Here is the third chapter in Book 5, released on time as promised. This the second chapter in the Omashu arc and is the first main chapter since Book 1 to be set at least within the territory of the Avatar's home city, which I know is a long time but Harry never needed to be in Omashu so it never showed up. Anyway, that is all I have for now though and as there isn't anything to respond to that means that it time to sit back, relax, and enjoy the 4th full installment of Avatar: The Tale of Harry. Book 5: Duty.
Disclaimer: As always I own nothing related to these two great works of fiction.
Chapter 4
"Omashu station!" The train's intercom said as the train slowed to a stop. "Depart here for Omashu and the surrounding area."
Sirius was roused for sleep as the train came to a stop glad that he hadn't fallen asleep too deeply and missed his stop. Regardless, he was here at last. He got up, grabbed his bag and headed for the exit. He had arrived and soon he would be at his father's tomb.
First though, he had to get to the city. Due to the nature of Omashu and the canyon that surrounded it, the station was located a few miles outside of the city, nestled in the heart of the mountains that surrounded the ancient city. As such there were bus and taxi services at the station offering their aid to get people to the edge of the canyon.
Sirius just ignored them. It was a nice day and he decided to walk along the side of the road to stretch his legs. Plenty of people walked to Omashu, it was a thing to do to walk across the entrance bridge and many chose to walk from the station. With his hood up, his travel bag over his shoulder and his calm demeanor, Sirius blended right in with the numerous travelers making their way to the city.
The walk turned out to be needed. It helped clear the cobwebs from his nap on the train and allowed for him to focus on what he had to do when he got to his destination. That was until the great city of Omashu came into view and Sirius had to struggle to avoid gasping at the sight before him. He had seen pictures of the place, but they didn't do it justice.
The second largest city in the ISEK and capital of its State was surrounded by tall walls that could rival Ba Sing Se but were on the edge of the gorge that completely surrounded it. The city itself was built on 4 large hills with the tallest topped with a massive palace that had once been for the King of Omashu but was now the seat of its state government.
Despite there being 3 gates to the city, there was only one stone bridge that had been there for millennia. There was also a larger steel bridge connecting one of the other gates that had been built for vehicular traffic while the third gate had a drawbridge that was currently down. Lastly there was an aircraft hangar had been carved into a nearby mountain that was likely the airport for the city.
There was one thing about the city that Sirius knew had been created within the last 150 years, though when he wasn't certain. On a manmade landmass to the north of the city and in the gorge was the sparkling stadium of the Omashu probending team and Bumi Park, both milling with tourists and locals alike that had been where his great-grandfather, his namesake the late Chief Sirius, and Archabbot Remus had once played. The stadium was the peak of it but there was lot of modernization in this city.
The one thing that hadn't been modified, and what Sirius saw clearer as he approached the city, was the mailing system. It was famous worldwide and the only such system to be classified as an international heritage site by Avatar Aang and had kept its status ever since. The slides that crisscrossed the city were still there and they were still controlled with earthbending and gravity. It was something the city would never get rid of, and Sirius agreed, it was one of the famous things that Omashu was known for and that should never be changed.
As Sirius approached however, he veered off from the other walkers and headed to the edge of the gorge though no one questioned his decision as there were others not walking on the road. It didn't take Sirius long to find and join a special walking path that surrounded it, admiring the city from this angle but allowing the somber reason for his visit to wash over him. The path would take him to where he needed to go.
It was located on the other side of the city from the great gate and bridge, on the side that had the drawbridge, and required a good 2 hours of walking to get to it. By the time Sirius reached it he was covered in dust and looked like the traveler he was, which was good as that would avoid raising any questions as to why he was here.
Where he was was an earth elevator operated by a few earthbenders who lived in a small house near it not too far from this side of the drawbridge. It was the official elevator down to the floor of the gorge and thus the entrance to the Tombs of Omashu.
"I would like a ride down to the Tombs." Sirius said to the earthbender on duty, glad to see the elevator was up so he didn't have to wait. "If they are still open that is."
"Sure, access is never cut off unless there's an emergency or special funeral." The bender said as Sirius approached. "That is what I am here for. Step on and we will go down."
"Thanks." Sirius said as he stepped onto what looked like a normal slab of earth next to the bender.
That changed when the earthbender thrust his arms down and the platform began to slowly descend to the bottom of the gorge. That was when Sirius realized that they were on a ledge that jutted over and into the gorge and were sliding down the face of the cliff at a steady pace. The bender had his hands pressing down but it didn't look like much of a strain for him.
"Impressive bending." Sirius complemented as they travelled, breaking the silence. "To slide down the cliff like this at a steady speed."
"Yeah takes a lot of practice and few want this task, so we get plenty of it." The bender replied. "But I figured it was a decent job for a decent wage and provides a needed service. I consider it an honor to take people to see their loved ones from times past."
"That is good to hear that you have a good view on this." Sirius said with a nod, he couldn't disagree with the earthbender's statement at all. "Few might find this morbid."
"True but it is better than a graves keeper or something like that." The bender said and Sirius nodded to that. "That I don't think I could do."
"Few can." Sirius said.
"So, who are you here to see?" The bender asked as they continued down to continue the conversation. "I may not take many people down, but I know I have never seen you here before. Well, that plus your clothes and accent show that you aren't from around here."
"Good ear, I've never been here before." Sirius responded as they hit the shadows where the sun barely shone into the gorge. "But my family is from here originally and still honors the tradition of entombing those who have passed on in the Tombs. I figured I may as well make the trip at least once, to pay my respects to my ancestors."
"An honorable thing to do." The bender replied. "Many of the families are spread out these days, few come back to pay their respects and even fewer keep the old traditions of burying their dead here."
"Foolish things to do." Sirius said. "We should honor those who came before us, at least for being the reason we are here ourselves, and having a family plot like the Tombs is something that shouldn't be abandoned."
"Astute." The bender said. "Never thought of it like that. So, if you don't mind me asking, who is your family? I know the Tombs well; we all walk around and can help you find the right Tomb."
"Thank you but I do mind." Sirius said as he looked at the wall of rock that the city stood upon. "This is a personal quest for me, and I must do it without assistance in order to do it right."
"I see." The bender said with a little suspicion in his voice that Sirius didn't pick up on as he was too busy looking up at the rock in front of him. "Well would you at least let me recommend a place to go to tonight as I assume you are staying in the city for a few days."
"I am, I want to see Omashu while I am here as it may be my only chance, but I must do this first." Sirius said. "This is the most important thing, so I want to get it right. Just recommend a cheap but decent tavern or inn, that will do for me. I am also ok camping out, neither bothers me."
"Well, I recommend the Bender's Rest, best ale in town and it is right by the wall at the base of the city and near the drawbridge so cheap and less busy as well." The bender said helpfully. "Few stay the night there so there should be a bed."
"Thank you, I will check it out." Sirius said as they reached the ground and Sirius looked around. "I don't know the city at all so any help is appreciated."
The bottom of the gorge was dim as little sun got down here. It was also cool, and the air was stale from lack of circulation at this depth. It was the perfect place for the Tombs. Right by the elevator was another smaller hut carved out of rock and into the side of the earth the city wasn't on that Sirius assumed was for the bender to rest in and relay messages to the other place atop the cliff face.
"I'll be in there resting and waiting to hear if I have to go up again for another person." The bender said pointing to the hut. "When you are done come and find me so that I can take you back up. I understand the solemnness of the Tombs so take all the time you need down here and if I'm not around there's someone in the hut on duty who can radio up. However, you are the only visitor today I believe."
"Thank you." Sirius said as he flipped the man a 1-yuan coin for his help. "I can take it from here."
Sirius didn't wait for a response. He just got off the elevator and set off walking in the gorge in the direction of the nearest tomb. He was finally here, now all he had to do was find the right tomb.
It didn't take as long as Sirius was expecting. The tombs were all set into the canyon wall that wasn't supporting the city and extended into darkness from open stone doorways. Above each tomb was the name of the family that it belonged too. With few using surnames it was a little hard but finding his family's Tomb was easy given who was in his family.
The carving with the name of the first of the family to be buried there was clear, some dude called Ignatius the Sensible that Sirius had never heard of, but it was what was under it that confirmed it. 'Family of Avatar Harry' was carved under it to show that it was the line of an Avatar. That was the confirmation that he needed to know that he was at the right tomb.
It was as Sirius approached the entrance that he noticed a new detail he hadn't until he was up close. Carved around the doorway, in what was likely order of death, were the names of all those who were buried in this particular tomb. It was mostly direct descendants of Ignatius but there were also spouses who had married into the family as well.
Sirius confirmed that when he saw his great-grandmother's name near the end. It was where he was looking and what he was seeking, the last 4 names in order were Albus, James I, Lily I, James II to show that Albus had predeceased his grandparents. The lines next to three of the names told Sirius that they were the first or second of that name buried, there were a few others like that on the tomb and some had more than 2 lines. It was the last bit of proof he needed to proceed.
Raising a hand, Sirius ran his fingers over his father's name as it looked so innocent here, no one would suspect that the name James II referred to the man who called himself the Princeps and brought the world to its knees almost 20 years ago. However, that confirmed to Sirius that he had arrived.
Looking forward and into the long hallway dimly lit by green crystals, James walked into his family's tomb. He did not notice the special, modern, sensors hidden in the darkness by the door, tripping them as he entered.
The hallway was long, but it was what Sirius had expected coming here. The family had been based, or at least had had one of the family as a citizen of, Omashu for over a thousand years. It was not the oldest family by far but old enough to be on the ground of the canyon and have a deep Tomb that stretched into the earth for a good distance.
At least the tomb was sensibly laid out. It was just a straight line with the old stone caskets set into the wall on either side with one set between knees and hip and the other above it so that you could see the higher casket as you passed them.
It was also laid out in order of death with the names. The early ones were based on the old calendar that counted using the number of days of the Avatar at the time's life. That ended after defeat of Firelord Sozin during Aang's life. After that, the dates were based on the number of years of the Air Nomad Genocide, referred simply as AG, starting at 100 AG. Sirius was so preoccupied with noticing the change that he almost missed the fact that a little about the person carved into stone beneath their caskets along with the dates of their birth and death.
It could easily be erased but Sirius expected there to be records to replace them given how bureaucratic the ISEK still was and besides, it would be disrespectful too and likely carried a long prison sentence to deter vandalism. That was why Sirius ignored them as he continued to the end of the long hallway. It was only when he reached the last 4 alcoves before a blank stretch of hallway for future alcoves that he finally paused.
Out of respect, he started with his great-grandparents. For obvious reasons, these caskets were out of order as Albus had died before them but clearly the Avatar had wanted his parents one above each other and as the head of the family he could dictate how they were displayed. Ignoring the clearly different casket, Sirius looked at the two carvings for the parents of the current Avatar.
James, Father of Avatar Harry, b. 198 AG d. 284 AG. Killed in battle during the Second Siege of the North. Former Imperial Senator and Governor of Omashu, Probending Hall of Fame, Kyoshi Medal of Freedom, Order of Korra 2nd class, Northern Star (posthumously).
Lily, Mother of Avatar Harry, b. 198 AG d. 284 AG. Killed in battle during the Second Siege of the North. Scholar, Teacher, Warrior, Kyoshi Medal of Freedom, Order of Korra 2nd class, Northern Star (posthumously).
Their inscriptions were what Sirius had expected. He knew their story well, they were well documented and while he was banned from actually learning about them growing up as the stories told of their views that were in contradiction to the Principate, Sirius had still found out while he was at the Elemental Academy. When you make something taboo, naturally you want to learn more about it.
James and Lily had met at the Elemental Academy, fallen in love there, and fought against Voldemort in the First Purity War as members of a group called the Order of the Phoenix. However, because Lily was 8 months pregnant at the time, so she had been in Omashu when Voldemort and Korra had their fateful battle but according to the reports James had served in it.
One month later, on the day Korra died, Harry had been born but the connection was not made because the official date of Korra's death was not announced until after Harry was discovered as a way of avoiding false claims to the Avatarhood. That and from Sirius understood Korra's death had not been announced for a few days for some reason.
After Korra's death and Voldemort's first defeat, James, continued his career as a probender before he retired and went on to have a long career in politics eventually becoming an Imperial Senator and later Governor of Omashu. Lily was a teacher and scholar at the Omashu Institute of Higher Learning as well as a combat instructor to the Omashu National Guard.
That had basically been their life with one major interruption. They had fought again in the Second Purity War and had fought with distinction in the Battle of the Elemental Academy with both of them killing a Death Eater each, James killing Rowle and Lily killing Travers while they defended the Earth House. After that battle they had both faded from most records other than James's political ones as they settled into a quiet life.
That was until the Principate War. Chief Sirius was James's best friend and the best man at their wedding, just as James was at Sirius's. As such they always went to the Northern Water Tribe for the Summer Solstice and the Southern Water Tribe for the Winter Solstice as their grandkids were tied to the South through their daughter-in-law.
It was because of this that they were not targeted when Omashu fell during the Global Coup and why they were in the only free nation during the war. It was also why, despite being in their 80s and earthbenders, they both volunteered to join Prince Ron and Crown Prince Altinak in defending the Northern Palace during the Second Siege that decided the war.
As the story went, the commandos of the Princeps had reached the Palace and attacked it, even breaking into the main hall and detaching a unit to find Chief Sirius and his wife. The attack had knocked Alnitak off his feet and made him vulnerable. Given his status, he was a priority target and as he had no children at the time, he was the only heir to the Northern Throne, so he was attacked at once.
However, at the last minute, James had placed himself between Alnitak and the attacker, taking the lightning aimed at the Crown Prince himself. James had been killed instantly but his sacrifice hadn't been in vain as Altinak had recovered and led a counter attack that killed or captured all the commandos and turned the tide of the battle in the Capital.
Lily, however, had not been present as she had been chasing the small contingent of commandos that had been dispatched to find and kill Sirius and his wife Daphne. They hadn't found Sirius, but they had found Daphne near the hospital area. They had attacked her and the other healers and patients. While Daphne was a decent fighter she stood no chance against the commandos.
That was until Lily, Ginny, Victoire and a handful of other people in the Palace showed up behind the commandos. They attacked the commandos using surprise and the fact that most were waterbenders to win. The end result was that Daphne was still alive but as with her husband, Lily had put herself in harm's way for Daphne and been cut down in the process.
Her injuries had been so severe that she had died before Ginny could help. The result was Ginny going full berserk and reminding everyone that she was also a Southern Warrior as she joined the main battle and helped her brother and Altinak in repelling the invaders.
They had been valiant warriors but in the end they had died in their final battle fighting for what they believed in and protecting friends until the very end. Sirius held nothing against them for fighting his father or for what they had done to the Principate. He respected them for their skills and was glad that they had lived a full life. However, they were the easy ones to look at.
Sirius was now crouched as Lily's casket had been the lower one, so he was at the right level. He then pivoted and looked at the casket of his uncle. Sirius knew that it was empty, that the casket and alcove was purely symbolic, as Albus's body had been vaporized so it wasn't recovered but it was still there and there was a lot that it symbolized.
The most notable was that Albus had died fighting his father, he had died to save his friends and to destroy a weapon of mass destruction that his father's insanity had created to ensure victory over the Avatar. Albus deserved as much respect as anyone and Sirius would give him that, looking over his carving. No one should die by their brother's hand.
Albus, second son of Avatar Harry, b. 252 AG d. 283 AG. Sacrificed himself destroying the Princeps's Spirit Weapon. Water Mystic, Healer, Kyoshi Medal of Freedom (posthumously), Order of Korra 2nd class (posthumously).
With his respects paid to his uncle, there wasn't much more that Sirius could do to avoid what he had come for. Therefore, he stood and looked at the special alcove that housed the casket he knew that his father was buried in.
It was a pure platinum casket to avoid bending it. The walls of the alcove had been coated with platinum as well and a small buzz told Sirius that they were electrified. The front of the alcove was covered in a thick sheet of what he assumed was ultra-pure glass, so pure that not even Pocklington could have bent it. Underneath it there was a small, simple carving.
James, first son of Avatar Harry, b. 250 AG, d. 284 AG.
That was all it said. Just his name, connection to the family line, and years of birth and death. Nothing about where or how he had died, nothing about his life before his crimes, nothing about his many accomplishments that had been stripped from him when he had committed mass murder, and nothing about him being Princeps. Only those who knew that James had been Harry's first son would know the truth of who was buried here.
It was designed not to draw attention to it or mention what his father had become, and Sirius liked that. It was all part of the process to try and avoid people finding out this was where his father was, but it was also about who he had been before he went down the path of evil. It allowed him to truly rest in peace after the Avatar killed him in battle and ended the imbalance James had created.
"Hello father, long time no see." Sirius whispered as he gently put his hand on the glass as he put his bag on the ground glad that the glass wasn't electrified. "I have been meaning to do this for a while now, but, well, a few things have prevented it. I just want to let you know that I have become a fine young man and bender who could rival even you, at least I think so as I never saw how strong you were, but I know the reports of your bending prowess."
Sirius paused to take a breath. He had to compose himself for what he was about to say but he knew that once he said it a huge weight would be lifted from his chest as this was his moment of closure, the moment he truly put his parents' and their views behind him.
"I also want to let you know that I am not like you" Sirius said when he was ready. "I do not support your views, nor do I believe in the Principate or what it stood for. You and mom died before I could be fully indoctrinated and your lackies who raised me failed to finish the job. I will be better than you, and I will redeem our line, I can promise that. However, I forgive you for all that you have done and all the suffering that you have caused. All I can hope for now is that you are finally found peace from the turmoil inside you that sent you down this dark path."
Sirius had been so engrossed in his father's tomb that he had not retracted his boots and had not been keeping aware of his surroundings with his seismic sense ability, a rookie error he shouldn't have made. That was made clear by the sudden voice that startled him out of his thoughts and had him cursing at his lack of awareness. He shouldn't have let his guard down, especially here of all places while he was looking at his father's tomb.
"Who the fuck are you and why the fuck are you looking at that alcove in particular?"
Sirius turned to look at the speaker. The light was dim from the glow crystals, but he could just about make her out. The speaker was a lithe woman about half a foot shorter than he was but clearly in shape. Her hair was light red, almost strawberry blonde, and there were the beginnings of crow's feet on her brown eyes, so Sirius put her somewhere in her late 40s or early 50s at a glance.
She wore tight green clothes designed for flexible movement showing that she was skilled in a fluid fighting style. Her boots and greaves were leather, however, not metal, an oddity these days as most benders favored platinum armor unless they were on a ship. She also had a pair of hunting knives at her hips. All of that taken together meant only one thing, she had to be his aunt Lily, the Avatar's only living child, but why Republic City's Chief of Police was here was a mystery to him.
"I said, who the fuck are you and why are you looking at that alcove." Lily repeated irritated. "Don't deny it. I know who is buried there."
"It's not what it seems." Sirius said stumbling a little, he had no idea what it seemed like, and he didn't know what to say but was going to try and talk his way out of this if possible. "I swear it."
"Really then enlighten me, what is it?" Lily asked venomously. "Cos you are standing there with your hand on the glass which to me means one of two things; either you are here to desecrate that tomb, or you are here to jack off over it because you're one of the few people left who believe in the Principate. Neither is good in my book but at least I can understand the former given what my brother did to many people with his actions in life."
"Neither." Sirius said hurriedly raising his hands in a non-threatening gesture. "I am just a traveler her to see a little of recent history, that's all. I have no love for the Principate or what it stood for, I oppose its views in fact, and I would never desecrate the dead. Whatever people did in life means nothing in death."
"That bullshit may fly with most but not him." Lily spat. "He may have been my brother but what that monster did is unforgivable. I understand why it is here and respect my father's decision to bury him with the family, but I do not have to like that."
"Brother?" Sirius asked as his suspicions were confirmed at the second mention of the familial relationship between the woman and the tomb he was looking at. "You're Chief Lily? What is the RCPD Chief doing here."
"Astute of you but it is hardly a surprise you know who I am." Lily said dismissively. "As for why, well my family is from here, I tend to come home from time to time or visit Omashu on a lead that requires my personal attention. Lucky for you, I just so happened to be here when the sensor was tripped. I called the duty office for the Tombs, and they said an odd traveler had arrived, so I came personally to investigate as this is my family's tomb. That is when I saw a hooded figure with his hand on the glass so yeah my suspicions are raised."
"Well, I mean no harm and now that I have seen what I came for, I can leave in peace." Sirius said as he backed away from his father's resting place to stand in the center of the hallway hoping that Lily would let him leave without stopping him. "If you don't mind, I can head out and get the next train away from Omashu and never visit this city again."
"Unfortunately, I do mind." Lily said shaking her head and taking a battle stance. "You see that alcove is protected by more than just what you can see. There are special laws regarding it, and anyone not approved to be here has to come in and answer a few questions regarding why they wanted to visit that tomb in particular. You aren't under arrest, but I recommend you don't resist."
"I am not going to answer why I am here." Sirius said simply for obvious reasons. "You wouldn't understand or believe me anyway. I just want to go; I do not want a fight, that's all. Trust me, I know your skills and I can tell you that I am a match for you. Just let me leave and we can forget this ever happened."
"Ah I see, threatening me." Lily said with a quirk of her lips. "The hard way then, just how I like it."
Sirius sighed as he prepared himself to fight. He had hoped it wouldn't come to this but apparently it was going to, and he was going to have to defend himself from his aunt. It would at least be a true test; Lily was a skilled earthbender.
That skill was showing a second later as a large rock was hurled at him down the center of the corridor. Sirius hadn't even seen it coming until he felt the wind from it, but it wasn't fast enough for him. With a slash of his right arm, Sirius extended the platinum blade concealed in his gauntlet and cut clean through the rock diagonally in the same move. He made sure that the halves didn't hit any caskets and fell behind him with his bending.
Lily was clearly shocked that her surprise attack had failed, but she recovered quickly and attacked again. The fight was on, and Sirius fell into the zone of combat.
He took a running stance and pushed off the earth, his bending adding speed as he approached Lily. Lily for her part had already sent another rock at him, larger this time. It was no match for Sirius as he extended the blade in his left gauntlet as well and cut through the rock in an X pattern, emerging from the dust unscathed and still hurtling through the air at Lily.
Lily looked shocked for the first time and backup a few paces. Sirius had no intention of killing her, she was the first family he had seen in almost 20 years, and he knew that she wasn't like his father in that regard. Instead, he retracted the blades and slammed his fist into the earth right where Lily had been standing. He sent a controlled, directed, wave of earth rolling down the corridor at Lily without any of the earth hitting the walls of the tomb.
Lily showed that she still had her agility as she backflipped and tucked away from the attack but that was what Sirius had been expecting. Predicting where she would land, Sirius raised his hand, still crouched on the ground, and yanked the earth backwards as Lily landed. The move worked as Lily fell onto her ass as soon as the earth was taken from under her feet before she could set her stance.
Sirius didn't hesitate. He sped out of his crouch using his bending and then, as Lily was recovering and sending rocks at him leapt in the air and over the attack. He kept his body straight and spun as he sent the rocks away, carving into the celling with his feet so that he could maintain his position.
Sirius landed right behind Lily, facing her back as she had stood up while he was spinning. Before she could react, Sirius had closed the distance, put his arms under hers and extended his blades so that they were on either side of her neck but just not touching the exposed skin. They may not be touching her, but he had the clear advantage now and Lily was locked in place.
"I didn't want this to happen." Sirius said quietly. "But you left me no choice. Please, just yield so that I can leave in peace."
"You're good, I'll give you that." Lily snarled. "Best challenge I have had in a long time, but you have never met a bender like me."
Sirius smirked at that; he knew exactly what she meant. He had assumed that she wouldn't use her full abilities in the tomb, but he had pushed her to that point. Good. He liked pushing people to show their full skill. Of course, he was ready for this and wasn't going to let Lily lavabend.
In a flash he retracted his blades, withdrew his arms, and kneed his aunt in the small of her back, using his height to his advantage to land the hit. Lily had not been expecting that and any concertation she had was broken. In that moment, Sirius stuck.
Clenching his fists as he had been taught, he punched Lily in her chi points that her special leather armor didn't protect, a sacrifice to allow her to use her fluid style of fighting. He had been trained in chi blocking and used it regularly before he used his bending while working to incapacitate people before things escalated so he was well practiced in it.
It helped that as a lavabender and not metalbender, Lily didn't wear the usual metal armor that could prevent chi blocking. He made sure to hit all the points and had to flip around Lily to get the last of them.
A second later Lily was crumpled and gasping on the floor and Sirius had taken a step back from her. He was breathing hard and sweating a little showing that he'd had been pushed in this fight but otherwise fine. Lily had given him a challenge and he wanted to spar with her properly on day where they could go all at it, but they couldn't down here.
"Fuck." Lily spat as she tried and failed to bend, looking daggers up at Sirius as he stood over her. "It's been a long time since I was beaten like that, and I have never been chi blocked before, it sucks. Last time I was beaten in a duel it was by the Princeps. So, I repeat, who the fuck are you."
"Interesting that you should mention who last beat you." Sirius said as he raised his hand and lowered his hood. "Auntie."
Ah a nice cliffhanger to leave things off on, I can never resist a good one of these for y'all to enjoy. There really isn't much else to say here as this was a simple straightforward chapter with a little action at the end but in the family tomb Lily couldn't unleash her full power so it wasn't an even fight. For those curious, the Avatar calendar system was mentioned in the Kyoshi books, but the BG/AG system was used before it outside of the show and comics, so I decided to go with both and make the latter one the current one as it is easier to understand. However, that is all I have for now so I will leave it here. As always any questions in PMs or reviews will be answered before the start of the next chapter (as well as replied to if possible). Please follow, favorite and review, all are greatly appreciated. Until next week.
