Epilogue
Clemont wiped his brow and pushed his glasses back into place when he was done building his giant Zangoose robot.
"Sorry it took a while Bonnie," Clemont said. "But the Super Mega Zangoose Bot is complete. A Seviper doesn't stand a chance now." He saw that Bonnie was no where in sight and began to panic. "Bonnie? Bonnie, where are you?"
"Over here, Clemont!" Cried out a cheery little voice. Clemont saw that it was indeed his little sister.
"Dedenne!" Dedenne called out as well. Clemont became angry with the child.
"Bonnie, I told you to stay with me! There are poisonous Sevipers amok. It's not safe. You could have been badly poisoned or worse." Bonnie stopped.
"But Clemont," She said to him. "you were taking forever. All of the Sevipers are gone now. We won! Isn't that great?"
"Dedenne!" Clemont was shocked.
"What!? You can't be serious!"
"Yup!" Timmy replied. "I got rid of every single one of them with my fairies! Why I didn't do that earlier was beyond stupid of me, but oh well! What are you going to do, am I right? I'm right." Clemont looked crushed.
"So my Super Mega Zangoose Bot was for nothing?"
"Yeah, looks like it. Sorry." Clemont frowned.
"Aw, man. All of my 'future is now, thanks to science talent' wasted."
"Cheer up, Clemont." Ash said to him. "I think science is still amazing."
"Yeah!" Jimmy Neutron, Sandy Cheeks, Cilan and Kolwalski agreed together.
"Thanks for trying to cheer me up, Ash." Clemont told his friend.
"No problem!" Ash responded.
"I feel like such a failure." He looked at his sister. "Sorry, Bonnie."
"You missed everything, Clemont!" Bonnie said to him, "Luxray and Bunnelby battled hard."
"Luxray!" Luxray agreed.
"Bunnelby!" The bunny Pokemon agreed as well. The two Pokemon went back to Clemont as he returned them to their Poke Balls.
"I almost fell to my death!" Charmander cried.
"You also missed detective time that Grimer, Layton, Steve, Roger and the other detectives did." Cilan put in. Roger was annoyed with this. He gestured for the tall green haired gym leader to come to him, which he did. "Yes?" He saw Roger gesturing him down to his level. Cilan bent down, only to be slapped in the face. He was surprised by this, so were the other cartoons.
"Never say that again!" The alien snapped at him. "Ever; got it?"
"I got it, but that's no reason for slapping tim…" Roger slapped him again. Cilan looked down, defeated. "Yes, sir." Cilan got back up. He frowned. "I wish I did detec…" He saw that Roger was giving him a look. "I mean, I wished I joined in with the other detectives to solve this case. This was a missed opportunity."
"I wished I joined too." Rototom Dex agreed sadly. "But sadly, we didn't. Maybe next time."
"Good thing this ship wasn't crawling with Purrloin, eh, Cilan?" Iris teased. "You would be a total wreck." Cilan laughed nervously.
"Thank goodness." He agreed. Tuff laughed.
"I don't even know what Purrloin are, but I find it hilarious that you are scared of them!" Tiff eyed her brother.
"I just realized something." Huey said. He looked at Cilan. "You are green haired and like the color green and your brothers like the colors red and blue."
"They are both red and blue haired respectively." Cilan added.
"And you guys are also triplets just like my brothers and I."
"Coincidence?" Dewy said. "I think not!" He saw that he was getting looks. "Sorry, but I always wanted to say that." Tails went up to the Lumiose gym leader.
"And I know you and I have something in common as well." The fox said. "We both had to deal with unspeakable, heart-wrenching decisions in having to destroy who we loved. You with your original robot and mine with my sweet, sweet Cosmo."
"Hey!" Cosmo spoke up. "That's me? And what is he talking about? I'm right here, alive, well, and kicking."
"Different Cosmo." His wife told him. "Plus I think his Cosmo is female."
"Oh. Yeah, it's definitely not me then."
"You were working on that robot for what seemed like three years, ol' boy." Toadsworth told Clemont. "In fact, I was thinking 'what if we wait and when three years are up, you'd have been wondering where everybody had gone. Don't worry, your sister would have been safe. But that would have been cruel if we did that. We'd laugh about it though maybe…" He saw Clemont's gloating face. "or maybe not." Bonnie looked up at Misty.
"See how my brother is?" Misty sighed.
"I guess. That's still no excuse to be mean to him."
"Like how you used to pull on my ears all of the time, Misty?" Brock teased. "And kicked me in the face that one time?"
"Well, you deserved it every time you met a girl that you like and we had to focus on our journeys. Also, you deserved that kick too for tricking me into thinking that I had a creepy bug on me."
"It's still mean though."
"Yeah, well, I did what I had to do."
"Well, this cruise is just about over with" Toadsworth stated. "And what a cruise it was too. We laughed, we cried. So many memories, good and bad. I'm going to miss them, but they are forever stored in our brains." He looked at Clemont. "Sorry ol' chum."
"I guess I'll dismantle my bot then." Clemont said sadly. But before he could even touch his robot, it exploded in his face. Water shot into the sky and drenched the cartoons and some of them were caught in the explosion. Cries rang out. Bart laughed, seeing Clemont and the cartoons who were caught in the explosion's now black sooted faces.
"Well, I guess that was easy, huh?" He jeered. "Boy, you guys should see your faces! You really made a dud, didn't you?" Homer grew angry with his son.
"Why you little,..." He said. He saw Marge's expression. "we'll settle this later, boy."
"And your dud exploding tried to kill me!" Charmander shouted at. Clemont. "That's two times today where I was almost killed. Can't a Charmander get a break? What did I ever do to you?"
"Sorry." Clemont apologized. He looked at a glaring Toadsworth. "And sorry about the ship. Luckily nothing worse happened."
"Yeah." Toadsworth added. "Very lucky."
"My brother always makes duds that blow up in his face." Bonnie said, then looked at Misty. "Sorry."
"No, no." Misty said. "If he does, he does. I believe you. Brothers will be brothers and sisters will be sisters. You just have to live with that."
"I guess. That's why I want to make sure Clemont finds the right woman to marry. I want her to take care of him well." She then felt something tug at her shirt and lift her off of the ground. It was Clemont's Aipom robot arm machine from his bag. He was embarrassed.
"How many times do I have to tell you to stop this, Bonnie?" He asked her. "I'll find the right one when I'm good and ready. This is and always will be so embarrassing. I just wish no other big brother has to put up with this nightmare." Misty giggled. Clemont looked at her. "What's so funny?"
"You and your sister." Misty replied. "She's just being a good sister and just looking out for you is all. I think it's cute." Clemont became mad at her.
"It is not cute; don't encourage her!"
"You're going to thank me for this someday, Clemont." Bonnie told him. "One of these days, I'll find you a real keeper. It could be tomorrow or the next day or the next day. Just know that it will be someday." Clemont sighed. He was really getting sick and tired of this.
Pokemon narrator: Despite Clemont building his robot and not seeing the last bit of the action with the Sevipers, he was secretly glad that his sister disobeyed him and didn't stay for what seemed like three years with him. He was glad that his sister got to see the action instead, despite it being dangerous. He would rather have his sister happy than upset and impatient with him. And although Bonnie had her annoying bad habits, he knew deep down that he would always be there for her, because that is what good siblings do. And with that, this cruise is coming to an end and this story is really and truly over with.
