Hey gang, sorry I haven't updated in a while, but to be fair I have like, several, other stories to write as well as my own life to attend to. But regardless of that, sorry.
Now, why am I here writing an author's note instead of the actual story? Well, that's because I might not be any more.
Hold on! Let's not get ahead of ourselves here, I'm not just cancelling Spellslinger. Well, I sort of am...? Let me explain.
Whilst looking back over all my work and writing style, and actually writing chapters for my fanfics, I found that I wrote better things in my own way, freestyling a bit. And the stories that I stuck to the script? They felt bogged down and less fun to write, and came out slower since I felt obligated to not tarnish what was there.
And so we come to the REAL announcement.
SpellSlinger is no more.
And shall be replaced with an entirely new story. Its name? Well, I haven't exactly figured that out yet, but I do have a vision for it!
Pretty much I want to push Pif (who you all know as Paris. Shh! Secret.) into a more spotlighted role, maybe even taking over Eda's role as Luz's mentor. I'm also going to be completely overhauling the entire story, and only be using the original series as a setting and timeline. Anything else? I want to flow organically.
So instead of decorating somebody else's house, I'm going to be building my own. So to speak.
If you have any ideas you'd like to share, or suggestions for its title, I'd love to hear them! I hope to make this far more entertaining than my original idea for it, and bring my ideas for an interwoven fanfic series to come to fruition!
