Chapter 10: League of Shadows part 2

"It's over Cheshire," I say.

"Oh, don't spoil my fun, yet, cutie," Cheshire says, "We haven't even gotten to the good part of the date." She gives me a flirtatious wink. She then kicks me in the stomach. I try to regain my balance, but as I do she gets up. I try to get ready for whatever she does next, but I am in complete and utter shock at what she does next. Kissing me on the lips. As soon as she does, I start to feel dizzy, like I've been dosed with a knockout drug. I then realized that she was using some sort of knockout drug and using my split lip to accesses my blood flow. I start felling even more dizzy as I push Cheshire off of me. I try to stand but ultimately fall to the floor, like a wounded animal. "Aw, how cute. I just love watching you struggle," she taunts. I then gain enough strength, to kick Cheshire knocking her to the other side of the room. She hits a concrete wall and cracks it. I look over to Sara to see her knock out two highly trained assassins whilst there are seven others attacking her at the same time. One of them, then stabs her with a knife. They then knock her blades out of her hands. She tries to fight them with just her hands, but one of them lands a kick that knocks her to the window and it starts to crack. As much of a great fighter she is, it doesn't look like there's a way out for her. Spark gets webbed to the ceiling by black spider. Then one of the assassin's punches Sara so hard the glass cracks and she falls out of the building.

"No!" I shout. This gives me enough adrenaline to get up off the floor, and jump up, and kick Black Spider in the face. I then grab Spark, and then jump out the other side of the building that isn't block by assassins. "Go T.U.R.B.O.! Flight!" I shout, and Spark flies into my chest and transforms me as we free fall. As soon as I transform I fly over to the other side of the building. I then start to feel the effects of the drug again. I still find a way to catch her before the drug renders me unconscious. We fall on a building, me using my body to mostly cover Sara from the fall.

One of the assassins calls someone. "Miss Al Ghul, Ta-er Al-Safher has escaped. What should we do?" the assassin asks.

"I'll come and do it myself," the woman says.

Sara goes to me. "Noah! Noah!" Sara shouts, as she tries to wake me up. Spark comes out.

"Don't worry, he's alive, just unconscious," Spark says.

"What are you?" Sara asks.

"His partner. We need to call the league. If the shadows find us, they'll kill all three of us," Spark says.

Sara nods.

Time skip.

I stir awake. "Ooh," I say. I get up to see Batman, Hawkwoman, Wonder Woman, Green Arrow and Spark. "Where's Sara?" I ask.

"Having a talk with her sister," Hawkwoman says. I sigh. "What were you doing with her anyway. She's an assassin!" Hawkwoman says.

"She ran away from them. The Shadows, even though she knew what they'd do to her if they caught her. They'll kill her if they find her. What was I supposed to do, let them? She came to me for help, I wasn't for damn sure going to just leave her," I say.

"You should've come to us," Wonder Woman says.

"That's what I suggested in the first place, but she was too scared to face her sister after all this time. If I had tried she would've run off and gotten herself killed," I explain.

"You could've gotten killed. You almost did," Hawkwoman says.

"A risk I take every day. Look, I know you guys are just looking out for me, and I appreciate it, but I'm not just going to let the Shadows continue to force her to kill people. That's what we do, right? Help people," I say.

None of them can say anything so Spark remerges with me and we walk off. I knock on a door. "Dinah, Sara, I don't want to interrupt, but I just want to know that you're okay, Sara," I say. There's no reply, or any sound. "Dinah, Sara, please, say something," I say. Still no reply. I then open the door to find Dinah unconscious on the ground. "Dinah!" I shout as I run to her and kneel down. "Dinah, please wake up!" I shout. She wakes. I hug her and she hugs me back. "What happened? Where's Sara?" I ask.

"Sara knocked me out," Dinah says.

"What the hell? Why?" I ask.

"she said she has to do this on her own," Dinah says.

"She's going after the Shadows by herself," I realize.

"She's going to get herself killed. I can't lose my sister again," Dinah says.

"Hey, don't worry, we'll save her, together," I say. Dinah nods and hugs me again.

Time skip.

Dinah and me run to the rest of the league. "Sara's run off, and she's going to fight the league by herself.

"Good thing I put a tracker in her then," Batman says.

"Wait, how'd you—never mind," I say. "Were is she?" I ask. Bats pulls up a map.

"I'll go talk to her," Dinah says.

"No, let me," I say.

"She's my sister," Dinah says.

"And with all due respect she incapacitated you," I say.

"It won't happen again," Dinah says.

"I know you love your sister and want to protect her, I care about her too. That is why I'm telling you to let me do this. For some reason she trusts me. I think I can convince her to come back. Please, trust me. I got this," I say.

"I do trust you. Bring her back safe," Dinah says. I nod and hug her.

"I give you my word," I say.

Time skip.

"Hey, Sara," I say, as I walk up to her.

"Noah, you need to get out of here," Sara replies.

"I'm not leaving you," I say.

"You should. I'm a murderer," Sara says.

"No you're a survivor," I say.

"A year ago I was in Guyana. I was sent there for a man named Suarez. He was a local diplomat. And I slit his throat. In his bed. And his kids... they found his bed in the morning. Do you think I still deserve your help?" Sara asks.

"You've done all those things in the past. But you did them to survive. What's the point if you give," I say.

"I can't. no matter what I do I can't escape them," Sara says.

"Then don't run. Fight back. I'll help," I say.

"The two of us can't do this. They'd kill us both," Sara says.

"We can't alone, but we have friends," I say.

"Who?" Sara asks.

"The Justice League, Dinah and me can convince them to help," I say. "With their help we can beat them," I say.

"I won't let you risk your life for me, or Dinah, or any of them," Sara says.

"That's our decision to make," I say.

"Why are you doing this for.

"Seven months ago, my powers manifested and I couldn't control them, it let out a blast that blow out a building killing several people. Your sister gave me a second chance, she saved my life. And now, I'm helping people so many people. If she hadn't… I don't know what I would've done, who I could've become. What I'm saying I guess, is I believe everyone deserves a second chance. And that includes you," I say.

Time skip.

"Ta-el Shafer, the daughter of Ra's Al Ghul requests your return," the league of assassin's member says.

"I'm not going back," Sara says.

"Then we will kill you," the league of assassin's member says.

"You're not going to kill me," Sara says.

"You over estimate your importance," the assassin says.

"No, you're going to try but there going to protect me," Sara says, as Black Canary, Batman, Wonder Woman, Hawkwoman, Green Arrow, Flash, me and a few others appear out of the shadows.

"We can take them," one assassin says.

"No, we can't. we need to inform Ra's," another assassin says. The other reluctantly agrees. "This is not over," the assassin says.

"We'll be waiting," I say. The assassins retreat.

Time skip.

"Thanks for not giving up on me," Sara says.

"I'm just glad that your free now," I say.

"I'll never be free, not of the ghosts of my past but at least I can try and make up for it now," Sara says.

"If you want, you could try and do it with me and my team," I say.

"Even though I attacked you," Sara says.

"It's water under the bridge for me. And whether or not you want to tell the team or not is up to you," I say.

"Thanks for doing all of this for me," Sara says.

"That assassin said that Ra's Al Ghul's daughter requested your return what's your relationship with her if you don't mind me asking," I say.

"I was dating her. I cared about her a lot, but I couldn't take the killing so, I had to leave," Sara says.

"Well, if you decide to join call me, or if you just want to talk, call me," I say.

"Pretty smooth, I might just take you up on that," Sara says, giving me a kiss on the cheek. I blush and my jaw drops as she walks off. "See you later," Sara says.

I crack a smile. "See you later," I say.

I'm sorry, I struggle to put my thoughts into words and it can take me a long time to write out my chapters. Sorry for the wait, I'll try to do the next chapter quicker.

Also, someone asked me to pair Black Canary with Noah and I'm conflicted as I like her and think she's great but I'm not sure how awkward it'd be because she's his mentor and he'll also be dating her sister. What do you guys think?

Also, I'm unsure what to do for the flashbacks, any ideas?
