened to her?" Double said only to see Zatanna blushing in embarrassment.
"She'll be fine. In about seven hours. What about the monster?" Zatanna ask hoping to redirect the conversation.
Diana look to the others "She's escaped, for now, but surely, we will face her another day." she said knowing the Cheetah's hunt won't end in fact it only just begun.
(Back in the Locker Room)
Barbi grunted as she made her way to the sink "Let go of the green-eyed monster, eh, Diana?" she questioned as she washed her face "And why would I ever want to let go of this?" she stated as she open her emerald glowing eyes before looking down to her hand that once held Shoutaro "And Shou chan won't have to bother with Diana after this." she said sweetly before cackling in anticipation for her next hunt.
