Disclaimers: I own nothing except Jack, his story arc, and any other changes I make to the story. This is owned by Disney and DC comics.

AlphaGodzilla19: They will eventually.

Rosebud66: I love how enthusiastic you are. Jack, won't always go by Dor-el. He at the moment doesn't want to be called what Angella and Micah named him so he's going by his Kryptonian name as a form of teenage rebellion. When he forgives Angella, he'll go back to Jack mostly, though he'll have some identity issues, due to being the son of two worlds.

Guest 1: I ship them too.

Guest 3: I'll try and consider poll the suit if I get more suggestions.

Jerry: It isn't better, but Jack/Dor-el is a different character than Clark/Kal-el and has his own different stories, with some similar to Clark's and some same villains. I decided to change the name to show he's a different character than Clark. Not better or worse, just different. I do prefer Jack but I am biased. Sorry you don't like the name though.

JD: Yeah he is. Thanks.

Bobby: Dor-el is the best name I could come up with, do you have anything better?

Wes: Why'd you think that?

Sam: Thanks for your ideas, but I'm honestly not sure where I'm going Darkseid wise.

Tobby: I didn't have room last chapter, and the rest of the chapter will be about preparing for the season finale.

Guest 4: Darkseid exists and will appear during the latter part of the story. I'm not going to use that because I don't know how I'm going to use him, and I might take inspiration off of your legend but, not including it until later during the season.

Guest 2: Mermista will have all her parent's abilities.

Guest 5: I love her character, and think she's pretty tough.

Guest 6: Yeah, they make each other stronger.

Guest 7: Yes, there's a connection between Darkseid and the Horde.

Alex: He might be, I haven't thought much into his character and story, yet.

Tony: Yeah, there'll be a little bit of a love triangle.

Guest 8: I'll keep that in mind, it'll be easy enough to do.

Chapter 12: The Beacon

"Hey, Jack," Adora says as she enters my room.

"It's Dor-el now," I say.

"Why are you calling yourself that," Adora says.

"Because Jack, is the name Angella gave her son, and I'm not her son," I say.

"It's also the name of Glimmer's brother, the name of Bow's friend, the name of the man I care for," Adora replies.

"I hadn't thought of it that way," I consider. "Look, no matter what name I'm using, it isn't going to change that Glimmer's my sister, or Bow's my friend, or the way I feel about you," I say.

"Why didn't you tell me how you felt?" Adora asks.

"Because I know how you fell about Catra," I reply.

"I…I, Jack, I…," Adora stutters.

"I know how you feel about me, too, but I was so scared that you would chose her over me," I say.

"Look, I don't love her anymore, not after what she did to you, and Glimmer and Bow," Adora says.

"But do you love me?" I ask.

"Yes… but… but it's complicated," Adora says.

"Complicated? What's complicated? H…How's it complicated?" I ask.

"I'm scared of who your becoming," Adora says.

"I'm still the same man you feel in love with," I say.

"No, you're not. You murdered Black Manta. The man I love wouldn't do that," Adora says.

"I did it for us! I did it for all of us, the whole planet, to keep everyone safe," I say.

"Black Manta isn't!" Adora shouts.

"The Horde murder! We let them go! They murder again! History repeats itself!" I shout.

"The man I feel in love with, was compassionate, he cared about everyone's lives, he had hope," Adora says.

"Well, I'm fresh out of hope. I can't see anything worth fighting for anymore," I say.

"I was so in love with Catra that I was blind to the darkness that was consuming her, I'm not going to make that mistake, I won't support you whilst you go down this dark path. I won't just watch and let you become like her," Adora says, before walking out of my room.

How could Adora think that? How could she think I could ever be like Catra?

I watch as the Horde tanks blast the village's houses to blowing them up. I see dead body's around me. I try to destroy the tanks without killing the people inside. I get shot in the back by one and scream. As I wake up I scream and my heat vision blasts the roof. I close my eyes. My breaths are unsteady. I start shaking. I try to get up but I fall back on the bed, so I curl up in a ball. "Jack, are you okay?" I hear Angella says. I try to say something but I just can't. "Jack, I know you're mad. And I'm so sorry, just please, say something," Angella begs. "Please, open the door, talk to me, do something honey," Angella says. "If you don't do or say something to let me know you're okay I'll open these doors," Angella says. She then waits a moment before opening the doors. She sees me shaking on my bed curled up in a ball. "Jack, what's going on with you. Please talk to me," Angella begs. I breath unsteadily, tears building up in my eyes. "Just calm down and-," Angella says.

"Just leave me alone!" I scream at the top of my lungs. My scream sends a shockwave that shatter all the glass and the pendalogues which falls. Angella who is directly under the chandelier the shards of the pendalogues falls towards her. She jumps out of the way. I look at her speechless tears falling from my eyes, as I see her ears bleeding, and the look of fear in her eyes. "…G-g-go," I say.

"Jack, I…," Angella says.

"Just go!" I plead, looking her in the eyes. "Please," I whisper. "Please," I repeat even quieter. Angella walks out.

Angela's P.O.V.

As I walk down the castle's walkways, I hear Jack's voice. I follow it and see him sitting at a stool by himself. "Hey, Kate," Jack says. "I really wish you were here right now. I miss you every day but today, I could really need you. Everyone else in my life has put all these expectations on me, do the right thing, stop the Horde, lead the Etherians to peace. You're the only person who never put their expectations on me. I don't know what I'm supposed to do, every time I make a choice, it feels like I'm making the wrong one. Every time I talked to you, things used to become so clear. Nothings clear anymore. And I know you can't hear me, but I just wish… I wish… I wish there was a sign, something that showed me things were getting better, a sign, a sign that I'm going in the right direction, that everything would just be okay and if it came from you, I'd believe it," Jack says. "And I'm talking to myself, now, maybe I really am going crazy," Jack says, getting up and leaving.

Jack's P.O.V.

I hear a knock on my door. "Who is it?" I ask.

"Jack, it's me open up," Glimmer says.

I sigh, before getting up off my bed, and open the door. "What the hell happened in here," she asks.

"Had a nightmare, Angella heard the scream and came to talk to me, I got upset and scream at the top of my lunges and this happened," I explain.

"What's going on with you. You're the one who tells me not to hold grudges," Glimmer asks.

"well, this is more complicated than a small argument. She hides something that I deserved to know. She lied to me every day about everything. She sure as hell wasn't perfect but at least I trusted her. Now how can I be sure that every single word that came out of her mouth wasn't a lie. How can I know that she wasn't just using me as a weapon, that she might just be manipulating me? How can I know if she loves me?" I ask.

"Jack, you can't think that," Glimmer says.

"Well, I can't not," I say.

Glimmer powers starts glitching and she screams. "Glimmer, Glimmer. What's happening? How can I help you?" I ask, grabbing her arms. It slowly stops. "What just happened?" I ask, concerned.

"It's nothing," Glimmer says.

"It didn't look like nothing," I say, I snap. I take a quick breath. "What happened? Please, I want to help you," I say.

"Well, Shadow Weaver had me in her room, and held me with the dark magic force field. Adora, gave herself up to Shadow Weaver in order to get to me, but Shadow Weaver said she was going to whip her memories. I used all my power to try to free myself and I did, and I hit Shadow Weaver but ever since I've been glitching and I can't teleport," Glimmer says.

"Why didn't you tell me!?" I ask.

"It's not a big deal. It's probably like a cold," Glimmer says.

"We don't know that? We don't know what it's going to do to you," I say.

"I'm… I'm sorry I didn't tell you. It's just with everything on your plate with you dying I didn't want to burden you with this," Glimmer says.

"It's alright. But Glimmer you need to know you'll never be a burden to me, you're my sister," I say. I hug her, and she hugs me back tightly.

"I need to go," I say.

"Go where?" Glimmer asks.

"The Fright zone. Shadow Weaver needs to pay," I say.

"Jack, don't go. You'll die. I can't lose you again, please, please, don't leave me," Glimmer says.

I gulp. "I won't. I promise, I'll never leave you," I say.

Time skip.

"What is this?" Glimmer asks as I take her to my space ship.

"This is… uh… my fortress of solitude," I say. We enter the fortress.

"Wow," she says as she looks around amazed.

"Hello, Dor, I wasn't expecting you back so soon," Jor-el says.

"Who's this?" Glimmer asks.

"This is the consciousness of my birth father," I explain. "uh… Glimmer meet my father Jor-el, Jor-el meet my sister, Glimmer," I say.

"Uh… hi," Glimmer says.

"Hello, Glimmer it's a pleasure to meet you, I appreciate you looking after my son for all these years," Jor-el says.

"Your welcome," Glimmer says.

"Dad, Glimmer was hurt by something, her powers won't work and they look like their hurting her, or something, please, is there something you can do to help her?" I ask.

"I'll try," Jor-el says.

Time skip.

"I'm sorry, I can't help her," Jor-el says.

"Why not?" I ask.

"Her sickness is mystical, and nothing science based can help her, the only thing that'll be able to heal her is something or someone with magic," Jor-el says.

"Thanks for trying, Dad," I say. I turn to Glimmer. "We need to tell the others," I say.

"Adora already knows," Glimmer says.

"Well, we'll tell Bow and come up with a plan to help you," I say.

"Fine," Glimmer says. "And I have an idea to fix this, I'll just go and recharge," Glimmer says.

Time skip.

"I can feel you watching me," Glimmer says, lying in the recharge thing.

"I am not," Bow says. Glimmer opens one eye and Bow backs away, and sitting on the floor.

I take Adora down the corner. "Why didn't you tell me about Glimmer?" I ask.

"I thought she told you," Adora says.

"Ah," Glimmer says. Adora and me turn to look at her. "See, I told you. Just needed to re…," Glimmer says, before Glitching. "It didn't work," Glimmer says.

"Work? It made it worse," Bow says.

"Glimmer are you up there," Angella asks.

Adora, who's walked to the balcony, ducks down. "Uh, guys, we have a problem," Adora says.

"We cannot let my mom see me like this!" Glimmer shouts. Glimmer says, trying to get rid of these dark sparks.

Angella flies up. "There you are, Glimmer. Are you feeling better?" she asks.

Glimmer forces a chuckle. "Whoa, Mom, can't a girl recharge in private?" Glimmer says. "Anyway, we were just leaving. Bye!" The four of us run. "Glimmer, do not walk away from me," Angella shouts harshly. "I just wanted to talk," she says.

Time skip.

"Maybe, it's like a cold. I've never been sick before. Having an immortal mother has some advantages. What do you do when you have a cold?" Glimmer asks.

"Remain out of sight," Adora says. We all give her a look. "What signs of physical weakness are strongly discouraged in the Horde. And they're right. I haven't been training enough, and look what happened," Adora says before punching a chandelier.

Bow gets in front of her. "Stop it, Adora. They're not right," Bow says. "Okay, cold. Um… lots of liquid and, uh, rest," Bow says. He gasps. "I'll make soup!" he shouts.

"Great, and I'll nap. I bet when I wake up I'll be as good as new. Yeah, just gotta let it run its course," Glimmer says.

"We're not letting anything run its course. You're getting worse," Adora says.

"No, I'm not," Glimmer says.

"Okay, maybe a little," Glimmer says.

"Look, you got sick because of whatever dark magic Shadow Weaver made with the black garnet. Maybe the sword can heal you. She-a healed the tress of Plumeria," Adora says.

"Uh… sort of, not really," Bow says.

"Well, She-ra definitely fixed the Sea gate," Adora says.

"Glimmer's not a machine. You don't know how to fully control She-ra's power yet. No offense," Bow says.

"That is a great idea. She-ra will fix me and everything will be back to normal. How hard could it be?" Glimmer says, as she takes Adora away from Bow.

"Did no one hear what I just…?" Bow says.

"For the power of Gray skull!" Adora says transforming.

Time skip.

"ooh," Adora says, swinging her sword. She then thrusts and swings her sword. "The… Eternia… heal," Adora says, thrusting her sword in the air. She then puts the sword in front of Glimmer. "Heal," Adora says.

"Glimmer, who's ready to stop messing around with sharp objects? Hey, look I am!" Bow shouts.

"Maybe if, you point it at me?" Glimmer says.

"Or, unpopular opinion don't point a sword directly at our friend," Bow says.

"It's fine, I got this," Adora says, cockily.

"Maybe it's like a motion. Like a jabbing motion? Or a strike," Glimmer asks.

"Do you want to get hit with a sword?" Bow asks.

"Glimmer, that's too far," I say.

"Can everyone please be quiet? I have it!" Adora says. Adora raises the sword above Glimmer's head, and she closes her eyes.

"Am I the only one who cares about sword safety around here?" Bow asks. Bow covers his eyes with his hand but peaks through it. The swords start's glowing. Adora slowly opens her eyes and sees it's working. She gasps and lets out a huge smile.

"I think it's working," Adora says. Adora taps Glimmer with it on top of the head.

"Yup, defiantly working. I'm pretty sure I feel something," Glimmer says. She then starts glitching and screams in pain. Glimmer flops down on her bed. Adora throws her sword in frustration.

"Sword safety!" Bow shouts.

Time skip.

"What good am I if I can't heal one princess?" Adora asks, picking a pillow. "Why even carry a sword?" she asks.

"Adora, your sword isn't your power. It's your persistence. It's your strength to keep going on matter what. And it's more powerful than anything in the world. Don't give up on yourself like I did. Because if you believe in yourself, you can do anything, I know you can," I say.

"Thanks," Adora says.

I sit next to Glimmer. "Dad used to say that to us," Glimmer says.

"I just… Glim… I needed to help Adora, that's all," I say.

We hear knocking on the door. We gasp. "Everybody, just act normal," Glimmer says. She then opens the door. "Mom, we're busy," she says.

"I won't be long. You two are requested to dinner with me tonight. Alone," Angella says.

"But Mom!" Glimmer complains. "I'm really tired. Can't I just stay in my room and rest?" she asks.

"I'm sorry, I don't know why I said request. It's not a request. You are required to have dinner with me because I'm your mother and… I'm also the queen so I can make you," she says.

"Yikes, she played the queen card," Bow says.

"No need to answer. I'll see you both in an hour," Angella says. Glimmer shuts the door as Angella leaves. Glimmer starts glitching again.

"That's it. I can't just stay here and be useless. Bow is right. I don't know how to use my powers," Bow says.

"I didn't say that. Or not that exactly," Bow says.

"The Horde has a lot of things wrong. Okay, pretty much everything. But one thing they are right about is training. And how can I train if I don't know anything about She-ra? I'm going to go somewhere I can learn. And then I'm going to fix you, Glimmer," Adora says.

Glimmer gasps. "How? Can you do it in like an hour?" Glimmer asks.

"Probably not, since I'm not sure where I'm going. I need to find the place Madam Razz took me. I can't explain it, but I can get answers there," Adora says.

"Running away. Great idea. I won't have to go to dinner with my Mom. I'll get my things," Glimmer says.

"No, I have to do this on my own," Adora says. Adora then jumps out the window.

Bow runs to the window, and looks down. "She's okay," he says.

"I hope she stays that way," I say.

Time skip.

I'm sitting down in my room. I hear a knock on the door. "Jack, can I come in please?" Angella asks.

"Fine," I say, sighing. She opens the door. "What do you want?" I ask.

"To talk. Can we?" Angella asks.

"I can listen," I say. She walks over and sits down on the bed next to me.

"I'm sorry. I should've told you the truth years ago," Angella says.

"Why didn't you?" I ask.

"I was afraid," Angella admits, ashamed.

"Of what?" I ask, looking her directly in the eyes.

"That you wouldn't love me if you knew," Angella says.

"Of course I love you, you're my Mom," I say. Angella practically leaps into a hug with me. I take a few shallow breaths before hugging her back as tightly as I can without hurting her.

Time skip.

Glimmer and em enter the dining room, were Angella is standing waiting for us. "I gave the staff the night off so it be just us. And I made both of your favorites," Angella says. We smile. "Well, I didn't make it, but I had the kitchen make it before I gave them the night off," she adds awkwardly.

"Thanks," Glimmer says.

"Thank you," I say.

"Glimmer, we've hardly had a chance to talk since you returned," Angella says.

"Well, not much to talk about," Glimmer says.

"Not much to talk about? You were kidnapped! And lost a friend during the escape and-," Angella says.

"I get it, Mom. I failed," Glimmer interrupts.

"That's not what I-," Angella says. Glimmer then starts Glitching. She screams and falls to her knees. "Stop! Make it stop! Glimmer what happened to you? What aren't you telling me?" Angella says.

"Don't yell at me! I know I messed up, okay? I know I'm a big disappointment," Glimmer says.

"What are you talking about," Angella says.

"Entrapta died trying to rescue me, the Princess Alliance is over, and Shadow Waver did something to my powers! I'm sorry I couldn't be perfect like you. You have no idea what it feels like to be such a screw up!" Glimmer says.

"I don't know how you feel? I got your father killed!" Angella shouts.

"W-What?" I ask.

"I ordered the battle your father perished in. I've never forgiven myself," Angella says.

"I-I didn't know that," Glimmer says.

"Yes, well, you never talk to me," Angella says. "Why didn't you tell me you were sick?" Angella asks.

"Because I was ashamed. I acted without thinking, the exact thing you're always telling me not to do. I teleported right into their trap. The alliance is over, and I'm to blame," Glimmer says.

"Oh, Glimmer, I'm the one who failed. If I hadn't let the first Alliance fall apart after your father died, none of this would be happening," Angella says.

"You feel like a failure?" Glimmer asks.

"Don't make the same mistake I did. I should have kept fighting. And you should, too," Angella says.

"But the other Princesses, they all quit. You don't think the Rebellion is done?" Glimmer says.

"With my children leading it? Not a chance," Angella says.

"Even without my powers?" Glimmer asks.

"Glimmer remember what your dad used to say, your magic isn't your power. It's your persistence. It's your strength to keep going on matter what. And it's more powerful than anything in the world. Because if you believe in yourself, you can do anything, I know you can," Angella says. "If we believe we can do this and work together we will be able to do this. We'll figure this out. Together," she says. The three of us hug. This is the first group hug we've had since Dad died.

I hope you loved this chapter as much as I did.

If you have any suggestions please give them to me in a review and until next time, Ant boy out.
