![]() Author has written 2 stories for Gone with the Wind. Hey there! Thanks for taking the time to read my stories on this site and then checking out my page! I hope you enjoyed what you read and weren't too bored! :) Update August 19, 2012: For those of my faithful readers who have recently reviewed, sent a private message, etc. wondering where the timely updates have been...I truly thank you for your concern, kindness, and understanding!!! ...My real life has been absolutely, positively INSANE AND downright depressing and I will be back on here with an update VERY, VERY SOON (probably in another month or so, I'm hoping)!!!...I am working on an update that I started back in January (when I last updated) and then had to put away when the demands on my personal time got completely overwhelmingt!!!!!!!! In the meantime, here's a few things about me: I'm a romantic at heart and love the drama and angst in a good story before getting to a (hopefully) happy ending and I always watch a movie or read a book thinking of how I would want the character's lives go on afterwards. Of course, I always want 'the guy' to get 'the girl' and I'll get really mad when that doesn't happen! :) My absolute favorite stories are Gone With The Wind, Pride and Prejudice, and Persuasion, but I really dislike any sequels out there for my favorites...Fanfiction is so much more realistic and entertaining for me !!! I also love historical dramas and anything to do with the English Regency, Victorian, and the American Civil War eras. My favorite literary characters of all time are Rhett Butler and Scarlett O'Hara and also Fitzwilliam Darcy and Elizabeth Bennet! If there ever could be a male hybrid that was the winning combination of Rhett and Darcy, watch out ladies!!! I'll be the first one in line to claim him (ha ha ha)!!!! I love classic films from the 'golden age of Hollywood" as well as costume dramas, BBC mysteries and dramas like Downton Abbey, and anything with Clark Gable, Cary Grant, James Stewart, Spencer Tracy, Audrey Hepburn, Vivien Leigh, Myrna Loy, William Powell, and Grace Kelly. My favorite tv show is "The Twilight Zone" but I don't watch hardly any television, instead preferring to read or work on writing my own fanfiction for this site and reading fanfiction on here as well! My most favorite movies of all time are: Gone With The Wind (my #1 fave!), Pride and Prejudice (my #2 and I like both the Laurence Olivier/Greer Garson version as well as the Keira Knightley/Matthew MacFadyen one...However, I am not a fan at all of the one with Colin Firth, though I do like him in other movies), The Forsythe Saga (though technically this is a BBC television miniseries), The Heiress, Mrs. Parkington, The Philadelphia Story, Rear Window, Vertigo, To Catch A Thief, Sabrina, Roman Holiday, North By Northwest, The Prisoner of Zenda (a great movie and so sad at the end when the guy doesn't get the girl), It Happened One Night, Bringing up Baby(So funny and just plain awesome!), The Shop Around The Corner (my favorite James Stewart film...so sweet!), It's A Wonderful Life, The Bachelor and The Bobby Soxer, The Awful Truth (LOVE this! Cary Grant is adorable in it!), The Bishop's Wife, Wife vs. Secretary (This is how I dream Clark Gable to be if he were my hubby; 'lovey dovey' all the time!...sigh!). I live in the United States and am currently a stay at home mom and former clinical dietitian... I really need to go back to work but want to wait a few more years until my four year old 'baby' is all grown up! :) I have never taken 'the plunge' into the world of writing fan fiction until just this past summer and I get so excited to read what others think of my characters and ideas when they review. So, if you read my stuff and have a minute of your time to spare, please review for me and it will make me a very happy person!...hint!hint! :) And last but not least, I am a 'Yankee', born and bred, but lived for a short while in the land of Rhett Butler otherwise known as Charleston, South Carolina...I would love to live there again someday and a lot of my family is still there so I get to go visit often!...the Low Country is my idea of heaven on earth!!!!! |
