"Do you want to talk about it?"
Sesshoumaru gave a muffled response, face buried in her shoulder. "No."
Kagome massaged his scalp as he held her tight.
"Why did your ex never mate you?" he asked. "Did you never wish to? Even before you knew him to be disgusting?"
She snorted, dragging her shoulder bandage down slightly, showing faded bite marks. "I'm not guilty by association. He tried to mate me. It didn't take because I didn't want it."
"Hn."
Kagome gentled, touching his cheek. "Don't isolate yourself any more. Come see us."
"I am…afraid."
"Of what?"
"All of you die...always."
