*Entry #75: The True Story of Pink Diamond

Well, the whole "Pink Diamond pretending to be Rose Quartz" thing landed quite a blow on the Crystal Gems. Garnet even split up over it. Thankfully, Pearl told the truth about Pink Diamond to ease the situation which somehow lead to Ruby and Sapphire deciding to be married. As sweet as that is, I'm making this entry to discuss the real history of Pink Diamond, which I learned from a bugging device I left at the Rose Quartz fountain where Pearl told it from. Apparently, Earth was Pink Diamond's first planet given to her by Blue and Yellow. Pearl was at Pink Diamond's side the whole time, so she knows everything that happened. Even though Pink Diamond got her own planet, she wasn't allowed to make unscheduled visits to the Kindergardens which bred her soldiers. In order to get a sneak peek, she disguised herself as a Rose Quartz. She was even curious about the planet they settled on. But the more she explored, the more she learned the truth that making a new colony would drain this planet of everything that makes it alive. She tried to convince Blue and Yellow to pull everyone off of Earth, but they didn't listen. So she pretended to be Rose Quartz as a means of making every Gem leave. She originally wanted to do it alone with only Pearl alongside her, but after witnessing Ruby and Sapphire fuse for the first time, she decided to make Earth also as a sanctuary for the outcast Gems, which started the Crystal Gems. After the Diamonds kept insisting to stay on Earth until it was hollowed out, Pink Diamond decided to fake her shattering to make Homeworld leave. She reformed with her new Rose Quartz body and the rest is history. I gotta admit, seeing Rose Quartz as Pink Diamond now, I can see why she did what she did, why she even hid her own true identity. In some ways, I think I can relate to that seeing how distant I am from my own father. Things haven't been the same since my mother... Well, it got really hard for me. That's all there is to it. But now that the big mystery of Pink Diamond has been solved, I guess I can get back to my own mystery. Maybe I'll swing by that wedding when it arrives.
