Auction: Drunk Sex
Back to School - 79: Emerald
Assignment 5 - Psychiatry - 3. Write about someone wanting intimacy/sexual contact.
Let's sleep on it tonight
James, Regulus and lots of alcohol equals a big mistake. Or what they try to claim is a mistake. Fade to black. Jamulus. (mention of Wolfstar only)
James' back hits the door as Regulus pushes him against it. He can smell the alcohol on Regulus' breath and can taste it on his lips, and he grabs a handful of Regulus' emerald-green jumper and pulls him as close as possible.
Regulus fumbles with the key, his fingers brushing James' hip as he tries to push the key into the keyhole, without removing his lips from James'. It takes a couple of minutes, and if James were a more sober man, he'd worry about Remus and Sirius, or any other stag-do guests - stumbling upon them.
He's drunk enough to not care.
The door swings open and bangs against the wall. James falls through the gap and Regulus laughs as he looks down at James.
"You going to keep laughing, or you going to come in here and put those lips to better use?" James mutters, because the only thing that matters right now is getting Regulus out of his stupid clothes.
"I think your mouth is more useful. You talk too much anyway," Regulus says. James makes to stand up, but Regulus pushes the door closed behind him. "No. Stay there, on your knees. Good boy."
James smirks up at him, as Regulus starts to pull at his belt.
"Want an out of this world experience?"
Regulus grins slowly. "Somehow, I don't doubt your skills."
When James wakes up, it takes him about thirty seconds to realise that this isn't his room. Another minute to realise that someone is in the bed next to him, and he's not sure how long he stares at Regulus Black before it occurs to him that he's had sex with his best friend's brother.
He's going to be killed, he realises, as Regulus' chest rises and lowers slowly as he sleeps, unaware of the panic that James is suffering from. James considers slipping out of the bed and sneaking away like this never happened, but that might be worse.
IF he remains, at least they can talk about it. If he leaves, Regulus… well, Regulus deserves better than a bloke that'll run as fast as he can in the other direction after sex. A polite conversation can sort this out. Hopefully.
So he reaches out. He gently shakes Regulus' bare shoulder, and then he realises that he's still naked.
He scrambles out of the bed to find his underwear, images of the night before flashing through his mind, and it's quite hot and he is so very dead. He knows this, because Sirius will somehow find out and will make it his life's mission to destroy James.
He gives him another nudge, and Regulus lets out an annoyed moan. "Fuck off," Regulus mutters.
"Mate. We… we should talk."
At his words, Regulus tenses. There's a long silence, and…
"Fuck, did we sleep together?" Regulus asks, his voice hoarse. He rolls over and sits up, his gaze finding James'. "Please tell me I didn't sleep with you of all people."
James doesn't answer. He doesn't want to admit it because somehow Sirius will know that he's said those words.
"Fuck… I remember," Regulus mutters. "Why are you still here?" It's not hostile, just curious.
"Didn't want to be a dick that had sex with you and legged it when you were asleep," James admits, earning a slight smile from Regulus.
"As much as I appreciate that, we both know this was just a bit of fun," Regulus insists. "I'm not expecting a fancy dinner and a bouquet of flowers, don't worry. I'll see you at lunch later, and we'll pretend this never happened. Okay?"
James nods fast. He hurries to grab his clothes and get dressed, and he's sure Regulus is watching him. When he turns, all he sees is amusement.
He leaves the room and goes to his own and hopes that his best friend never find out.
"I think I screwed up," James mutters.
"Might have?" Regulus asks.
James nods. The first time he could pretend it was the alcohol that led them to bed. But really, he's sure it was the alcohol giving confidence. Last night, however… they didn't have that much to drink.
But all he could think about was how good Regulus was in bed, and by the text message the other man sent him as he was heading to his room, Regulus was thinking about the same thing.
James isn't going to forget either. The two nights had been amazing, and he wants nothing more than to get back into the bed and carry on.
But James needs this. He needs closeness. Intimacy. Why not with Regulus.
"I'm human, I make mistakes," he grumbles.
"I enjoyed it," Regulus admits. "Not all sex has to mean anything, James. Clearly we both have needs, and we're both enjoying getting them fulfilled. Perhaps we can come to some sort or arrangement?"
James like the sound of that. It's a stupid thing to do, to have casual sex with his best friend's brother, but James has never been the smartest.
"Look," Regulus says. "I don't care who's wrong or right anymore. This can get weird real fast if we start trying to figure that out. We're both of age, we're both single. I don't see any real issues here. Except for worry that my brother won't be pleased. But we will be careful about that."
"I agree." James hesitates. "Do I leave? Or do you want to go again?"
"We have a couple of hours until we need to go and eat," Regulus says. "Let's make the most of this morning." He smirks as James scrambles into the bed. "I'm going to ruin you."
James shivers at the words.
"My best friend and my brother," Sirius says, delightedly. "In love. Together. I mean, I shouldn't be happy about this. But who else would I ever trust with my brother's heart? If he has to date, at least it's someone who I fully approve of. And Regulus… you've fancied James for the longest time. I'm so happy he finally feels something back."
Sirius wraps them in a delighted hug before excusing himself to go and find Remus.
The pair sit in silence for a long moment.
"Right… that went… not how I expected," Regulus mutters, his face red at Sirius' words.
"You know, we shouldn't disappoint him," James replies. "Perhaps we should go out to dinner when we get back from this stag-do trip?"
"Yeah. A couple of dinners," Regulus agrees. "Enough so my brother doesn't get angry at us."
James smiles. "Maybe more than a few. You really had a crush on me?" He pauses and Regulus can't meet his gaze, which makes James' grin widen. "Well, I kinda had one on you, one I never intended on acting upon because of your brother. But… we have his blessing. So how about a date when we're back home?"
"I'd love that," Regulus admits.
