Chapter 3-Touchdown. (Special thanks to Incrediblesfan1 for the request! By the way, I saw your review on Elastigirl Rewound. Great story ideas, but I must ask what The Incredibles: Therapy is about.)
Eric continued his search for Dash in another town, having been through three others in the past couple of days. He had no luck finding Dash, but he did gain more intel on the Restaurant Thief.
"I turned for a second to get the sauce and the pot was gone! So was the entree!" said a chef at a restaurant that served soups.
"I don't know what happened! I turned away and then the meal I made for Nami was gone! I bet our captain ate it!" said a chef with curly eyebrows at what appeared to be a pirate ship.
"We went to get fries and the meal we made for that family just vanished!" said a woman at a McDonald's.
Later, after stopping to grab a bite to eat, searching for a restaurant thief having made him hungry, Eric continued his search for Dash.
"Man, hard to believe that a kid could turn out like this after an argument with his family." Eric said.
Back at the Parr House, the Parr Family was feeling terrible, knowing they were partly the reason for Dash running off. Suddenly, their communicator rang. Helen answered it and was shocked to see the face of the criminal.
"Incredibles." he said.
"How did you get this frequency?!" Bob asked.
"Simple. First, let me introduce myself. I am the Technomaniac. I specialize in many kinds of technology, including the ones that almost killed you all those months ago. Speaking of months ago, this boy, who I took this communicator from, just so happened to be where I am right now, Nomanisan Island." the villain said before he moved the camera around so that they saw the beaten Dash, which horrified them.
"Yeah, I gave him a couple of whacks with a crowbar, an electric baton, and my fists a bit." the Technomaniac said before he laughed, which made the rest of the Incredibles really angry.
"Just wait till we get there to give you a piece of our minds!" Helen said.
"Afraid you can't do that. You guys come here after me before my new project is completed, I'm afraid this will only be mercy compared to what I'll put him through next." the Technomaniac said.
"This is just great! We finally know where to find our son, and we can't even go get him!" Bob said.
"What do we do?!" Violet asked.
"There's only one thing." Evelyn said before she grabbed the communicator.
Elsewhere, Eric was asking about the Restaurant Thief.
"The entree was there, but when I served the customers, it was gone!" said a waiter.
"One second, I have a burger in front of me, the next thing I know, it vanished!" said a business lady.
Later, Eric sat on a dock, trying to figure out who the Restaurant Thief was when the communicator rang.
"What's up?" Eric asked.
"Eric, we just got contacted by the villain Dash let get away! He has him on Nomanisan Island!" Helen said.
"Well, then, let's go get him!" Eric said.
"We can't! The Technomaniac said he'd hurt him worse than he already has if we tried to go rescue him!" Helen said.
Eric thought about what she said for a minute before he said, "Did he mean you guys or all of us?"
"Everyone except you." Helen said.
"Well, then, I'll go get him!" Eric said.
"Eric, it's far too dangerous!" Bob said.
"I have to try. I didn't come this far after agreeing to help you guys for nothing." Eric said.
"Well, all right, but be careful. There's no telling what you might find on Nomanisan Island." Violet said.
Eric went down to the docks and asked a few of the boaters if they were making trips to Nomanisan Island. Only one was, so Eric hitched a ride with them and they arrived after an hour and a half.
Eric wandered through the jungle before he came to the building. He walked up to the front door before he heard footsteps. He ran and hid in the bush before he saw the villain come out.
"Now, since the Incredibles can't save their precious little boy, I have plenty more time to test this suit on him." the Technomaniac said. While his back was turned, Eric ran inside the facility before the doors closed. Once they did, he hurried through the facility, keeping an eye out for anyone else who might be in there.
Eventually, he arrived at a door that was labeled, "Containment". He opened it after using a hacking device built into the communicator. He walked in and saw that Dash was held there and badly injured.
"Hurting a kid like that. That just makes me mad!" Eric said before he walked over and examined the control panel. He finally saw a big red button and, bracing himself for anything that might happen, pressed it. He saw the restraints deactivate and Dash fall. He rushed and caught him by the back of his shirt. He then set him in a chair.
After some time, Dash awoke and looked around before he saw Eric and looked alarmed.
"Take it easy." Eric said.
"Who are you?" Dash asked.
"The name is Eric. Your family sent me." Eric said.
