Sesshoumaru gazed at her profile while rain poured outside, thunder rumbling.
Wringing water from her hair, Kagome sighed. "I broke up with Inuyasha a month ago. Things are still so awkward at the village- felt like I couldn't breathe."
He didn't answer, wondering when the inception of his strange impulses around her began.
They sat in silence for a while. Having conversed over the months since her return, the atmosphere wasn't unpleasant, yet it felt charged. Anticipation hummed.
"…Do you have an opinion on it?"
"Hn?"
Lightning flashed, igniting watchful blue eyes brighter than a lunar flare. "My breakup with Inuyasha."
