Peter spent a good chunk of the next few days reviewing the thousand and one scieneros of possible gene therapy for Superboy in his living room.
The brunette rubbed the dark circles under his eyes as he looked over the immense data he collected and found an interesting collection of numbers and patterns. "Hmmm, If I suppress his human D.N.A properly he can access his full power set." he muttered as he drowned in cold coffee.
Peter set down the cup as the last drop slid down his tongue. "What kind of side effects would there be?" he questioned himself.
He looked over his computer finishing his virtual test on the new tool for Superboy and quickly looked over the new set of scenarios for his hypothetical Gene therapy after making several adjustments.
"P.A.R activate." Peter called out and his glasses that laid against his nightstand glowed red and blue. "Show me Superboy's D.N.A aftereffects with Gene therapy scienero three thousand and fifteen with a rest time of three weeks after every one session for three years." A hologram appeared in front of him that he recognized as Superboy's with all the errors highlighted, and a clock appeared above the image which stated zero days.
The clock began changing rapidly and the errors slowly erased themselves from his D.N.A with only a half a dozen remaining but he could see that after the therapy was done a massive improvement could be seen.
"Show me effects with human suppressors on Superboy's D.N.A." fifty percent of the image turned black and the was still bright grew another half. "Compare a sample with Superman and show me the difference." After a moment P.A.R called out.
"No difference found, Pete." Peter raised an eyebrow at the information.
"Remove Superman's D.N.A and present D.N.A after the product has worn off." the perfect replica of Superman's D.N.A disappeared and the human half of Superboy's corrupted building blocks reappeared. "Any negative genetic side effects?"
"No Pete, nothing from what I can see." P.A.R answered the fifteen year old genius.
The brown eyed teen nodded. "Show me side effects after three years." he commanded and after a moment P.A.R spoke again.
"Nothing Pete." Peter began smiling and sat at the edge of his seat.
"After ten years."
"Nothing."
"Twenty?"
"Nada."
"Thirty?"
"Still nothing!" Peter stood up from the couch and looked closely at the D.N.A projected in the air.
'Kryptoians can live for hundreds years, even with the gene therapy he won't ever be a full Kryptonian but a hundred years of active duty seems plausible.' The spider themed hero thought.
"After a hundred years." After several long seconds with Peter, hoping nothing was going to go wrong felt his heartbeat skyrocket as P.A.R spoke again.
"There are no present side effects on Superboy's D.N.A after repeated exposure to human suppressors for a hundred years." Peter whooped in glee and summer saluted through the air.
The young justice team sat with one another enjoying a new movie as Megan the green skinned Martian floated across the kitchen trying to make Nachos.
She finished after a few minutes and sighed at the burnt food she pulled from the oven. "Wally!" The red haired speedster appeared in front of her with an excited expression as he quickly dug into what many people considered inedible food. "Thanks sweetcakes!" he licked his lips, leaving behind an empty try in the sink before repeating next to Conner.
Megan chuckled slightly before floating towards the last available sweat next to Robin who patted her on her shoulder in comfort. "Keep trying Megan, you'll get there." she pouted but nodded at his words.
Pretty soon she and everyone else was completely enveloped in the movie that they were all caught off guard when the nearby computer console began blaring a loud noise.
Robin quickly jumped off the couch, jumping into the console's waiting chair and began typing away. "What's happening Rob's?" Wally sped next to his side and the boy wonder growled.
"Someone is trying to hack into our servers!" Kal'dur along with everyone else's eyes widened, he grabbed his communicator and tried contacting Batman but a moment later the alarm from the computer turned off.
"What's happening?" Artemis questioned with worry.
"Their...their in." Robin muttered in horror which turned into surprise as a familiar, disheveled face appeared on the monitor.
"Dr.Parker?" Wally asked before his eyes widened and his hands flew to his face along with Artemis who quickly turned away.
"Hey! Hi! I figured out the problem.'' The brunette focused on the tall raven haired clone who looked surprised. "Like I said before your D.N.A Matrix is incredibly similar to a test tube baby rather than an actual clone, so I stopped looking at your D.N.A errors as well errors," Peter laughed. "but more like.. birth defects and came to the realization that gene therapy could theoretically bridge them!" Superboy looked confused but Wally's eyes widened at the theory.
"That.. that makes sense! But what part of his cells are defective... from scans, we know while Superboy's D.N.A is damaged, his cellular structure looks perfect." Peter nodded his head at the red head's analysis.
"Yes, but! The cells recognize that they aren't really complete! After extensive studying of Superboy's D.N.A I realized that his cells were trying to.. morph into his father's! So if we introduce Superman's Genes then there's a good chance.."Wally began to vibrate at his words.
"That Superboy's cellular system will take the data and replicate it! Of course!" he pushed Robin out of the way and stood in front of the monitor. "But that's a temporary solution isn't it? Gene therapy works with defective cells and while you say Superboy's cells are trying to morph into Superman's, that's still its natural state." Wally replied and Peter nodded again. "They would eventually disappear without constant blood transfusions."
"That's why we need his cells to permanently change and the only way to do that." Wally jauw dropped and what he was suggesting.
"Bone Marrow! If Superman transfuses his Bone marrow into Superboy's then his stem cells may copy them and..." he practically screamed.
"The rest is history." Peter nodded with a large smile. "Glad we're on the same page, I'm going to transfer my research over to you guys and then you can get started." Peter tapped away before he turned towards a stunned Conner. "Listen Superboy this won't be easy or instatious like Devil's breath and the success rate is much lower but if this works then in three years most of your 'Defects' " Peter raised his hands and made air quotes. "should disappear. You won't be as powerful as Superman but you will have the full Kryptonian power set and while you won't age like a normal human or kryptonian you 'will' begin to age. I wish you the best of luck." the screen went dark and the hall stood quiet.
Robin silently stood up and robotically turned around. "I need to call Batman.'' Before he could step out of the room the screen came alive again and Artemis fell to the floor to hide her face once more.
"Sorry! I almost forgot I made you something as a go between until the rest of your powers natural emerge." Peter pressed a few keys and a blueprint of a rectangular patch presented itself. "This is what I call a Human suppressor; it will, as the name implies, suppress the human parts of your D.N.A letting your Kryponian heritage flourish! You will be just as powerful as Superman on a good day but be warned it only works once a day for six hours and it doesn't turn off and after it wears off you will become extremely weak and irritable." Peter swallowed thickly. "Or homicidal. Maybe somewhere in between, anyway there are no side effects besides the mood swings but don't let anyone else use it!" he pointed a stern finger at the clone teen who still looked completely lossed. "If someone like Spider-Man accidentally put this on then he will turn into a monstrous Spider creature and if a human wears one well they will die almost immediately... So yeah! Be careful!" he exclaimed before the screen shut off.
Artemis stayed on the ground for a few seconds before slowly standing up. "What.. the... fuck." she muttered at the turn of events.
Batman looked over his team who all had weary stern faces. "I think we should bring in Dr.Parker, he has hacked into Mount Justice computer frame and could now be privy to our most precious secrets, we have to make sure not only.. Young Justice is safe but all of us as well." Green Lantern stood up and shook his head.
"Our reports say he hasn't stolen anything, that he only left he's research that we, ah barely understand but he left it, along with a tool that Conner can use to better help us and the world." he stated, defending the genius.
"A tool that can turn almost any animal/human hybrid feral or kill any human in.. who knows how long?" Green Arrow spoke up. "Personally I think the kids' heart is in the right place if Spider-Man's words are anything to go by but he's dangerous." he firmly stated receiving several grimaces. "He gave a highly dangerous substance to Young Justice and from what we can understand a dangerous blueprint that can basically be used to assassinate almost anyone in the world." several Leaguers nodded slightly.
"True but he gave it to them and by extension us. He said so himself if Conner wasn't directly linked to me then he wouldn't have considered it and it's probably the same with this. He trusts us enough to hand over probably incredibly important research and a useful tool.. a dangerous one but useful neither the less," Superman argued for Peter. "without asking for anything in return." a good majority nodded along the man in blue words.
"Maybe instead of putting him into custody we... give him a job." Martian Manhunter told the room who looked at him with surprise. "He is a brilliant young man who obviously wants to help the world and help Conner. He could become invaluable as not only a researcher and engineer but also someone the kids can connect to that's... normal and who knows who they are because let's be honest, even if he didn't steal anything he definitely saw Wally and Artemis faces. Kal'dur, Conner and Megan may have no real secret Identities but eventually they will need them and may need someone their age who hasn't been a Hero since they were eight to help them fit in." Batman and The Flash scowled at that.
"And Spider-Man trusts him, frankly that's enough for me." The green alien sat down and soon the rest of the league nodded in agreement.
"And if he says no?" Batman asked and Shazam scoffed at the question.
"Why would he say no?! We're the Justice League! who wouldn't want to work with us." the larger than life man confidently said and Batman rolled his eyes at the man-child.
Peter stared at the barely stable Parker Particles that floated in the middle of the testing room. After spending almost a week on the Superboy projects he was glad to be getting into his old groove.
He silently stared at the neon green colored glob of energy, slowly typing away at his console and a completely depleted car battery was lowered into the room above the barely stable energy.
Peter swallowed hard as the rectangular object barely touched the surface of the energy before exploding in a violent light.
The fifteen year old male sighed for what felt like the thousandth time before dimming the energy and dismissing it, he walked out of the lab and into a hallway that led to his living room.
Peter quickly flopped onto his couch and turned on the t.v to see the Daily Bugle reporting all the good deeds he had done earlier today. "You're so good to me Betty but I wish I still had Jameson to call me out on my bullshit." he muttered as he sank further into his comfortable L-shaped leather couch.
He briefly closed his eyes and as the minutes slowly passed his Spider-Sense ringed lowly as if a few annoyances would be making an appearance soon. 'If I'm getting Kidnapped again I'm going to break a few kneecaps.' he thought to himself as he opened his eyes to see a team of teenage superheroes. "Oh, hey." he greeted the six teenagers. "How's the treatment coming along." Conner shifted his feet.
"I haven't started yet." Peter raised an eyebrow in question and Aqualad stepped forward to answer.
"We are incredibly grateful for your help but the League at large is having problems understanding it completely, along with the human suppressors." Peter closed his eyes and massaged the bridge of his nose.
"Should have seen that coming, my professors always told me to turn down the science talk with normal people." Peter muttered to himself causing Superboy to crack a smirk.
"What they did understand was that they would need a geneticist to help with the treatment, track his progress and since you came with the plan..." Robin explained and Peter looked at the team of six and knew what they were really asking.
"I will, under three conditions; one I will not be moving, New York is my home. Two, our appointments will be rock solid, they will not be pushed back ever, " he looked towards Conner who nodded firmly. "and three my research outside of anything I do for you guys is strictly my own." Robin looked towards his blinking gauntlet and Peter heard whispering coming from the young boy's ear.
"Deal." Peter stood up and shook the thirteen year old hand.
The glasses wearing brunette stood in between the Man of Steel and the Boy of Iron as they laid on hospital beds under an artificial red sun which weakened their bodies enough for Peter to stick a larger than average needle in Superman's hip.
After several moments he removed the syringe from the Kryponian and quickly twisted on a new syringe top and pierced through Superboy's harder than stone skin and into the base of his spine, injecting him with the Bone Marrow. "Done." he called out and the artificial red sun light was shut down instantly.
Both Kryponians sat up wincing at the slight pain they were in. "Thank you for the help Dr.Parker." Superman nodded towards the boy along with Superboy who gave his thanks, "Conner." he awkwardly waved goodbye towards his clone before quicker most eyes disappeared.
Peter looked towards the silent ravenette whose gaze fell onto the ground in silent disappointment. "Rest for an hour before you do any strenuous activities." Conner grunted lowly in understanding, still feeling a heavy disappointment in his chest but looked up in surprise as he felt a firm hold on his shoulder. "He cares Conner otherwise he wouldn't have done this.'' The blue eyed teen felt the truth in his words but still felt abandoned by what was essentially his father.
As he walked out of the room and into a hall he slowly trudged his way out into the main resting area where he saw Miss Martian in the kitchen, trying to hold onto a pan of burnt brownies.
Peter ignored the green skinned alien and walked towards the zeta tube ready to begin patrolling the streets of New York. "Dr.Parker!'' The brunette turned towards the greeting and saw the martian float towards him before dropping flat on the ground. "Thank you so much for all your help! I know that you didn't have to do this and.. and just thank you." Peter smiled at the green skinned beauty.
"It's no problem Miss. Martian, I'm happy to help." he told the girl and turned back towards the teleporter.
"You can call me M'gann or Megan." she nervously said. "Either or." Peter nodded at the offer.
"Then you can call me Peter, M'gann." The girl's face seemed to split in two. *Thanks!!* Peter left eye twitched at the intruding voice within his mind that sounded like the girl he was standing five feet apart from.
"Ah! I'm sorry! I kn-" Peter held his head up stopping the flustered visitor of Earth.
"It's honestly not a problem, I heard Martians naturally seek mental connections. It was an honest mistake." M'gann slouched in relief, glad he wasn't angry like her teammates were at the beginning.
"See you in a couple weeks, M'gann." Peter waved as he finally reached the tubes and left the Young Justice headquarters.
Spider-Man swinged across the New York skyline searching for trouble to stop but to his joy there was not much trouble to be found.
A few moments later he fell through the air and came close to hitting the pavement but at the last moment spun a web and caught himself, as he swinged on the web like rope
The spider themed hero stopped ten armed robberies, twelve muggings, fifteen attempted sexual assaults, twenty five fires, eighteen sexual assaults in-progress, thirty car accidents, and helped eight little old ladies across the street. 'Pretty slow night, one more hour and then I'll head home, work on Parker Particles.'
"Once I was seven years old, my mama told me, go make yourself some friends or you'll be lonely.~" a picture of a dark blonde, white man with blue eyes appeared at the corner of his vision. 'Curt?' he tapped his right ear and answered the call.
"Curt what's-" the hero was quickly interrupted by the man on the other end.
"Peter! I need you to substitute for me today!" Spidey blinked and looked at the time at the corner of his left eye that read one fifteen a.m.
"Ahhh?~" the young man was unsure of what to say but luckily the blonde on the other end continued.
"I know, I know! You're busy, I mean you not only protect all of New York practically by yourself but you also a Nobel winning scientist whose working on incredible important findings but Pete, Martha's going into labor right now! and... and I don't want to be away from her or Billy or the baby that's coming and I already know none of my coworkers will help, they all hate me, so please, help me!" Curt finished his rant with a pant.
"Yeah, okay." The Web Head easily agreed and Curt gave a sigh of relief.
"Thank you Peter!" "Yeah! Thanks Uncle Pete!" "Agh!! Thank you Peter, I'm glad I- Ugh!! I'm glad I don't have to share my husband today!" all three of the Conners family gave out their gratitude.
"How far away are you from the hospital?" the red and blue suited hero asked as he continued his track across the city.
"Were twen- Fuck!" Curt suddenly cursed with the sound of stretching tires. "With this fucking traffic, an hour or so!" Spider-Man winced before quickly making up his mind.
"I'll track you and carry you guys to the hospital." he easily stated and immediately got denials."Stop, I'm your friend, I have super powers, and you will not have a baby in a traffic jam." The line got quiet before a sigh broke through.
"Will you ever stop being our savior Spider-Man?" Martha asked with an airy laugh causing the teen behind the mask to chuckle.
A shoulder length blonde with plump lips, a button nose and ocean blue eyes that was hidden behind round glasses sat with three of her best friends; a pale skinned, blood haired redhead with emerald eyes. A dark, coco skinned, brunette that reached the shoulder blades with dark brown eyes, and a silver haired, peach skinned blue eyed teen, all the same age.
"When is Dr. Conners getting here! I wanna see the exhibit and the miniature Particle Accelerator that General Techtronics Corporation East is doing." the blonde groaned with impatience causing the other three girls to groan.
" " " We know!" " " the three exclaimed.
"The only thing you talked about more than that exhibit is, Dr. Parker's lecture on Parker Particles and how the energy will change the entire world.'' The redhead's smooth voice suddenly went squeaky at the latter half of her sentence and raised her middle finger to fix her invisible glasses. "I mean, I get it Gwen, he's the youngest Nobel prize winner, the youngest Ph.D holder, he helped save the city but I swear to God! if I hear about that exhibit or about the glasses wearing nerd one more time! I'm gonna- " a voice cleared in front of the class and she went still, the redhead saw the looks of astonishment on the brunette's face, the look of sadistic laughter burning in her silver haired friend's eyes, and the look of horror on Gwen's.
The emerald eyed teen slowly turned around, facing forward and saw a handsome teen with dark slick-back brown hair, a sharp jawline, incredibly expressive brown eyes covered by square shaped glasses, the male wore a dark blue dress shirt rolled up to his elbows with black slacks that matched his shirt and tie.
The brunette looked at the redhead with a questioning stare, his glasses sitting at the halfway point of his nose, slowly he raised a middle finger and pushed it back in it's rightful place causing a few chuckles around the room and an embarrassed blush exploded across her face. "Hello class, as you may have already guessed my name is Peter Parker and as," the teen looked at the seating chart for a moment. " Ms. Watson-" Peter paused for a moment as he double takes at the name.
"Is your Aunt, Anna Watson?" The genius asked, causing the redhead face to stretch in surprise.
"Um... yes?" Peter nodded before continuing like nothing happened.
"Anyway, I'm famous. Yes, a famous person is your substitute teacher and to answer all your burning questions I'm sure you have; Yes I do know Curt we are good friends, I dare say best friends, he was my college professor. No I don't know who Spider-Man is, yes I'm really fifteen and no, I will not tell you why Curt isn't here, if he wants you to know then he will tell you himself. Anymore questions?" Peter asked the silent room and one hand slowly went up and the brunette sighed.
He looked at the seating chart and saw her name. "Yes, Ms. Stacy?" The blonde stood up, revealing a tight black shirt that hugged her body with skinny blue jeans that matched her jean jacket, and black high-top sneakers.
"Um... um I really liked your thesis paper on nanotechnology and how it could revolutionize modern medicine." Peter blinked and opened his mouth several times before a small smile broke from his face which caused the blonde to blush.
"You read that?" Gwen nodded enthusiastically. "And you understood it?" she nodded again and Peter's smile widened, which made Gwen's heart thump rapidly. "You know that's actually impressive, I had to self publish that paper, not many... no one wanted to publish a paper written by a eleven year old on experimental technology with 'only' two master degrees." the short haired blonde giggled at his slight sarcasm. "I.. I actually got my Ph.D just so they didn't have an excuse to reject me again, pure spite." Peter smiled widely.
"Are... are they flirting?" the dark skinned female asked her silver haired friend who nodded.
"Yep and it's amazing, I didn't know she had it in her." she whispered back keeping an eye on the young substitute who seemed to flinch slightly, not that anyone but her noticed.
"Anyway, thank you for the compliment Ms. Stacy but we have to get back to class." Gwen pouted for a moment but nodded and sat back down. "Now what was Curt supposed to teach you today?" The class looked at each other for a moment and Gwen raised her hand again.
Peter waved his own, allowing her to speak again but before she could get a word in edgewise his glasses blinked red and blue. "Ooh! That's Curt right now." Peter tapped the right side of his ear.
"Cur-" the pale skinned brunette was immediately silenced and a few moments later he exploded. "What! Seven-forty! Dude I wasted like five minutes trying to be clever!" most of the class chuckled at his words. "No I didn't notice the class seemed bigger, I skipped highschool, I thought this was a normal class size!" Peter looked at the fifty plus students unevenly spaced out across the room. "Now that you mention it, the room seems a little crowded." the genius teen scoffed a second later. "Yeah, yeah, I'll collect the field trip forms and then quickly escort them to the bus, jackass." Peter tapped the side of his ear again and his glasses blinked back to normal.
The brunette quickly sighed, "Okay class, pass up your permission slips." he called out to the room, a moment later zips could be heard and prices of paper were passed up to the front desks.
"Awesome." Peter said as he set the papers with the corner of Curt's only opened draw. "Now we have..." the brunette paused as his eyes flickered to the corner of his vision. "Three minutes to get to the bus! Everybody run!" the hero in disguise exclaimed, running to the door and holding open for the fifty students who looked startled but quickly followed his orders.
Peter adjusted the folded cuffs on his blue dress shirt, as he sat in front of the bus with Curt's class behind him a moment later the blonde girl from class bounced next to him.
"So, um... Mr. Parker um...?" Gwen asked him with a stutter and an embarrassed blush.
"Yes Ms. Stacy?" he turned towards the small statured girl who's already burning face became completely red at his stare.
"Do you have any experience with radiation? I know that you work with all kinds of energy." Peter smiled at the question and nodded.
"Actually, yes. I actually discovered Parker Particles when studying nuclear energy for one of my old professor's, Max Modell, who hired me straight out of university. It was a complete accident but it rocketed both our careers. I was given all the credit since I was the one doing most of the research and Max was known as the man who gave me a chance and someone who could sniff out talent." Gwen nodded along.
"I heard he created his own school where only the best and brightest are invited to go." Peter snorted.
"Kind of, Max always loved teaching. More than research, more than inventing and he always wanted to teach much younger minds, hated that only a fraction of students had any real way of enjoying the subject and only when they go to private school or enter high level science classes in college that they can really grow their knowledge. He created Horizon high so that any kid that had a passion for science, had a true passion for learning could go and be surrounded by people who share that love with them." The pride in his voice was unmistakable.
Gwen pulled back a strand of hair out of her face and put it behind her ear, as she tried to continue the conversation the bus stopped in front of General Techtronics Corporation East. "Ready to experience... whatever it is were doing here?" The shoulder length blonde giggled and nodded.
"Alright class! Let's get this field trip started!" Peter exclaimed with exaggerated excitement. "Woah hooo!" he hopped off the bus like a cheerleader performing a tuck jump.
"How can someone so sexy... be so goofy?" the silver haired friend of Gwen muttered to the red haired Watson.
"Who knows but it works for him." the emerald eyed female said.
It wasn't long before the entire class was in front of a large machine. "This here is a miniature particle accelerator which accelerates subatomic particles to incredibly high velocity and collides together creating all types of energy by fusing atoms together." a scientist droned on with an uninterested voice, he stepped in front of a computer and began typing away. "There are several ways a particle accelerator can be used but the main way that General Techtronics Corporation East uses them is radioactive material by shooting charged particles at atoms to change them into different, unstable atoms.'' Many of the students looked somewhat interested but a few looked apprehensive.
"Is that safe?" the redhead muttered to her friends in slight fear.
"Absolutely." Peter answered from behind them causing the four girls to flinch at his unexpected voice.
"Don't scare me like that!" Anna Watson's neice screamed-whispered at him and thumped his arm which she immediately regretted as she rubbed her palm in pain. "What are you made of?" Peter simply smiled, causing her freckled face to redden slightly.
"Anyway, the amount of radioactive energy that could realistically emit from this miniature Particle Accelerator is so small it's comparable to a single X-ray, the only way it would become fatal is if you were about this big," he squeezed his index finger and thumb into a size of a pea. "and directly hit by the energy." all three girls nodded in understanding.
As Peter finished explaining the machine began to power up and the separated tubes connected making an airtight circular pipe, it slowly whizzed to life and they could see a bright green beam of energy suddenly appear through a clear window in the machine.
After a minute the energy slowly disappeared and the machine clicked open making a swish sound as air that was trapped in. "Even with the particle accelerator only operating for a few moments, the amount of radioactive waste is astounding, this amount of energy fills a quarter of the container." he lightly kicks a bright yellow barrel that was stationed on the side.
Peter winched as his Spider-Sense blared in a way that was different from anything he experienced since he was eleven.
"Ow!" Peter turned towards the exclamation of pain and saw Gwen rub her hand.
"Eh!" The brunette whipped his head and saw a Asian girl crouched down and rubbing the exposed arch of her left foot.
The world seemed to slow down and almost stood still and his sixth sense increased to world ending levels, he followed where it was trying to lead him but found nothing.
After the presentation the class went back to school right as lunch was beginning, leaving the bus empty.
Peter, knowing his job was done, went into a close alley and tapped both sides of his glasses, his suit forming around him. Spider-Man then leaped into the air and began swinging to the hospital the Conner family was staying at.
As he swung through New York his mind kept wandering to when his Spider-Sense went haywire. In his seven years with his spider-like biology he had only felt somewhat similar when he was in the presence of the Spider-Queen.
He saw the hospital Curt and his family were in and flipped onto the roof, feeling no danger he tapped the sides of his head and his suit receded, leaving him with his glasses.
He walked through the roof entrance, it wasn't long until he entered the OB/GYN wing and walked towards the front desk. "Hi I'm looking for Martha Conners? She was checked in around one O'clock this morning." the receptionist typed away but before she could guide him he felt his shirt tugged on, he turned and saw a little blonde boy he instantly recognized.
"Billy." Peter smiled at the ten year old but instead of returning the smile he looked worried. "What's wrong Bill?"
"I don't know, nobody will tell me anything, I guess mom is still trying to give birth." the brunette nodded.
"Well, I'm sure they'll tell us when it's time. Why don't we hang out until then." Billy nodded with a small smile.
"Want to do a Tik Tok with me?" Peter looked confused at the name but nodded anyway.
Almost two hours later Curt walked down the hall wearing scrubs and a large smile, Peter stood up with Billy standing beside him and a moment later the older blonde man bent down and grabbed his son by his armpits, spinning him around in pure happiness.
The high school teacher then looked at Peter and brought the teen into a side hug. "Come on!" Curt smiled widely and began speed walking down the hall with Billy on his hip and the brunette hot on his heels.
The trio soon entered a room and saw the strawberry blonde Martha tiredly holding two babies in her arms with a warm smile, "Peter? I didn't-"
The superhero scoffed. "You think I was going to miss the birth of my two favorite people in the world's kid...s." Martha laughed slightly.
"Yeah, it surprised us two but it just means we have more love to give." Peter smiled and stood next to the woman as her husband and oldest child stood on her other side. "Anyways Peter, Billy meet Edward Peter Conners," she looked at the baby in her left arm. "and Summer May Conners; one for the man who saved us and the city more times than anyone can count and who has been there for us since the moment we met him and the other for the woman who raised him to be a hero." Peter felt his eyes welling up with tears threatening to fall at any moment.
"Oh God, my allergies are acting up." the teen said as he wiped the tears from his face causing and all three Conners gave a laugh. "Is there pollen in here, you would think a hospital would be alot more hygienic." Curt snorted as he cupped Franklin's head with a gentle hand.
It wasn't long after the field trip that Gwen felt an intense headache hit her, she had decided it was best to head home than to suffer through lunch and three more classes.
As she was walking down the street she wasn't paying attention to her surroundings and then her headache doubled, her head immediately shot up and almost as if time slowed down, she saw a car barrel towards her.
Almost like it was the most natural thing in the world, she leaped almost twenty stories and landed on the side of a nearby building. 'Wha-' she thought with confusion, horror, and awe. "I.. I have superpowers!" she exclaimed with pure excitement, she looked below her, seeing with slightly blurry vision of people but it soon became crystal clear as her glasses fell off her voice. "Ha! Haha!" she leaped upwards and with an almost perfectly summersault, landed on the roof.
"Best... day... Ever!" Gwen screamed as she took a running start and leaped from building to building.
An raven haired girl around fifteen years old that was clearly Asian in origin groaned in the nurses office after holding her stomach, feeling as if her entire body was on fire. "Miss. Moon you're mother is here." the teenager opened her eyes and saw a woman with similar features to her own lean down and kiss her forehead.
"Oh Cindy, what happened?" the older Moon asked and Cindy grumbled, unable to answer. "Come on princess, let's go home so you can properly rest."
