Chapter 58: A Shocking Discovery

In Yavin 4...

Leia began to give a speech to her fellow rebel companions for a moment of silence to the ones that lost their lives while fighting for the rebellion.

"We have much to be grateful for today."Leia declared. "Thanks to your courage, we have delivered a telling blow to the Empire with the destruction of the Death Star. But our casualties were not small. Let us take a moment to honour the lost souls of Alderaan. To honour Viceroy Bail Organa and Queen Breha Organa. May they forever be remembered."

Lisa, Luke, Han and all the rebel fighters closed their eyes and became silent to give respect to the loss of Leia's parents and her home planet.

"Bail, I forever thank you and Breha for raising Leia to be a strong leader and an amazing young woman."Ferus thought sadly. "I hope you can forgive me that I weren't able to save you and your people from the Empire."

Then General Dodonna walked up to where Leia and Lisa stood.

"Would that there were proper time to mourn. But the Empire now knows our location."General Dodonna declared. "Therefore, our first priority is to find a new base of operations. To that end all rebel fleets have arrived to assist us in evacuating Yavin. Each of you has been assigned a station for dismantling and transporting. Some of you will be asked to scout for potential outposts. All of you are invaluable. Through you, the alliance lives to fight on. To your stations. And may the Force be with you all."

Everyone began to leave the ceremony room while Leia and Lisa remained with Luke, Han and Chewbacca.

"You heard the General."Leia stated smugly. "There's much to be done. Let's go see how much of it involves a hairy beast pilot and a co-pilot."

"Hey."Han sneered and pointed at Chewbacca. "He's the co-pilot."

Chewbacca let out a growl.

Leia smirked. "I know."

Lisa looked at Luke and gave him a smile.

"Luke, you are staying with us right?"Lisa asked.

"You can't get rid of me easily, Lisa."Luke chuckled with a smile.

"I'm so glad."Lisa remarked. "Now the Empire has to watch out for two Skywalkers."

Ferus was walking in the hallway and found Admiral Ackbar ordering a group of rebel fighters taking away a bunch of crates.

"Move it, soldiers!"Admiral Ackbar ordered. "The clock is ticking! Every moment we dawdle broadens the targets are on our backs! Let's go!"

Ferus continued walking in the hallway until he found Nadia sitting in his room, looking a bit sick and had her hand on her nose.

The door closed behind him when he went inside the room as he approached his wife.

"Nadia?"Ferus asked as he walked up to Nadia. "What's wrong?"

Nadia froze a little when she saw Ferus and lowered her nose to reveal a bit of blood curling down.

"Your bleeding!"Ferus said in shock. "Hold on, I'll get the doctor and..."

Nadia grabbed Ferus' hand tightly to prevent him from leaving the room.

"Ferus, wait."Nadia instructed desperately. "You have to listen what I have to say. It's going to sound strange. But you have to believe me."

Ferus sat next Nadia and took a tissue to wipe away the blood in her nose as he looked at her in the eyes.

"What is it?"Ferus asked in concern.

"I'm...I'm not Nadia."Nadia admitted with tears in her eyes. "Not the real one."

Ferus' eyes widen in shock and disbelief.

"What?"Ferus questioned.

"I...I...I am actually actually a clone of her that have been created to serve the Sith."Nadia sobbed with tears in her eyes. "The real Nadia is stored on ice in Kamino. She was abducted five years after the Empire rose to power."

A look of horror spread of Ferus' face as he stood up and backed away a little from 'Nadia'.

"Your a clone of my wife?"Ferus snapped in utter shock. "And you planned to keep this from me until now?!"

"I didn't know what else to do!"Nadia sobbed in shame. "Darth Sidious would've killed me, if I ever told anyone! I was created to serve him and get rid of his enemies! I didn't have a choice! Please believe me!"

"Why should I?"Ferus questioned with a glare. "You lied to me! You pretended to be the woman I love and the mother of my kids! You played me for a fool! You played us all for fools! What you did was unforgivable!"

Nadia stood up and hugged Ferus tightly as more tears fell down her face.

"I'm so sorry!"Nadia cried. "I didn't mean to hurt you or anyone! Please!"

"Well, you did and you obviously don't care."Ferus retorted. "It's part of what you are."

Ferus removed Nadia's hands off his waist and opened the door to leave, only to find Zack and Gwen standing outside.

The Jedi froze seeing his children, realising they have heard everything in the conversation.

Nadia paled and became nervous at seeing the two kids she was designed to raise.

"Kids..."Ferus started.

"We heard everything, dad."Zack declared.

"Are we going to save mum?"Gwen asked.

"Yes."Ferus answered with a determined look. "We are."

"But we are going to need her help."Zack inquired.

Ferus sent 'Nadia' a glare before closing his eyes and sighing.

"Fine."Ferus sighed with an upset tone. "It's not like I have any other choice. I'm going to tell Lisa. We are going to need as much as help we can get."

And now the hidden secret is finally out.
