Chapter 63: The Empire Strikes Back Part 3

In Space...

The Millennium Falcon flew away from Hoth, closely followed by a Star Destroyer and four TIE fighters.

Inside the Millennium Falcon...

Both Ferus and Nadia felt a mixture of relief as their spotted their children's X-Wings take off with the rest of the alliance but they were now concerned about escaping Darth Vader's ship that was right behind them.

Chewbacca let out a loud howl as Han checked as the ship was buffeted by exploding flak.

"I saw them!"Han assured. "I saw them!"

"Saw what?"Leia questioned.

"Star Destroyers, Leia."Ferus replied. "Two of them, coming right at us."

Threepio bumped and bangs his way into the cockpit.

"Sir, sir!"Threepio protested. "Might I suggest..."

"Shut him up or shut him down!"Han demanded and glanced at Chewbacca. "Check the deflector shield!"

Chewbacca barked a reply as he readjusts an overhead switch.

"Oh, great."Han grumbled. "Well, we can still out manoeuvre them."

In Space...

The Millennium Falcon raced toward one of the huge oncoming Star Destroyers.

Suddenly, the Falcon started into a deep dive straight down, closely followed by four TIE fighters.

The underside of the Star Destroyer continues on a collision course with two oncoming Star Destroyers before it slowly started to veer to the left.

The Millennium Falcon raced away from the colliding Star Destroyers, but were still followed by four TIE fighters.

Inside the Millennium Falcon...

Chewbacca barked at Han as Ferus, Nadia and Leia were slowly recovering from the steep dive.

"Are you okay, Nadia?"Leia asked.

"I'm fine, I've just been out from action for too long."Nadia murmured quietly.

"Prepare to make the jump to light speed."Han ordered.

"But, sir!"Threepio protested.

The buffeting of lasers became louder and stronger in the background.

"They're getting closer!"Leia warned.

"Oh yeah?"Han said. "Watch this."

The group looked out the cockpit window as stars do not go into hyperspace, but just sit there.

Han and Chewbacca look at each other and are thrown into an acute state of concern.

Leia frowned. "Watch what?"

"I think we're in trouble."Han stated.

"If I may say so, sir, I noticed earlier that the hyper drive motivator has been damaged."Threepio exclaimed. "It's impossible to go to light speed!"

"We're in trouble!"Han admitted.

Han gets out of his seat and Chewbacca follows him, leaving Ferus and Nadia to fly the ship.

"Does he know how to fix the hyperdrive?"Leia asked.

"He better if this is his own ship."Ferus scoffed. "With Vader wanting us in his grasp, Han should fix it."

Suddenly something large, banged into the ship causing a scream of pain from Han.

Leia froze at the sight of asteroids filling the viewport as Ferus glanced at the communicator on Han's console.

"We're in a asteroid field!"Nadia warned.

"Solo, get up here!"Ferus demanded.

"Come on, Chewie!"Han called out.

Han climbed out of the hold like a shot. Both he and Chewie run out of the hold and toward the cockpit.

Out the front cockpit window, the group see loads of asteroids racing by.

Han changed places with Ferus, who had been at the controls and Nadia gives Chewbacca back his seat.

The smuggler worked his controls as a chunk of rock crossed in front of the ship.

"Chewie, set two-seven-one!"Han ordered.

"What are you doing?"Leia questioned. "You're not actually going into an asteroid field?"

"They'd be crazy to follow us, wouldn't they?"Han asked.

Another asteroid thumps against the ship as Ferus, Nadia and Leia winced at the jolt.

Nadia frowned. "You don't have to do this impress Leia, Solo."

"Sir, the possibility of successfully navigating an asteroid field is approximately three thousand, seven hundred and twenty to one."Threepio admitted.

"Never tell me the odds!"Han responded.

In Space...

The Millennium Falcon turned into the asteroid storm and as the ship completed its turn, asteroids start coming straight at the cockpit windows.

A large asteroid tumbled away from the Falcon's path at top speed.

Several smaller asteroids crash into the big one, creating small explosions on its surface.

Other asteroids of all sizes pass by in every direction, some colliding and exploding.

The tiny Millennium Falcon veers around the big asteroid and races past it through the rain of rocks, followed by four TIE fighters, which bob and weave around the asteroids.

One of the pursuing TIE fighters connected with an asteroid and exploded straight away.

The other fighters were pelted with a steady stream of smaller explosions.

Two huge asteroids tumble toward the Millennium Falcon, which quickly banks around both of them.

The three TIE fighters follow in hot pursuit until one of the fighters scrapes an asteroid and tumbles out of control into deep space.

The Star Destroyer blasts oncoming asteroids as it followed after the Millennium Falcon.

The Millennium Falcon twisted on its side as it races around an oncoming asteroid while two TIE fighters follow in the distance, coming from either side.

Inside the Millennium Falcon...

Asteroids race by the cockpit window as Han piloted his trusty craft through the dangerous field.

Looking out the cockpit window, the Falcon crew sees a big asteroid drop past the window, narrowly missing their ship.

Chewbacca barked in terror as a slightly smaller asteroid came especially close and bounces off the the star ship with a loud crunch.

Threepio covered his eyes with his hands though managed a short peek at the cockpit window.

Princess Leia sits stone-faced, staring at the action while Ferus' eye twitched a bit and Nadia slowly patted in shock.

"You said you wanted to be around when I made a mistake."Han reminded. "Well, this could be it, sweetheart."

"I take it back."Leia responded. "We're going to get pulverized if we stay out here much longer."

The group watched as more asteroids race by outside the window.

"I'm not going to argue with that."Han declared.

"Pulverized?"Threepio asked with a hint of despair.

"I'm going in closer to one of those big ones."Han stated.

"Closer?!"Ferus, Nadia and Leia shouted in unison.

"Closer?!"Threepio panicked.

Chewbacca barked the same word, only louder.

Han made the Millennium Falcon dive toward the surface of one of the moon-sized asteroids.

There was a continued display of explosions against the starry void as smaller asteroids collide with larger chunks of rock.

The two remaining TIE fighters follow the Falcon to the large asteroid.

The TIE fighters approach the Millennium Falcon, but a giant asteroid hurtled directly into their path.

As the asteroid continues on its way, it leaves remains of the two exploded TIE fighters to tumble into deep space.

Ferus and Nadia glanced at each other, both surprised that the Smuggler's motive worked.

Rattled by the violent rocking of the star ship, Threepio was nearly in hysterics.

"Oh, this is suicide!"Threepio shouted.

Han noticed something on his main scope and nudges his faithful Wookiee, pointing.

"There."Han stated, pointing at the viewpoint. "That looks pretty good."

"What looks pretty good?"Leia asked.

"Yeah."Han commented. "That'll do nicely."

Threepio looked at Nadia.

"Excuse me, ma'am, but where are we going?"Threepio asked.

Out the cockpit window, they see that they are skimming the surface of the enormous asteroid and nearing a large crater.

Nadia looked at the droid as Han lowered the Millennium Falcon into a hole in the asteroid.

"I hope you know what you're doing."Leia reminded.

"Yeah, me too."Han answered.

The Millennium Falcon raced down into the crater.

The walls were barely visible as the ship speed through the tunnel-like opening.

A small cave appeared on one side of the crater and the Falcon turns, slows, and scoots into it.

Meanwhile...

Luke and Lisa's X-Wing headed towards Dagobah as Artoo let out a worried beep.

"Yes, that's it."Luke said. "Dagobah."

"This is where we are going to find Master Yoda."Lisa added.

Artoo beeped in a hopeful tone.

"No, we're not going to change my mind about this."Luke answered as he checked the screen. "I'm not picking up any cities or technology. Massive life-form readings, though. There's something alive down there..."

"Dagobah is actually an remote and unexplored planet, so it's a good place for anyone to escape the notice of Imperial forces."Lisa complemented.

Artoo beeped, this time a slightly worried question.

"Yes, I'm sure it's perfectly safe for droids."Luke answered and looked at his sister. "Right, Lisa?"

"I guess so."Lisa replied.

The Skywalkers' X-Wing continued its flight through the twilight above the cloud covered planet.

Luke and Lisa see the cloud race by as their craft came closer to the planet.

Lisa suddenly felt their vessel shake as it impacted the wind while Artoo beeped wildly.

"Luke-"Lisa started.

"I know, I know! All the scopes are dead!"Luke shouted. "I can't see a thing! Just hang on, I'm going to start the landing cycle..."

Luke flew their x-wings through the mists and landed with a splash while the mist shrouded the fighter almost invisible in the thick fog.

Luke and Lisa climbed out of their spacecraft and checked the swampy landscape, seeing only giant and twisted trees nearby.

"It's like a jungle here..."Lisa whispered.

Artoo let out an anxious whistle.

"No, Artoo, you stay put."Luke instructed. "We'll have a look around."

Artoo lets out a short beep before he loses his balance and disappeared with a splash into the boggy lake.

"Artoo!"Lisa gasped.

"Artoo!"Luke called out. "Where are you?"

A small periscope breaks the surface of the water and a gurgled beep was heard before Artoo revealed himself to the two siblings.

Relieved, Luke starts running along the nose of the fighter to its tip.

"Artoo!"Luke scowled. "You be more careful."

"Luke is right."Lisa agreed. "This place is not a playground."

Artoo let out a grumpy beep from underwater.

Luke and Lisa jumped off the plane into the water, scrambled up to the shor and turned to look for Artoo.

The periscope still steadily moved toward shore.

"Artoo that way!"Luke instructed.

Suddenly, through the thick fog layer, a dark shape appears, moving toward the little droid that made a loud clunk against Artoo's metal hull.

The droid disappeared from sight, uttering a pathetic electronic scream.

"Artoo!"Luke and Lisa shouted in unison.

Luke and Lisa both ran to the edge of the water holding their lightsabers as Artoo went flying with a loud scream out of the water.

They followed the droid's trajectory and followed as it landed in an unceremonious heap.

"Oh no!"Luke said.

Luke and Lisa straightened the blue white driod to check if he was okay.

"Are you all right?"Lisa questioned. "Anything broken?"

Luke and Lisa wiped the mud and roots on Artoo's body as the droid responded with feeble soggy beeps.

"If you're saying coming here was a bad idea, I'm beginning to agree with you."Luke replied and looked at Lisa. "Lisa, what are we doing here? It's like...something out of a dream, or, I don't know. Maybe I'm just going crazy."

"We are looking for Yoda, but there is definitely something odd about this jungle."Lisa admitted.

The Skywalker twins glanced around at the swamp jungle that surrounded them as Artoo ejected a stream of muddy water from one of his cranial ports.

Inside the Star Destroyer...

Admiral Piett hesitated in the entryway to Vader's private cubicle, but still stepped into the room and paused at the sight before him.

Darth Vader, his back turned, was silhouetted in the gloom on the far side of the chamber with a black small droid attending him.

Among the various apparatuses surrounding them, a respirator tube now retracted from Vader's uncovered damaged head.

Many years had passed, but the Sith Lord still had the wounds that he received in Mustafar after Obi-Wan cut his body down.

The black droid then lowered the mask and helmet onto Darth Vader's head.

When it is in place, the Dark Lord turned to face Admiral Piett.

"Yes, Admiral?"Darth Vader asked.

"Our ships have sighted the Millennium Falcon, lord."Admiral Piett answered. "But...it had entered an asteroid field and we cannot risk."

"Asteroids do not concern me, Admiral."Darth Vader interrupted. "I want that ship and not excuses."

"Yes, lord."Admiral Piett replied.

The Sith Lord clenched his fists in the controls as he thought about the very two people within the Millennium Falcon.

Ferus Olin and Nadia Aomori.

Once his allies but now the only people that he wanted to rid of after Obi-Wan for taking his children away from him.

In Space...

The Millennium Falcon rested in a dark, dripping asteroid cave.

It was so dark that the cave's exact dimensions were impossible to determine.

Han and Chewbacca busily shut down the engine and all electronic systems as Threepio, Ferus, Nadia and Leia watched.

"I'm going to shut down everything but the emergency power systems."Han stated.

Threepio looked at Han.

"Sir, I'm almost afraid to ask, but...does that include shutting me down, too?"Threepio asked.

Chewbacca barked a 'yes' to the golden droid.

"No, I need you to talk to the Falcon, find out what's wrong with the hyper drive."Han ordered.

Suddenly, the ship lurched, causing all the loose items in the cockpit to go flying.

"Sir, it's quite possible this asteroid is not entirely stable."Threepio said.

"Not entirely stable?"Han repeated. "I'm glad you're here to tell us these things."

Chewbacca and Ferus took the golden droid in the back and plug him into the hyperdrive with Nadia following from behind.

"Sometimes I just don't understand human behaviour."Threepio admitted as Ferus pulled his golden arm. "I was only trying to do my job."

Nadia gives Leia a wink before the sliding door closed behind her, Ferus, Threepio and Chewbacca as they moved back to the hold.

Ferus glanced at Nadia for her sudden action.

"What was that for?"Ferus questioned.

"Nothing."Nadia replied with a smirk. "It's a girl thing.

Suddenly, the star ship lurched again, throwing Leia across the cabin into Han's arms.

Then, abruptly, the motion stopped as suddenly as it started.

With some surprise, Han and Leia realized they were in each other's arms.

"Let go."Leia ordered.

"Sshh!"Han hushed.

"Let go, please."Leia demanded.

Leia's face flushed, averting her eyes though she wasn't exactly fighting to get free.

"Don't get excited."Han sneered.

Leia glared at Han.

"Captain, being held by you isn't quite enough to get me excited."Leia answered with a hint of anger.

"Sorry, sweetheart."Han declared. "We haven't got time for anything else."

Han grins quickly wickedly at Leia as he turned and exited through the door, leaving the Alderaanian princess completely confused.

In Dagobah...

The atmosphere in the planet was now dark which made the swamp look very gloomy.

Luke pulled an equipment box from the shore to the clearing and ignited a little fusion furnace and warms his hands before it.

Taking a power cable, Luke plugged it into Artoo's nose like socket.

"Ready for some power?"Luke asked. "Okay. Let's see now. Put that in there. There you go."

Artoo whistled his appreciation.

Lisa drank her small can of photon fizzle to remove the fish flavour in her mouth as she and Luke sat down before the thermal heate, eating their lunchboxes together.

"Now all we have to do is find this Yoda, if he even exists."Luke complemented.

"Of course, he exists, Luke."Lisa replied as she munched on a crumpet. "Obi-Wan wouldn't be sending us here for nothing."

"Does Uncle Ferus know Yoda?"Luke asked.

"Yes."Lisa said with a nod. "Yoda was a Jedi Master and only one who survived the Jedi Purge along with Obi-Wan, Ferus and Nadia.

"This is a strange place to look for a Jedi Master."Luke complemented. "Still there's something familiar about this place. I feel like. I don't know..."

"Feel like what?"A strange voice asked.

Luke and Lisa activated their lightsabers to see a small green creature and was dressed in rags.

"Like we're being watched!"Luke finished.

"Away with your weapon!"Yoda begged in fear. "I mean you no harm!"

Lisa's eyes widen a bit seeing Yoda in person and immediately deactivated her lightsabers.

After some hesitation, Luke puts away his weapon, although he didn't understand why.

Yoda lowered his arm and looked at Luke and Lisa with a curious look on his face.

Artoo watched the sight with interest.

"I am wondering, why are you here?"Yoda said.

"We are looking for someone."Luke answered.

"Looking?"Yoda laughed lightly. "Found someone, you have, I would say, hmmm?"

"Right."Luke agreed in a dry tone.

"Help you I can."Yoda said. "Yes, mmmm."

"I don't think so."Luke denied. "We are looking for a great warrior."

"A great warrior."Yoda laughed lightly and shook his head. "Wars not make one great."

"They don't?"Lisa said in surprise.

With the aid of a walking stick, Yoda moved over to one of the cases of supplies and began to rummage around.

Artoo moved to the edge of the case while standing almost eye level to the creature who was carelessly handling the supplies and grumbled his disapproval.

Yoda picked up the container of food Luke was eating from and takes a bite.

Lisacovered her mouth to lower her laughter at the Jedi Master's acting behaviour.

"Put that down!"Luke argued. "Hey! That's my dinner!"

Yoda spat out the bite he has taken and made a face.

"How you get so big, eating food of this kind?"Yoda asked.

Yoda flipped the container in Luke's direction and reaches into one of the boy's supply cases.

"Listen, friend."Luke instructed. "We didn't mean to land in that puddle, and if we could get our ship out, we would, but we can't, so why don't you just..."

"Aww, cannot get your ship out?"Yoda teased.

Yoda spotted something of interest in Luke's case.

Luke lost patience and grabbed the case away as Lisa struggled to contain her laughter.

The old Jedi Master picked up a tiny power lamp and examined it with delight.

"Hey, you could have broken this."Luke argued. "Don't do that. You're making a mess! Hey, give me that!"

"Mine."Yoda argued while retreating the lamp. "Or I will help you not."

Clutching its treasure, the creature backs away from Luke, drawing closer to Artoo.

As Luke and Yoda argue, one of Artoo's little arms slowly moves out toward the power lamp, completely unnoticed by the old jedi.

"We don't want your help."Luke retorted. "I want my lamp back. I'll need it to get out of this slimy mudhole."

Lisa let out a fake cough as Yoda repeated Luke's insulting words.

"Mudhole? Slimy?"Yoda repeated. "My home this is."

Artoo grab a hold of the lamp and the two small figures were immediately engaged in a tug-of-war over it.

"Artoo, let him have it."Lisa chuckled.

Artoo beeped before handing the lamp to Yoda.

"Mine! Mine!"Yoda shouted. "Mine! Mine!"

"Now will you move along, little fella?"Luke requested with a hint of annoyance. "We're got a lot of work to do."

"No! No!"Yoda denied. "Stay and help you, I will. Find your friend, hmm?"

"We're not looking for a friend."Luke answered. "We're looking for a Jedi Master."

"Oohhh. Jedi Master. Yoda."Yoda remarked. "You seek Yoda."

Luke became surprised as he knelt in front of the small master.

"You know him?"Luke said in surprise.

"Mmm. Take you to him, I will."Yoda laughed lightly. "Yes, yes. But now, we must eat. Come. Good food. Come."

With that, the old master scurried out of the clearing, laughing merrily.

Luke stares after him before glancing at Lisa, who shrugged in respond.

Artoo, very upset, whistled a blue streak of protest.

"Stay here and watch after the camp, Artoo."Luke ordered.

Artoo beeped even more frantically.

But as Luke and Lisa disappears from view, the worried little droid grew quieter and uttered a soft electronic sigh.

In the Millennium Falcon...

Nadia helped Ferus as he carefully pulled out some wiring that had been polarized in the fight with the Empire.

"Oh, where is Artoo when I need him?"Threepio complained.

"Don't complain, Threepio."Nadia instructed. "Luke and Lisa are looking after him. You'll see him again."

"Yes."Ferus agreed while working on the wire. "I am mostly glad that Bridger is not with Lisa though."

"Wow."Nadia said with a smirk. "You're acting like an over protective dad still."

"I was the one who raised Lisa, Nadia."Ferus reminded. "She's like my own daughter."

"Oh?"Nadia sneered. "Then I guess you wouldn't mind Luke having Gwen to himself."

"Over my dead body."Ferus scowled and ended up getting a bit zapped by the wire. "Ow!"

Nadia rolled her eyes at her husband's behaviour as Han entered the hold area and kneels on the floor near the control box.

"Sir, I don't know where your ship learned to communicate, but it has the most peculiar dialect."Threepio exclaimed. "I believe, sir, it says that the power coupling on the negative axis has been polarized. I'm afraid you'll have to replace it."

"Well, of course I'll have to replace it."Han said.

The smuggler hands a wire coil up to Chewbacca who was working near the ceiling.

"Here!"Han replied. "And Chewie..."

Chewbacca brought his head back through the trap door in the ceiling and whined.

Han glances back at the two Jedi and Threepio, then speaks quietly to Chewbacca so only he can hear.

"I think we'd better replace the negative power coupling."Han continued.

Han headed to where Leia was to help her out as Nadia quietly glanced to check out the other side.

Suddenly, Threepio appeared in the doorway, speaking excitedly causing Nadia to quickly act like she was helping Ferus out.

"Sir, sir!"Threepio remarked. "I've isolated the reverse power flux coupling."

"Thank you."Han muttered bitterly as he broke away from hugging Leia. "Thank you very much."

"Oh, you're perfectly welcome, sir."Threepio answered.

Nadia snorted her laughter, knowing Threepio ruined Han's moment with Leia.

In the Star Destroyer...

Darth Vader stood, staring out the window above the control deck.

Then slowly turned toward the bridge to look at the hologram of two Imperial commanders.

"And that, Lord Vader, was the last time they appeared in any of our scopes."Captain Needa reported. "Considering the amount of damage we sustained, they must have been destroyed."

"No, Captain. They're alive."Darth Vader responded sharply. "I want every ship available to sweep the asteroid field until they are found."

The hologram shut down and Admiral Piett raced to him as Darth Vader turned to leave.

"Lord Vader."Admiral Piett spoke up.

"Yes, Admiral?"Darth Vader said. "What is it?"

"The Emperor commands you to make contact with him."Admiral Piett declared.

"Move the ship out of the asteroid field, so that we can send a clear transmission."Darth Vader ordered.

"Yes, my lord."Admiral Piett answered and went to his own console.

"What is thy bidding, my master?"Darth Vader asked.

"There is a great disturbance in the Force."Emperor Palpatine stated.

The Sith Lord came to thought for a moment, knowing the Emperor was talking about his children.

"I have felt it."Darth Vader replied.

"We have two new enemies, the young rebel and the former Queen of Naboo who destroyed the Death Star."Emperor Palpatine stated. "I have no doubt this boy and girl is the offspring of Anakin Skywalker."

"How is that possible?"Darth Vader asked in surprise.

"Search your feelings, Lord Vader."Emperor Palpatine instructed."You will know it to be true. They could destroy us."

"They are just a boy and a girl."Darth Vader replied. "Obi-Wan can no longer help them and I can kill Ferus Olin."

"The Force is strong with them. And the girl is already a Jedi."Emperor Palpatine reminded. "The son of Skywalker must not become a Jedi like his sister."

"If they could be turned, they could become powerful allies."Darth Vader suggested.

"Yes. They would be great assets."Emperor Palpatine answered. "Can it be done?"

"They will join us or die, master."Darth Vader declared.

The Emperor's hologram faded away, leaving the Sith Lord by himself.

Darth Vader didn't like the idea of killing his own children, so the only idea he can think of is luring Luke and Lisa out from hiding wherever they were and set a trap for them.

And he knew exactly the right people to use as bait.

After forming his plan, the Sith Lord stood up and left to begin his next move.

Back in Dagobah...

A heavy downpour of rain pounds through the gnarled trees.

A strange baroque mud house sits on a moss-covered knoll on the edge of a small lagoon.

As rain drops poured on Artoo's head, the little droid rises up on his tip-toes to peek into one of the window of the house to check inside.

The only thing out of place in the miniature room were Luke and Lisa, whose height made the ceiling seem even lower.

Luke and Lisa sat cross-legged on the floor of the living room while Yoda was in his little kitchen cooking up some soup for them.

The old master scurried about chopping this, shredding that and showering everything with exotic herbs and spices.

Lisa licked her lips a bit at the warm aroma as Luke began to lose his patient.

"Look, I'm sure it's delicious."Luke argued. "I just don't understand why we can't see Yoda now."

"You can't go anywhere with an empty stomach, Luke."Lisa reminded. "Calm down."

"Patience!"Yoda answered happily. "For the Jedi it is time to eat as well. Eat, eat. Hot. Good food, hm? Good, hmm?"

Moving with some difficulty in the cramped quarters, the two siblings sat down near the fire and serve themselves from the pot.

Luke and Lisa filled their bowls with rootleaf stew to taste them, both pleasantly surprised.

"How far away is Yoda?"Luke asked. "Will it take us long to get there?"

"Not far. Yoda not far."Yoda said cheerily and walked up to the siblings. "Patience. Soon you will be with him. Rootleaf, I cook."

"It's delicious."Lisa murmured while eating. "Thank you."

Yoda looked at Luke.

"Why wish you become Jedi?"Yoda asked. "Hm?"

"Mostly because of our father, I guess."Luke said.

"Ah, your father."Yoda remarked. "Powerful Jedi was he, powerful Jedi, mmm."

"Oh, come on. How could you know my father? You don't even know who I am."Luke said with an irritated tone. "Oh, I don't know what I'm doing here. We're wasting our time!"

Lisa frowned at her brother's respond while slowly eating her stew.

Yoda turned away from Luke and speaks to a third party.

"I cannot teach him."Yoda stated sadly. "The boy has no patience."

"But he can learn, master."Lisa insisted.

Luke's head spins at his sister's respond and became bewildered, but it gradually dawns on him that the little creature was Yoda, the Jedi Master and that he was speaking with Obi-Wan.

"Like his sister said."Obi-Wan's voice replied. "He will learn patience."

"Hmmm."Yoda said. "Much anger in him, like his father."

"Was I any different when you taught me?"Obi-Wan asked.

"Hah."Yoda scoffed. "He is not ready."

"Yoda! I am ready."Luke assured and looked around for Obi-Wan. "I...Ben! I can be a Jedi. Ben, tell him I'm ready!"

Trying to see Obi-Wan, Luke started to get up but hits his head on the low ceiling causing Lisa to wince at the sight.

"Ready, are you? What know you of ready?"Yoda questioned. "For eight hundred years have I trained Jedi. My own counsel will I keep on who is to be trained! A Jedi must have the deepest commitment, the most serious mind! This one a long time have I watched. All his life has he looked away to the future, to the horizon. Never his mind on where he was. Hmm? What he was doing."

"Hmph. Adventure. Heh! Excitement. Heh! A Jedi craves not these things."Yoda admitted, looking at Lisa before turning to Luke. "You are reckless!"

Luke looked down, knowing it is true.

"So was I, if you'll remember."Obi-Wan reminded.

"He is too old."Yoda grumbled. "Yes, too old to begin the training."

"But I've learned so much."Luke admitted in a soft tone.

"It's true, Master Yoda."Lisa agreed. "And so have I thanks to Ferus."

Yoda turned his piercing gaze on Luke and Lisa as though the Jedi Master's eyes could somehow determine how much the duo had learned.

After a long moment, the little Jedi turned toward where he alone sees Obi-Wan.

Yoda sighed. "Will he finished what he begins?"

"I won't fail you."Luke vowed. "I'm not afraid."

"Oh, you will be."Yoda giggled. "Both of you will be."

Luke and Lisa glanced at each other, not knowing what to say.

Next is Luke and Lisa training with Yoda...
