Chapter Six: Catching Up

~Notes~ Hey all. Another update for Angelic. Sorry I haven't updated Daughter or Power I'm having some idea/plot issues with them at the moment. I hope I'll figure them out soon.

~Chapter Start~

Emi's eyes snapped open. The last thing she had remembered was the freakish monster attacking. "Where!" She jumped up ready to fight.

"Emi you're safe," She knew that voice. The voice that comforted her more than any other.

"Shota," Emi smiled seeing her husband reaching for her. The two embraced quickly. Holding each other tightly.

"I almost lost you," Shota said softly.

"Sho," Emi smiled holding fast.

"Sorry to interrupt," the two looked to see a doctor in the doorway.

"Oh hey," Emi smiled. "I guess I missed my checkup eh?"

"Just a little," The doctor replied with a chuckle.

"Aizawa-san I do have a report for you," The doctor said giving Emi a kind look.

"I knew it," Emi nearly shouted.

"Knew what?" Shota asked his full attention turned to the doctor.

"Confirm it for me," Emi said to the doctor while smiling at her husband.

"Your wife is pregnant," The doctor confirmed. Emi smiled watching to see Shota's response.

The world had stopped. Everything had been ground to a halt. Those four words had stopped Shota dead. Pregnant. Emi was pregnant. His WIFE was PREGNANT! He was going to be a father.

Shota turned to look at his wife. His eyes drifted down to her belly. Where HIS unborn child was. The child he almost lost. His wife and child were only alive thanks to Izuku. His hands started shaking. He had come so dangerously close to losing everything. But he hadn't. Emi was alive. Their unborn child was alive. He WAS going to be a father. A smile slowly drew a crossed his face.

"Emi," Shota said slowly.

"Shota," Emi replied tears forming in her eyes. Shota dropped his hands on Emi's sides. He gently put his forehead to her stomach. His eyes closed as he imagined his future.

"I can't wait to meet you," He whispered before kissing Emi's stomach.

"Shota," Emi cried seeing her husband reacting so strongly.

"We're going to be parents," Shota said looking up at Emi.

"A home full of laughter and smiles," Emi smiled.

"You deserve nothing less," Shota stood and hugged Emi.

~Unknown Location~

"It worked like a charm," Ujiko laughed as he looked at a picture of a winged boy.

"Of course it did," All For One chuckled. "The foolish heroes will always jump to help and in doing so they reveal their hands,"

"All we have to do now is capture him," Ujiko grinned. "With a healing quirk like his, we'd be unbeatable,"

"Now now doctor no need to rush. We need to learn more of this boy's quirk," All For One commented.

"Of course. I'll get a spy ready," Ujiko bowed a smile still etched on his face. He knew exactly who he would use.

"You've never failed me," All For One smiled darkly.

~With Izuku~

Izuku groaned as he sat up. His body felt weak. "What happened?" Izuku looked around.

"You passed out. Apparent quirk exhaustion," A kind voice replied.

"Recover girl?" Izuku leaned forward to see the aged hero sitting at her desk. "I'm back at U.A.?"

"Yes after you passed out Nezu had a Present Mic pick you up and bring you back. He's also informed your mother," Recovery Girl explained as she turned to look at Izuku. "You've done a great thing today but you also pushed yourself far too hard. You'll need to get better control. Not everything needs to be healed," She added.

"If I can fix it why shouldn't I?" Izuku asked.

"Do you know the extend of what you did for some of those people today?" Recovery Girl asked.

"They get to return home?" Izuku asked confused.

"You have dozens of people who want to see you know. To thank you for what you did," Recovery girl started. "One man was paraplegic, a young girl was blind, and one woman should have lost her baby. All four of them are fine and dandy,"

"That's good," Izuku replied.

"No, what I mean is the man can now walk. The girl can see. Your quirk heals things that shouldn't be treatable," Recovery girl explained. "At this point, I'm worried that there are drawbacks we aren't seeing. Something is going to give if you keep doing these miracles,"

"Well I'll fix that bridge when I get to it," Izuku replied.

"I don't know why I thought you'd say anything different," Recovery girl groaned. "Just stay put for a bit longer. You need to rest,"

"Yes Ma'am," Izuku replied before laying back down.

~Nezu's Office~

"I figured after school would be the best time to speak to you," Nezu said looking at the young student before him. "You've leveled some pretty heavy allegations against your uncle in this well-written application,"

"I know he's been doing something to me. He watches me like a hawk when I'm home. Makes sure I take my pills and rarely lets me have any free time," Minoru Mineta explained.

"Have you managed to bring us these pills?" Nezu asked.

"It took a while but yes. I was able to sneak one of each," Minoru replied.

"If you please," Nezu pointed to a tray. Minoru obeyed and placed the pills down.

"I don't need to do tests. I know what both of those are," Nezu looked to his left to see Detective Tsukauchi looking at the pills.

"Both of them?" Nezu asked.

"The green one is Physical Limiter or Squeeze as it's known on the streets. Squeeze is a quirk drug made in America. It heavily combats a body's natural ability to grow. It's probably why Mineta-san is as diminutive as he is. No offense,"

"None taken. What's the other one?" Minoru asked.

"It's Blank. It is a quirk suppressant drug. It targets and weakens quirks almost like the reverse of Trigger. Thankfully it doesn't stay in the system very long. A day or two without the drug and you're quirk will start to repair and return to normal. Probably a week or two at most and you're quirk will be fine again," Tsukauchi explained.

"How long have you been on these pills?" Nezu asked.

"Since I was eight right after my uncle took me in," Minoru answered.

"How long does Squeeze last in someone's system?" Nezu asked.

"If he's been taking for this long there is no telling how long it will take for the effects to wear off. All I know for sure is once they start wearing off. It's going to hurt," Tsukauchi replied.

"Hurt?" Minoru asked.

"Once Squeeze has run its course your body will start to shift back to normal. Basically, you'll do six to seven years of growth in a few months. You'll probably be hospitalized for the duration as you'll need massive amounts of nutrients and vitamins to handle it," Tsukauchi explained.

"But what happens now?" Minoru asked.

"Well obviously. I'm going to have your uncle arrested for a whole host of reasons," Tsukauchi said smiling at Minoru.

"And of course U.A. will shelter you. Unless you have someone you know that can take you in," Nezu added.

"I don't have anyone," Minoru replied.

"Another thing to blame on your uncle I feel," Nezu said solemnly. "But enough of that. How about a game of Shogi?"

"Sure," Minoru nodded and the game was started.
