*Entry #74: The Truth of Pink Diamond
...No. I... I didn't think it was actually possible. I mean, I've had theories, but still... And after hearing it from Steven's mouth... This is a lot to take in. From what I learned, Steven had to go into Pearl's gem for a little adventure, and during his time there, he learned a secret that change everything. I couldn't enter Pearl's gem, but after Steven emerged all surprised and frozen, I managed to infer the whole it turned out, Pearl used to belong to Pink Diamond and followed her every order. On the day that Pink was shattered, it turns out that it wasn't like everybody thought they saw. Right before it happened, Pink Diamond swallowed shards of ordinary gems. Pearl, on Rose Quartz' orders, then changed her shape into Rose and used her sword to poof Pink Diamond without actually shattering her. The shards left behind made everyone believe that Pink Diamond had been shattered. But that's not the biggest bombshell. It's actually a lot more complicated, yet so simple and obvious now that I look at all my facts, the true connection between Pink Diamond and Rose Quartz. It's why Pearl had to become Rose Quartz to strike Pink Diamond instead of Rose doing the deed herself. Why Pearl suddenly turned on her own Diamond just because Rose said so. It's why Steven had so many miraculous abilities that supposedly belonged to a Rose Quartz soldier. The truth could be either really good or really bad if it's ever revealed to the other Diamonds. The truth is... there was never any rogue Rose Quartz. It was all a ruse. Steven isn't just the son of a war hero, he's also the son of a Diamond. All along... Rose Quartz was really Pink Diamond.
