Episode 10 #Fight At The Museum/Brawn against Guile

(Metropolis Jewelry Midnight)
Under a full moon the city is fast asleep, perfect for a young thief to make her move as she landed on the roof, looking through the skylight as she ascertain the place 'Compare to Gotham, Metropolis security is like a relaxing stroll through the park.' she thought as she cut open the glass before gently putting it aside.
The thief jumped in the cameras blind spot before scaling over to cut the lines disabling it before flipping down.
Landing with grace she looks around in suspicion as she pulled out a diamond shape bottle before spraying around revealing motion sensors set up all around the store 'Amateurs.' rolling her eyes as she slip between the sensors swiping any jewelry along the way.
After nabbing all the jewels she saw a shiny tiara in a glass case 'They may be amateurs but they have great taste.' the thief thought before slashing the glass to take the head piece setting up an alarm.
Finally in the light shows a cat themed villain wearing a gray form fitting cat suit with black clawed gloves, boots and belt that holds her whip like a tail and her dark skin is exposed out of the lower half of her mask showing a mischievous grin "A purr-fect fit." the thief said before hearing police sirens "Hmm. must've felt bored since there's no bat to play with." she giggled before running, it wouldn't be the same without the time limit after all the heist in Gotham is always exciting.
(Next Morning)
"Local jewelry store robbed, thief still at large." Shoutaro read the paper before hearing a buzzing in his pocket, after pulling up his phone to see a text [Monster attack in the city.] he sighed as he gets up as he made his way to the garage.
(Metropolis city)
A roaring hairy monster was wreaking havoc on top of the city building that is what Double saw until a blur followed by a "SUPERGIRL!" punching the monster far into the distance.
Double just stared until looking up at Supergirl who saw him as she flew down "What was that?" Double asked due to what he just saw.
Supergirl just looked proud "That's my catchphrase, what do you think."
"You just said your name that wasn't a catchphrase." Double said with a sigh.
Supergirl looked a little offended "Oh, so only you can have a catchphrase and not me?"
Double tilted his head "I don't have a catchphrase." though the disbelief look on her face seem to disagree with him.
"Are you kidding? that whole count up your sins thing, is your catchphrase."
Double just stared at her "That wasn't a catchphrase that was just something the boss use to say when he catch the culprit."
"THAT'S A CATCHPHRASE!" Supergirl shout out scaring Double for a second before she drops it with a huff "Whatever at least I punch that hairy creep and saved the day." she said feeling happy about her accomplishments.
Double looked to where the monster flew "50300 miles a new record." Double's right side said.
"Huh, Felt like it should be further..." Supergirl said before noticing Double looking pass her turning around to see her friends just staring disapprovingly "What?"
(Next day)
A giant robot starts to cause trouble as it stomps it's way through the city but the Teen Titans stood in it's way
Wonder Women stood ready "We must be wary of his weapon. It appears to be capable of great surges of electrical-"
"Y'all are way overthinking this." Supergirl interrupted as she loosen up before flying toward the robot shouting "SUPERGIRL!" as she punched robot toward the distance chuckling as she looked back but still saw the sane disapproving looks she got yesterday "What?"
(Next day Sweet Justice)
Shoutaro was drinking his coffee as he has some files and photos in front of him looking through the picture "Almost every Jewels were taken but not the money, maybe they were just aiming for the jewels?" as he looked at the picture of the case that use to hold a tiara "All the missing Jewel cases were swiped out without triggering the alarm except this one." but before he could ponder some more he heard an enthusiastic Whoo! followed by a couple of annoyed groans.
As he turns around to see Kara and the others making their way in but only Kara has a bowl of death by chocolate in her hand before sitting next to him "Today's been awesome I get to punch monsters and robots!" she said oblivious to the stares she was getting from the girls as she eats "Sho wat [gulp] your looking at?" She said before grabbing another mouth full.
"Just some pictures about a break in at the local Jewelry store nothing much, seems like you're enjoying yourself."Shoutaro said as he looked at Kara stuffing her face non stop.
Kara nodded but before she could say anymore Zee who was also sitting there said "You've been, uh, enjoying yourself a lot lately, haven't ya?" she sound a bit annoyed due to being sidelined along with her friends for the few days.
Shoutaro looked to Zee "Still using the "Catchphrase"?" getting a nod from her as he clean up the table before some chocolate drips on it
Kara ignored that as she sits back "Oh, you mean how I've totally been rocking it?" her good mood was stopped as a chess board was placed in front of her.
"Kara, we must talk." Diana said before gesturing everyone else to leave the table.
As everyone left the table Kara groaned "Why you gotta ruin everything with nerd stuff?" Kara slumped as she looked down at the board.
Diana sat down across from her "Your methods in our recent bouts have been... effective, but over time, it is strategy and teamwork that will win the day." she said hoping that Kara would get the message.
Kara gave a mocking confused look "Strategy and teamwork? Oh! You mean "overthinking it."" Diana gave an unamused look before moving a whit pawn, Kara decides to play along "All right, fine. If I beat all those monsters, I can definitely beat you." she said as she moved he black knight.
As those two are going with their chess match a new customer made her way into the Sweet Justice she is a classy looking teen with short dark purple/black hair with light purple highlights, dark magenta eyes, light brown skin, and wears a small long-sleeve crop top black jacket, with a white shirt underneath. She also wears diamond-like earrings, bracelets, and necklace, a dark violet oval-like belt, black pants with grey boots.
As she made her way in as she survey the room but not seeing anyone worth pick pocketing she just made her way to the counter placing her order "Tea with cream. Hold the tea." as she said her order, the blond teen seem to squirm before running off to get her order 'How adorable.' she thought before picking up a chocolate bar to then grab some of the other treats, but before she can take the whole thing a shout from behind scared her a bit.
"I don't believe it. They've got a Treasures from Space exhibit at the Science Lexplorium." looking behind she sees a group of teens looking at a poster with a silent whew she eavesdrop "Wow. Gemstones from far reaches of the universe! They must be worth a fortune."
The girl leaned on the counter with interest in her eyes "Ooh, a fortune, eh?" she said to herself before seeing the boy returned with her order so with a playful rowl she sauntered away but not before stealing a mug behind everyone.
Back with the girls Diana has taken every piece from Kara who only took a few pawns and a bishop " You are now in check, Kara. This is why you must learn to think strategically, to anticipate my next several moves." Diana said as she encourage Supergirl to think her way out.
Kara looked at Diana before getting an idea out of her predicament "Why would I need to anticipate your moves when I can just do... this?" she said mischievously before flicking her finger that was under the board and fling it across the room.
Babs was minding her business having her ice cream before she was tugged out of the way leaving her ice cream to spin in the air as the chess pieces juggle it before splatting by the board afterwards looking at who saved her she saw Shoutaro who sighed in exasperation "Your okay?" Babs nodded.
Diana was shocked not anticipating that while Kara gloat "Mm. Checkmate. Did you anticipate that?"
Before Diana could respond Shoutaro pipes in "Hai Diana no Kachii." getting confused looks from the two but he ignored it "Kara using brute force might work on some things but in most cases brute force will more than likely hurt you than help." he said but Kara didn't seem to care.
"Yah, ya whatever, look I'm gonna head to the Lazarus pit you wanna come with?" she asked her friends but non of them seem interested "Guess not. See you tomorrow." she waved as she left as the other just looked concern for their reckless friend.
(Lazarus Pit Mid Night)
Kara was having a fun time but it's time to call it a night as she and some of her punk friends left after another great show "That was so killer! My ears are still ringing!" said one of her friends, but just as she said that Kara heard a sound of glass shatter.
Kara stopped after hearing that "Yeah. Mine, too." she looked to her fellow punks who stopped to notice her "Hey, I gotta go see ya next week." she said as she walked away.
"Cool, see ya Kara!" said one of the punks before walking away "Hey you think she's seeing anyone?"
(The Lexporium)
As Supergirl flew toward the science building and she saw where the glass shatter came from "What kind of criminal breaks into this place? Captain Nerd Face?" she chuckles to herself as she pulled out her phone as she has her teams contacts "Should I... Nah. They'll just overthink it" but she thought against it before flying down "All right, nerd. Show yourself." Supergirl called out.
"Only one of you?" a voice said before a they start to chuckle before walking out into the light "Here I was, fretting my heist might go south if the Teen Titans showed up. But lucky me. I just got the dumb one." revealing the thief who smirked down at the young Supergirl.
Supergirl scoffed "Dumb? Okay, listen, whiskers If I'm so dumb and I'm gonna catch you, then what does that make..." while Supergirl was gloating she turned away for a second but as she turns back the thief was gone "you?" she finished softly after being caught off guard.
"Catch me and find out." the thief said in a playful tone from the shadow.
Supergirl growled in annoyance before flying up to one off the exhibits [Parade of Planets], making her way in searching for the thief "Here, kitty, kitty."
"Here, dummy, dummy." the thief taunted, Supergirl in annoyance flew up to the thief who ducked away losing sight of her but her chuckle got her attention.
As Supergirl flew back she saw the thiefs tail climbing one of the planets "Hmm. Ha! [groans]" Super girl flew up to punch the thief who darts around the planets showing how slippery she is much to Supergirl's frustration "Stand still!" she shouted before diving down to the thief who slipped through the asteroid model but catching Supergirl instead.
"Give it up, Puss in Boots." Supergirl said before she flexed breaking out of the model "All I gotta do is get my hands on you, and it's game over."
"Ooh, a game." the thief said as she perch herself on the earth "Cats love to play." she said as she flexed her fingers showing claws, with a mischievous smirk and a mreow she cut the cord holding the world.
Supergirl gasp at the incoming planet she braced herself before catching it, she sighed in relief before hearing the mocking tone of the thief.
"Poor thing. The weight of the world is on your shoulders." The thief said as she used her whip to swing around before slashing at more cords holding the planets "Mars, Saturn, Jupiter, Neptune, Uranus." she named after every slash while Supergirl struggle after catching each planet, the thief stopped on just one with a puzzled look "Planet or no? Ah, who cares? [laughing maniacally]" she laughed as she slash the last one that tipped the whole thing as Supergirl tripped over dropping the whole solar system on her.
Dropping down thief smirked "So long, Solar Sister." she said as she saunters off laughing at her.
Supergirl growled under the exhibit before pushing it off and flying out to see the thief going into the [Tour of Taxidermy], Supergirl flew in after her but seeing the place filled with animal props she slowed down trying to find her, but everytime she turns to see a feline shape she almost punch it, she looks around looking lost "The family resemblance is uncanny." after hearing the thief she looked next to her to see a caveman looking lost.
Offended and frustrated she flew towards where she heard the voice before punching through... a stuffed saber tooth tiger "Dang it. Huh?" she looked up to see that didn't just punch the cat as the glass case holding a giant squid starts to crack.
The thief looks down chuckling mischievously "Hope you like calamari." she said teasingly before hoping away leaving Supergirl to look in horror as the cracks start to grow until it burst washing Supergirl back out who screamed the whole way.
After the unpleasant ride Supergirl pops out shuddering before she wipes off the slime screaming "Ew! Ew, ew, ew, ew, ew, ew, ew, ew, ew, ew!" but hearing the mocking laugh got her to forget about the grossness as anger took over, Supergirl flew into the [Marvel of Magnets] "That's it!" Supergirl said as she stops to see the thief waiting on a lever while checking her nails, now fully ticked off Supergirl grabbed a metal ball "I'm not playing around anymore!" as she intends to chuck it at her.
But the thief doesn't seem concern "I am." she said as she pulled the lever activating the magnet that dragged a surprised Supergirl towards it as she struggle to get it back she saw the other metal balls coming towards her.
After pulling herself from the mound of magnetic balls she lost sight of the thief growling angrily she flew around looking for the thief until she saw her in the [Caldarium of Currents] humming under a tesla coil, noticing Supergirl the thief waved getting her more riled up as Supergirl flew to take down the thief only to be shocked by the coils.
The thief chuckled before sauntering into the [Cavacade of chemistry] who looked at all the valves she turns them releasing the gas before sauntering off.
Supergirl finally out of her earlier shocking situation starts to march after her really really ticked off " [in high voice] I've had just about enough of you!" before stopping in place holding her mouth not believing how she sounded still angry she continued "You can't [low voice] make a fool out of me!" also stopping as she cover mouth again before she starts to growl in that low tone as she saw the thief looking herself in a compact mirror, thoroughly done with her eyes starts to glow before firing her heat vision at the thief who used the mirror to reflect it towards the balloons and remembering how gas are flammable and she just walk through said gas Supergirl can only say one thing "Oh, come o-" BOOM!

The thief saunters in before her eyes glow at all the gems on display "Mreow. Looks like I'm the cat who got the cream." she said as she admire the crystals only to be interrupted by explosions going off turning around she sees Supergirl more roughed up than ever and more angry than ever.
Supergirl glares at the thief " I'm so mad I can't even think of more cat puns!" she shouted before flying full speed at the thief who jumped in fright before running away with Supergirl hot on her tail making their way to the [Treasures from Space].
As the thief vaulting and sliding over and under the exhibits to slow down the irate Supergirl who just bust through them the thief finally found herself cornered she looks around before jumping behind the metal box "Please, stop! Don't you know you shouldn't corner a cat?" she begged.
But Supergirl was too angry after being squashed, gooped, crushed, shocked and exploding she had enough "I'm gonna corner you, and then I'm gonna un-corner you, and I don't even know what that means!" she screamed as she breaks the thief's cover leaving the cat burglar prone on the ground "So, who's the dumb one now?" Supergirl said huffing after her whole ordeal.
The thief's face at first was scared turns smug "Still you." she said as she pulls out a glowing green rock.
Supergirl was first confused felt weak all of a sudden as she struggled to stand "[grunts] Wha... What is that?" Supergirl said feeling scared and for the first time before coming to earth, Helpless.
The thief answered for her "Oh, this old thing? Just a chunk of your home planet. Apparently, it sucks away all of your superpowers. Haven't heard of it? It's called Kryptonite." she said as she gave the young Kryptonian a closer look getting her to whimper as weakness took over Supergirl who collapsed on the floor "Poor little mouse. You walked right into my trap." the thief said before grabbing Supergirl by her hair and pulled her back to the entrance but not before swiping almost every gems and valuables along the way.
(Shoutaro's Detective Firm aka His Home)
Shoutaro after going through the did see something in one of the pictures claw marks at first he was worried it was Cheetah but shook the idea away, Cheetah doesn't seem interested in anything shiny if she was she would've taken Green Lanterns ring, but looking at the scene he conclude this was done by someone who likes to take jewelry but isn't interested in money 'Meaning this thief is only after a challenge and the jewels were the reward.' he thought he just need one piece and he know only one person that has it.
Grabbing his Stag phone and dialing for a moment someone picked up [Who is this?] "Sashiburi na Knight."[The apprentice I heard you were in Metropolis did Skull need anything.] "Iya iya I'm just calling because Poison Ivy might not be the only one who left Gotham."[Yes I heard and maybe I know who it might be. Tell me was anything stolen in the past week.]
(Back at the Lexporium)
Supergirl struggles but unable to fight back she's fully helpless, the thief seeing this starts to gloat and explain how she pulled all this off "Such a purr-fect plan, if I do say so myself. You see, Supergirl, I knew this little beauty would be your greatest weakness. Just like I knew you would be the one coming tonight. I knew you'd hear me smash the skylight. I knew you wouldn't see what was inside that lead-lined case. And I knew only you would be strong enough to smash it. In a way, we're sort of... partners in crime. Don't you think?" the thief finished with a boop on Supergirl's nose showing how confident she was until hearing a beeping sound coming from Supergirl.
As the thief searched for the phone much to Supergirls weak protest she found it with a stylized W on call, with a smirk the thief cut the call before pulling the phone away when Supergirl tries to grab it "Ah-ah-ah. Only two partners in this caper." she said as she placed the phone on one of the giant chess piece "Here's your cut of the loot." before returning and placing the kryptonite on Supergirls head before she saunters over her bags of loot "I'll just have to make do with the rest. Ta-ta, my dear." the thief finished with a laugh before running off not seeing a pearl roll out and onto the floor.
Supergirl grunts in effort but nothing else as the kryptonite drains her more and more "I can't... believe this is how it's going to end. Powerless," she laments as her cousin's back came to her mind "friendless," her friends laughing with her as she focused on Shoutaro for some reason. "surrounded by nerd stuff.." before she snaps back to reality "Wait... I'm surrounded by nerd stuff."
Supergirl looked to her surroundings seeing gears, a hot air balloon, a t-rex bones, a giant ball pendulum, some lined up dominoes, the chess pieces lined up and finally the single pearl, After seeing the whole thing she can't help but remember Diana's words "You are now in check, Kara. This is why you must learn to think strategically, to anticipate my next several moves." taking her words to heart as with as much effort she could afford she carefully lined up her shot...before nudging it.
As Supergirl watched as the pearl slowly rolled towards the gears until it was under it, Supergirl holding her breath in anticipation until the gears was stopped by the pearl, as the gears are stopped from turning but still need to move caused the gears to fling off as one of the gears cut the balloons string causing said balloon to float up to the pterodactyl model and pops it, causing the balloon to wiz around knocking into the dinosaur fossil that clatters down into the pendulum setting off the dominoes, which knocks into the chess pieces which flung her phone into the air.
"Yes! Checkmate, sucker!" Supergirl cheered weakly before seeing her own phone coming towards and since she is weakened by the kryptonite one word crossed her mind 'uh,oh.' SLAM
"Oooooooow!" Supergirl felt her phone fell to the floor but she was on the verge of crying due to being in so much pain "Why does pain hurt so much? How do people live like this?" she whined as she calls her friends [Kara are you there!?] came Shoutaro's voice followed by [Kara you won't believe this one of Batman's rogues, besidesIvy, is in METROPOIS!] came Babs voice "Guys...I need...help." Supergirl manage to say but before she blacked out she heard Shoutaro's [We'll be there hang on Kara.]
(Later on some roofs)
The thief jumped from roof to roof until stopping to look to the city "Haah. It was fun messing with the Super jr but it's no Gotham..." she said as she remembers her exciting chase from the Dark Knight but Gotham just became too dangerous lately especially after Judge came into the picture "But on the bright side this place is the cat's meow." she said as she looks to all her loot until a shadow cast over her.
Turning around she saw Supergirl hovering over "Going somewhere?" her taking a step back she found herself surrounded by the rest of the Teen Titans "Catwoman, I'd like you to meet my real partners. My friends. Who were, like, really nice to save my butt after I've been such a jerk lately." getting the girls give her a it's fine look (Double is more a shrug) before glaring back at Catwoman.
Catwoman looked briskly around before she did the most unexpected thing she threw her bag of loot up in the air causing everyone to look up until it lands in Batgirls hands before turning to see Catwoman to leap off the roof.
With some gasp they looked over the edge and was surprised that she disappeared Supergirl looked annoyed though "Yeah, she does that." before looking towards the others sheepishly "So... I'm really sorry for the whole one girl show boating and I'm sorry I didn't listen to you Diana."
"It is fine Kara we all make mistakes but whether learn from it is up to you and I'm proud that you did." Wonder Woman said.
Supergirl smiled at that before turning to Double "Where did you put that kryptonite?" she asked worried about the radioactive rock.
Double reassured her "It's in better hands Kara you don't have to worry, oh and you should really change that catchphrase you don't really need to shout that."
Supergirl looked defensive about that "What? My catchphrase is awesome right guys?" though everyone just looks away or shaking their heads " alright fine, everyone's a critic."
(Down the streets below)
Catwoman now in her civilian clothes walked down the streets "Hmph. Now I have to get a new bag." she said after loosing one of her bags it may not be her favorite one but it still stinks to lose it, as she snaps her collar of her jacket she looked up to where the Titans were and she smirked "And then, I've gotta get some new friends." she said as she continues "Metropolis might be more interesting than I thought Rowl."
(Somewhere in Gotham)
"C'mon we gotta get out of here." one thug said impatiently in the drivers seat until he saw his cohorts breaking out of a joint before getting in the car "Finally you guys took too long, who knows what might show up!"
One of the thugs took off his mask "Calm down Lou nothing gonna hurt us not even the Bat can handle what were packing." the thug said holding a Memory but before his partner could say anymore the car stopped getting some grunts from the others "The hell Lou don't just stop on a dime like that." but he noticed the frightened look on his face turning around her saw a cloaked figure in the middle of the road at first he thought it was Batman but seeing the red gauntlet holding his thumb sideways got him even more scared.
"H-h-h-he's here!" Lou said stuttering in fear as the figures thumb turned slightly "H-h-h-he's really h-h-here..."
Lou stutters out before seeing the thumb points down did his fear rose new heights "JUDGE!" was all he could say before flames covered him along with the other thugs leaving only the Gaia Memory on the floor before it was picked up by the same red hands who then walks away.
