Rosebud: Yeah, I have a great first kiss planned don't worry, but there isn't enough room to do it in these chapters. There'll be a lot of unfinished stuff that'll go over to the next season.
Also, I did a continuous fight scene that lasts over 5000 words. If it's too much, please let me know in a review. And I apologies.
Chapter 14 The battle of Bright Moon
"It's coming from the Fright Zone. Whatever is happening, the Horde is causing it," Adora says.
"The whispering Woods are freezing over. What do we do?" Bow asks.
"We have to get home. We have to make sure everyone at Bright Moon is okay," Glimmer answers.
Time skip.
We're flying but because of the clouds, we have no idea where Bright Moon is. "Look," Bow says, and points at the Bright Moon distress signal.
"That's Bright Moon," Glimmer says. "it's the distress beacon," Glimmer says.
"Hang on," Swift Wind says.
Swift Wind lands us and we see our Mom. "Mom!" me and Glimmer shout hugging her. "What's going on?" I ask
"The elements are out of harmony. The Moonstone is using all its power to counteract the cloud of darkness. But it's not enough. It's taking all my strength just to keep my connection with it," Angella says.
Adora transforms back to normal. "The cloud is coming from the Fright Zone," Adora says.
"So what's our plan? We have a plan, right?" Bow says.
"The woods are frozen over. There's nothing left to shield Bright Moon from the Horde. We have to prepare for an attack," Adora says.
"We should evacuate the citizens for in case the Horde attacks," I say.
"Evacuate to where," Angella asks.
"My alien space ship. They'll be completely safe from the Horde in there," I say.
"Some of us will need to prepare for the attack," Angella says. "Me, Glimmer, and Bow will prepare. Jack, you and Adora will evacuate the civilians," Angella says. We all nod in agreement.
Time skip.
After I got all the civilians to safety I sit in front of the armor my dad showed me. "We've got all the people here, we should go help the others," Adora says. I don't react. "What's it with you and that suit?" she asks.
"You heard what my Dad said, that I should put on that suit and be a beacon of peace and protection and lead the world into a brighter future," I say. "I don't know if I'm ready for that. I don't know if I'm ready to go out and fight out there either. I'm not sure I'm strong enough to fight for my home, or for you," I say.
"Jack, you are. Jack, neither one of us has been perfect but we've helped each other from quitting, and we'll help each other end this war the right way, because we're at our strongest together. You don't have to have this all on your shoulders alone, you've got me to help you carry the load," Adora says.
"Thanks, that really helps," I say.
Time skip.
"Our scouts reported sighting the entire Horde army in the woods, moving towards us at top speed," Bow says.
"We must protect Bright Moon at all costs. If the Moonstone is destroyed there will be nothing left to stop the darkness," Angella says.
"Someone must've seen the beacon. Why hasn't anyone come?" Bow asks.
"The alliance is broken, and the other princesses have their own kingdoms to protect. No one's coming, Bow," Adora says.
"Someone's come!" a guard says.
"Is it the princesses?" Bow asks. The guard moves out of the way to reveal Netossa, and Spinnerella. "Oh," Bow says, disappointedly. "Spinnerella and Netossa," Bow then says with a fake cheerfulness and a forced chuckle. "Thanks for coming guys," he says
"You still don't know what we do, do you?" Netossa asks, annoyed.
Bow tries to think. "Uh… no," he says.
"Seriously, it's in the name, Net-tossa," Netossa says. Bow looks confused. "Nets. I toss nets, okay?" she says angrily.
"Yes, darling, you have beautiful nets," Spinnerella says.
"Well, I'm glad the two of you are here. We need all the help we can get in this fight," I say, offering my hand. They both shake it.
"Well, at least you've got powers, which is more than I've got. But it doesn't matter. I don't need magic to fight," Glimmer says.
"Glimmer, not only are you without your powers but you're still glitching. It's dangerous," Angella says.
"But Mom…," Angella says.
"Your Mom is right. I don't want you risking yourselves. She-Ra and Jack ca do this alone. This is what she's for," Adora says.
"Adora, not even She-Ra or Jack can out an army if Horde soldiers on their own," Bow says.
"Then what good is she?" Adora shouts. Adora then walks off. Bow, Glimmer, and me look at each other before following her outside. She's standing watching the red lighting strike.
"Adora, are you okay?" Glimmer asks.
"Catra will be leading the Horde when they attack. I have to face her. I can't let her hurt anyone else," Adora says.
"What happened to you in that First Ones temple?" I ask.
"I saw Catra in there. I thought I could get through to her, but all I did was push her farther to the side of evil. Light Hope said I'd endanger my friends by coming back and she was right. Everything that's happening now is my fault," Adora says. Glimmer then runs over and gives her and hug.
"You got this. And we got your back," Glimmer says, Bow and me join in on the hug. "Now, come on. The Horde will be here soon. We have to be ready," Glimmer says.
Time skip.
Glimmer opens a door. "Welcome to the Bright Moon Armory!" Glimmer exclaims. Bow, Adora and me look around. "Well, not really, but I've been stashing weapons in here for months," Glimmer says.
Bow gasps. "Dibs on the arrows," Bow exclaims, bumping past Glimmer and running to snatch the arrows, laughing as he does so. Adora bumps past Glimmer too. I walk in without bumping Glimmer not as excited as the others. Glimmer groans. Bow grabs some arrows. Adora rejects Swift Winds idea, and Glimmer grabs a staff.
"Glimmer," Angella says, from outside the door.
"Mom! How did you know we'd be in here?" Glimmer asks.
"Do you really think I wouldn't notice you hoarding weapons?" Angella asks.
"I'm sorry, Mom. I just can't stand by while my friends and my home ae in danger. I have to do this," Glimmer says.
"I know," Angella says.
"Mon, I… Wait, what?" Glimmer asks.
I've been trying to mold you into someone more like me. but you're too stubborn and hotheaded and brave, like your father," Angella says, she then magic's a staff into her hand and passes it to Glimmer. "This was your father's staff. I think it's time you had it," Angella says. Glimmer has tears in her eyes, before hugging Angella. Bow sheds a tear.
I then hear something in the distance. "Guys, there twenty minutes away. We need to go," I say.
"For the Honor of Grayskull!" Adora shouts, she transforms but this time has special body armor, and her tear is bigger and bulkier and some other changes.
"Whoa. Nice new suit, it looks good on you," I say.
"I could say the same about yours," Adora says.
Time skip, No one's P.O.V.
Adora, Bow, Glimmer, Swift Wind and Jack are standing far in front of Bright Moon in their new armor, alongside, Netossa, Spinnerella and Angella. Jack flies up and use his heat vision to draw a long line in the ground, behind him and his friends. "What's with the line," Netossa asks.
"The Horde's weapon that can fire the longest distance, could only hit Bright Moon from past this line. We have to make sure they don't cross the line at all costs. If they do, we loss. And we will not lose as long as we fight this together," Jack explains.
"Yeah," Adora, Bow, Glimmer, Spinnerella, and Netossa exclaim.
Jack hears that they're less than a minute away. "Look, however this ends, I want you to know that it's been an honor fighting alongside each and every one of you," Jack says.
Glimmer grabs his hand. "Don't talk like that Jack, we've got this. Like you said, we can't loss," Glimmer says. He gives her a smile and a small nod.
"Don't let them cross the line. For Bright Moon!" Jack shout. He then starts flying in the air. The Horde's army arrives, with its men, tanks and droids.
Catra sees Jack and her eyes widen in shock. "No, you're dead," she says.
"Well, what can I say, reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated," jack says, mockingly. "Look, kid, turn your army around and go home, there's no need for any more bloodshed. But if you don't me and my friends will have no choice but to force you back there the fun way," Jack say, seriously.
Catra growls. "Fire, kill them all!" she shouts. The tanks, and droids and the men start firing. Jack blasts the tanks with his heat vision in their fuel, causing it to blow up in 10 seconds giving the Horde soldiers time to escape, and also destroying the droids with his heat vision. Black Manta fires his helmet laser beam at Jack, and he falls to the ground.
Adora jumps in the lake and swings here sword across the water with so much force it creates waves which knock over several tanks. She cuts over the hatch only to find a bomb; she gasps before the bomb goes off blasting her to the ground. Soldiers on these cruisers pass her firing at Glimmer, Bow, Swift Wind, Angella, Netossa and Spinnerella.
The five of them fight back except for Angella who leaves to protect the Moonstone. Angella charges the Moonstone a little and it sends out a shock waves that destroys or damages the Horde's weapons. One of the Horde cruisers charges at Adora and she strike the cruiser straight through the side causing it to crash into a mountain. Droids aim at Adora but Bow takes one out with his arrow. Adora looks up to see Glimmer and Bow riding Swift Wind. Glimmer jumps into Swift Wind and stabs it in the side, jumping off of it before it explodes. Bow fires another arrow blowing up a droid. Adora then throws her sword into a larger stronger droid. A tank aims at Netossa who's attacking a droid with her back turned to the tank. Adora's sword transforms into a shield and blocks the blast. She lands on the ground on her two feet. She looks back to see Netossa's okay. The tank then fires another blast, but Adora wasn't ready for this one and she is not only shot back, but loses a grip on her shield and now it's a long distance away from her. Adora's eyes were hurt by the blast and she searches for her shield in front of her. Adora looks up to see Catra. "Hey Adora," Catra says.
Manta fires another laser beam that Jack dodges. Jack starts to hover. Manta fires a third laser which Jack dodges. Jack then fly straight at Manta. Manta fires at fourth laser but jack flies around it and then punches Manta in the stomach sending him flying.
"I'm gonna kill you and then I'm gonna kill Mermista," Black Manta says.
"Good luck with that," Jack say.
Manta then pulls out a Kryptonite dagger. Jack feel lightheaded and dizzy. "Still favor your chances, hero boy," Manta asks.
"Hell yeah," Jack replies. The two of them run at each other.
"Catra. Surprised to see me?" Adora asks.
"Not really. It wouldn't be that easy to get rid of you," Catra says. Adora yells as she runs at Catra. Catra jumps onto a rock sticking out the side of a mountain behind her. Adora hits the tank Catra was standing on instead crushing it. "You know I'm actually kind of glad you did make it out of there alive," Catra says. Adora's face softens. "Because now, I can take you out myself," Catra says, retracting her claws. Catra then pounces off the rock with her claws directed at her prey.
Bow and Swift Wind fly away as a Horde cruiser follows them firing at them. Glimmer jumps onto the speeding Cruiser and takes down both of the Horde soldiers on it. Glimmer then backflips off of it and lands on her feet. But she lands in front of Scorpia and her goons on their cruisers. "Isn't that nice? You've accessorized. Not that it's going to help you," Scorpia says. Then Spinnerella flies in front of her in a tornado she created which she uses to push Scorpia and her goon's cruisers away with them on it. Netossa then throws a mystic net which covers them. "Boom. Nets," Netossa says.
Manta swings the dagger at Jack. Jack ducks under it and then punches Manta's helmet two times. Manta swings his dagger and Jack blocks it with his armored arm and the armor protects him. Jack then grabs Manta's helmet and punches him in the face three times in the same place. Manta then swings his Kryptonite dagger at Jack's head. Jack puts his arm in front of Manta's, stopping him from thrusting his knife into Jack's neck. But Manta's armor has these mini rocket launches in the arms thrusting his hand and the knife slowly forward. Jack tries and punch him but Manta grabs Jacks fist with his other hand. Manta's knife reaches Jack's neck and it starts bleeding.
Adora charges at Catra angrily, each of the blows powerful enough to probably take out Catra with one hit but Catra keeps dodging them. Catra strikes Adora in the face after a missed punch. Adora falls to the floor. "Tired already? Punching is supposed to be the one thing your good at," Catra mocks. Adora throws a pebble at Catra which hits her in the head.
"And I thought you were supposed to be quicker," Adora replies. Adora then leaps up to a rock in the side of the mountain that Catra's currently standing on and punches at her but Catra dodges. There seems like there's no were to go as Catra is on the edge with no higher one. Adora punches at her but Catra jumps off and lands on one bellow. Adora then leaps down and punches it, shattering it. "Give it up, Catra. There's no way you win this," Adora says.
"I already made it a lot farther than anyone thought," Catra says, Catra then kicks a stone at Adora face, which she blocks with her metal bracelets, Catra. Catra then uses that distraction to climb up the mountain and then leap at Adora. Adora tries to punch Catra but Catra flies over her lands on Adora's shoulders and slides down them onto her back. She then claws into Adora's back. "You on the other hand, you're not looking so good," Catra says.
Jack then kicks Manta in the stomach sending him flying only for his jet boots to catch him. Manta then fires his laser beams at Jack. Jack fire his heat vision at Manta's laser beam. Manta's laser beam pushes Jack's back. Jack is try to get better leverage to help him, but Manta is just walking forward calmly like he's already won. Jack's heat vision gives out and Black Manta's laser blast him to the floor. Black Manta then jumps at Jack with the Kryptonite dagger. Jack grabs Black Manta's hand that Manta's holding the knife in with both his hands holding it up, and pushing Manta's hand and the knife backwards. Manta then puts his other hand on top the one with the knife pushing his hand and the knife downwards. Jack struggles to keep the blade up.
Adora runs backs. Into the side of a mountain knock Catra into it, which hurts both of them. Adora tries to punch Catra but Catra leaps above it. Catra disappears. "This isn't over," Adora says.
"Of course it's not over," Catra says. Catra leaps onto Adora's back, causing Adora to fall to her knees as Catra scratches her face before running off. "It won't be over until Bright Moon is destroyed and the rebellion falls. It won't be over until darkness covers Etheria forever. And it won't be over until I see the look on your friends faces when they find out you failed, that, you were too weak to save them," Catra says. Adora starts glowing, and she pulls out a large amount of earth from the ground and throws it at the rock handing out of the mountain side.
"Don't worry Prince, your friends will be joining you in death," Black Manta says.
Jack feels something dark rush through my body. His eyes go red. He then pushes Manta in the air and miles away. Manta uses his rocket boots to land safely. "Don't you dare threaten them!" Jack yells. He flies at Manta. Manta fires a laser beam at Jack, but Jack circles around it so, Manta stops and swings the knife preparing for Jack's attack. Jack punches at Manta and Manta swings his dagger at Jack's fist. Jack punches it and it shatters completely, causing Manta to fly back. Manta gets up but Jack punches him dozens of times leaving him powerless to counter. Manta tries to fire at Jack with his helmet laser beam but Jack rips off Manta's helmet. Manta pulls out a laser gun. Jack grabs it and scrunches it up like paper. Jack then grabs Manta by the neck his eyes glowing even brighter red than before. "You threatened my friends! My family! You tried to destroy my home! I'll kill you! Catra! Your army! Use you all as an example as to what happens when you threaten what's mine!" Jack shouts, his heat vision powering up to finish Manta off.
Adora walks over to Catra who's hanging off the side of a mountain. Adora grabs her by her shirt pulls her up and bangs her against the wall. "Enough! You've lost Catra," Adora says. Catra's frown turns into a smirk.
"Yes, do it! Kill me!" Black Manta shouts. Jacks red eyes flicker, and his breath pace quickens. "Kill me!" Black Manta says, and Jack listens to his heart beat and realizes he isn't lying.
"You don't want to live. You want to die, because you have nothing to live for. You went down a dark road of vengeance and it took everything from you, your humanity and your will to live. I won't lose those. I will not become you," Jack says.
"Kill me, don't kill me, it doesn't matter, I've already won," Black manta says.
"What does that mean?" Jack asks. Black Manta just grins. "What does that mean!?"
"Jack, they've crossed the line!" Bow shouts. Jack turns to see tanks firing at Bright Moon and being defended by a mystic shield.
"You sure about that?" Catra asks. Adora turns to look and see the tanks and robots firing on the force field protecting bright Moon and it crack and break. Angella creates one around herself. "What? Did you really think this was about you?" Catra asks. Catra then knocks Adora over and jumps above the mountain. "That Runestone is your last defense, isn't it?" Catra asks. She then laughs. Adora runs into the battle. "have fun," Catra says.
Jack throws Manta into a broken tank before flying off.
Glimmer hits one of the droids with her staff. She then sees the Runestone get fired upon. "No!" Glimmer shouts glitching.
Angella looks to see a droid marching towards her. She then looks back up at the Runestone.
Glimmer knocks out two Horde soldiers before running up the stairs. Scorpia who's in front of Glimmer up the stair puts her tail in front of Glimmer. "So, where were, we? Oh, yeah. I was about to punch you," Scorpia says.
Adora bashes a Horde soldier away as she runs through the battle field. Adora punches a Horde soldier, then kicks another. One runs at her from behind but flips them. "Where's my shield?" Adora asks. Adora scans the area for it. A horde soldier lasso's her from behind but this lasso electrocutes her. Slowly more Horde soldiers come around and put these lassos on her.
Bow hits a horde soldier with his bow. Bow's panting when he sees a glow. He looks down to find Adora's shield. "Uh-oh," Bow says. He then looks over and sees Adora screaming as she's being electrocuted.
Angella is struggling to maintain her focus. A horde bot climbs up and marches towards her. Angella uses as much power as she can expend to fire a beam at the robot. The robot slides back but hits a wall, and then starts moving forward again. She creates a force field around herself but the robot blasts through it. Angella is knocked to the floor. Her maintained control over the rune stone fails and darkness consumes the skies. The Horde soldiers just watch.
Scorpia bashes Glimmer into the side of a mountain. Red electricity hits the rune stone. Glimmer sees and loses control over her glitching. "Ah. Pretty," Scorpia says.
Jack flies, across the battle field, using his heat vision, ice breath, and super strength to destroy several tanks. A couple dozen of the tanks turn at him, while the rest focus on Bright Moon. The tanks fire at him but he dodges their blasts. Jack then see the rune stone. "Mom!" Jack shout, but before he can do anything he's shot by the cannon of a tank and crash to the ground. He tries to get up but he's hit by a continuous laser stream. I use my heat vision to push the laser back. A second laser moves next to the tank and fire a laser that hits his heat vision and with the power of the other tank added to its own it pushes Jack's heat vision back instantly and hitting me, affecting his eyes most of all giving him a burning sensation. Jack puts his hands in front of his eyes block the laser from hitting him there and marches forward. A third tank lines up beside the two and fires. The force combined with the others pushes him backwards. Jack put a leg behind him and uses it to give him more leverage. He realizes something, he can't move now, he can barely stay where he is. He's trapped. And the lasers are starting to get pretty painful.
Adora is on her knees. Catra saunters over, as Adora can barely keep her eyes open. "Now it's over," Catra says. Catra strokes Adora's hair with her fingers. Adora fails down due to the electric shocks.
Glimmer push Scorpia back and aims her staff at her. Glimmer is still glitching. Glimmer smiles. Scorpia and Glimmer run at each other Glimmer using her glitching to zap Scorpia and knock her off the stairs. Glimmer is panting a little as she walks to make sure Scorpia's down. She sees something flying up and aims her staff to prepare herself. It flies up and is just swift wind. "Come on," Swift Wind says. Glimmer hopes on Swift Winds back and Swift wind flies her over to the rune stone tower. Glimmer gasps as she sees a Horde robot over her knocked out mother. Glimmer jumps on it and stabs it. She then jumps off of it and Swift Wind flies into it with its hovers, knocking it back.
"Mom," Glimmer says, running over to her mom. The ground there standing on starts to shake.
"Princess," Glimmer says.
Jack's P.O.V.
The blast starts burning off my skin. I fight to remain conscious. The heat from the laser cauterized my cut wounds from my fight with Manta. "I'm sorry, Adora. I'm sorry," I say.
"Mom, what are the point of these power if I can't use them to help others?" I hear my voice ask
"You're not invincible, Jack," Mom's voice says.
"I know. You can ground me or punish me as much as you like but if I see someone in danger I'm gonna help them. It's just how you and Dad raised me," I hear my voice say.
I breath in deeply.
"Mom! Adora is a good person. She's kind, caring, and loyal. She didn't know what the Horde was doing. They manipulated her. She saved my life! She saved our lives, she saved all of Thaymor. I-I trust with my life," I hear myself say.
"Ah, I meant about before, I heard you defend me to your mother, and I really appetited it," Adora's voice says.
"Hey, what are friends for," I hear myself say.
"I told queen Angella I would. Besides people like me better as She-Ra," Adora's voice say, before chuckling, "Could Adora do this."
I smile at hearing Adora's voice.
I hear my chuckle. "Yeah, very useful for our mission," I hear myself say, sarcastically, with an amused tone.
"I can see through things. The ground, houses, machines…," I hear myself list.
"Clothes?" Adora's voice asks, flustered.
"Yeah," I hear myself say. There's a brief pause. "Oh, uh, I learned how to turn it off and on."
"Oh, ah, right," Adora's voice says, laughing sheepishly.
"Soon isn't good enough! These people expect me to save their land. I thought I was better as She-Ra, but I'm useless no matter what form I take," Adora's voice says.
"Adora, you are not useless! You are strong, and determined, and have a drive to help others before yourself. If you trust your instincts and don't give up on hope or yourself, I know that you will figure out a way to help these people," I hear myself say.
"I know that look! You've got a plan, don't you?" I hear myself ask.
"Yeah, I think I do," Adora's voice says.
"That's my girl!" I hear myself cheer. I clear my throat. "Ah, let's go," I hear myself say, awkwardly.
I move my body into a kneeling position.
"Aw, Best Friend Squad is having a pillow fight," Bow's voice says.
"Yeah, we're not calling ourselves that," Adora's voice say's says.
"I prefer "The Glimmer Group"," Glimmer's voice say.
"Nah. We're the best friend squad," Bow's voice says.
I close my eyes.
"That my mom wouldn't let me work with you guys anymore. I've never really fit in. Even with Bow, or Glimmer, or my mom and dad. I felt a bit, hollow. That changed the day I met you. I don't know why but, something just instantly clicked. Being with you this past month has been some of the best days I've ever had. I was terrified I was going to lose that," I hear myself explain.
"Ah, thanks. You know it's-it's really late, and I-I better be off," Adora's voice stutters.
"What's going on between the two of you? Why are you acting so weird?" I hear myself ask.
"It's just, what if Bow likes his new friends better than me? What if everyone does? what if I'm left behind?" Glimmer's voice asks.
"Hey, Bow, he cares about you a lot. And that's not just something he's going to forget about you. And even if he does, you'll still have me, because, little sis, I'll never leave you," I hear myself say.
"Thanks Jack," Glimmer's voice says.
"Go, talk to Bow, sort things out. Tell him how you feel," I hear myself say.
"I will," Glimmer's voice says.
"I better get back to Mermista," I hear myself say.
"Hey, take your own advice. There's something going on between you and Adora, and whatever it is, you two need to figure it out," Glimmer's voice says.
I move my hand blocking the laser from my eyes, and move it to my kneeling leg.
"Look, I need to know, what's going on between you and Adora?" Mermista's voice asks.
"What are you talking about?" I hear myself reply.
"Come on, when you two talk I feel like I'm the third wheel. I just want to know; do you love her?" Mermista's voice asks.
"I… I mean… that's a little…," I hear myself stutter.
"Do you love her?" Mermista's voice repeats.
"I… I don't know," I hear myself admit.
"For what it's worth, I'm so sorry this is happening to you, and I'm really going to miss you," Mermista's voice says.
"It's worth a lot," I hear myself say.
"It was an honor fight beside you, Prince Jack," Kaldur's voice says.
"It was an honor for me too, Kaldur," I hear myself say.
"Adora, I love you," I hear myself say.
I put my hand on the ground.
"Why? I'm a lost cause Adora. When I said I jumped off the cliff because I was in so much pain. It was true, but it was more than the poison. With everything, the pain of remembering what Catra did to me, falling to save Entrapta, losing all faith in Angella. I just feel completely broken and like there wasn't anything worth continuing to do this. I'm so tired of all the pain, of losing everything. Of watching people die. I'm sick of it. I don't want to live in a world with so much pain in it," I hear myself say.
"So change it," Adora's voice says.
"It's not that simple," I hear myself say.
"When I found out what the Horde really was it felt like my entire world was in ruins. But you helped me. Made me believe that things would be okay again, and now things are. You're right that the worlds horrible right now. That it's full of pain and betrayal and evil. And you're right to want to escape. But if anyone can change it, it's you," Adora's voice says.
"You will give the people of Etheria an ideal to strive towards. They will race behind you, they will stumble, they will fall. But in time, they will join you in the sun, Dor. In time, you will help them accomplish wonders," Jor-el's voice explains.
I create a field that affects the gravity around me.
"I'm sorry. I should've told you the truth years ago," Angella's voice says.
"Why didn't you?" I hear myself ask.
"I was afraid," Angella's voice admits.
"Of what?" I hear myself ask.
"That you wouldn't love me if you knew," Angella's voice says.
"Of course I love you, you're my Mom," I hear myself say.
"I'm trying to protect you," Adora's voice says.
"No, you're trying to protect yourself. Because your scared of having to deal with pain, the pain of failure, of loss. But there is no life and no love without loss. And if you try to escape, to hide from it, you won't be living at all. It's what I was trying to do when I jumped. Everything I went through, getting hurt, losing Entrapta, finding out my mom's secrets. I didn't think things would ever be okay again. I didn't want to live with all this pain. That's why I jumped. But you saved me. You helped me. And over time, I learnt to deal with it. Life isn't the same as how it was before, but, but somehow it's still okay. I'm glad you never gave up on me, and now I'm not going to give up on you," I hear myself say.
"Jack, I love you," Adora's voice says.
I let out a cry as I raise my fist on the ground and launch into the sky, and fly as high as I can where there is still oxygen. The extra sunlight up here helps my regeneration and my burned off skin heals.
"I love you, too," I say. I listen below, and hear Adora capture, and my mom waking up from unconsciousness.
We can't win, we have to retreat.
I fly down to my Mom. "Mom," I say, kneeling down to her.
"Jack, what's going on down there?" Angella asks.
"We're losing, we have to retreat," I say.
"No, if we leave, they'll destroy the moonstone, darkness will consume Etheria," Angella says.
"And if we don't our teams going to die," I say.
"No, we can't leave, this is where I married your father, were I raised you, I can't leave," Angella says, tears falling from her eyes.
"Mom, you told me that being a leader has a horrible burden, that you have to protect your people, no matter the personal sacrifice. This is the personal sacrifice mom," I say.
"Okay, we'll retreat," Angella says.
"Glimmer, Swift Wind, get Mom out of here. I'll get the rest of our friends," I say.
Glimmer pulls me into a hug. "Be safe Jack," Glimmer says.
"I will, Glim," I reply.
I then start flying again.
Adora is in a mystic net with Bow, Nettossa and Spinnerella. Catra leading dozens of horde tanks are aiming their cannons at them. "Come on, don't give up yet, please. We can still fix this right?" Bow asks. Adora picks up her shield and looks up into the mirror of it. "Please, tell me we can fix this," Bow says.
Adora looks up as Catra hops onto one of the tanks and they power up their cannons. "I… I'm sorry," Adora says.
"It's okay," Bow says, hugging Adora. Nettossa and Spinnerella join in too. I then hover above them. The princesses and Bow look at me with hope. I drop down. My landing purposefully cracks the ground for miles. This frightens the Horde. I slowly raise my head up, revealing my glowing red eyes. I slowly get up.
"leave now, or I'll kill every one of you," I say.
Every person in the Horde, including Catra is too scared to do anything. Catra's eyes then widen. "He's lyin-," Catra says, about to call my bluff, but these bubble of water start floating confusing her. Mermista then comes using her powers to create a wave that is moving her ship. Alongside her is Kaldur and Sea Hawk. My heat vision dissipates upon seeing her.
"Adventure," Sea Hawk says, lighting up a candle.
"Don't do that," Mermista says, splashing him with water.
"Sorry," Sea Hawk says.
The wave is coming at us, but this hole opens up in the wave in front of us so we don't get hit, but the rest of the Horde do. Mermista, Kaldur and Sea Hawk jump down. "Ta da!" Sea Hawk says.
"Mermista, Kaldur, Sea Hawk, you came," I say excitedly.
"Yeah, sorry it took so long. The sea kind of sucked today," Mermista says. She uses her powers to stop put out the fires on Bright Moon. "I'm glad you're okay," Mermista says to me.
"And I'm glad I got to see you again," I reply.
"That suit looks really good on you, by the way," Mermista says.
"Thanks," I reply.
Catra coughs as she gets up. "Come on, get up!" Catra shouts at her men. Her men are then grabbed by vines. So are the cannons on the tanks and Catra herself. Perfuma riding on a massive vine comes over to us.
"I saw the distress beacon. Are you all okay?" Perfuma asks.
Adora looks to her left to see Bow next to her, followed with Nettossa, and then Spinnerella. On her right she sees me, followed by Mermista, Perfuma, Kaldur and finally Sea Hawk. Adora glows yellow.
Catra cuts through the vines. She sees use, use united. She then climbs onto a tanks and aims it at the cannon at the Moonstone tower. She then fires it at the tower and it starts to fall over. I fly to it. "No," I say. Suddenly ice forms around it and it stabilizes it. Ice then comes out of the ground and knocks a few tanks away. Frosta slide in on an ice pathway.
"I hope I'm not too late," Frosta says.
"No. you're right on time," Adora says.
Adora then lets out a golden light. The glow reaches the Moon stone and it causes it to glow again. Angella starts glowing and then does Glimmer. Glimmer starts laughing. "Go on, go get them," Angella says. Glimmer tears a little before teleporting.
"Yes!" Glimmer shouts as she teleports next to us.
"Glimmer your sparkling again!" Bow shouts.
"Yeah. What did I miss?" Glimmer asks.
"The princesses are united. This is how it's supposed to be," Adora says.
"What do you say? Ready to finish this?" Mermista asks Perfuma.
Perfuma chuckles. "Thought you'd never ask."
"We're in," Netossa says.
"Let's do this already," Frosta says.
"Alliance…," I say, starting to fly. "… show them what we're made of."
Mermista uses her power to make a wave that knocks out some Horde soldiers. Perfuma uses her to grab a couple of tanks. She then creates leaves in the air which Frosta freezes and uses to freeze tanks. A tanks fires at them. Netossa gets in the way. She creates a net which contains the blast and then throws it back at the tank. Black Manta aims his laser blaster at Mermista. Kaldur hits him with a hammer made out of water. He is sent flying at me. "Mermista," I say. I then flick him knocking him towards her. She hits him with her trident.
"That was satisfying," Mermista says.
"Yes, yes, it was," I say.
Spinnerella sends wind at Horde tanks and also lifts Mermista's ship into the air. With Sea Hawk and Glimmer on it. They light it on fire and Spinnerella essentially throws it at three tanks. Bow running on one of Perfuma's vines. He fires an arrow. Glimmer teleports next to him. She teleports him and he fires three arrows which knock out Horde soldiers. Glimmer then teleports them to a rock. Adora who's riding Swift Wind fires at tanks. The Horde are retreating. Adora jumps down to where Glimmer, Bow and me are. Adora's sword starts glowing. Glimmer, Bow and me touch it. The other members of the Alliance go in and touch ours and each other's in a line. It sends out a rainbow that knocks away all the Horde soldiers.
Everyone starts cheering and hugging each other, except me and Adora. I just let out a long wide chuckle of pure joy. "We did it. We did it," I say, for the first time in my life unable to contain my pure joy. Adora just stands there and watches Catra run away with the Horde.
"Adora, it's over. Bright Moon is saved," Bow says.
"And the princesses are finally united!" Glimmer shouts. "We did it."
"That's how it's done in the sea," Mermista brags.
"Good job girls. Onto the next," Netossa says.
"Yeah! We did this thing together," Frosta says.
"Isn't this wonderful," Perfuma says. Frosta hugs Perfuma. Angella flies down. Everyone besides Bow, Adora, Glimmer, and me bow down to her. She walks past them and even shakes Mermista's hand.
Glimmer gasps and runs over to her. And Angella runs to meet her half way in a hug, while I walk and hug them. Angella holds out her hand and invites Adora and Bow to join in the hug. Adora is unsure but Bow pushes her into it. Swift Wind joins in and Angella wraps her wings around him. "Thank you," Angella says to Adora. Adora transforms back to her normal form tears of joy failing from her eyes.
Time skip.
I go to the fortress to the civilians, with the help of Mermista, Perfuma, and Swift Wind. "I saw what you did, Dor," Jor-el says.
"Really," I say.
"What you and your friends did was spectlaur. I'm proud of you, son," Jor-el says.
"Thanks dad," I say.
Time skip.
"Hey, Jack," Adora says.
"Adora," I say.
"You didn't kill Manta, or any other members of the Horde," Adora says.
"No, but I wanted to," I say.
"Then why didn't you?" Adora asks.
"I saw what could happen if I did. I'd risk losing my humanity and will to live. And whether or not it's selfish, I couldn't," I say.
"It wasn't selfish Jack, your humanity is what makes you the hero you are and the man I love," Adora says. Adora leans in to kiss me. I move back. Adora looks shocked and confused.
"I-I can't," I say. Adora raises an eyebrow. I then run away at super speed.
Time skip.
One of the guards comes over. "The queen requests to speak to you," a guard says.
"Ok," I say.
I walk over to the throne room. "Hey, Mom. What did you want to talk about?" I ask.
"I wanted to thank you. For making the choice I wasn't willing to," Angella says.
"It wasn't necessary. We won," I say.
"But it could've been, if the other princesses didn't show up, we would've lost. And you made the most sensible choose," Angella says. "Jack, I think you're ready to lead," she says.
"I-I'm flattered you think so Mom. But I'm not ready, not yet," I say.
"Well, when you are, the throne will be waiting for you," Mom says.
"Thank you," I say, giving her a bow.
Time skip.
Catra walks over to Hordak, and climbs up the stairs to his throne room. Scorpia and Entrapta walk beside her. "Force captain, it seems your experiment has failed," Hordak says.
"On the contrary, the experiment was a huge success. I know more about First Ones tech more than ever. This is just the beginning," Entrapta says.
"I got closer to bringing down Bright Moon than anyone ever has. Not to mention the Whispering Woods is still in ruins. Etheria is ours for the taking," Catra says.
Hordak gets up and walks towards Catra. "Very well, Force Captain Catra. You will have other chances to prove your worth to me as my second in command," Hordak says.
Catra has a sly smile and looks at her friends.
When Catra and her friends leave Hordak pulls out footage of the Kryptonian in the battle. "You might have survived for now, Kryptonian, but I will kill you, and then take Etheria, for Darkseid," Hordak says.

I wasn't sure if the fight scene was too long, but I decided to do it and hope that a 5000-word long fight scene wasn't too much. I'm considering doing fight scene this long and maybe longer for each season finale. If this is a problem for you, or if it's something you'd enjoy please let me know.
I also wasn't sure whether the thing with Jack remembering his friend's words to motivate him was too cheesy or just annoying.
Also, I only have a few loose ideas for what I'm going to do for season 2. But I wouldn't mind some suggestions or any ideas. They'd be appreciated. Especially for characters like Perfuma, Angella, Frosta, etc. as I feel that they didn't get much story's past season 2 and would like to change that.
Also, I'm not sure what I should do with Mermista and Jack. Option 1 Have Jack, Mermista, and Adora in a love triangle and Jack rejects her and she moves on with someone, or Option 2 have Jack with both Mermista and Adora. I don't really mind either option and not sure what one I should choose.
I'm also saving some stuff, like Jack getting called Superman or him kissing Adora for season 2 so you'll have to wait for that.
I'm not planning on writing this until I come up with a good chunk of ideas for what I'm going to do for next season, so I might take a while.

"We got a signal from a Kryptonian space craft," the female, Faora, says.
"Where?" the man asks.
"We haven't figured that out yet," Faora says.
"Investigate it thoroughly, and then report back to me," the man says.
"Yes, General Zod," Faora says.
