Episode 13 #Illusions Of Grandeur/ The Sham the Fan and the Magician.

(Metropolis city Theater)

We hear a cheering crowd from the Theater where a well known and well respected Master of Magic Giovanni Zatara who wore a black magicians outfit with purple on the inside of his hat and cape as well a purple vest.

He bowed towards the cheering audience where we find two unlikely duo "I can't believe Zee gave us the best seats to the show! Can you believe it?" Karen said who was invited because she is a fellow member of the drama club and Zee's friend so she was giving a ticket.

"Not really but now I know where she got her flair." Shoutaro said who was also giving a ticket "Good thing Philip isn't here, would be a pain if he got interested in magic. Again."

Giovanni looked to the crowd as he smiles "Thank you, thank you. Please, a round of applause for my charming daughter." Giovanni said as he turns to his daughter wearing a cute pink assistant outfit with a pink bow as she waves to the crowd before seeing her friends she winked at them getting Karen to clap faster and Shoutaro to dip his hat as his face turns red.

"And now ladies and gentlemen, we've come to my final trick of the evening." Giovanni said as he placed his hat back on his head before looking to the enthralling crowd "A trick so risky, so daring, that the squeamish among you may want to look away." he said as the audience waited in anticipation "Tonight, I will make my lovely assistant... disappear." he finished as he conjures up a box while Zee presents it by opening and showing everyone that their is no openings or trick doors as she push on the walls.

Once done Zee steps into the box giving everyone one last smile before the box closed which to the crowds gasp floats up while Giovanni starts to chant "Spirits beyond. I summon thee here. Heed my command. Make this girl disappear." as the audience were starstruck by the ever spinning box as arcane wind blows out towards the crowd before stopping abruptly before opening showing the assistant gone "Behold." getting gasp before a cheer rang out as Giovanni bowed happy they like his final act.

(Backstage)

Zee steps out of her portal downtrodden with a sigh, don't get her wrong she loves being in her daddy's show but sometimes she wished she could show her own magic trick to her own adoring audience, pulling down her bow she looked to her father bowing towards the crowd with a satisfied smile and she imagine herself in his place smiling at her fans and friends giving her the happiest smiles she could imagine.

"Whats wrong Honey did you not like the final act maybe we should change it and get you to join me when curtain close." Zee's dad said concern if he sidelined his daughter too much during his act.

Zee shook her head "No, no I'm fine Daddy really its just I was wondering when is it going to be my turn on the stage."

Giovanni concern turns to a smile as he hugs his daughter "Zee you know only you can make that decision and it's up to you to perform your very best and when you do I'll be their giving you a standing ovation." getting his daughter to giggle.

"Oh, Daddy I invited my friends to the show so I was hoping to invite them over?" Zee said.

Giovanni nodded "Of course Zee let me get the car ready and you can bring your friends for a girls night." he said though what he heard next caused him to stop.

"Oh, Shoutaro's a boy so I don't think this will count as a girls night." Zee said before walking out to grab her friends.

"Whose Shoutaro?" Giovanni said stiffly.

(Zatara resident.)

(Zee's room)

"That was amazing, Zee." Karen said still in awe from Giovanni's performance, Zee on the other hand just nods dismissively as she clean off her make up, "I can't believe this is your life. You're, like, a total star." Karen continues still starstruck.

Zee sighed "Yeah, well..." she said tiredly as she grabs her brush.

"And the fact that you've spent your whole life traveling the whole world entertaining people with your dad, it's so cool." Karen continue her giggling fit as she turns to Zee.

Zee kept brushing her hair looking lackluster "Hmm... Indeed."

Karen now cupping her face to contain her excitement "You're seriously the biggest celebrity I know."

Zee put her brush down with a frown "Maybe. But I'm about to be even bigger." before smiling as she stood up and away from her vanity mirror.

Karen now looked confused "What do you mean? [gasp] You're not leaving the act, are you?" Karen than went into worried at the notion.

Zee now behind her changing screen waved her hands dismissively "What? Of course not. That would break poor Daddy's heart." as she went behind the screen to change out off her assistant clothes "But I am working on my own act. One day people will know the name, Zee Zatara." she proclaim as she step out in her magician clothes as she puts her hats on with a flourish "And that, my dear Karen, is where you come in."

"What?" Karen said before putting the puzzle together "Wait you gave me the ticket to make me your assistant?" right as she said this she freaked "No,nonononono not happening I can't I'm not sure I can even do it right." Karen frets until she felt a hand on her shoulder.

Zee looked at her friend with an encouraging smile "Come now Karen you will do great, plus I'll be doing the hard part you're just going to assist me with my magic act."

Karen calmed down but still nervous "O-okay but if you want me to be an assistant than what about Shoutaro?"

"Oh he will be our announcer even I know you get stage fright when in front of a crowd so you'll just be helping me with the act instead of getting the crowds attention." Zee said getting Karen to sigh in relief but still not comfortable but at least better than before, though Zee starts to look around as if she just noticed something missing "Speaking of darling where is he?"

(Zatara Living room)

Shoutaro was nervous as he sat across from Zee's father staring a hole through his head, why is he here? That's what he wants to know one moment he was with his friends than poof he is now staring at a glaring magician who is sitting with his fingers intertwine and is staring right at his soul 'WHAT IS HAPPENING!?'.

"What is your relation to my daughter?" Shoutaro was shook out of his panic by Giovanni's question.

"Eh?, ah I'm just her friend." Shoutaro said but he jumped back as Giovanni got in his face.

"Are you really just friends your not HER BOYFRIEND ARE YOU?" Giovanni growled as he's right in Shoutaro's face.

'Chikai chikai chikai' Shoutaro leaned back from the intimidating look he was receiving "She's not my girlfriend! She's jus-"

"Are you saying my Darling daughter isn't good enough to be your GIRLFRIEND." Giovanni's face warped in anger at his response.

'Aah mendokusai kimi wa oya baka ka?' Shoutaro leaned back even more "I'm not saying she isn't good enough it's just we're not in that sort of relationship."

"RELATIONSHIP?"

'Ah mou!'

(One misunderstanding later)

Shoutaro was huffing in exhaustion while Giovanni calmed down "So your really just a friend?"

Shoutaro nods "Yes, we're friends though she does like to tease me." Shoutaro said as he scratch the back of his head.

"Are you bragging?" Giovanni once again releasing his fury.

"Iye iye iye not at all really!" Shoutaro quickly said as he waves his hands, he sighs after Giovanni relents.

Giovanni looked to Shoutaro trying to decipher if he would do anything to his little girl but finding non he sighed "I apologize for my earlier behavior, after her mother passed away it was up to me to raise her and it's really hard to let her go. I dread the day she will get married." Giovanni said as he conjures some tea to sooth his nerves "Would you like some?" Giovanni offered but Shoutaro declined "So you see I might be a little protective of my little Zee."

Shoutaro nodded "She's really something but you shouldn't worry, your daughter made some good friends and she's smart enough to not fall for a bad crowd." Shoutaro said.

Giovanni nods with some pride "Of course my Zee is my greatest pride and joy she can handle any crowd in any circumstance but she does gets a little distracted when doing her tricks but that is just her charm!"

Shoutaro once again leaned back but instead of being intimidated like before he is now smothered by Giovanni's parental love for his child.

"Daddy stop your embarrassing me!" Both turned to the shout showing a red faced Zee who pouted at her father it seemed like she came in during her fathers bragging "I was wondering where Shoutaro is and I find him with you doing ...this."

"Sorry dear I was just talking with your friend but I got a little carried away." Giovanni said slightly embarrassed with himself.

Zee narrowed her eyes before letting it go as she turns to Shoutaro "Oh Shoutaro would you like to stay the night here?"

Shoutaro looked to a glaring Giovanni before looking back "No, I think it's time I get back, thanks for the ticket the show's great." Giovanni puffed his chest in pride while Zee looked slightly disappointed.

"Oh, no matter but remember to meet us at the pier at 8 AM understand." Zee said sternly getting Shoutaro to nod as he made his way to the elevator "I'll see you tomorrow Darling!" She waved as the door closed leaving her and her dejected father? "Whats the matter Daddy?"

(Next Day at the Pier)

Karen groaned as she adjust her pink tutu before seeing Zee walked up to Shoutaro who was holding a megaphone with a confused look 'Right, we didn't tell him did we?'

Shoutaro looked at the megaphone in his hands before looking at Zee who is in her performance clothes "Did you just call me to get the crowd?"

Zee nods "I was thinking Karen can handle it but thought better of it and decided that you should do it instead." Shoutaro just gave her a blank stare before a slip of paper pushed up to his face "Oh, and I written down your lines."

Shoutaro looked at his script before pointing at one of them "What is Presti... tation?" He might have learned the language for a whole year but it doesn't make him an expert "How do you even pronounce this?"

Zee looked at what he was struggling with before answering "Prestidigitation Darling it means performing tricks of magic dear." getting Shoutaro to nod before giving an OK showing he read the whole thing, Zee nods as she stride towards her position beside a nervous Karen.

Shoutaro sighed before pulling the megaphone up 'Saa, Showtime.' "Prepare yourselves ladies and gentlemen, for an experience unlike any other. This is the great and powerful Zee Zatara, Princess of Prestidigitation. Daughter of the mystic arts and Master Sorceress Supreme!" Shoutaro announce as he hams it up a bit "Witness her Magic of Illusions and Wonder and be amazed as she opens the door to worlds you can't even imagine!"

"Wow he's good I didn't even wrote the last part." Zee said as she watch Shoutaro tries to grab the crowds attention but only to find non "Huh?" before looking to Karen with the same questioning look.

Shoutaro also notice that he was ignored before seeing a crowed form across from them.

Curious all three made their way to the crowd to see what got their attention.

What they saw is a young man in a blue button shirt with its sleeve torn off tucked into skinny black jeans which is tucked into some boots, he also wore a loose metal belt around his pants, a metal choker and earrings, he also wore some fingerless black gloves, his hair is styled with blue highlights, he has a soul patch on his chin and he is wearing a very thick blue eye shadow.

"Wow, Zee, he wears more eye shadow than you." Karen said not seeing a offended glare from Zee.

The magician kept the crowds attention as he performs a very basic coin trick "All right. Look, look. Right here. Eyes on me. Ready? Heads or tails?" he said as he kept her attention on the coin in one hand as he digs in his pocket with his other.

"Um Heads." the volunteer said.

Hearing that he grab the coin he needed before throwing the coin up while pocketing the real coin before anyone notice except two did.

"Did you see that? He totally switched hands." Zee said appalled by the performance.

Shoutaro nodded "And he was obvious about it."

While the crowd was wowed by the cheap act Zee looked disappointed "Ugh. A double-headed coin? Really? How uninspired. What's he going to do next, the detachable thumb trick?" she said sarcastically only for Karen to point back at the hack doing just that, with an eye twitch she face palm "You have got to be kidding me."

The hack decides his next trick a card trick "All right. Pick a card, any card. Go ahead. Go ahead." as the volunteer pulled a ace of spade and showing the crowd before putting the card back "Uh-huh. Okay, ready?

Watch this. Watch." the hack said as he puts the card away and curled up for anticipation "Ready? Wait for it... Is this your card?" he said as he pulled his shirt apart showing a ace of spade tattoo getting a the volunteer to swoon.

"Okay this getting boring." Shoutaro said and he should know Philip showed him magic tricks both complex and simple during his research and he know a sham when he sees one.

Zee on the other hand is more irritated than anything "That isn't magic. You're nothing but an overly-leathered, flimflam man." Zee said taking his deck of cards and throw them out to show they are all the same card "See?"

The third rate magician was getting nervous and flinch when the crowed gasp "He's turned them all into aces of spades." getting him to look shock at how dumb the crowd is and he showed the detachable thumb trick "He's incredible." now he looked at the girl smugly.

Shoutaro face palm "This is so stupid..." he said exasperated before noticing Zee looking even more miffed "Uh Zee?"

Zee just marched up to the hack "Ugh! That is not magic. This is magic." she said pointing at the man wearing a Hawaiian shirt "thearw srewolf!" causing the flower design to disappear getting the man to look confused before a woman beside him is suddenly holding a bouquet of flowers, she looked surprised and look to the man who looked away bashfully.

Zee turns to a bald man and points her wand to him "eceapriah!" and he suddenly sprouted luscious blond locks of hair who touched his hair and smiled giggly, he has hair again now he can finally go see his daughter who works as a beautician.

Zee throw some confetti into the air "naf yawa!" causing the confetti to turn into butterflies and flew threw the crowd getting some to look in awe and others to see if they were real "Ta-da!".

The hack starts to squirm but he kept his cool.

"Fake." someone said getting Zee to look shock as she was bombarded by the crowd.

"You could learn a thing or two from Ace of Spades."

"I love his magic."

"It's so raw, so real."

Zee looked to the crowd then seeing Ace flipping his hair smugly "Raw and real?"

Ace looked to Zee "Yeah and maybe you should learn a thing or two." he said as he walked off.

Zee starts to glare at him "Raw and real? Oh, I'll give him raw and real." Zee growled as she starts to glow with magic getting Karen to look concern.

"Uh, Zee?" Karen said as she steps back.

Zee looked to Ace with anger as she points her wand at him "ees yvne sith!" she cast her magic towards her ire and struck Ace in the back.

Ace felt a itch in his back before continuing his act with another volunteer "All right. Look. Watch. Eyes on me. Is this your card? Ta-da!" pulling his shirt apart he was met with a gasp.

"Uh, that's not even a card." Ace looked down and gasp 'My tattoo!' he sees his tattoo changed from an ace of spade to a gremlin face "What kind of magician are you?" she said as she walks away while Ace covered his tattoo with a confused look.

The Karen looked shocked at what Zee did while Zee just smirk "So... who wants ice cream?" she said as she made her way to get some.

Karen still in shock points to Ace before sighing but before she followed she notice someone missing "Huh? Where is Shoutaro?"

Ace looks bewildered "What happened to my tattoo my awesome tattoo just changed." he panic before hearing a growl "Uh..." startled he looks around before another growl caused him to look in his shirt "What?" before a gremlin popped out causing him to cry in fright before the gremlin dives back into his shirt getting him to panic more feeling like something is trying to pull themselves out of him causing him to stumble around "What is happening!" he screamed before he passed out as wave after wave of gremlins sprout out from the tattoo.

(While with the girls.)

We see Karen sit awkwardly looking at Zee who distractedly pokes the ice cream like she's trying to distract herself "So, uh, back there it was, uh..." Karen try to say to break the silence.

"I know. A complete disaster." Zee said as she drops her spoon as she laments about her failure.

Karen seeing how depressed Zee is she tries to encourage her "No, I-"

But Zee kept her lamenting "I just want to show the world what I can do. The kind of magician I really am." Zee said before sitting back down to poke her ice cream "I just want to touch an audience." she sighed sadly.

Karen look to Zee encouragingly "Don't worry, Zee, I bet someday you'll be known the world over as the greatest magician of them all."

Zee looks back up "You really think so?"

Karen nods "Yeah. I really do. And Shoutaro would say the same thing."

Zee smiled feeling better before realizing someone missing "Where is darling?" but before she could find her answer, something lands in their ice cream splashing them with the destroyed dessert causing both girls to scream in disgust as Zee slap the thing away.

As both Zee and Karen were writhing in disgust they notice something is happening as they see gremlin like monsters are causing mayhem as people ran from them "Karen, what's happening?" Zee asked not believing what's happening.

Karen looked closely at the monsters more specifically the gremlins laughing face it seems familiar "Those faces." it looks like 'that guy's tattoo!' "Zee. Your spell." Karen said in alarm.

Zee looked confused "My spell? But how? My magic can't do something like..." before stopping remembering her father saying how ones state of mind can influence their magic and she was feeling "But I was angry. It was me. This is all my fault. What do I do? What do I do? What do I-" while Zee is panicking she was smacked back to her senses.

"Snap out of it, woman. This is no time for crying, it's time for heroing." Karen said before pulling out her medal holding her battle amour.

Zee stun look quickly made way for confidence "You're right, Karen. Let's teach these little monsters some manners." as she conjures arcane wind to hide the girls as they suit up and once the wind died down showing Zatanna and Bumblebee ready for action until one of the gremlin jumped on her hair getting her to panic in disgust "Ew. Ew. Ew. Get it off. Get it off. Get it off." before throwing the disgusting creature off her after shuddering off the disgusting feeling she went back in a heroic pose "Okay. Now it's time for heroing."

With that said both girls split up trying to get deal with the little gremlins Zatanna saw some gremlins riding a pair of bumper cars chasing a mother whose pushing her baby stroller screaming for help, Zatanna chased after them but stopped by a merry go round getting an idea Zatanna pulled one off the horse out and starts riding it like a princess, but enough of that as she fires at the gremlins who were struggling to dodge until one of them were sent careening towards the arcade.

Bumblebee seeing an explosion in said arcade she flew in and scan the damage before seeing the targets, as she flew after the giggling monsters she is trying to lock on them "Come on." she muttered as she deployed some sting launchers, as the retical finally locked on she fired and miss as the gremlin jumped into a claw machine "Dang it." she said before flying in to catch the monsters but found it monster free "I could've sworn they were in here?" but before she could contemplate more she notice some shadows looming over her, turning around she jumped in surprise to see four gremlins cackling mischievously as they start up the game, Bumblebee in a panic dives under the plushies as the monsters try to grab her.

Back with Zatanna who is now struggling to hit the last bumper car due to having more space to maneuver around the blast all while the mother kept screaming in panic, while Zatanna kept blasting she notice the mother was heading to a dead end of the pier she decides her next move "pmar!" she conjured a ramp in front of the cart and due to it coming out off nowhere the gremlins couldn't stop before launching themselves over the mother and into the water splashing a surprised and haggard mother while her baby was giggling at the fun.

While Zatanna sighed in relief before hearing cackling behind her seeing another gremlin riding in a bumper cart she chased after her while gathering some magic to cast at them but she was blindsided by the cart sudden donut colliding with her horse, after being knocked off she skidded across a group of gremlins playing with the crane game before stopping at the wall, hearing some gremlins giggle followed by retreating pitter patter she moved her cape aside to see the monster ran away "Zatanna! Help!" she turn to see Bumblebee trapped in the claw machine.

Hurrying over looked inside to see Bumblebee waving for help "Get me out of here." Zatanna starts to maneuver the claw thankfully the little creeps left some money in it "Back. Little to the right. A little more." Bumblebee said as she directs her which both annoyed and distracted Zatanna.

"Would you shush, you're distracting me." Zatanna said frustrated as she pushed the button and she's grabbed Bumblebee!...plushy much to Bumblebee's unamused grunt, "Just fly out of there." Zatanna said in frustration.

"Just teleport me." Bumblebee said also tired of the situation.

After hearing that Zatanna calms down "Oh, yeah." she said as she snaps her fingers and with a poof Bumblebee disappears and reappears next to Zatanna before growing back to full size.

Hearing crashes outside they ran out to see the gremlins wrecking the pier leaving chaos around them "What do we do? They're just so dreadfully evil." Zatanna said overwhelmed by the mess before her.

Bumblebee was also looking at the chaos before seeing a pair of gremlin tugging a stuffed bear until it tore leaving the gremlins to whimper sadly before laughing at each other after seeing that she starts to see a pattern the gremlins are making a mess but they look like they're having the time of their lives "Wait a minute. What if they're not? What if they're just having fun?" she turns to Zatanna who is also seeing what is going on "Look at them, Zatanna. They're just trying to entertain themselves."

After hearing that Zatanna starts to smile "Well, if it's entertainment these gremlins want, it's entertainment they shall have." Zatanna said as she changes back to her stage clothes before looking at Bumblebee "And that, my dear Karen, is where you come in." getting Bumblebee to look surprised before nodding in determination.

(Pier Amphitheater)

Karen steps up holding the megaphone she was nervous but this is more important than any stage fright after pulling out the script she memorize only the first part she even asked Zee to teach her how to pronounce prestidigitation before stepping up "Okay ready or not I'm doing this." stepping on stage she looks to the chaos and with as much confidence as she could muster she announce to the gremlins "Prepare yourselves, ladies and gentle-monsters, for an experience unlike any other. This is the great and powerful Zee Zatara, princess of presti-digi-tation." she cried out as she slowed herself to pronounce it properly and silently cheering that she pulled it off before running off stage as the crowd of gremlins are waiting in anticipation on whats going to happen.

And something happen with a flair as Zee Zatara walked out of the smokes and glitter taking the monsters attention "All right, you little beasts, who'd like to be entertained?" Zee said getting the gremlins to cheer as Zee starts her show by tossing her wand into the air which goes off like fireworks getting the gremlins to awe, Zee then perform a ribbon dance using her wand she just caught to create magical patterns close to that of flowers.

Zee puled Karen on stage as she conjures floating cards around them before tapping one of them to show a Ace of hearts looking to Karen who looked confused before looking surprised as Zee taps it again to change from red to purple and also Karen's clothes matching the cards color, Zee taps to turn it to teal then pink getting Karen to giggle at the change.

The mosters awed by the perfomance before Karen was levitated up in a lying motion while Zee conjures a ring in midair and with a wave Karen flew through the ring changing back to her original colors getting the monsters to oooh.

Zee then conjures a basket under Karen who gasp after feeling gravity holding her again before landing inside the basket while Zee tossed her hat in the air and out came Karen landing under the hat before landing on her head.

With the now enthralled beast at her attention after Karen gave back her hat Zee looks to the crowd "And now we've come to my final trick of the evening. A trick so risky, so daring, that the squeamish among you may wish to look away." before conjuring the same box from her fathers trick "I will make my lovely assistant... disappear." she said as both girls present the box which opened up.

It took Karen a sec before realizing what Zee said "Wait, what?" Karen whispered in concern.

Zee whispered back "Wait, what?" getting an unsure response but Zee still must finish this act "Lovely assistant." Zee said as Karen tentatively made her way in the box looking unsure before Zee closed it "Now watch closely, my fiendish friends..." she said as the gremlins leaned forward as Zee starts her chant "Spirits beyond, I summon thee here, heed my command, make this girl disappear." as she levitate the box to spin before stopping it "Behold." as the box opened showing it's empty much to the roaring cheers from the gremlins who is loving this.

Zee now into her final trick looks to the gremlins "Now, do I have any volunteers from the audience?" and the gremlins starts to push each other to jump in the box until they start to squeeze themselves in, Karen who reappeared behind the box rush to the front and shut the box giving Zee a thumbs up, Zee nods before pointing her wand to the box as it floats in the air as Zee pours more magic to undo her spell, as she was performing the spell many people who were hiding starts to come out and watch in awe, Zee with a grunt in effort as she pour as much as she can muster "snilmerg ib enog!" with a burst of magic flies into the box which exploded, Zee panted in both exhilaration and exhaustion before looking to the crowds who is now staring in awe "Um [pant] Ta-da?" before crowd cheers getting her to lean back in surprise.

"You did it. It worked." Karen said happy for Zee who smiled.

"Bravo! That's my girl!" Giovanni said as he applaud her performance getting both girls to look surprised.

Zee stared at her father "Daddy why are you here?" she said wondering where he came from.

Shoutaro walked out behind Giovanni "It's a long story."

"Shoutaro! where were you?" Zee said both in relief and questioning.

Shoutaro seeing she wants answers he sighed "Well..."

(Few minutes earlier)

Shoutaro was watching Zee start to get irritated but before he could do anything he found himself further from the crowd and in front of the sorceress's father glaring daggers at him 'Agh mou!'

"I thought you said you weren't her boyfriend and what do I find YOU AND HER ON A DATE!?" Giovanni said with his eyes glowing.

Shoutaro leaned back before pushing his face away "It's not a date we were suppose to give a show but someone already got the crowds attention." looking back to see Zee wowing the crowds with some real magic but he saw something weird flying into the crowd then they starts to cause a commotion but he saw the hurt look on Zee's face "Somethings wrong." as he look around trying to find what flew into the crowd earlier before seeing a shadow ran off.

But before he could follow Giovanni grab his shoulder "Something isn't right I'm feeling dark magic." he said as he followed the trail of dark magic before gasping "Zee!" Giovanni said in concern before he could intervene she fired her spell into the other boy's back "No..".

Shoutaro looked confused "Doesn't seem that bad." he said as he saw what Zee did "She just changed his tattoo."

"She didn't just changed the tattoo she placed a curse." Giovanni said remorselessly getting Shoutaro to look surprise, seeing his expression he elaborates "Magic is fueled by positive emotion which can be molded into anything easily but curses are different because it's uses dark emotion anger, desperation, envy and hatred it can't be molded but it will take form into whatever ire the caster feels." and just as he finished Ace starts to panic before leaning back as his shirt burst open as gremlins flew out of him and land around Ace who faints.

Shoutaro looked perplex as the gremlins starts to spread out and cause chaos "We have to stop them." but Giovanni held him back.

"That would be a fools errand not only are their more than we can handle but such a curse can only be undone by the one who cast it." Giovanni looked to where his daughter was "My daughter must handle this."

Shoutaro looked as the gremlins starts to cause chaos as the people run from the chaotic critters "If we can't stop the monster than we help the people in the crossfire." he said before pulling out the Doubledriver getting Giovanni to quirk a brow, Luna! Joker! (Ominous glowing sound to orchestral hit) Giovanni quickly covered himself from the sudden wind before seeing Double flicking his left hand before rushing in to help the citizens.

Giovanni looked stunned before he starts to fly off to help him and they manage to minimize the chaos by keeping the people safe saving as much people from being run over by bumper cars, catching kids from being launched and pulling people out of the water.

They kept doing as much as they can until they heard Karen announcement that got the Gremlins to run off somewhere, both Double and Giovanni looked at each other before running after them and was surprised to see Zee performing her magic act.

(Present time)

"Let's just say somethings happened." Shoutaro said shrugged.

Before Zee could press the question someone shout out "Faker!" surprising the four who looked back at who shouted that.

"Your that volunteer from before." Shoutaro said but seeing a USB in her hand caused him to glare at her "So your the one causing the crowd to berate Zee!"

The volunteer girl scoffed "Serve her right for interrupting real magicians like Ace of Spades" she said before pushing the memory LIAR then inserting it behind her neck causing her to change into a pale like monster with a rust bronze like armor with decorative engravings on it and three small pale faces on the chest her right arm is also covered in the armor with three large needle like spikes going through the forearm while the left is has a pauldron with a bronze band on her pale wrist with black fingers, she also has her pale legs exposed with bronze boots and on her bald pale head is a grotesque face guard with three thin blades curved around her head and point outward in front of her and a spike mouth guard with one spike on her nose to be the longest, she sighed in invigoration as she looked to the surprised crowd "And after this you never will."

"Dopant!" Zee and Karen said while Giovanni place himself between the monster and his daughter.

Shoutaro on the other hand pulled out his own Gaia memory "Where did you get that memory?" JOKER "Ikuzo philip." Cyclone! Joker! (Technical guitar to orchestral hit) "Who gave you that."

The Liar Dopant just laughed at him "Why should I tell you. "Your not gonna hit me"" she said before spitting a speech bubble like a dart but before it could connect a barrier blocked the dart "Tch! Another trick."

Double turn to see if it was Zee but saw her to tired to fight before looking beside him to see Giovanni with his wand out "I don't know whats going on but I suspect those darts should not be touched." he said before showing a bit more off his power "But you were the one who went after my daughter so I'll show no mercy."

The Dopant took a step back but she try to look brave "Yeah right! Your tricks wo-"

"ecnelis!" The Dopant paused before she try to speak only to find she can't talk she grabbed her throat looking agitated "I won't hear another word from you and you'll not call my magic fake."

The Dopant not wanting to be looked down upon she created a speaker like staff with its tongue lolling out and charge at Giovanni but Double got in her way after smacking her away he looked to Giovanni "Hold her still."

Giovanni nods before shouting out "ti dnib!" Magic forced the Dopant to constrict itself as it struggles to move.

Double pulled inserted the Joker memory into his side JOKER maximum drive! Double starts to float up before performing his rider kick which caused him to split "Joker Extreme!" he shouted before both sides connect and blew the Dopant apart leaving the fan groaning on the ground.

As the memory broke apart Double sighed "Another one like Garth but it seem weaker than him why?" he said as he de-henshin "Who is giving those out?"

"Zee are you okay nothing broken?" Giovanni was fretting over his daughter who kept whining over his smothering, a groan got their attention before seeing the fan girl waking up "Now what should I do with this brat?"

Shoutaro held him back "Hold on if it's like last time maybe she doesn't remember what happened."

And to prove his point the girl woke up "What where am I? Who are you?"

Ace walked over looking overwhelmed by what had happen "Was that real magic you gotta teach me." Ace said in awe.

The fan looked at him before blushing at seeing Ace who looked confused at her "Hey weren't you the girl from earlier?" getting the girl to ran up to him getting him to lean back.

"I'm your biggest fan O-M-G! I love your magic its so real and raw!" the fan said as Ace seemed weirded out before trying to walk away not that the fan seem to notice as she rambled on how much she loves his magic.

(Outside the Pier)

"This day has been the worst, when I thought I can make my grand debut only to get upstage by that hack." Zee said as she made her way home "At least I get to perform even if its to a group of disgusting monsters."

Karen gave her a nudge "C'mon Zee you were great!"

"Better than Ace that's for sure." Shoutaro said getting her to feel better.

"And remember when I said that only you can make it the best performance and that did happen, and I'm proud of the little magician you became." Giovanni said as he held his little girl who smiled.

"Thanks Daddy but I couldn't have done it without my greatest assistant." Zee said looking at Karen who smiled back.

Giovanni on the other hand misunderstood her as he glares at Shoutaro who waved his hands saying it wasn't him.

As Giovanni kept pressing Shoutaro for answer Zee and Karen just looked on in confusion.

Sitting among the rubble we see Dealer looking at Ace being chased by the fan "Mmm. Another miss huh and she couldn't even do anything and I doubt she became a meta to." Dealer said before walking away before pulling out more another Liar memory "Looks like I'm gonna have to expand my business."
