Bellwood
Running through the destroyed streets of Bellwood we see a young plumber running as fast as they can. They appear to be in a panic and constantly looking back over their shoulder. A loud noise appears to be following the young plumber as they run. Jumping over destroyed and flipped over car, the plumber lands on their feet. Before they can continue to run, an arm comes out from under the car and grabs the ankle of the plumber.
"GET OFF OF ME!!!" The plumber yells as he unloads energy rounds from his plumber rifle into the arm
It doesn't take long for the arm to be shot off of whatever body it is connected to, freeing the plumber. Before the plumber could once again run away the sound of whatever following him gets closer. Multiple figures slowly crawl over the car revealing themselves to the plumber.
They looked to be a group of humans but the plumber didn't have long to wait see who they were. As more human looking figures come around the destroyed car moaning, the plumber aims his gun at them.
"Screw this I'm out of here" the plumber said lowering his rifle, running away as more figures began to appear
The plumber then ran down the street away from the shambling figures that were after him. The plumber then turned the corner and then stopped at a four way stop that had broken poles, destroyed cars and other vehicles around it. The plumber stopped and began to take a moment to catch their breath. Once the plumber looked back and saw that whatever was following them was gone.
"Good riddance" the plumber said to themselves
As the plumber was about to continue on to find a safe place to hide there was a loud crash in the center of the four way stop. The force of the crash created a strong gust that pushed everything around it backwards. The plumber did their best to keep their footing as a dust cloud hit them. Once the dust settled, the plumber looked up and saw a large figure standing in crater. The plumber could barely see the figure but they could make out a large body that appeared to have four arms. Once of those four arms appeared to be missing half of it.
"That can't be good" the plumber said backing away as they readied their rifle
The large figure stepped forwards and the plumber could see that it was a large Tetramand. However unlike a regular Tetramand, this one had rotting flesh, half of an exposed ribcage, half of its face was missing with an exposed jaw and that half a missing arm with a bone that had broken off into a sharp spike. The Tetramand made a grunting noise before roaring loudly as it slowly walked over to the plumber.
The plumber looked behind the Tetramand and saw a large horde of walking human and aliens who appeared to be in the same shape as the Tetramand
"I am not prepared for this" the plumber said to themselves
The plumber then aimed their rifle at the Tetramand and was about to fire before something came out of nowhere and hit the Tetramand in the chest. Whatever hit the Tetramand created a hole in its rotting chest and made it stagger backwards a bit. The plumber not wanting to waste any time went to fire at the Tetramand but was stopped by a flashing red light and a beeping sound. Suddenly there was a massive explosion that instantly destroyed the Tetramand turning its body into a bloody mess with chunks everywhere.
As more of those alien and humans shambled over the plumber didn't know what to do
"DUCK!!!" A voice yelled
The plumber not knowing what to do ducked like the voice told them to do as a red beam of energy shot above his head and cut the humans and aliens in half. Once they were all dead two figures walked over to the plumber and helped them up. The plumber opened their eyes and saw a Revonnahgander wearing blue plumber armor. The other was a wearing green and white armor as scars covered their face.
"R…R…Rook Blonko, Ben…Ben Tennyson" the plumber said in awe of the two standing before him
"Get down" Rook said
"And get behind us" Ben said
As the plumber got behind Rook and Ben the two began to fire on another horde of humans and aliens. Rook had his prototool transform into an energy heavy machine gun. Ben lifted his left arm up as it became covered in a pale green crystal that fired crystal shards at the horde. Once the horde was completely wiped out the two stopped. Rook's prototool had turned back to its original configuration as Ben's arm returned to normal.
"You good kid?" Ben asked the young plumber
The young plumber nodded their head
"We need to return back to the base, it isn't safe out here" Rook said looking around
"Your right, we made too much noise" Ben said
As the two began to leave the area, the young plumber stopped them
"Wait" the young plumber said
Ben and Rook turned back around and looked at the young plumber
"Come on kid we need to get going before more of those dead heads show up" Ben said
"What's going on here? What happened to everyone, everything?" The young plumber asked the two standing before him
"Couldn't you tell? This my fellow plumber is the end of the world" Rook answered
"Welcome to hell, welcome to the undead nightmare" Ben said
Ben 10: Undead Nightmare
It all started when a group known as the Children of Rebirth stole alien technology from the plumbers and built a bomb that would fulfill their ultimate goal which was to well "restart the Earth" or in simpler terms "cause a massive rebirth". Of course the plumbers went to stop them, unfortunately they didn't bring Ben Tennyson and his partner Rook with them. They were busy stopping an arms deal in space with Ben's best friend Kevin Levin and Ben's cousin Gwendolyn.
As expected of the plumbers who went to stop the Children of Rebirth's bomb, they failed and the bomb went off. While the explosion was massive, it didn't destroy the world like a massive laser fired from a moon sized space station would. Instead a large cloud of green gas filled the area and the nearby town. The gas disappeared as quickly as it appeared and it seemed to have done nothing which was a surprise to the Children of Rebirth. The group of plumbers on the other hand were glad nothing happened.
They instead arrested the cult members and brought them back to the plumber base. That was the start of everything, the start of the end and the beginning of an even greater nightmare. Once the cult members were placed in cells the plumbers who arrested them were tested for toxins and things of that matter. Placed in an observation room they slowly began to turn as a virus ate them from the inside out.
When they were checked up on by doctors the newly undead plumbers attacked the doctors and ate them. From there the virus spread all throughout the plumber base like wildfire. Eventually the station ended up crashing down onto the town of Bellwood releasing the virus onto its people. When the virus came down to Undertown, things truly went from bad to worse.
The virus affected aliens differently then it did humans, most aliens who weren't unique ended up like the humans. However those who possessed unique abilities kept their strength and their abilities which made them a super variant. Whatever plumbers that were on Earth and in Bellwood did all that they could to hold the infection and put an end to it. Unfortunately they failed and their numbers were cut in half, with hardly any firepower the remaining plumbers had to hunker down and hide.
When Ben and his team returned they had discovered the city in ruins and found the station destroyed and overrun with the undead. The group fought as many off as they could until they found the remaining plumbers. Unfortunately there was some loses and the young heroes were never the same after that. In the hidden and safe plumber bunker, Ben and the others discovered that the virus had taken over the entire planet within hours after it was released into the atmosphere.
From there a search for a cure had begun and also a need for survival, no one knew how long it would or how long they would be able to survive this nightmare
Underground Plumber Bunker
"Corpses, Walkers, Shamblers, Infected, Afflicted, whatever you want to call them, a zombie is a zombie and there is only one way to kill a zombie, shooting them in the head" Ben says to the new plumber recruits
"There are two types of these infected to look out for, there are the common human undead, they are slow and react to sound, alone they are weak, in numbers and massive hordes they are deadly, alongside them are our alien infected, they come in two classes, common aliens who have no unique abilities and are similar to humans" Rook began to explain
"The second type of undead are far more dangerous and the ones you definitely need to look out for, they are your powered undead, zombified aliens with enhanced strength, speed and other unique abilities" Ben finished
"Tetramands, Kinceleran, Vaxasaurian and a few other alien undead are extremely difficult to kill" Rook said
"Here is a tip when dealing with these types of undead, while having powers and abilities, they are still zombies and their brains are still rotted as are their bodies, destroying the brain is still the only way to kill them" Ben began to explain
"Also to be noted, Kincelerans are no longer as fast as they once were when they were alive, they are still faster then your normal undead, Tetramands are still strong however they are completely blind and you can only damage them by shooting them in the head or shooting them in the head which makes them angry and turns them into a charging juggernaut" Rook continued
"We suggest that if you encounter one make sure to completely destroy the head in one go or damage the body to the point where it can't function anymore" Ben said
Ben and Rook then moved on to telling the recruits about the virus itself
"From what our researchers tell us, this new virus, our human plumbers call the "Romero Virus" for reasons I do not know have shown us that these undead spread the virus through their blood and saliva" Rook told the plumber recruits
"That basically means don't get bitten and don't get scratched, if you do there is no cure and you will either have to cut off the limb that was bitten before it spreads or you will have to take your own life shooting yourself in the head or any other way that destroys your brain" Ben said showing the plumber recruits his robotic left arm
"You recruits are probably scared and we understand, however as plumbers it is our duty to protect the planet we are assigned to and this virus is destroying the planet, our mission now is to wipe out as many infected as we can and to find a potential cure" Rook said
"Is this understood?" Ben asked the plumber recruits
All of the plumber recruits stood up straight and gave both Ben and Rook a salute
"Sir, yes Sir" they all said
"Good now be for assignment" Ben said
Time Skip
Underground Plumber Bunker Lab
Ben and Rook walk into the lab where Blukic and Driba are building new weapons for the plumbers to use while Gwendolyn in her Anodite form is working on a cure along with a few other plumber scientists
"So what have you discovered cous?" Ben asked Gwendolyn as he entered the room with Rook
"Well so far we've really only discovered how the virus works and what it does to the host body" Gwendolyn answered
One of the scientists walked over and pressed a button on a computer that showed a microscopic image of the virus inside a body
"The virus itself eats all the protein in a body, destroying its metabolism that's why the bodies rot quickly and die, however the virus needs more to survive so it leaves the host with enough to be able to function" the scientist explained
"It rots parts of the brain away leaving only the parts that control muscle movements and the bare minimum of body functions" Gwendolyn also explained
"So it's just like any other zombie virus from movies, TV shows and comics" Ben said unamused
"That's where your wrong Ben, the virus is alive and it needs proteins and other important nutrients to survive, when it the host consumes a living being the virus absorbs all the nutrients and proteins, making it stronger while giving the host body enough to keep going" Gwendolyn said
"Since it is sentient then, is there a hive mind controlling it?" Rook asked
"No, they are self sufficient, their only goal is to grow stronger and to spread further" the scientist answered
"That's great and all but we need to figure out a way to cure this thing or at least find a way to completely wipe it out" Ben said
"While a cure hasn't been found yet, a way to completely destroy the virus has been found" the scientist said
"What is it then? Tell me" Ben said
"Our research has shown that virus cannot last in extremely hot environments and becomes unstable when introduced with high levels of heat" the scientist said
"So all of those dried up corpses laying around everywhere are bodies without a virus inside them?" Rook asked
"No, the virus inside them has dried up and has gone into a dormant state, it will eventually die but when the body becomes wet say from a rainstorm the virus absorbs the minerals from the water and reanimates" Gwendolyn answered
"We can't really control the weather cous" Ben said
"I know that but what we've seen is that when a body is destroyed the virus leaves and moves on to another potential host, alive or dead, however, when the head of a host is destroyed by an intense heat the virus burns completely and stops the spread" Gwendolyn said explaining what she had found
"That's where we come in" Driba
"We are building specialized blasters that produce an energy round with enough heat to disintegrate the virus into nothingness" Blukic said
"Its isn't a cure like we planned but it is a solution to one of our current problems" Gwendolyn said
Hearing all of this Ben was thinking about how there could be a way to wipe out the virus entirely, all in one go
"I know you said immense heat can make the virus go dormant and intense heat will the destroy the virus but could there be a way to do both all in one?" Ben asked
"I mean it is possible but what are we talking about here Ben?" Gwendolyn asked
"I figure it like this, you can't go back into your human form because the virus is dormant inside of you and can't feed off your energy body, correct?" Ben asked
"That's true, I was bitten while human but since my Anodite body doesn't have anything the virus can consume it is laying dormant" Gwendolyn answered confused
"Now picture this, since the virus is dormant it is vulnerable to say a blast of intense heat strong enough to destroy it completely" Ben said
"If I heat my body up it could create an explosion and kill everyone and both my bodies would be destroy in the process" Gwendolyn said
"I know but say it happens to a zombie, to the body would stop moving and the virus would be instantly destroyed" Ben said
"What are you getting at Ben?" Rook asked
"I am saying we build a device that has the power to cover the Earth in an immense heat causing all the infected in the world to shut down, once they are all shut down, the device creates an exact temperature to destroy the virus in each and every body" Ben answered giving his plan
"You are basically saying we need to create a device that would cause a massive and immense global warming effect to the entire planet" Gwendolyn said
"I know it sounds crazy but if you get the math right it could work" Ben said
"I hate to have to tell you this Ben but something like that could end up destroying the world instead of saving what's left" Gwendolyn said
"Heating up the Earth like that may accidentally burn all life on the surface killing anything and everything up there" the scientist said
Hearing that Ben couldn't believe it or well he didn't want to accept that, Gwendolyn knew what she was talking about and the scientists knew more then him. While destroying the virus completely and killing of the zombies was a bonus, destroying the surface of the Earth wasn't an option.
"Look I know you want to avenge your parents and grandpa Max, I want to do the same with my parents and our grandpa as well" Gwendolyn said putting a hand on Ben's shoulder
"Until we find a way, we must keep fighting and surviving" Rook said
Before Ben could say anything the alarm in the entire bunker went off flashing red
"Code Red, Code Red: Plumber Team Beta Is In Danger, Repeat Plumber Team Beta Is In Danger" the voice over the intercom said
"Isn't that Helen and Manny's team?" Ben asked
"It is, they were sent out near the crashed plumber station" Rook answered
"That's where a massive horde of zombies are" Ben said
"You two need to go and save them immediately" Gwendolyn said
Ben pressed a button on his left arm and activated a voice com
"Rook and I are on our way to save beta team, send us their coordinates now" Ben said over the com on his arm
As Ben and Rook ran out the door Blukic said something to them
"While you are saving them bring us back some scavenged technology" Blukic said
"Also find us a Mr. Smoothie's smoothie machine" Driba said
"Oh, that as well" Blukic said
A/N: And there you have it readers the first official chapter of my Ben 10 Zombie story. I hope you all liked this chapter and are wanting to see more of the story. I know a lot of you who will read this chapter will have plenty of questions. I will answer them to the best of my ability but for some I can't answer. Instead when it comes to questions that will spoil the story I will let you know they will be answered in a future chapter. For now I am going to continue to build up the story and make it even more interesting and exciting.
This story will be mature but not for strong language or lemon scenes, just straight up bloody and messy zombie killing. I could make it a T rating but I went with M just play it safe, I don't know what will do to my story if its rated wrong. I'm not going to give all the story away but I will say expect the unexpected. Normally I would answer questions and respond to comments at the end of this chapter but since it's the first one I'll do it in the next chapter and so on.
