Prompt: Antithesis
Sesshoumaru broke his promise. He monitored the house from afar but felt wearied by the thought of involving himself further; his yearning heart the antithesis to his jaded mind.
He might've skipped visiting during the second patrol too if Kagome hadn't wandered into the garden.
"Sesshoumaru."
Unable not to- he appeared. "You could sense me?"
"I just knew you'd be around," Kagome turned, blue eyes widening. "Did... something happen?"
He blinked. Did he look that bad?
"No?"
Sighing, she approached. "Come here-" pulling him down into a hug, gentle hands cradled his neck and shoulders, feeling him shudder in response.
