A/N: I apologise having not posted a chapter for months. I've been really busy with my life. Although in my spare time, I have been working on chapters. It wasn't Ben 10. It was actually chapters for a story I'm about to soon create. One man working on everything takes too much time. That's why I haven't been working on Ben 10. I love Ben 10. My favourite childhood show. Anyway, I hope you all enjoy this chapter. It's a long one.
The Hospital
Grandpa and Gwen don't know where Ben is. They were about to get word out for finding Ben but their heads revolved to looking at the TV screen.
Gwen uses the remote to level the volume up high in order for herself and grandpa to hear it.
"Early reports say several officers have been injured by something that most people would allegedly claim was manufactured by Foxteca", a reporter addresses from where Gwen and grandpa views it from the TV.
Gwen registers the comprehension of where the place had been attacked in, preparing herself to find Ben for the reason that she knows Ben wouldn't cowardly walk out from a battle that he knows if fled will result in consequences. "I think I might know where Ben went. I gotta go grandpa", Gwen addresses. She moves out of the side of grandpa's bed.
Grandpa lifts his upper body up, outstretching his hand to Gwen's end. "I'm coming too", grandpa addresses, though grunting over the state he is in.
Gwen whirls around "You can't go anywhere", Gwen said, jogging grandpa to remember he is in a very bad state from going anywhere near out.
"You can't go alone. It's too dangerous", grandpa said.
Gwen didn't care. She began holding a remote up. She presses on one button that forces the the old man's bed to pull grandpa back down, laid flat, much to the latter's shock.
"I can't get up now", grandpa proclaims, wishing he'd be out but couldn't.
"That's the point", Gwen reasons behind why grandpa won't be able to move out. She soon leaves the room.
Grandpa registers Gwen leaving the room. His disapproval is great. "Gwen! Get back here!", grandpa requested. No answer has dived straight over to his ears. "Gwen!". Grandpa is still not hearing Gwen's voice.
Out of the hospital...
Gwen hides inside the ambulance, making sure she doesn't get caught by any, whilst hearing ambulance crew briefly mentioning where they're required to travel, which was where Gwen was intending to go to.
The ambulance makes a move, destined to arrive at the destination.
Outside of the Police Academy...
Selina attacks. She continuously fires lasers, destroying whatever seems to be fit for her to annihilate in her sight. Not human, not anything, she doesn't care. As she was about to land another few lasers, she was suddenly speedily struck two times, causing Selina to down on her knees.
The figure swiftly reappears in front of Selina's front way. Its skin is coloured-blue. It had a visor, which subsequently slid open to reveal its true face. Its hands had three claws each. It had a tail with black and blue strips. Its head is worn of a cone-like helmet. It's now revealed it was XLR8. "You have my attention now, Selina", he addresses.
Selina glances on his feet, pulling the latter's foot up, and then slamming him down on the ground. She kicks XLR8 away with such force, throwing XLR8 to crash at a police car, causing the windshield of that car to break.
XLR8, flat on the ground, grunts from the impact. He slowly got up, turning to eye at Selina.
Selina is slowly reaching up to XLR8's end. "Selina? Haven't heard that name for a long, long time. I never knew a brat like you could figure out my name so easily. No one has ever seen the face of Selina for years. If they'd see me, they'd see me differently", said Selina.
XLR8 gets up to an upright position, preparing to go and attack Selina. He speeds up to Selina's end, striking her with tremendous speed Selina couldn't measure up to realising how fast XLR8 was for her.
Selina stumbled back, feeling the infliction laid on her. She twirls around, coming to realise XLR8 already had sped his way up to Selina's chest.
XLR8 speedily kicks Selina multiple times, driving her back. With his last kick, XLR8 immediately springs Selina way backwards, making the latter stumble back again. XLR8 alights on the ground, subsequent to swiftly reach up to Selina.
Selina notices, attempting to elbow XLR8 by the stomach only to realise XLR8 in close time pulled his head below her elbow.
XLR8 is closely kneeled down. He uses his tail to seize the arm Selina used to elbow XLR8 back. He tosses Selina to one side, thus making the female crash on another car.
Selina gets up, grunting. She twirls her head to XLR8's direction, registering the speedster making his way up to her in a rapid pace. Selina revolves her blasters aimed at XLR8, triggering them to fire at XLR8's feet.
XLR8 attempts to dodge the lasers, but later on gets hit on the feet, making himself trip over. His body began bouncing a few times across to on direction that's away from Selina's point.
Selina is fully on her feet. She moves her legs, directing her way over to XLR8, whilst having a flashing reminder banged on Selina when she felt a familiar feeling she never had for a long time. "That grip", Selina remarks, twiddling on the wrist XLR8 used his tail to wrap on. She remembered the feeling. It was known to her. "I could never forget. But somehow I did. Inevitably, it keeps coming back to bite".
XLR8 rose his head up, showing a confused expression.
Selina almost gets closer to XLR8, although her mind is thinking about the familiarity of the firm grip she was given. "I haven't felt that grip since...", Selina pauses in uttering. She is now close to XLR8's end, the latter whom is still trying to recover from the effective blasts landed on his feet. "Since Batman gave me the touchable feeling".
Ben seemed very disgusted by Batman and Catwoman's encounters, once divulged by someone that the two had at times shared a romance which didn't end in a better way. He ignored the thought, mainly focused on the new Selina. Before he would swiftly get up to face the robotic monster, he spins to his left, perceiving a tank approaching their way. XLR8 notices the tank's target is on Selina, which prompted XLR8 to flee at one far distance.
Selina notices XLR8 running away but soon has her focus on the tank.
The tank fires ahead at Selina's body, causing an output of an outburst. Smoke engulfing everywhere around the tank and Selina,
XLR8 observes smoke, wondering who will come out. Moments later, he perceives a tank moving its way to his direction, though not completely as it soon stopped. He then sees the tank gets lifted up, in which the speedster comprehends on two people leaving the tank.
"Nice try. But speedy is all mine", Selina said. She straight away throws the tank over to XLR8's end.
XLR8 speeds away from getting closed by the tank, in which itself is thrown several distances away since it didn't crash on XLR8.
Selina notices XLR8 arrived behind her, taking the cue for herself to spin around. She tries to attack XLR8 but the latter avoids it in fast motion, much to Selina's annoyance.
XLR8 arrived behind Selina, ready to throw a punch at her.
Selina turns around, aware of XLR8's place pointed in. She receives a direct hit from XLR8. Then she gets pounded back again by him. Then her body was forced to way up in the air, caused by XLR8 striking her by the lower chin.
XLR8 sees Selina's body fly all the way away from XLR8 to a farther distance.
Selina raises up, swiftly recovering. She lifts her blasters up, aimed at XLR8. Selina fires a long laser, smashing XLR8 to slide backwards.
Seconds later...
An EMT van arrives, parked in front of Police Academy. Two people came out, raising a question in who needed help. Their eyes turned on a two figures crashing on one spot which created smoke to spread out.
The smoke begins to fade away, revealing Selina holding XLR8's seemingly unconscious body.
Selina notices people had arrived, which brought her attention to them, hence scaring the helpers, taking the liberty to leave now. Selina readies her blasters, resuming on having her intentions destroying more buildings.
XLR8 ups his head, endeavouring to ignore the damages he was dealt out in. During the time XLR8 is beginning to raise his head to focus on Selina, his eyes saw Gwen by the van in sight, causing XLR8 to be very surprised. "Gwen?!", he exclaims, in due course running past Selina, the latter whom noticed, grabbing Gwen in his arms.
Along the path deeply, way and way away from Selina, XLR8 quickly dives to one alleyway he can cover to ground himself talking with Gwen. XLR8 reaches there via the fast pace none of the humans can draw out. Arriving in the alley, XLR8 speedily places Gwen in front of him, then glancing at the back for any signs of Selina before finally rotating to Gwen, with his visor sliding upwards.
"What are you doing here?", XLR8 questions, knowing that in no possibility would Gwen survive if he was seen before Selina's eyes as the latter seems very maliciously intent on destroying everything and everyone in her sight.
Gwen facially expresses a serious one, showing her dismay over Ben leading himself in a suicide risk battling someone who is undoubted to be a challenging foe for Ben to handle. "'It's better this way', sound familiar?", Gwen questions, recalling the one line that made her disappointed that Ben is doing it all on his own without getting support from a team that had done well together so far from the time that giant robot monster attacked the campsite up to the day Kevin tried to kill the people, which in that day had brought out a lot of troubles.
Ben's watch symbol begins signalling a beeping noise. "So does that beeping", XLR8 remarks, posing a shocked posture. The red beam bursts out, reverting XLR8 back to Ben.
Gwen notices too, but wasn't too surprised. She knew the watch would time out at some point, though in many instances it would be around 10 minutes.
Ben analyses his arms, noting he is back as a 10-year-old kid, vulnerable to getting blasted as many times till he quickly dies by one of Selina's blasters once they land on him. "Ah, just great", Ben said, annoyed of the watch's timeout function. He then hears a whirring noise short to heading up to their way. Ben runs up ahead, quickly seizing Gwen's hand, using his strength, pulling Gwen to follow him. "Come on".
A few spaces behind them, Selina springs up in the alley due to flight. She cuts short, instead follows them through the alley.
Ben and Gwen run out of that passage, taking a new turn to seek a hiding spot in a different passage. Their legs springing on and on until they ended up at a dead end, accidentally reaching up at a wall, which wasn't a good thing for Ben and Gwen because there is no way out. They spun around, seeing Selina reaching up to their end.
Selina reaches down the ground, quickly lifting up in an upright fixed pose. "I won't ask again so politely: hand over the Omnitrix, or be destroyed", Selina gives them a warning, preparing to target her blasters at them.
"Omnitrix?", Ben exclaims, not knowing what the woman is talking about.
Gwen is more focused on thinking why Selina would be so murderous, so vicious and so warped over her violent tenacity to destroy. She would often think of Selina as a burglar who's agenda isn't favouring in support for the worst people but rather using the wrong to support the right ways. This was what she learned from the internet regarding her. "Why are you doing this Selina?", Gwen questions her.
"Do what? My job?", Selina questions, fronting a movement to the point at almost closing in on the two cousins.
"You know exactly what I mean", Gwen declares, showing a stern tone. "Many years ago, you used to be a good person. Though your actions have mostly been characterised as a criminal who is willing to steal things for the better, that better would be your selfless intentions on doing it out of the goodness of your heart". Gwen raises her arm, directing it towards Selina over her appearance. "Why this?". She gestures hands pointed at Selina's appearance.
"Listen kid. I'm not aspiring myself a role model inspiring little juveniles like you to worship me. But I will tell you what caused me to change after what I've been doing through most of my life in-between the decades passed from my last years as Catwoman to returning back as a new person", Selina said.
Gwen and Ben eyed at each other, knowing it only prolonged their moment of being dead, which will be happening short after Selina finishes.
"I was tortured, destroyed, broken and inflicted with so much pain. Both from Gotham, and from Batman for leaving me in a dark place for all these years. I lived my life in the outer reaches of the world, punishing, destroying, and training all by myself. None of that made me feel better", Selina explaining the backstory that resulted in her wholly changing herself to a different person. She then lifts her left arm up, releasing what Ben and Gwen see appears to be a sword. "I needed to change the way I look and my voice. So I went through many surgeries, one in particular: cosmetic surgery, courtesy of Alice".
Gwen vibrated her head, shoving off the digestion of thoughts gained over acknowledging on how Selina evolved through a painful way. It was extremely disgusting and painful for her to hear these things.
"Despite my voice and appearance drastically changed, I am surprised a couple of you brats would figure out who I was", Selina expresses. She then steadies her stance, setting her weapon to strike down at Ben and Gwen. "Too bad you won't make it out". She afterwards glimpsed an evil smirk that frightens Gwen. "And by the way, I go by the name of Rojo now. Rojo the rogue".
Ben, knowing Rojo is about to strike at him and Gwen, spreads his eyesight, recent on seeing a dumped explosive canister laid to one end at his left side. Ben quickly picks it up, tossing it to slam at Rojo's frontside.
Rojo's sword slices the canniter, instantly causing an explosion that sends her backwards, providing Ben and Gwen the opportunity to run past Rojo, which they successfully did by the time Rojo lifts her head up. As her eyes rose to search for Ben and Gwen, she swirled around to her backside, hearing thudding steps not very far.
The Gym
Ben and Gwen stowed in the gym, which is where they were fatefully ended up in.
The door behind them immediately closes.
Ben and Gwen turn their faces towards that door. The entrance they took. The cousins stepped back, preparing themselves from anything that will strike at or down on them.
Ben knows Gwen's safety is considered a priority. He turns to Gwen's side. "Gwen run away as fast as you can. Get grandpa and move on out with the RV", Ben commands Gwen, hoping the latter listens for once. He turns to his front gaze. "I'll hold him off as Diamondhead and see if I can push her back until you get out of here". Ben sets his eyes on the watch, positioning his hand above the watch. That same hand was halted by Gwen, making Ben turn to his cousin.
"Ben you can't run away from us!", Gwen said, much to Ben's irritation as he believes Gwen is not understanding the situation is clearly massively serious to the point that not even Ben's watch could not cope to bring victory like he'd always do.
"You should've stayed out of it! This isn't the time for the pain-in-the-ass Gwen!", Ben angrily shouts at her. "Don't tell me what I can or cannot do. This is my fight! My weird watch". Ben showcases his watch, which is coloured red because it timed out. "Not yours!".
"Firstly, you are my weird cousin. Secondly, we're getting out of here alive together. That's what family does. And thirdly, I can't just let you die and have myself feel haunted for the rest of my life, knowing my stubborn, independent, unthoughtful cousin chose to sacrifice himself to save me and grandpa because he believes his life isn't as important as me and the rest of the billions inhabiting this world", Gwen expresses, showing her angry look, heated up after being allegedly claimed by Ben, who is vastly serious than ever, for thinking she is not realising how dangerous the situation is. She then had a thought, recalling something that they talked about from their previous days. "Is this what Alfred's legacy would be? His death only being in vain? I hope you haven't forgotten about him".
Ben widened his face, shaping a look as if he felt the wind pulled every ounce of anger away from his face. Hearing the name 'Alfred' tranced Ben into visioning multiple flashbacks of the time that man had been with them for years till worse things happened. Ben quickly shaped his face back to a serious expression, snapping off from thinking about the name Gwen mentioned.
Ben and Gwen perceived a ringing noise.
Ben knew it didn't came from his phone as he left it back in the Rust Bucket when it had to get charged. He shortly reached the understanding it was Gwen's phone.
Gwen picks her phone up from the watch. She answers the phone, placing it on her ear. "Hello?", she said, wondering who is it that's calling her in this time. She instantly hears grandpa's voice, requesting her to pass it on to Ben. Gwen turns to Ben, handing the phone to Ben. "It's for you".
Ben accepts the phone handed to him, immediately placing it on his ear. "Hello?", Ben says, next to hear grandpa's voice. "Grandpa, can we talk later. I've got an indestructible robot none of my aliens can possibly take out".
At the hospital...
Grandpa is on the phone, contacted with Gwen since he he couldn't receive any answer from Ben's phone, which would imply either Ben shut the phone down or forgotten to take it with him, or it was destroyed. After finally hearing Ben's voice, assuring grandpa he should be glad Ben isn't dead as of now. But he does hear Ben's struggling tone when he mentioned his difficulty on taking down the robot rogue criminal. "Ben if you can't destroy it from the outside, take it down from the inside", said grandpa, advising Ben to take his battle with his tough foe in a building rather than have his conflicts with her outside.
The Gym
Ben heard grandpa's advice over the phone which brought a smile on Ben's face, in the end finding one possible route to put Rojo down, and maybe shutting down whatever merged with her. "That's it!", Ben says, realising the battle with Rojo isn't so difficult. He needed to outwit the rogue once-named Selina using various tools to his avail. "Thanks!".
Gwen's lips triggered itself a smile, noticing Ben's entire expression suddenly changed.
Ben cancels the call, handing the phone to Gwen.
"Looks like you're not better off without grandpa either, huh?", said Gwen, briefly poked a finger on Ben's chest, intended for only hitting on Ben's centre chest.
Ben scans the gym, seeking out on what resources are currently set in. He displays a smirk, already on with the plan he's about throw over Rojo. He taps on the watch's button, setting off the face to elevate its place upwards due to the tube rising up.
Outside of the Gym...
Rojo senses the watch activated, which brought about her sense of reaching there shorter than possible times. She flew up to the sky, heading to where the direction of her senses is leading her to.
The Gym
Ben begins dialling on his watch, searching for one alien that might just work for him to get him through with Rojo. Suddenly, himself and including Gwen heard and saw a blast from one spot from the ceiling.
More blasts are fired from the ceiling.
Ben and Gwen ran to a safe point, moving to take cover behind the pillar and one of the Gym's resources.
Ben, taking cover behind the pillar, focuses on speedily twisting the watch until reaching to seeing one alien Ben is planning on turning into. Ben slams the watch. A green beam leaks out of the watch, digesting Ben inside for the reason of his transmigration process enabled. Ben's whole begins to mutate into having everything on his skin turn black, with green glowing strikes arising along his arm, then to his whole body. His eyes are replaced with carrying only one eye appearing as one green circle. His process has ended, resulting in Ben becoming Upgrade.
Meanwhile, Rojo lands down inside the gym from the ceiling in which he fired a few lasers down. She looks at her surroundings, spotting no presence of Ben or Gwen leaving behind any trails Rojo would follow in. She is sure the gym is the place where Ben recently activated the watch. She moves ahead, advancing in her search for the watch. The only things Rojo see is the equipment.
Unbeknownst to Rojo, Gwen is presently concealed in one the equipment located at Rojo's right side, and additionally, Ben is sticking himself on the ceiling, finally waiting for the moment to crash over Rojo.
Upgrade drops his body down on Rojo, much to the latter stunned that the presence hit on her backside. Ben begins stretching open his body, dragging the black gooey substances over Rojo.
Rojo heavily grunts, trying to get rid of Upgrade off, the latter who has attached himself all over Rojo's upper body, in the end.
The tugging between the two is getting much diffiuclt for Rojo since she couldn't use her strength to pull off Upgrade because of him going so strongly attached making it look he has been webbed all over by thousands of spiders from the dark points.
Rojo backs away because of the impact of force throwing her off balance, thus laying Rojo on her knees.
Electric sparks start to appear on Rojo's head, which is covered by Upgrade reminiscent of a sticky suit. Those sparks made Ben tranced.
In Ben's mind...
A voice as well as a big skin-coloured gray cracked face, with a cracked rock-like body. He wears a navy blue turtleneck tight sleevless shirt with the skirt laid in reaching down to a certain point on his thighs. He wore navy blue long boots and navy blue long gloves.
Ben floats in a sort-of vortex dimension, appearing still as Upgrade. He doesn't remember seeing a portal or haven't realised he had been teleported.
"Listen to every word", said the being who has a grim, gravel, dim voice. "Be afraid!".
This being's voice pierces straight through Ben despite being in his Upgrade form.
"You cannot run. You cannot hide from me. I will find you", he vows. His tone quickly getting scarier and scarier by the second. "And when I do, I will retrieve my Omnitrix that will turn out in my possession, shaping everything into my despair, and obliterate you from existence".
Ben is very terrified of this sudden approach brought upon him, scaring him half-death over the sight of this monster.
The Real World...
The Gym
Rojo finally pulls Upgrade off of her, causing the latter to smash into a pillar.
Ben grunts, though quickly focused back with his conflict on Rojo, subsequent to noticing Rojo firing towards him. Ben ducks, dragging himself off from leaning the pillar. Ben moves himself to a curve direction, pulling himself to charge at someone which was where Rojo is.
Rojo steps to one side, avoiding Upgrade from leaning another grasp on, without realising Ben is aiming at one of the gym's resources. It hit on it, instantly transforming the equipment into a version texturized and created by Upgrade. Two hands sprung out, reaching up to Rojo's end, grasping her wrists. Ben pulls Rojo to his end, smashing her against the equipment a few times. He then lets go, seeing Rojo almost freeing herself out, which caused Rojo to fall back, slamming against another equipment, in which Upgrade patches itself on. He uses the equipment to launch Rojo forward, pelting her across to one resource in which itself instantly shattered after getting slammed by Rojo, though accidentally.
Rojo got up, subsequent to blasting Upgrade, whom reappears in his usual physical appearance.
Ben moves to one direction, avoiding the blasts. He continues running, realising Rojo is going to keep firing lasers at him.
Whilst Ben is continuing to avoid lasers thrown his way, Gwen notices the ceiling is started to break down due to the battle going on between Rojo and Upgrade. She then heard the door kicked open, seeing the SWAT team arrived.
"Duck!", she tells the SWAT, which they took it in by kneeling down, thereby dodging blasts that hurled on their direction.
The SWAT team stood up. They begin firing bullets from their respective machine guns aimed at Rojo.
Rojo didn't feel a thing but didn't realise Upgrade covered the chance to throw himself over to her.
Ben slams over to Rojo's backside, following the same process he attempted to do before he lost sense for a short moment. He spreads his body all around the female's robotic body, appearing in the same way Ben wanted it to happen. This time Upgrade covered himself on Rojo's entire body.
It forced Rojo to lie on the ground.
Upgrade begin dismantling every part within Rojo's system on her fusion with the robot drone.
Gwen and the SWAT team observe Upgrade's operation which finally ended.
Upgrade loosens up his attachments with Rojo, standing upright on a point next to Rojo's body.
Rojo now begins to have herself disassembled from her binds with the robot, forming her back into her regular self.
Gwen and SWAT fronted slightly closer.
As Gwen moved a little close, she is remarkably astounded over Rojo's appearance. They weren't the same appearance Gwen last saw of Rojo's human appearance. She gasps.
Even the SWAT are surprised, recognising the appearance of this female before.
"Hey, isn't that Selina Kyle?", man 1 questions to his group in a low voice.
"Impossible. No one's seen her for decades", man 2 replies.
Rojo gets herself up, prepared to battle Upgrade. "You better get yourself rea-", she paused, perceiving her skin is back to normal. She is shocked. She goes and touches her body, touching her face.
Gwen reaches up to Upgrade's side. "Did you restore her to what she originally looked before?", Gwen curioisly asked.
"I didn't do anything", Ben claims.
They tilted to look at Rojo, now seen as Selina.
"It might've been the disassembly of the drone that restored Selina's original appearance rather than her custom look", Upgrade presumes. "Either way of understanding what happened to her, it honestly doesn't matter. Since she is no longer indestructible".
Gwen displays a smile in response.
Rojo heard what Upgrade said. She looks down at herself, then glancing at her right, focused on the broken glasses. She saw a reflection of what she used to be when she wore the Catwoman suit. "No!", she exclaims, frowned. She afterwards glances down on her arms, subsequently clenching her hands into fists. "You will pay for this, you destroyed everything".
"You did that to yourself, Selina", Ben shot back.
Selina is letting it all out. She is prepared to move out but before she could, she felt a strong force appearing behind her.
Ben, Gwen and the SWAT notice a strange white spiral portal materialising in appearance.
That portal seems to be pulling Selina back.
"What is it now?!", Selina says, growing tired of being laid into so many things that distress her. Her body is backing more and more away until she almost comes to the point she is almost reaching at it.
Gwen swirls to look at Upgrade. "Ben?", she calls.
"On it", Upgrade replies. He flings ahead to Selina's way. He is almost coming to Selina's end. As he reaches closer and closer, his front reaches up to Selina but failed to catch the latter as she is fully forced in entering that portal. Ben attempts to get in there and rescue Selina but the portal immediately closes, causing Upgrade to land on the ground. Ben swiftly raises himself up to a standing position. He ponders where the portal holds on taking Selina to.
Miles away...
A portal opened up, Selina Kyle shortly fell out. Her body now lies flat. She lies on something that she feels is a little comfy. She had a feeling she was lying on a car seat. It seems she may have right as she started to get up. Her eyes rising, opening widely to meet the face of a bald man in a business suit.
"Nice to see you've woken up, Ms. Kyle. We have a lot of things to do. But where to start?", the figure says, evilly smiling towards Selina.
A blurriness on her vision fades away more while Selina continues try to widen her eyes. Surely she's dreaming. Selina couldn't be quite convinced to believe this man is actually alive. She saw him in the news. He was announced deceased after being killed by someone in particular Selina has known of that was in her way.
"Welcome to my limousine. I can assure you it's much comfy for you as long as you desire if we have agree on something we both can arrange for our benefits", the bald says, implying he can kick Selina out of the limousine if she turns down his offer.
"How are you alive? And how are you not old?", Selina questions the man before him.
"There are times I almost die or actually die. Count my death certificate in a grand total of 2. Perhaps 3. Or maybe the count has been more. I might've had my life endangered over 40 times because of that boy scout in red cape. No matter on that. What does matter is meeting you, Ms. Kyle. We have a lot to do regarding an enemy we may both hate", said the man. "We either work as allies. Or as enemies".
"You're talking about the kid, aren't you?", Selina questions, in due course noting a changed look on the man's face. "What's the sudden loathing about on him?".
The man chuckles in an evil way before quieting down. "Let's just say from the past, I have been tasked to rid the father's son for restoring the world we wished could never happen. And for that, this boy will suffer and die. Same goes for his family", said the man.
"We?", Selina wondering if this guy is referring to him and herself. "I don't recall the lad ruining me".
"Not you. That secret is kept in the dark", said the man. "Now, are you either going to take part in helping me destroy him or do I have to kill you?". Right after mentioning the word 'kill', he had one of his men ready a gun in case Selina refuses to join him.
Selina looks down, remembering the trouble that boy has caused her. She suffered so much for so many years, and now this boy became the problem. She wants him gone and will make sure any method is possible to remove him from plain sight. She looks back up at the bald man. "I'll join you...", said Selina, preparing to say the man's full name. She may not know how this man is alive but as long as he's on the side of destroying the kid's life, she will accept this help. It could be adequate. They say keeping your enemies like this guy closer is availing inasmuch as the alliance will have its result. "...Lex Luthor".
The man pulls his head a bit closer towards Selina. "Excellent choice, Ms. Kyle", Lex Luthor complimented, liking the alliance. He once had a deep hatred for the man in tights and capes. That was what he once had. Now, somehow, he doesn't appear to have it. Something is different about him. All that hatred is transferred to the boy's father. Revelations will soon be revealed once Lex Luthor decides to reveal it whether it's now or a time way later.
A/N: Surprised to meet a character such as Lex Luthor? Originally, I thought about maybe ending Selina Kyle's story like that until using her for another Ben 10 story. But I decided maybe setting her up for a future story. She and Lex Luthor, as I recall it, don't have that much of a history as Batman and Lex Luthor had. It doesn't matter. Comics. TV shows and movies know how to create their own ways. Especially stories.
If you remember from the beginning of this chapter, a mention has been made on 'Foxteca' by a news reporter. Foxteca is actually a company founded by the Fox family. If you recognise the Batman mythos, the DC Comics stuff, then you should know about the Fox family. Lucius Fox. Luke Fox. They are apart of the Fox family. Foxteca didn't originally exist in the DC Comics. It actually existed in the Batman Beyond TV show, well in it's future era. If you guys have seen the great TV show Batman Beyond, then you might have heard about Foxteca. It's only appeared in one episode in Batman Beyond called 'Black Out'. It never made any future appearances in that show after that.
I really am sorry for keeping you guys waiting for this new chapter. I was nearly finished it with it. I just had to complete the last part of the chapter where Selina Kyle and Lex Luthor. If I didn't choose to include that part, I would've posted the next chapters I created over the past few months. Now that it's done, I can finally post the others later on.
