And crashing the Scotts' annual costume party is the perfect time for Megamind to get into the mansion for a little covert safe-cracking. AU inspired by Setepenre-Set's story Safe If We Stand Close Together, where Roxanne and Megamind are childhood friends, and by a prompt on Tumblr.

This story was inspired by the first chapter of "Code: Safeword" by Setepenre-Set", an AU in which Megamind kidnaps Roxanne Ritchi, as in the movie, but then she seduces him and the rest of the movie never happens. This starts out with the same idea, but is told (mostly) from Metro Man's point of view. Warning: crimes including murder and child prostitution.

Post-movie. Megamind fights bullying and corporate corruption in his own, not necessarily law-abiding way. There is a bullying scene at the beginning. One-shot.

Dating Megamind, dealing with her family's issues, Roxanne is the one with the angst this time. Post-movie. So my two long Megamind fics, The Overlord's Lady and The Last Kidnapping, are both mostly rated T, but they have some M bits in them. (Also some short ones that are mostly or entirely M.) Because of the M rating, they won't show up on the community list. To see them, you have to search for them. When I was new, I didn't know this, so I'm putting this out there for you newbies.

Wayne Scott, by faking his death, perpetrated a massive public fraud and the city's new hero is powerless to bring him to justice. So Roxanne will have to do it. Rated M for sex and language. TW: involuntary body transformations.

The Evil Overlord tries to use his skills as an inventor to get himself a good woman. This is kind of my homage to the black-and-white movie era that originated the superhero idea, so it contains some retro attitudes. AU, non-con sexual situation. This is the one I got grief for on LiveJournal because somebody didn't see the NON-CON warning. But it's not as dark as you might think.

Tiny one-shot set just after the movie. Will the relationship between Roxanne and Megamind be entirely a matter of her leading him over to the side of good, or will there also be a little bit of influence in the other direction?

Metro Woman can't get laid without killing her partner. Maybe her brilliant blue nemesis can help. Pre-movie, partial gender-bend, tents. Rated MA for sex. Also, there's a very long crime-fighting sequence leading up to the lovin'.

After Megamind becomes Overlord, the inmates of the Metro City Prison for the Criminally Gifted wonder: will he remember them? One-shot, rated T because prisoners cuss a lot.

Minion tells the story of how his people and Megamind's came together. It's what he learned on their home planet, taught young Megamind when they were kids in the prison, then later told Roxanne. Eventually he was filmed telling it and the video played on a continuous loop at the museum. Rated K for mention of genocide.

Very short story of an incident of danger in the Megamind household. TW: threat to children.

In this AU, baby Roxanne is the last survivor of the destruction of Earth. There's actually very little there about her as a baby; it skips pretty quickly to her adolescence and young adulthood. Characters include Megamind's father.

Takes place in the far future in a world where vampires, lycanthropes and other things that go bump in the night co-exist with aliens and supers. There's a zombie apocalypse as backstory.

Minion is older than Megamind. What does he remember of their people and life on their homeworld?

When Megamind, disguised as Bernard the "expert on all things Megamind", is dating Roxanne, he has the chance to tell her things about himself and pass them off as the results of Bernard's research. Here's a snippet of conversation from one of those dates.

The tiny space ships that brought to Earth the infants that would grow up to be Megamind, Minion and Metro Man were programmed, not just to go to the same planet, but the same house. What's up with that? (Main characters are Metro Man's parents and a bunch of OCs.)
