Here is the second conversation Noelle has to have and the first with a potential rival since realizing that she was in love with Asta. By the title I am sure that y'all can guess which character she has to talk to this time so I won't say anymore here. In terms of the show's timeline, this takes place after they return to the hideout following their trip to Hage in ep. 131 and before Mereoleona kidnaps them in ep. 132 so there are spoilers from some of the episodes between 126 and 132. That is all I have to say for now, I will answer any questions posed in reviews or PMs (I do like to here from y'all so don't be shy) at the start of the next chapter as I have found that there have been some great questions or points in reviews in the past with my other stories.

Summary - It has been a hectic time for Noelle since her talk with Charlotte and the realization of her feelings for Asta. She's been through a lot, both Asta and family related, and it hasn't even been a fortnight yet since her realization. However, things are dying down which means that it is time to final confront someone and learn the truth about her feelings for Asta. Does Noelle have a rival for Asta within the Black Bulls?

Confronting the Kuudere

Noelle walked through the female quarters of the hideout looking for the room in question as she tried to calm her nerves for what she had to do. It wasn't something that she wanted to do but it was something that she needed to do after her recent realization about herself. She would have done it earlier, but several things had come up preventing it until now.

The realization had been a little over a week prior when she had received a letter from Captain Charlotte Roselei of the Blue Rose Knights requesting to speak to her. It had been right after Noelle's own Captain had visited the Blue Rose Captain regarding her childhood curse as part of their investigation into the devils that they had to conduct to clear Asta's name from the false charges brought against him by the Chairman of the Magical Parliament.

The timing and letter implied that it had to do with the curse as there was something else to it that Charlotte hadn't told Yami as she was uncomfortable telling a man it but felt that the Black Bulls needed to know it, so she had asked Noelle to come instead. She had indeed told Noelle what it was, and the royal had understood why she had not told Yami as it meant admitting that she loved a man, something that was almost unthinkable given Charlotte's personality, but it was apparently true.

However, that had not been the only reason for the meeting. No, Charlotte had summoned Noelle in particular for another reason she wished to discuss with the Black Bull girl. That reason had been to call Noelle out regarding her own romantic feelings for a certain ash haired boy with no magic and help her finally come to terms with them.

In fairness Noelle didn't really have much of a choice in the matter of whether she wanted to confront those feelings or not. She had been in a cocoon of Charlotte's briars and the older woman already knew the truth due to deducing it the day before thanks to Asta himself, though the dense idiot didn't know that he'd revealed it to Charlotte.

As such, Noelle had finally been forced to face her own feelings towards Asta and finally admit to herself, and ultimately Charlotte, that she didn't just have feelings for Asta but that she was fully in love with him. She had been deep in denial to herself for multiple reasons and Charlotte, who seemed to understand her on some level, had been able to get Noelle to finally overcome her denial.

Of course, admitting that she loved Asta and doing anything about it were two completely different things. Noelle was still the same around him and reacted with violence when she got flustered or jealous around him but at least now she understood why she did it, even if she couldn't do anything about her instinctive reactions just yet. Alas if that had been her only problem it would have been fine, but it wasn't.

Almost as soon as she was done with Charlotte she had gone to check up on Solid and Nebra at the family home. While there Noelle had talked with her eldest sibling Nozel who revealed that she hadn't been the one to kill their mother. Nozel hadn't been able to tell her anything more than that but had told her to see Dorothy Unsworth, the Captain of the Coral Peacocks, to get the answers she sought.

Noelle had done just that because she wanted the answers and Dorothy, who was miraculously awake and coordinating a cleanup area with some members of her squad, had agreed to help her by using her Dream Magic to transport Noelle to her Glamor World. Of course, Dorothy had decided to have some fun with Noelle by using her own thoughts to create an Asta that was into Noelle because she thought about him all the time, even more so now that she'd admitted her feelings to herself, which had freaked her out. She had reacted appropriately to that.

It appeared that Dorothy was a peppy and fun-loving woman but who could also be serious as she did answer Noelle's questions about her mother right after she had her fun with Noelle. She told Noelle the truth, her mother had been killed not by Noelle's birth but by a devil called Megicula but because of the curse that had killed Acier Silva, those who knew couldn't speak about it in the real world lest they die as well. It was why Nozel had never told Noelle the truth but because Dorothy's Glamor World wasn't part of the real world they could speak freely about it there.

The revelation had been shocking to Noelle to say the least but at the same time she was relieved to know that she hadn't killed her mother, but a devil had, a devil that they had discovered was currently in the Spade Kingdom. Noelle had vowed vengeance against Megicula and would do anything to destroy the devil.

To that end Noelle had been one of the 5 people who had gone to the Heart Kingdom when Asta had come back from visiting Gordan's family and learning about forbidden curses from his family as they had a history with curse magic so were some help in their investigation. During that visit they had discovered that there was a massive forbidden curse in the Heart Kingdom and with the help of Mimosa Vermillion, Noelle had been able to go there to investigate alongside Mimosa, Asta, and Finral. Nero had also joined them in bird form but revealed herself while there when the Water Spirit Undine tested Asta's power.

Other than pretty much confirming that Mimosa had feelings for Asta and was thus a rival that Noelle now had to contend with, the trip had been enlightening and interesting. They learned that the curse was on the Queen of the Heart Kingdom herself and that she had at best a year to live before it killed her. That was why they needed to invade the Spade Kingdom where the devil who had cursed her was and defeat it to free her. That devil just so happened to be Megicula.

That had only been part of the trip though. They had also learned about the mage stages that was used to classify magical power in the Heart Kingdom and that according to their system Asta and Nero were Arcane Stage because their abilities couldn't be classified. They also learned that only Stage 1, 0 or Arcane mages could defeat a devil. They also learned that they had 6 months to prepare before the Heart Kingdom was ready for some intense training to get ready for the impending invasion.

All this had been reported back to the Wizard King and the Magic Knight Captains and plans had begun for the invasion. The Clover Kingdom was now in an alliance with the Heart Kingdom against the Spade Kingdom in preparation for the war to come while the Diamond Kingdom had basically already fallen to the Spade Kingdom. They had a year to prepare, 6 months now to train and get ready before Noelle joined Asta, Nero, Mimosa and a few others in the Heart Kingdom for the other 6 months.

Lastly there had been the impromptu trip Asta had wanted to take to visit his home in Hage Village. Noelle had just learned to use a broom to fly and had offered to take Asta there because she wanted to see the village he'd grown up in and feel him hold onto her as she flew, though she wouldn't admit that to him.

It had been a strange experience to say the least. Not only had they run into Asta's childhood rival Yuno on the way, which had led to a childish race between the two, but Asta had also proposed to her. Well, Noelle thought it was to her as who else could it be to, and she'd freaked out and crashed her broom into him. She also hadn't been able to give a straight answer not because she didn't want to marry him, she would in a heartbeat now that she understood her feelings for him, but because they were too young, and it was too soon.

As such she'd played it off as too sudden. Before Asta could add anything though they were interrupted by the Father of the church there who noted that Noelle was Asta's teammate and the Sister there, a Sister Lily, had said that Asta mentioned her in his letters. Naturally, Noelle's mind went straight to Asta confessing his love for her in the letters and her instincts kicked in and she blasted him with water though she really hoped that it had been that.

After that, the rest of the trip was pretty normal. They went to the new magic school that had been built in the wake of Asta and Yuno's success as Magic Knights and helped out, though the less said about Noelle, Yuno and Nero playing house with some little children the better. The day had then ended with a feast of various Nomotato dishes that had been as drying as Noelle remembered.

All of that excitement and travel had made the last few days pretty hectic and draining for Noelle but finally they had calmed down it seemed. Yami had given them the next 6 months off to begin training as they saw fit and Noelle fully intended to use that time to get as strong as possible. However, there was one thing she needed to do now that she had a moment and this thing had nothing to do with training.

No, this had to do with her recent acceptance of her feelings for Asta. Noelle had always been jealous of any girl around Asta, especially those like that Rebecca chick in Nean who actively liked Asta the same way she did, but until accepting that she did like Asta that way Noelle hadn't understood why she was so jealous of other women being close to Asta. That jealousy had led her to do many irrational things, though this time while it was a driving force for her impending actions, it was not irrational. This time it was driving her to confront someone regarding how she felt about Asta.

Now that Noelle could say to herself that she was in love with Asta, and deeply in love at that, she could finally deal with her jealousy in a slightly more controlled way and confront her rivals for Asta. She was waiting for the right moment to confront Mimosa, hopefully before they went to the Heart Kingdom again while she hoped that she'd never have to confront that psycho bitch Sally, but her gut told her that they hadn't seen the last of the former Midnight Sun member. Kahono and Rebecca would be confronted in time but those two were more a matter of right place right time and weren't as large threats as Mimosa. That just left one confrontation that Noelle could do now.

Alas this was the one confrontation that she was the most nervous about for a few reasons. The first and biggest one was that the girl was one of her teammates in the Black Bulls so it could be an awkward conversation, but Noelle had to confront her regardless due to the other reason.

That reason was the simple fact that she wasn't sure what feelings Nero had towards Asta, but she knew that her jealousy always flared up when the cute girl with horns on her head was around Asta, but they didn't around Vanessa, Charmy or Grey. Noelle had to get to the bottom of this now and the only way to do so was to talk to Nero directly.

That was why Noelle was now standing outside Nero's room in the base and deciding whether to knock or not as she was still hesitant about this. Since being unsealed from her bird form and becoming a member of the Black Bulls Nero had her own room in the hideout. Before, back when she was still a bird, she had a nest on Asta's windowsill meaning she'd shared a room with him, something that made Noelle extremely jealous even if Asta hadn't known that Nero was a cute girl back then. Now, though, she had her own room, so Noelle didn't have to worry about that.

The problem was that Nero seemed to spend half her time in human and half her time in bird form these days. She often traveled in bird form by perching on Asta's head, something that again made Noelle jealous, though it did make sense such as when they went to the Heart Kingdom as it allowed her to travel without restrictions.

However, she also spent a good amount of time as a bird in the base, so it was hard to predict when she was in human form and when she was not. That said, it was nighttime, so Noelle felt that she had a good chance of encountering Nero in her human form at the moment.

Steeling her resolve and reminding herself that she was a royal and a royal should be able to do this without a problem, Noelle raised her fist and knocked on Nero's door. She waited for a moment and when she didn't hear anything she got ready to leave and try again another time. As she was about to turn and head back to her own room she heard Nero's voice and at once she could tell that the girl was in human form, or had at least reverted back to it to answer the door.

"It's not locked, come in."

Noelle just sighed in preparation and opened the door to enter the room. It was similar to her own with a bed, desk, a couple of shelves, and a few other things. The shelves filled with books and what looked like magical tool things were on the desk showing that Nero was working on something in here and Noelle knew enough about Nero's past life to know that the girl was talented with magical item technology.

Nero herself was sitting at her desk and had turned the chair around to face Noelle as she entered. The Sealing Mage was in her usual dress with her Black Bull robe still on showing that she hadn't gotten ready for bed yet. She also didn't look fazed by Noelle coming to see her at all but then again Nero was pretty expressionless most of the time so Noelle couldn't tell what her reaction was. It was why Noelle had a hard time reading her and how she felt about Asta while her other rivals were more obvious.

"Noelle, this is a surprise." Nero said in her apathetic tone as Noelle closed the door behind her and awkwardly stood there. "Is there something that you need from me?"

"It's more I have a question for you about something, well someone actually." Noelle said nervously unsure how to phrase what she wanted to ask. "And I would like you to answer it honestly if you can."

"I see." Nero said with a small nod, she had been expecting this from Noelle for a while though this was sooner than she'd predicted as it had required the silver haired girl actually understanding her own feelings on the matter. "You wish to know what my feelings are towards Asta, right?"

"How'd you know?" Noelle asked her eyes wide in surprise at the other girl guessing what she wanted right off the bat.

"Because I know how you feel about him and how your jealousy towards other girls that show interest in him is uncontrollably." Nero said bluntly. "Though I am surprised that you are no longer in denial regarding your feelings, I figured it would take you a lot longer to realize how you felt."

"Oh, um, yeah, I, er, finally had some sense knocked into me on that front." Noelle admitted. "Well, I was forced to confront them head on with no escape that is. I had to push past my limits and ended up realizing the truth I'd been denying for so long. Wait! You knew I liked Asta!"

"Yes." Nero said simply. "It was painfully obvious Noelle."

"I didn't know that I loved him." Noelle said defensively. "How did you know?"

"Wait you are in love with him?" Nero said showing a brief flash of genuine surprise at that. "I didn't realize how deep your feelings for him ran."

"Ignore that for now." Noelle said dismissively. "I still want to know how you knew."

"Noelle, I am more than 500 years old, I am not blind." Nero said without emotion in her voice. "When I was stuck as a bird I learned to be observant and after deciding to stay and watch over Asta's grimoire I got to watch everything going on around him, especially how your relationship with him developed. You are far from subtle Noelle. You act like a lovesick schoolgirl who is deep in denial over her own feelings whenever you are around Asta."

"That bad?" Noelle asked with resignation in her voice.

"Worse." Nero said. "You always freaked out when you were in a situation where Asta showed how great he is, especially when it was directed towards you. You always mentioned him first when thinking about anything as if he was the first thing on your mind. Also, you also got really embarrassed whenever he was almost naked."

"Yeah he is always on my mind, and he does get me flustered." Noelle said. "But that can't be all of it."

"No, it's not and you know it." Nero said. "There is also rampant and uncontrollable jealousy making you do things like stalk him to Nean on two occasions. I am sure that a few other girls who like Asta know you are a rival to them. Course the guys we know are far too dense to realize so you don't have to worry about them."

"That is true." Noelle said with a sigh. "So, you saw all of this while you were a bird?"

"Most of it yes and because you didn't know I was actually a human you let it all out in front of me." Nero said which Noelle flinched at, she had been less guarded around just Nero, so it wasn't a surprise that the other girl had figured it out before she did herself.

"So, it wasn't hard to deduce that you had developed feelings for Asta and that you were deep in denial about them." Nero continued before looking at Noelle with intrigue in her eyes. "Now answer me this Noelle. When did you overcome your denial?"

"A little over a week ago." Noelle admitted with a small smile at how she'd finally accepted her feelings for Asta and how deep they were. "When Captain Charlotte requested I meet with her for tea. She wanted to tell me about the curse she has as there was something she didn't tell Yami but that was just the ruse to get me there so that she could tell me that I liked Asta. She helped me accept it and stop lying to myself."

"How'd she manage that?" Nero asked.

"Well, I was trapped in a cocoon of her briars so couldn't get out until I faced my feelings and push past my own limits in the process." Noelle explained. "When I did push past my denials I finally realized and accepted the truth. I am in love Asta, and I love him with all my heart."

"So that is what you were doing while I was with him and the three Gs at Gordon's family's place." Nero said glad to know that Noelle had been productive while she had been gone but not showing it. "Interesting."

"That wasn't the only thing that happened while you were way." Noelle said. "It was just the first of a few unexpected things that's all."

"And yet you are still the same way around Asta." Nero said. "I saw you pout when Mimosa made him lunch for the trip to the Heart Kingdom and you blasted him with water back in Hage when Sister Lily mention that Asta wrote about you in his letters which no doubt triggered your insecurities."

"Yeah that frustrated me and helped confirm that Mimosa likes him." Noelle said deciding not to address the stuff that happened in Hage, that was a little too private to share with Nero. "It's probably going to get worse now though seeing as I know I love him and am not in denial, so I'll be more aware of things and thus even more insecure when things happen."

"Yes you will be." Nero said in her usual blunt tone. "And that is likely why you have come to finally ask me about my feelings for Asta."

"Um, yes that is pretty much why." Noelle said. "Sorry, I know it is uncomfortable, but I have to know if you like him or not. I finally have the moment to ask and I'm not sure if I can sleep well without knowing where you stand on him. It's been like this since I realized you slept in his room as a bird and how close you two seem to be."

"I only slept there to keep an eye on his grimoire and the magic stone I took from Saussy Village." Nero said. "And I wasn't lying about pecking him when he snored, he does that and its really annoying to wake up to."

"It sounds cute to wake up to it." Noelle said with a blush at it. "Wait, I, er…"

"Are you seriously trying to deny it now?" Nero asked with a raised eyebrow. "I know that you know the truth of your feelings, you can be honest here about them."

"I guess I can, and yes I would like to wake up in Asta's arms to his snoring." Noelle said with a deep blush as she admitted to what she'd been thinking about when she slept now that she'd accepted her feelings for her teammate, and it did feel good to say it aloud to someone so long as that person wasn't Asta. "But, um, can you please keep this between us. Right now, only you and Charlotte know how I feel, and I'd like to keep it that way."

"Of course, I won't say a word of this conversation to anyone." Nero said with a small nod. "Not that anyone else will realize, especially not Asta given how dense he is. I do recall what he said to Charlotte the other day about you and her having similar feelings so I know he can't read you fully. He claimed to understand you, but I knew he was missing something because how dense he is. Even being blunt might not work with him."

"That is something I will deal with when I'm ready to face him." Noelle said knowing that she was still a long way from confessing to Asta. "First I have to face my rivals and let them know that I will win."

"Ah and you see me as a rival." Nero said. "Which is what brought this conversation on, am I right?"

"Pretty much." Noelle admitted. "Ever since I learned you were a cute girl our age I've begun to be jealous. Then when I realized that you'd slept in the same room as him and how much you argue with him and how you're always by his side, or on his head, well my jealousy got a lot worse. That's why I need to know how you feel about Asta. Do you have romantic feelings for him Nero?"

Nero blinked for a moment at the question the royal had posed her. It was what she had been expecting from Noelle since she'd arrived, but she hadn't really given it much thought. Did she have romantic feelings for Asta?

It was a tough question and one that Nero honestly didn't have an answer for. She had her reasons why she was hesitant to have feelings for Asta, but she couldn't deny that at the same time he had all the qualities she liked in a man because he was just like her prince in terms of his personality. Still, Noelle had come here in good faith with the goal of getting an answer and had been honest with Nero regarding her overcoming her denial of her feelings, as well as the depth of those feelings, so Nero felt that she owed the other girl the honest truth.

"If I'm being honest, I don't know." Nero said in her usual tone as Noelle blanched at that, it was not what she wanted to hear but it was better than what she feared until Nero continued. "I haven't ruled them out mind you, I just haven't committed to them yet."

"That really isn't helpful." Noelle said with a sigh. "It's no different to how I see it."

"And that is basically what it is." Nero said as she explained for Noelle's sake her position. "I only stuck with Asta to look over the grimoire at first but the more I stayed with him and the Black Bulls the more I saw who he truly was. He's reckless, foolish, dense, stubborn, and stupid."

"All true." Noelle agreed. "He is an idiot."

"But at the same time, he is determined and never gives up so long as he can stand and fight." Nero continued. "And he has a firm sense of what is right and wrong. He always wants to see the best in people, to talk to them and try and understand them so that everyone can get along and be happy in the Clover Kingdom. He wants this for all regardless of status and to ensure that discrimination ends, to make it that everyone gets along, and no one suffers."

"Yeah those are his greatest qualities." Noelle said with a smile at who Asta was. "They are why I fell for him I think. He stubbornly worked his way into my heart, and I was too proud to admit it, so I denied it until I was forced to accept it and understand that I love him."

"And it is those precise qualities that are the reason why I have decided to stay by his side until the very end." Nero said causing Noelle to crash down from her love cloud and gape at Nero. "Whether it be romantic or platonic, I will always stay by Asta's side when I can and fight with him until the very end. He will be the Wizard King and I told him as much when I gave him the final boost he needed to beat that devil by sealing away his physical stress so that he could transform one last time. I will always do everything in my power to ensure that Asta comes out victorious."

"On this we can agree then." Noelle said with a nod. "Whatever happens between me and Asta romantically, I know that I will never leave his side unless I have to and like you I know that he will be the next Wizard King. I support him fully in that goal and look forward to seeing the day that he achieves his dream."

"I know you will be by his side; I knew that the moment you volunteered to stay and help Hage Village during the incident." Nero said. "But Nozel was right, you were needed in the capital, and you made the right decision to stay with him and trust that Asta and Yuno could handle it."

"I was and I am glad I went." Noelle said. "I was needed there, and I reached my next stage of development while defending my family. It has gone a long way in helping mend my relationship with Nozel."

"You would have gotten in the way in Hage." Nero said bluntly. "Your presence would have been overkill."

"It would have been but back to my initial question which you still haven't fully." Noelle said shifting the conversation back to where they had started. "Why don't you know if you have feelings for Asta or not?"

"Because I have been in love before, and I lost that love before I could tell him how I felt." Nero said fighting back tears as she struggled to remain neutral faced before a shocked Noelle as that hadn't been what the royal expected to hear. "I lost my prince before I could tell him that I loved him thanks to that devil, so it is hard for me to open my heart again, especially so soon after losing him for good. That is the reason why I am hesitant with Asta because he reminds me so much of the man I loved and lost that I know I can fall for him, but I don't know if I can handle it again. I will always be loyal to Asta though."

"I see." Noelle said a little surprised by how emotional the usually apathetic girl sounded before she remembered something from the first time she'd met Nero in her human form and who had been with them before the magic that kept him alive faded for good. "That first love, your prince as you call him, he was the first Wizard King, wasn't he?"

"You were there when he left for good, so I figured you'd guess who my prince was." Nero said with a small nod and not meeting Noelle's eye so that the girl didn't see how emotional she was. "I was originally assigned as his servant because the other nobles of my time didn't understand my magic and saw me as weak, but Lumiere didn't see me that way. He was kind, supportive, and amazed by my magic. He taught me how to improve it and how to appreciate it. He was also passionate in his ideals and belief that we should treat everyone fairly and equally rather than how it the system was."

"He sounds a lot like Asta." Noelle said realizing just how similar they were. "He's the perfect person to be Wizard King if that is what the first one was like."

"Yes he is, it is why I grew attached to Asta while I watched over his grimoire." Nero said. "Julius is also in that vein, so I am glad that the current Wizard King is like the first as it shows that Lumiere's ideals are still alive today. It is also why Asta will be the next one. So, you can now see why I can't give you a straight answer on Asta."

"Yes I can." Noelle said understanding completely even if she didn't like the fact that Nero couldn't give her a straight answer. "And I am sorry for the pain you have been in because of my jealousy bringing it up by confronting you. That doesn't mean I will let my guard down around you though, I will still be wary of you."

"I expect no less." Nero said. "And thank you for accepting me, it has been a hard transition for me but being accepted by the Black Bulls has helped. Just like you, I see this band of misfits, weirdos, failures, and oddballs as my family. I didn't at first, but Captain Yami showed me that you all care for me when you interpreted that farce of a trial and gave me my robe. I will honor it and the squad to the very end. Whatever happens with my feelings for Asta and our potential rivalry over it, it won't change our relationship Noelle."

"I am glad, and we all meant what we said at the trial, you are one of us Nero and always will be, Charmy wanting to eat you at first notwithstanding." Noelle said with a smile. "And I agree it shouldn't change our relationship. It will be the same with Mimosa and Kahono when I confront them as well."

"Yes, you will have several rivals to deal with." Nero said before she suddenly yawned. "Huh, I guess I'm more tired than I expected, and I do enjoy sleeping in my own room. I know this hasn't been as productive as you wanted Noelle, but I am glad that you have finally accepted your feelings for Asta, regardless of what my own may or may not be."

"We needed this chat, even if I am not fully satisfied with the outcome." Noelle said feeling tired herself. "Thank you for it and I will leave you now so that you can go to sleep. I will still be jealous though and don't expect me to change on that front now that I know that I love him."

"I wouldn't expect any less from you." Nero said as Noelle turned to leave but the horned girl added one more thing as Noelle put her hand on the doorknob that stilled her hand. "But know this Noelle, should I determine that I do have romantic feelings for Asta, I won't make the same mistake as I did last time. I will tell him how I feel. I may not know yet, but you should consider me a rival from now on. You have a window to act while I am unsure of my own feelings, don't waste it."

"I understand Nero and I accept your challenge." Noelle said turning and locking gazes with the girl from another time period. "And I promise you, I will win. I am royalty after all, and we know how to get what we want."

With a flick of one of her pigtails, Noelle opened the door, smirked at Nero who was still expressionless, and left the room. She had put on a front at the end for Nero's sake but as she walked back to her room she was shaking as the adrenaline left her system.

Her confrontation with Nero hadn't been as productive as she'd hoped but she would heed her friend's advice, she would consider the girl a rival. While Noelle was still a fair bit away from telling Asta the truth, she was ready to tell her rivals and let them know who was going to win in their war for Asta's heart.

With that mindset, Noelle returned to her room and went to bed, her talk with Nero had calmed her enough to sleep and she was looking forward to it. After all, dreams were the one place she could truly think about Asta honestly and let all her love for him out as she dreamed about what it would be like to be his.

Well, there it is, Noelle's second conversation and first confrontation with Nero being that person. I went with ambiguity over Nero's feelings for Asta as while it is clear that she is loyal to Asta the way she was to Lumiere, it is not clear that she has developed feelings for him like she clearly did for Lumiere, at least not to me. That is why I went with this being the way Nero saw it as it is my own interpretation and does explain why she's a kuudere. I also know that Nero doesn't talk this much in the anime, except with Lumiere or when she has to, but as this is a serious conversation I felt that she would be more talkative with Noelle, especially after Noelle was honest with her. Anyway, that is all I have for now. I won't reveal who is next up, only that all rival confrontation chapters will use that girl's category in the title, and I do have one for Mimosa that is more accurate than what she is usually seen as but you will have to wait for her chapter to find out what it is.
