A/N: So this is the shortest part and the least likely to have happened. According to my premed/EMS friend, they told me that the fall would've killed Rachel and Batman, even with the help of the cloak. They told me they found it the most amusing part of the "realistic" Nolan universe. Then again, my friend has a weird sense of humor so...make of that what you will.

Finger Street

I screamed as I slipped and slid down the smooth glass.

Batman lunged after me, his hands out to grab mine.

Unfortunately, he grabbed my hands just as we both tumbled off the roof.

"Wrap your arms around my neck and your legs around my waist." He ordered, grabbing the edges of his cloak.

There was something so soft and reassuring about his voice that I did as ordered.

His cloak billowed outwards, forming a parachute of sorts.

While it did slow down our fall, we still hurtled towards the ground over twenty stories below.

I had stopped screaming and just squeezed my eyes shut, waiting for the painful impact.

"When I say now, relax your body and let go of me. I promise you you'll be safe." He commanded.

I nodded as the seconds passed.

"NOW!" He yelled.

I let go and relaxed my body as ordered but kept my eyes screwed shut.

We crashed on the hood of a cab that happened to be sitting just beneath our fall.

My heart was still racing as I opened my eyes. Batman was lying next to me, one arm beneath my shoulders. "You all right?"

I nodded, dazed from everything that had just happened. "Add skydiving to my list of things to never try." Then I remembered… "Harvey and Helen. Are they…?"

"They're safe. Wayne saw to that."

I relaxed, "Thank you."

By this point, a group of bystanders had surrounded us. They helped me off the cab. I could tell I was going to have some nasty bruises come morning. "I'll call the cops." I said "You need…?"

I turned back to Batman…but he was gone.

I didn't even hear the fluttering of his cloak.

"Thank you…" I whispered as a Laughter is the Best Medicine truck sped by.
