Ben Tennyson, wielder of the omnitrix, savior of the universe, the one and only hero of heroes had done everything a hero could possibly do. He saved cities, he saved the planet on more then one occasion, saved other planets as well. Ben Tennyson had saved the galaxy, the universe and even all of time, space and reality on more then one occasion. No super villain, mad scientist, alien bounty hunter or even planet conquering war lords could stop Ben Tennyson. With the omnitrix and the vast power it held inside Ben Tennyson could defeat any foe.
However, Ben Tennyson did not only rely on the omnitrix to save the day, like most heroes, Ben had help from all his friends. For most of his victories, Ben was never alone for he had people who could be there help fight alongside him. This was one of the main reasons Ben always ended up defeating his foes, they were always alone or made short unreliable alliances with other villains who'd end up stabbing them in the back.
After saving his universe from being recreated in the image of an evil and corrupted Chronosapian, Ben returned to Earth with his partner Rook and decided to go and see the universe they had just saved. Ben's cousin Gwendolyn and his best friend Kevin joined both of them alongside Kai Green, Ben's future wife. After the road trip was said and done Ben and the others returned to Bellwood thinking they wouldn't have to deal with any type of threat for awhile.
While this was true of Ben's friends and his cousin, the same couldn't be said for Ben himself. Professor Paradox, a time and universe traveling genius would come to Ben with a very important mission. One that would require all of Ben's skills, will and courage to complete. It would be the greatest mission that Ben could ever go on and if he failed, the consequences would be dire.
Ben's Apartment
Ben had just gotten home from his trip to Mr. Smoothies, he had purchased the 10 way smoothie combo tray. He hadn't had to deal with any criminals, super villains or extraterrestrial threats in awhile since he had gotten back from his long road trip around the entire universe. While Ben enjoyed this time off it had started to get to him just a little bit. Ben had always been use to fighting bad guys and saving the day, using the omnitrix to transform and do all of those things and more.
However not doing this and not saving the day made Ben seem useless and not needed. To Ben it felt like he no longer had a purpose and no longer had a need to use the omnitrix. But when Ben walked into his apartment and saw professor Paradox standing there with Azmuth on his shoulder, things were about to change for him, big time.
"Paradox, Azmuth? What are you two doing in my apartment?" Ben asked confused
"I thought you said you told him already time walker" Azmuth said to Paradox
"I did but it must have been a different time line or something, you know how these things are" Paradox replied opening his pocket watch
"Tell me what exactly?" Ben asked confused
"You see Tennyson, the time walker and I have come here to give you a very important mission" Azmuth answered
"This mission is of the utmost importance and will require everything you are capable of" Paradox added
"What do you guys need me to do?" Ben asked as he sat his smoothie trays down
"Benjamin you are aware of the multiple universe that exist, right?" Paradox asked
"Yeah, there's universe 23 me, that one universe where Gwendolyn got the omnitrix, a universe where there was no omnitrix and those few evil me universes" Ben answered
"Good, you remember all of that, I was worried you wouldn't remember all of that" Paradox said
"So um, what's me remembering all of that have to do with this mission you two want me to go on?" Ben asked
"As it has been explained to you multiple times Tennyson, the universe you are in is the prime universe, which makes you the prime Ben along with my omnitrix being the prime one" Azmuth answered
"Everything major choice you made or event that has happened in your life has caused multiple universes or realities to be formed, in some cases a change has taken place like the universe where you did not receive the omnitrix or in a universe where young Gwendolyn got the omnitrix, each universe is different the last one and a majority of them need your help" Paradox explained to Ben
"So there's multiple universe where I don't drink smoothies? That is crazy" Ben said
"I think he's getting off topic" Azmuth said irritated
"While that in itself is possible Benjamin it isn't the reason why we need your help, as you can see here, the infinite timeliness are in danger" Paradox said
As Paradox pressed a button on his pocket watch, Ben's apartment vanished. Ben was now standing in a dark open space with Paradox and Azmuth before him. Before Ben could say anything, multiple stars began to appear all around him. Some of those stars appeared to be connected to one another.
"Where are we?" Ben asked in awe of everything around him
"We are standing in the nexus of all reality, where we are standing now is the origin nexus point" Paradox answered
"The origin nexus point is your universe the prime universe" Azmuth said
"Each of these stars are different universe, some are even a new nexus point where even more universes are made" Paradox explained to Ben
"So all of these lines coming from my universe that are connected to those other universe are what exactly?" Ben asked
"These are convergent points Benjamin, they are universes similar to yours in almost every way" Paradox answered
"In each of those universes, you made a choice so strong it created a smaller and more different universe or something happened things changed" Azmuth told Ben
"So say me not being a hero would create a new universe?" Ben asked
"Exactly, in fact as you know there are a few universes like that, there's even a universe where you join sides with young Kevin and both of you grow up to be the greatest criminals in existence" Paradox answered giving Ben an example
"Huh, I always wondered what would happen if he and I teamed up when I was younger" Ben said to himself
"This list of alternate realities and universes is endless but this is where we need your help Benjamin" Paradox said
"What's going on with the universes?" Ben asked
"Something is causing them to go black, to die" Paradox answered
"The time walker nor I know what is going on with these universes other then if they all die so will the origin nexus point" Azmuth explained
"Every universe with some version of me will die?" Ben asked
"Exactly that and we can't have that happen that's why we need your help" Paradox answered
"This is serious, let me go and get Rook and the others and we'll stop what's going on" Ben said
"Unfortunately this is going to have to be a mission you do alone" Azmuth said
"This is really serious everything is at stake, why does it need to be a solo mission?" Ben asked confused
"You see Benjamin, only those capable of controlling or manipulating time, space and reality can go to these universes however there is an exception to this" Paradox answered
"Only the being who is responsible for the origin nexus point or other nexus points are allowed to go to these universes and interact with the beings and other things there" Azmuth explained
"So I am the being who is the reason the origin nexus point exists?" Ben asked
"Yes, the day you put on the omnitrix the origin nexus point was created and from there everything else followed" Paradox answered
Hearing all of this made Ben really wonder if he was the right person for the job. Yeah he had saved universes before but never on his own and never this type of consequence if he failed. Paradox walked over and put his hand on Ben's shoulder and tried to reassure him.
"Do not worry Benjamin, you will be able to succeed in this mission, you will save these universes" Paradox said
"But to make sure failure doesn't happen, the time walker has asked me to give you full control of the omnitrix" Azmuth said
"Wait, so I'm getting master control?" Ben asked
"Yes, you are getting master control and I am unlocking every alien transformation while also adding new features to assist you on this mission" Azmuth answered
Ben couldn't believe it, he was finally getting master control and even new features for the omnitrix. Azmuth jumped off Paradox's shoulder and landed on Ben's arm. The Galvan scientist then began to work on the omnitrix on Ben's wrist.
"So how exactly do you want me to save these universes Paradox?" Ben asked
"I suggest finding the omnitrix wearer of each universe, good or bad and look out for any threat to them" Paradox answered
"Do you think it's Eon killing Bens again?" Ben asked
"No I do not, Eon is being held prisoner by the Celestialsapiens for his crimes against the space time continuum" Paradox answered
"Then I wonder who or what this threat is" Ben said
"It must be something truly evil to destroy entire universes and their timeliness along with each and every convergent point" Paradox said
"It's that bad?" Ben asked
"Unfortunately it is, once a nexus point universe dies, all of its timeliness and convergent points die along with it" Paradox answered
"That is why we are sending you Tennyson, you are the only one who can stop this from happening" Azmuth said as he jumped back on to Paradox's shoulder
"Okay then, I'll do it, I have to do it for the sake of everyone I know and care about, my entire universe and others like it depend on me" Ben said
"As long as you remember that you are destined to succeed on this mission no matter the odds" Paradox said
"I guess you're right, where to first then?" Ben asked
"While I am unable to know which universe I am sending you to, I will be able to send you to the next one with this" Paradox said handing Ben a strange device
Ben took the device and saw that it was a ring with the omnitrix symbol on it along with some strange writing as well
"This ring will map out each universe you go to and it will collect the data on it, once that universe is saved it will set a map point" Paradox explained
"And to make sure the time walker can send you to the next universe press the omnitrix symbol once the omnitrix wielder is safe and the threat is gone" Azmuth said
"I've got it" Ben said closing the map on the ring
"Alright then Benjamin, I guess you are off then" Paradox said
"Good luck Tennyson and remember to keep my omnitrix safe" Azmuth said
"Don't worry, I will" Ben replied
"You say that but I have little faith you will" Azmuth said
"Alright then, let's send you to your first universe and the first part of your mission" Paradox said
Paradox then pressed a button on his pocket watch as a black hole began to form under Ben's feet. Before Ben could say anything he fell down the black hole into nothingness.
"THIS SUCCCCCCKKKKKSSSSS!!!!!" Ben yelled as he fell down the hole
Time Skip
Bellwood: 10,000,000 BC
A hole opened in the sky and out came a falling and yelling Ben, it didn't take him long to hit a top of a tree and slowly fall to the ground.
"Ouch" Ben said as he hit each tree branch with his body
Eventually Ben was able to finally hit the ground and stop falling completely, hitting the ground with a loud thud
"Thanks for the warning Paradox" Ben said as he slowly pulled himself up from the ground
Dusting himself off, Ben looked around to see where he had landed
"I think I'm in some sort of forest or jungle" Ben said to himself
Ben held up his hand and touched the ring on his finger, the map of the infinite universes appeared. Ben clicked on the spot that marked his location but no information came up.
"Strange, guess it hasn't collected the information on the universe I'm in" Ben said to himself
Deciding to see where he was, Ben began to walk through the trees to see if he could get out of these woods. The sound of a loud roar in the distance was a great motivator for Ben to go faster. Eventually coming to a clearing up ahead, Ben came out of the tree line and on to a hill that overlooked everything.
"Great, looks like I'll be able to see where I'm at" Ben said to himself
Ben then looked out over the hill and saw something that he never thought he'd ever see before. Over the hill was flat land and all over it was dinosaurs, actual dinosaurs in all shapes and sizes. Each were either eating, drinking from ponds, taking care of their young or just relaxing and doing nothing.
"Well, better not let a crazy rich make a park here" Ben said to himself
A/N: Hey there readers here is an awesome new story for you to read and one that has yet to have been done on here until now. I know this chapter is short and doesn't have a lot in it but its here so you can get the basics of Ben's mission and what he has to do to save not only his universe but the other universes. I know I ended on dinosaurs and I'm sure you readers want to see more of that but you'll just have to for next Wednesday for the next chapter that will be all about dinosaurs.
Do expect plenty of Jurassic Park references and any other show or movie that has dinosaurs in it. Also can you guess why this threat is attacking the universe and how is Ben going to save it. To answer some questions before any of you readers ask them, I will be using Omniverse designs for the aliens, there won't be any ultimates that Ben uses, new chapters will be published every Wednesday. This story isn't going to be rated M I want to keep at least to a T but if it needs to go to M I will change it.
I'm not going straight away into the versions of Ben you saw in those Omniverse episodes, instead you'll get to see brand new ones. Oh yeah, I'm also taking any ideas for possible universes that you readers would like to see. Normally I would answer questions and respond to comments at the end of a chapter but since this is the first one I'll do it in the next chapter.
