Chapter 69: Let The Monster Rise!

*Supreme Girl's POV*

After weeks upon weeks of tests, failures and stress I finally found a cure for the Morpholomew DNA change. I had found temporary cures and then a permanent reverse for Henrick. I was happy that I could finally cure Aria Andrews. Besides seeing Smarty, I also get the chance to see Cutie again. Archie Andrews, the red headed cutie that made my heart beat fast. Perhaps Olga could finally get a date with him… No! Business first! I remembered she had the little communicator and decided to contact her.

"Supreme Girl to Aria, are you there?" I asked her. After a minute I repeated myself. Nothing. I did it one more time a bit louder.

"Aria to SG… It's 2 in the morning, is something wrong?" I heard her ask me in a groggy voice. Darn, I forgot the time zone differences.

"Sorry, but I have some good news." I tell her.

"Good… News..." I heard her sleepily ask.

"I found a cure." I tell her.

"Cure… Cure for what?" I heard with a squeaky yawn.

"Come on Smarty, what do you think?" I asked her.

"Sorry, I'm just not well..." She tells me.

"I found a cure for the Morpholomew DNA. I'm heading to Riverdale in a few hours in your time." I tell her.

"I… Can't..." I heard before soft snoring followed by nothing.

That girl really must not be well… I prepared the cure and made my way to teleport to Riverdale's dimension. The only problem? The dimensional jump was slightly glitchy, so I wouldn't technically arrive until 2pm. Yes, a 12 hour jump instead of a 12 second jump. I had yet to fix it after my last portal jump. Dr. Arachnid had snuck into my lab and damaged it just as I had returned. He ran when he saw the Morpholomew. Hopefully, nothing goes wrong.

*Later in the morning Aria's POV*

It was 7 am and my alarm had woken me up. I wasn't feeling well and I had no idea why. This was Monday, a weeks after the boy toys, Mid November actually, and I haven't been well the past 5 days, including today. Don't worry, nothing too interesting happened in those 3 weeks. If it did, I'd have told you already. Anyways, I had to get to school, though. I got up and but felt the acid in my stomach bubble. I ran downstairs, past my father, right into the bathroom and began puking. Dad rushed in and held my hair while rubbing my back.

"You're burning up badly, I'll call the school and see if I can get a doctor down here." I heard dad tell me.

"I gotta go to school..." I say as I felt dizzy. Dad picked me up and carried me back to bed. I had no strength to fight him. It was weird, the Morpholomew DNA would keep me healthy and heal quickly, but now I'm sicker than a pack of dogs that ate chocolate covered bacon with extra salt.

"You're staying home and that's that." He tells me before tucking me back in bed.

*Why am I like this? I was fine until Vinnie showed up...* I thought as I remembered the day before I got sick.

*Flashback*

I had to go from cheerleading practice right to work, not able to change, so I worked in my cheer uniform. Well, a lot of the boys from school complimented me non-stop, nothing too bad, and Jughead couldn't even concentrate eating burgers just to watch me. I actually had to stop him from eating a napkin. All was fine until I was heading to my car. I had no where to park so I had to park down the street and around the corner. Well, my fault for going alone because I was grabbed and my back hit the wall. I was now face to face with Vinnie Wells. Yet again, the punk has started his crap with me.

"Will you just get the hint and leave me alone!" I scold him harshly.

"Aw, come on babe. We've been getting on better terms, so that shows you want a change." He tells me with a sleazy smirk. I had a nasty shiver trace my spine.

"I'm only nice to you for your grandmother's sake, not really yours. If you keep this up, you'll be dead before her." I warned him. I heard rumors he started doing drugs but I'm not sure if they're true because where would they come from?

"Don't lie, I mean, you're flaunting around in that cheer uniform to catch my attention. Believe me, you've caught it." He tells me. I felt greasy from the way he said it.

"Why do you disgust me more than usual." I asked rhetorically as I lightly pushed him away from me.

"You like me, don't keep hiding it, it'll make this easier." He tells me as he grabbed my chin. I blinked and Vinnie let me go, eyes widened, before I let out a growl.

"You need to leave me alone. Now!" I say in a dark tone. Vinnie freaked and ran off.

I didn't understand why until I got in my car, saw my rear view mirror and gasped. My eyes had turned yellow with slits. I raised my hand and gasped as I saw claws, long black and sharp, growing out and felt my teeth getting sharp. I rushed home and quickly, glad dad wasn't home at that point. I had been in my room and began meditating and trying to calm myself down for an hour before my dad came home and checked on me. I told him I wasn't feeling good but would eat dinner with him. All was fine until 1 am. I had started burning up and began vomiting. Dad had let me stay home and gave me meds to help me feel better, but it only helped me sleep. I would go from bad to getting better to awful in a merry-go-round type of feeling.

*End Flashback*

Maybe the Morpholomew DNA was making me sick? I wasn't sure, but I didn't think to tell Supreme Girl about this. I remembered she said she had a cure and I prayed it wasn't a fever induced dream. Dad came in with a worried look.

"I still have to go to work, but Mary will be over to help take care of you." Dad said as he tucked me in.

"Ok, I'm sorry." I say as I felt sleepy.

"Don't be sorry for being sick." He tells me as he kissed my forehead. I don't know if he said anything after or not because I blacked out after that.

*Mary's POV*

Dave called me, letting me know Aria was sick and asked if I could come over to check on her. I told him I would. Archie dropped me off before going off to school. I knocked on the door with a smile filled with relief but eyes filled with worry.

"Thanks for coming out here, Mary. Aria's in bed right now, but she feels like she's running a fever." Dave tells me.

"Didn't you take her temperature?" I asked him.

"No, was I supposed to?" Dave asked me. I sighed at this.

"Seriously? You need to do these things, being a single father now." I told him as I decided not to argue on this. I know he's still learning, but still.

"I'm sorry, Mary, but I have to get to work." He tells me before he hurries into his car. I went inside, went to the bathroom to get the thermometer and hurried up to Aria's room. Sure enough, she was sound asleep but looked pale with red cheeks.

I lifted her head and took her temperature as she slept through it. Poor girl, her cheeks were so red you couldn't see her freckles at all. I pulled out the thermometer and gasped before rushing to a phone. Her temperature was at 107 degrees Fahrenheit and possibly rising! I know, thankfully, that 109.4 is the limit and knew this was very bad. I made the call for an ambulance before getting an ice pack from the freezer to put on her head. She began shaking violently, a seizure of sorts, as I tried very hard not to panic. This was hard to due because, even though I'm a mother, I've never in my life had to deal with this. All I could do was wait for the ambulance and pray.

*Luxord's POV*

I was looking through the paperwork of the town, nothing too interesting, if anything weird happens, those young kids solve the problem. The leaders are Archie and Aria Andrews. Those two… They have caused me some problems for a while now. Between the love bug experiment, the escaped Morpholomew and the robot teens, they tend to alter my plans more-so than expected. I also know, thanks to medical records I have obtained, that Aria Andrews had, indeed, gained the Morpholomew DNA. While it is both unfortunate and unplanned, but better since the medical records shows her rapid healing and, with a sample of hair I had gotten, it shows the DNA is progressing and multiplying though in an odd way. This would be useful for further experiments and, maybe, she will morph. As I was looking through all reports on this town and her medical records again, one of my employees burst through the door.

"Sorry sir, but we just got word that the Andrews girl is getting an ambulance. We had intercepted the call and let them know it'll be there. We're preparing the vehicle now." He tells me. I perked up and smiled.

"Good. Hurry up and, if anyone goes with her, you know what to do." I ordered. He nodded and hurried out. I looked back at the medical records and chuckled.

"I knew something would happen." I say with a chuckle. I had found out her address and had my men go in and tapped her phone lines. I wish we had put cameras and microphones in, but I knew she'd be smart enough to find them. I had seen a police report too about how they searched her place, since my dumb workers left the door slightly open in a rush, but grateful none thought to check the phone lines. No one ever really checks those.

"Let's see what we'll be working with, Miss Andrews." I said quietly as I put everything back into a folder with her name on it and a picture of her inside.

*Mary's POV*

I was now trying to bundle Aria up, feeling her temperature had dropped drastically now, as she shivered and sweat at the same time. I heard a knock and went to the door, but saw a van and a man in a lab coat. I couldn't react as a cloth with an odd smell to it filled my nose and made me black out.

*Dick's POV*

I had one of the men knock the woman out before rushing in to get the girl. Aria Andrews. Boss told us to look into any calls, mainly to emergency, to see if anything would happen. Getting that call for life threatening fever was a sign and I had let the boss know. I knew she had that monster DNA in her, but it shocked me when my coworker, a strong looking man, came out with a teenage girl. I was a bit shocked, hearing the boss curse her and her cousin for foiling ideas, but never thought she, and him as well, were mere high schoolers. Oh well. We loaded her in the van and got to driving. She went from freezing to fever as soon as we started driving. We had a few supplies to keep her sedated but she woke up.

"Where, what, huh?" She muttered out as her eyes were barely open.

"It's ok, we're bringing you to the lab." I tell her as I got a needle ready. This serum was a special tranquilizer that will knock her out but not kill her. Her metabolism is strong right now. She saw the needle, a van full of strangers and, rightfully so, began to struggle the best she could. My strong looking coworker, George, was now holding her tightly.

"Miss Andrews, please calm down, were-" I started to say but was cut off by a scream. What I saw shocked me.

This teenage girl bit George's arm, left one on the upper area, with razor sharp teeth! She had grown shark teeth in an instant before biting him. What made this worse? Her eyes immediately turned gold with slits, black claws replaced her nails and she ripped his flesh off his arm with a wicked smile on her face before spitting it out. George let her go but she lunged at him, her claws sunk into his flesh, before her tongue slipped out of her mouth.

This is what surprised me. Her tongue turned into a snake. A snake! This wasn't supposed to happen! None of the files said that would happen! The snake then showed fangs, revealing itself as a venomous viper, before biting the guy's neck. His screams soon stopped as his body went limp. I tried to inject the tranquilizer in her but she flung me backwards. I felt a rib break as I had dented the side of the van from the sheer force. I then heard the driver scream, tires screech and then a crash sound as I was jerked onto George.

My eyes widened as I saw George's wide eyes. Fear struck them, dilated as well, as he looked dead if not for the small breaths he gave. I saw the bite on his neck. It was bad. I went to reach for something, anything, but froze when I heard a growl. I felt my blood run cold as she placed her clawed hand on my head. I was either going to die or be spared. I played dead in hopes it would work, feeling her sniff my face and neck, before letting me go. I heard the back of the van, where the doors are, be ripped open before silence. I opened my eyes and saw nothing. She was gone. I got up and checked on the driver but froze. Our driver's body was slumped over. Poor guy. He was in the same state but with some cuts from the windshield shattering all over him. I didn't have much time to figure out the venom as I made my way outside of the van. I pulled out my cell and called the boss.

"Did you get her?" I heard him ask.

"She turned and attacked us. She's escaped. George and Bill are paralyzed. Her tongue turned into a viper." I tell him as I paced a small bit. This was a bad move.

"Is she fully turned?" He asked me.

"No but-" I started saying but then heard the sickening growl of a predator. I turned and there she was, skin turning purple, hair with black streaks, wearing black and purple pajama pants and spaghetti top with no shoes, feet curled and becoming bat like, grinning at me with hungry eyes, saliva dripping from her mouth. I knew I couldn't get out of this. This was only a few seconds of staring before she lunged.

*Third POV*

Aria had lunged at Dick like the raptors in Jurassic Park 2, while he screamed, before she landed on him, her mouth over his upper face and head before he even hit the ground, as a crunch was heard. This was the phone breaking. Dick was no longer screaming, Paralyzed by the venom of her viper tongue, smiling as he went quiet before looking up. She sniffed the air and growled in delight before rushing off. A new prey for her. The phone, before being crushed, had been on and Professor Luxord, who Dick was talking to, had heard all of this. He tan face paled as he realized what he heard. He hung up and pressed a button on his desk. This caused a red light and an alarm sound to trigger as he pulled up a cord phone that lead to the speakers.

"This is not a drill! The infected girl has gone rouge! Prepare for a town lock down! Take her down without killing her! I need her alive!" He ordered to his workers. Everyone got into position. Those going out on the field were decked up in armor, think of police or military gear, while loading into vans and such. A few scientists, one per van, were there with medical beds, tranquilizer guns, nets and the works while other scientists stayed behind to prep for her arrival. Luxord sat in his chair and groaned.

Now things were complicated for him. Nothing was simple for him. She was morphing, already past the point of safe and was now loose in town. What was worse? He hadn't expected her to have a viper for a tongue. He thought all Morpholomews were alike, but this clearly proved him wrong. Was it because she was female? This, he was not sure. He picked up the phone and made a call to someone he knew. The Mayor of Riverdale. This was going to be interesting. The Mayor picked up and Luxord explained there was a dangerous creature on the loose and how his men were going in to stop it. No one was to interfere, everyone should be inside and he and his people would not be responsible for any damages/injuries/deaths.

The Mayor was not happy but, reluctantly, agreed as Luxord had been paying him well to keep things tucked away. After both men hung up, the mayor called a meeting with the media. In just a few short minutes, the mayor was on TV, radio and anywhere else the media could reach to issue this warning. Of course, the whole town was freaking out and everything was shut down. People being locked inside businesses, jobs, schools and such. This weirdness did not go unnoticed to the red-headed Andrews' boy though.

It was only 10:23 am after all.

The school was in lock down mode, doors locked as well as windows, blinds shut, classes dark as everyone was huddled down. No one knew what the creature was, no one knew how dangerous it was, no one even knew if it was real or not, but Archie had peaked out to see a few vans drive by as well as a a few armored men with guns walking to town. He looked at Reggie, Betty, Veronica and Jughead.

"I think this is real and I smell a weird mystery." Archie said very quietly. Jughead was taking deep breaths to stay calm but his mind was racing. He was worried about his father, who was at work, his mother and baby sister if they couldn't defend themselves, Hot Dog because, well, man's best friend after all. More so, he was worried about his beautiful loving girlfriend, and best friend's cousin, Aria. She's sick at home and, while not alone, could be in danger. He didn't want to panic, but he couldn't help it. Veronica, Reggie and Betty had the same worry with their families, Reggie even more than the girls because of his sweet little niece he adored, while Betty also worried about the children she'd watch. Archie was just as worried about his family, especially his sick cousin his mother is caring for, but he was worried how long this would last as well.

"I'm going to sneak out. I need to get this story!" Archie whispered out.

"Are you nuts! There's a monster out there and you want to get a story?!" Reggie whispered/screamed at him.

"Well, yeah. Why wouldn't I? I've been doing this for 3 years now." Archie casually explained but had a confused, yet amused, look on his face.

"But we have an actual warning, Andrews." Reggie countered back. Reggie had a serious point, but Archie just shrugged and began to figure out a way out. That's when we heard screams, at first ones yelling attack before screams of fear, followed by some shooting sounds, thuds, things being thrown and some growls before silence. Everyone in the room had been silent through this before Archie worked up the courage to peek out. Miss Grundy tried to stop him, but it was too late. Archie paled before he let the blinds go back down.

"Archie?" Betty asked worriedly but Archie didn't move.

"Archie-kins?" Veronica asked worriedly. Archie had seen bodies all over the place. He couldn't tell if they were alive or not, but he sunk down after seeing that.

"They're… Not moving..." Archie muttered out as he was trying to process what he saw. They gasped as Reggie didn't believe him until he looked. He shook and nearly puked as he sunk next to Archie.

"Andrews' is right!" Reggie exclaimed quietly as he and Archie were very pale. Everyone in the room felt scared, a few felt sick, as Jughead nearly fainted in fear. What made this worse? They were on the first floor. Miss Grundy was trying to calm everyone down.

"Perhaps we should move to the upper floors." Miss Grundy suggested before something hit the window. No one moved as it happened again, then again, and then once more which caused a cracking sound. Jughead decided to be brave and peak out but his eyes widened as he say a humanoid figure, unclear due to a glare, toss one of the bodies right at the, now cracked, window.

"Gah!" Jughead yelled before ducking just in time for the body to break through the glass. All the teens shrieked at this and some shrieked more at the sight of the body, paralyzed with fear and two fang marks on his neck, as Miss Grundy made the decision to unlock the door and get everyone to make a run for it. Everyone was scrambling to get out, just as more of the widow began breaking. The creature was breaking in and time was short. As soon as Miss Grundy shut the door, there was a slam against it followed by some growls in anger.

"Run!" Miss Grundy ordered the kids. All the teens ran to find shelter, except Archie and the gang. They refused to leave her alone, yes even Reggie somehow became brave at this point, as they helped her keep the door shut. Whatever was in there, it wanted out as it slammed into the door furiously. What they didn't know was the monster behind that door, intent on paralyzing them, was Aria but not Aria. Aria was in monster mode while her human mind was 'asleep' inside of her, not feeling well and scared from being abducted by strangers. The raging beast slammed into the door again, cracking it and shattering the glass, before backing up and shaking off the pain. She backed up, on all four still, ready to ram when a smoke bomb came in.

She coughed and screeched before jumping out the window she broke to get in. Once outside, her eyes set on two men, she went into attack mode and lunged. The men shot the tranquilizers at her before she landed on one, teeth on his neck, before using the viper to bite him. She was hit with three darts before turning to the other man. Her viper shot out of her mouth, biting the man and injecting the venom in him, before appearing in front of him. She smacked her arm into him, throwing him into the statue, before he slumped over. Monster Aria swayed back and forth, feeling woozy, as more men showed up, guns and nets at the ready, before she decided to bolt. Even a rage filled monster knew when to quit. They tried to capture her, but she injured any in her way, not bothering with the venomous bites, before vanishing into town and ally ways. Back in the school, the gang was glad to know the monster had left, backs across from the door as the smoke was pouring out of the busted door window, while panting.

"Thank you kids. Remind me not to give out homework for a week after this." Miss Grundy said as she was relieved they survived. After all, no matter how troublesome some of her students were, she still cared for each and every one of them. Archie then stood up.

"I need to get a report on this! Maybe I can get an interview right now!" Archie exclaimed as he got ready to get the report.

"Are you nuts, Andrews?! There are people getting hurt and you want an interview?!" Reggie yelled out at Archie.

"I hate to say this, but Reggie's right. It's too dangerous." Veronica agreed.

"But if I don't go out there, they will try to cover this up like the government always do." Archie explained.

"Arch, you didn't see it. That, whatever it was, looked almost human!" Jughead explained.

"Wait, you saw it?!" Archie yelled out in excitement and shock as he grabbed Jughead's arms.

"Kinda. I only saw the shape before it tossed the body through the window. It looked human like." Jughead explained. Archie was shocked but then smiled.

"Then I definitely need to get out there! This story will put me in the papers!" Archie exclaimed before he began dragging Jughead. Jughead just sighed, deciding not to fight, before an idea hit him.

"We should check on your mom and Aria." Jughead suggested.

Archie agreed as they ignored Miss Grundy's calls to come back. While Archie and Jughead were trying to get interviews, the monster part of Aria had faded after ripping the darts out, making her normal, as she swayed through the ally and right in from of Pop Tate's Shop. Pops heard something tap the glass, seeing as how he hid in the back, before deciding to peek out. He gasped at the sight of a pale looking Aria Andrews, covered in cold sweat, unable to stand. Pops called out her name and hurried to unlock the door. There was only him in the shop, but he was able to help her inside. With half opened eyes she looked right up at Pops.

The time was 11:54 am.

*Aria's POV*

I was feeling so sick, I had no idea where I was or even how I got here. I remember talking to dad, then being in a van with strangers and then… Nothing. Absolutely nothing.

"Where am I?" I asked as I tried to focus my vision.

"At the shop. Why are you outside? Are you hurt?" Pops asked me as he sat me down in the booth.

"I'm not hurt, just sick... Why? I something wrong?" I asked before suddenly feeling ill. Pops looked worried before I bolted to the bathroom. I didn't make it but, thankfully, there was a bucket and I pucked in that. What I saw terrified me. I had puked up what looked like bits of snake skin mixed with stomach acid. I knew I hadn't had food before the 'abduction' so this petrified me. Pops saw this and looked sick. I burst into tears.

"What's happening to me?" I sobbed out. Pops, bless his soul, helped me into the back. He seemed scared but found something like a blanket to wrap around me.

"I'm not sure, but we need to hide. There's a monster outside." Pops warned me.

"Monster?" I asked him curiously.

"From what the news has stated, the monster attacked the school and those 'military' type men got attacked. About 12 or so injured badly, most are in paralysis with snake bites, Before that they found a van had crashed, three were found the same way." Pops informed me. Hearing van made me think of the abduction.

"Pops… Where did it crash?" I asked him worriedly.

"Off of Secretary Rd. Why?" Pops replied then asked. My blood went cold. That was close to my house. Very close. I slowly started putting two and two together.

"I… I have to go." I say as I stumbled to get up.

"What? No, you need to stay." Pops tells me as he tries to get me to stay.

"No. I'm putting you in danger." I say as I tried to shake him away from me.

"What do you mean?" Pops asked me as he kept a hold on me. The blanket slipped off as parts of my skin had broke out in purple blotches, except with scales this time. I had seen the skin and heard Pops gasp before I burst into tears.

"I-I'm… The monster." I squeaked out as I felt my nails turn into black claws.

"Please, stay here. We-we'll figure out what's wrong. They might hurt you." Pops tried to reassure me, but my body started shaking as he talked.

"No! I can't!" I yelled before flinging him away from me. I gasped just as he hit the wall, my teeth grew razor sharp as he slumped down, not knocked out but in pain, before I took a step back.

"I… I'm sorry!" I cried out before running out of there. Tears fell as the half end of my hair and the ends of my bangs turned jet black, arms and legs now purple and scaled, feet now bat like as my speed increased. I had hurt Pops, I hurt many people, no one is safe from me. I was turning into a monster. Papa Legba was right. I had to hide and wait, for everyones safety and mine… Supreme Girl, where are you?

The time was 12:05pm.

*Jughead's POV*

We had seen the bodies, alive thankfully but paralyzed, as we had gotten interviews of what had happened. No one really saw much. My mind was racing as I thought back on what the creature looked like. Human like, yes, but the body seemed oddly familiar. Like, I had seen it before. How was that possible? I then jumped with a yelp as I felt a hand on my shoulder.

"You ok, Jughead?" Archie asked me, a look of concern on his face, as he was the one who put a hand on my shoulder. I relaxed, a sigh of relief, before looking at him.

"I guess, but something feels, I dunno… Odd." I explained to him.

"Odd, how?" Archie asked me.

"Like, I've seen that humanoid figure before. It seemed familiar, but I'm not sure how." I explained as we decided to continue to to Aria's house. We were only 3 blocks away, after all.

"How can that be?" Archie asked me curiously.

"I'm not sure." I say to him. Archie looked like he was going to say something, but then gasped before running. I looked and paled as I saw Mrs. Andrews lying on the ground, the front door wide open, as Archie tried to wake her up. I rushed up and helped her sit up, Archie holding her from behind, as her eyes fluttered open.

"Wh-what… Archie? Jughead?" Mrs. Andrews questioned as she held her head.

"Mom, what happened?" Archie asked her.

"I… I was trying to get Aria to the hospital, hoping the ambulance was here, but there were these 2 men and a van, that's all I remember." Mrs. Andrews said. My blood went cold before I bolted inside the house. I frantically searched the house, running upstairs to Aria's room, before bolting back to Archie and Mrs. Andrews.

"Aria's gone!" I panted out in a panic. It clicked with all three of us that Aria was kidnapped. But… Who would kidnap her?

The time was 12:22 pm.

*Third POV*

While Archie and Jughead were helping Mrs. Andrews, even trying to call the police for help to no avail, Reggie, Veronica and Betty were hurrying to the closest place they could, Betty's house, before they saw Pop Tate's.

"We should check on Pops." Betty said with concern. Veronica nodded and agreed, seeing as how she knew Pops always helped and cared for everyone, while Reggie agreed just to get off of the streets. They went to Pops place, happy but worried the door was unlocked, before gasping at Pops. He was slumped against the wall, groaning in pain.

"Pops!" Betty cried out as Reggie ran and helped him up.

"Are you ok? What happened?" Reggie asked Pops as he guided the food place owner to a booth to sit down.

"I-I'm alright. Did you see Aria out there?" Pops asked as he winced in pain. Betty came over and checked the spot in pain by pressing. Pops winced more.

"You might have a fractured rib. What happened? And, no, Aria is home, sick. Isn't she?" Betty explained and then asked worriedly.

"No, she was just here. I was out of it for a while, so maybe 10 minutes went by." Pops said as he groaned. Veronica had rushed to get a first aid kit and came back to hear the last part.

"Wait, Aria's not home?" Reggie asked suddenly. Veronica gave Betty the first aid kit, which Pops only took some alive from it.

"That's not good. We left the school after being attacked." Betty explained.

"You kids need to find her. She's terrified right now." Pops said as he wheezed a bit.

"The monster could get her. One of you should stay here, another should go find Archie and Jughead and I'll go after her." Reggie explained the plan. He wanted to play hero, like usual, but he also felt he owed Aria for all the times he's been cruddy to her and how she tends to help him.

"What about the monster?" Veronica asked worriedly. Yes, Ronnie wasn't ashamed to admit she was scared, they all were.

"You don't need to worry about that, only the military out there." Pops tried to explain.

"Are you kidding?!" Reggie exasperated. He couldn't believe what Pops was saying.

"What do you mean?" Betty asked curiously.

"Aria is the monster. Somethings wrong and she's scared." Pops finally explained as he looked sad.

"Wait, Aria's the monster and she hurt you? Why defend that?" Reggie asked in shock, though it sounded rude.

"She didn't do it on purpose. I tried to get her to stay, be safe, but she just said I would be in danger. She didn't mean it at all. In fact, she didn't know she had hurt all those people. I saw her turning and I think her being scared is making it worse." Pops defended. He knew Aria would never hurt anyone unless it was defense or an accident. Betty, Veronica and especially Reggie all knew this too.

"So, that monster DNA that was injected in her… Is finally turning her?" Reggie finally gulped out. Now, there was more trouble than before. More risks, more danger, more real yet unreal.

"Reggie, you should find Archie and Jughead, we'll stay with Pops and see if we can get medical help for him." Betty suggested. This would be better since Betty has first aid knowledge and Reggie was faster than her and Veronica. Plus, Betty would need Ronnie's help.

"Right. I'll head out now." Reggie said as he started to leave.

"Reggie, be careful. Those tactical men might follow you if they see you." Pops warned him. Pops figured if they found out Aria was the monster, they'd attack her, or worse yet… They know she's the monster and will follow Reggie to find her. It didn't click with Reggie, but he decided to listen to Pops, for once taking some else's advice instead of being the supposed smart guy, giving a nod of acknowledgement before heading out.

As Betty and Veronica were helping Pops, even calling for an ambulance, Reggie was running, ducking in alleyways and trying to hurry to find Archie and Jughead. He figured they'd be at Aria's house and he was right. As Archie and Jughead were leaving, letting Mrs. Andrews rest on the couch, Reggie caught up to them and pulled them into a bush.

"We got a problem." Reggie whispered before peeking out of the bush. He saw a few men in uniforms run by before ducking back in.

"Reggie-" Archie started but Reggie put a finger to his lips to shush him. They waited a few minutes before Reggie started speaking.

"I have more information about the monster." Reggie finally said to them.

"You do?" Archie and Jughead asked in disbelief.

"Pops told me. That's why I hurried to find you. We need to find Aria in secret." Reggie explained to him.

"What's going on?" Jughead suddenly asked worriedly. Was she hurt? Did the monster attack her? Did it kidnap her? He was trying not to panic, but you could see it all over his face.

"What's going on, Reggie? What's the info? What about Aria? Tell us!" Archie whisper yelled at Reggie.

"Andrews, Aria is the monster! That monster DNA is changing her." Reggie bluntly said. Archie and Jughead's faces dropped after hearing this. It then clicked why Aria had been feeling sick, it was a side effect! It also clicked with Jughead why the monster's shape looked familiar. It's body shape was Aria's! A body he's seen almost every day since she arrived, since they dated and so on. It made Jughead sick with fear and worry.

"Do you know where she could be?" Reggie asked them quietly. Jughead knew a few spots she loved but, if she wanted to hide, he knew one spot she would be at.

"I know where." Jughead then told them.

"Where?" Archie asked him.

"There's a small cave behind a waterfall. It's up past lookout point and not really explored. It's very easy to pass it. She'd be there." Jughead tells them.

"How do you know?" Reggie asked him. Jughead felt his cheeks heat up, turning red in embarrassment.

"We… Went there on a date a month ago, it's her favorite spot to be at." Jughead said as he hid the fact they went skinny dipping up there.

"Right, let's go." Archie said with a nod before all three suck away.

The time is 1:27 pm.

*Aria's POV*

I had made it to the creek, a beautiful site surrounded by trees, a small cliff with a waterfall and lovely flowers blooming, normally a lovely site but I was too scared and sad to enjoy it. I was looking at my reflection from the water, now showing the monster form I turned into, but was in control. I had even seen the viper tongue I had slither out of my mouth. That's why I had snake skin in my vomit. Tears fell from my eyes before I looked down at my hands/claws. I was a morpholomew but a different one. Were females different? Perhaps so. Either way, I was hurting people and I didn't want to do that anymore. I also don't want to be hunted. Hopefully, no one finds me until Supreme girl can arrive. She had a cure and I needed it. Now. I took a few minutes to compose myself before slipping into the river. I went under the water before slipping up behind the waterfall. From there, I reached up and slipped inside the small cave. It could hold 10-12 people in a sitting fetal position easily. Jughead and I had discovered this and it was our new romantic get away spot. Only Jughead and I know of this spot, so no one would find me here. If Supreme girl looks for me, I just hope she'll find me. I just can't chance being around anyone right now.

"Aria." I heard faintly. It sounded like a whisper.

"Hey, Doll Face, we know you're here." I heard Reggie call out.

"Not so loud! We don't want them to hear if they followed!" I then heard Jughead.

"Go away!" I yelled out to them. I knew they heard me too. I then heard someone run close to the waterfall and a figure formed behind the watery curtain.

"Aria. It's ok." Jughead said calmly.

"No. Please… Just, go away." I said as I felt fresh tears fall.

"Please, I know you're turning, but I need to see you. To see you're alright." Jughead says to me. I let out a sob.

"I'm a monster." I say to him as I hid my face.

'Splash'

I heard the water shift then a slap sound. I tensed up, hoping the dark would hide me, but I knew the light slightly shining in would expose me. I felt Jughead's familiar hands on my arms, sliding up until he slipped them through to my face, my cheeks, then lifted my head up slowly. We saw each other, eye to eye, his beautiful dark irises looking into my, now, golden ones.

"You're not a monster. Not to me." Jughead whispered softly, eyes never straying from mine, as he looked at me with love. Not fear. Not hate. Love. Pure and untainted.

*If I'm dreaming, I never want it to end.* I thought as I felt his lips gently touch mine. It only lasted a few short seconds, but it felt like minutes, before he pulled back.

"Just stay here, you'll be safe." Jughead tells me.

"Find Supreme Girl. She's supposed to be here with a cure." I whispered to him. My throat felt dry.

"We will and we'll get you back to normal. Even if you stay like this, for some reason, I'll never leave your side. Aria I-" Jughead started but then footsteps were heard.

"Jughead, come on! We can't be here much longer!" Archie interrupted.

*Note to self, smack Archie for ruining this moment.* I thought bitterly. I opened my mouth to speak, but felt something big and scaly some out of it. I gasped at the viper that was my tongue.

"In a minute." Jughead said, looking away in annoyance, before turning back to be face to face with the viper. He tensed as the two made eye contact. Stupid me forgot my anger and bitterness makes me turn as well.

*Perhaps I can control it. Like the gorgons with their hair.* I thought as it opened it's mouth.

*Don't hurt him. Please!* I thought.

*Are you ssssure?* I heard in my head. It was smooth, feminine, definitely from this viper.

*Yes, I love him. He's my boyfriend.* I tell it.

*Very well.* It replied before gently caressing it's head/face against Jughead's cheek and under his chin, like a cat would, before slithering into my mouth, returning into a normal tongue.

"I-I'm sorry…" I whispered to him as I felt my eyes water more.

"You… That..." Jughead sputtered out but I put my finger to his lips.

"Jughead, please. You need to leave." I whisper softly to him. Jughead looked like he wanted to say more, but nodded in agreement instead before slipping out of the cave.

"I'll come back. I promise." Jughead said before I heard them all leave. I sighed before curling up more.

*He'ssssss cute. I ssssssee why you keep him alive.* I heard the viper talk in my head.

*Figures. You're a part of me, so you'd think that too.* I tell the viper.

*Not necsssssssessssssarily. While I'm ussssed for paralysssssissss, I'm alsssso ussssed for finding food and sssssuitable matesssss.* She tells me. This was news to me.

*Really? How?* I asked curiously. I might as well know, right?

*While malesssss ussssse their fear gazssse to see which can withssssstand it, I am used to sssssmell good onessss and usssse my eyesssss to gaze into theirsssss. Thissss helpssss me sssssee faultssssss and intentionsssssss. In sssssshort, I can sssssee if they want dominancssse or love. That boy, Jughead asss you call him, really lovessss you. He would do anything for you, even if afraid. Thatsssssss a man worth keeping, my dear. You sssssssseem to know that too sssssincsssse I can sssmell you two have mated already.* She tells me. I blush as I imagined her somehow wiggling her upper eye skin like eyebrows up and down.

*Y-you don't know that.* I stuttered out.

*Oh, I know. I wassssss in you from the moment the DNA wassssss injected into you. I can ssssee what you ssssaw.* She replied smoothly in me head. I turned red from hearing that.

*Don't tell me you're the reason I 'mated' with Jughead.* I say in my head to her. I hoped not.

*No, I wasssss not sssstrong enough to encourage you. That decisssssssion wassssss all your own.* She tells me. That made me sigh in relief.

*I might end up missing you when I get cured of this* I tell her.

*Oh, I won't go away. Even with that cure, I'll alwayssssssss be in your mind. I'll be your voicssssse of reassssssson, the voicssssse that will help your inssssssstinctssssssss, I will be in your dreamssssssss if you need me, but thissssss will not happen anymore.* She tells me. I was both relieved and bummed to hear that, but what could I do? This serpent is a part of my mind and that can't change, but the conversations won't be there unless dreaming.

*What if you could be a real snake? One that could talk?* I questioned curiously.

*That could work. I like being a part of you, but being myself might be jussssst as nicssssse.* She hissed in my hear. I rubbed my ear because it sounded like she was there. We both agreed to somehow make her a separate being but be with me. I wouldn't mind a pet snake, anyhow. I just had to wait…

The time is 1:43 pm

*Third POV*

Archie remembered Aria kept in contact with Supreme girl somehow, so Supreme Girl might go to her house when she arrives. Our best chance was to go there and wait, but first we needed to check on Pops and the girls. The guys made it to Pops' place, greeted by Pops and the girls, before the boys explained Aria was safe, she was indeed the monster and how Supreme girl was coming with a cure. They never mentioned her location, just to keep her safe. They were right to do so, because the troops were listening in on any building they could, using technology to locate her, but coming up short. They heard Archie and the gang and listened in for a bit, but heard no real info except about Supreme Girl.

"Boss, that Andrews boy mentioned Supreme Girl." One of them radioed Luxord. Luxord cringed at that.

"Try to hurry and find her, before Supreme Girl does. If she finds the Andrews girl first, we won't have our chance." Luxord ordered on the other end. Luxord had big plans for the Andrews girl, as long as he could obtain her, then all will go to plan. But, so far, nothing is as planned. While Luxord was gaining a headache from all of this, his team was searching high and low for Aria, at the same time the Archie and the gang were writing down a plan just in case anyone was listening in. The plan was, Jughead would head back to the secret spot, making many twists and turns to avoid everyone, while Archie would head back to her house to wait for Supreme Girl as well as call his uncle to let him know of the situation in small details, then everyone else will split up as if searching for her still. They executed the plan and it worked, they were being followed, except Archie and Jughead lost them all together as they made it to their destinations. Jughead comforted the scared and tired Aria, snuggling together happily, while Archie went through with his part.

The time was now 1:57 PM.

*Supreme Girl's POV*

I had arrived 3 minutes sooner than anticipated, arriving outside of Riverdale, so I flew to Aria's new home. I thought it was strange the streets were empty, but saw some army styled men wondering and hiding. This wasn't good. I landed right in front of the door and knocked. Who should open the door but Cutie himself.

"Hey there Cutie, where's Smarty?" I asked him. He pulled me inside then looked around before shutting the door.

"Shh. Were you followed?" He asked me.

"No, why?" I asked him.

"Aria turned into the monster. She's ok for now, but keeps morphing when afraid. She felt sick and then was abducted by men in a van. She poisoned them with a crazy viper tongue she has and, well, is hiding. Someone is hunting her down, so if you do have that cure, we need to make it fast." Archie explained to me very quickly.

"Alright, take me to where she's hiding. I have the cure." I tell him as I patted the bag I had.

"Right, we need to be quick. Those military men are trying to find her." He tells me before we snuck out. We walked some of the way before we were in the woods.

"I can fly us, now." I say to him. In truth, while walking would be better, I just wanted an excuse to hold him close to me. He was super cute after all. I got behind him, holding him in a hug close to me, before we flew around the trees to where he told me to go. I flew through the waterfall to see Smarty kissing that one boy, Jughead I believe was his name, before jumping at the site of us then being relieved.

"Really..." Archie muttered at the two lovebirds.

"Sorry." Jughead muttered.

"Supreme Girl!" Smarty yelped happily at the sight of me.

"I have the cure." I tell her happily.

"Um, yeah, about that..." Aria started to say before a viper darted out of her mouth, connecting to her tongue.

"Aria explained she and the viper want to be apart before being cured." Jughead explained as the viper nodded.

"Interesting… Females are different than males." I muttered in awe before shaking my head.

"Alright, I can see what I can do. But it'll take some time." I explain to them.

"Time is not what you have." We heard as we were soon surrounded by the swat team. Aria backed up in fear as the viper hissed at them, Jughead and Archie got behind me as I got ready to fight.

"We just want the Andrews girl." One of the soldiers claimed.

"You'll have to get past me." I tell them.

"We anticipated this." Another said before throwing Trantonium powder right at me. I coughed and gasped as I felt weak. I collapsed onto the floor.

"Trantonium... Powder..." I coughed out. I felt the boys help me up before we all heard a growl. Then screams as Aria, now purple with claws, started slicing them before the viper used the venomous bite to paralyze them all. She turned and grabbed me before tossing me into the water. I gasped and thought she was turning bad, but then felt strong and burst up to see them all in the water. Monster Aria looked vicious, but lowered herself as the viper swayed back and forth.

"You… You won't hurt us?" I asked as I still readied myself. The viper retreated.

"You, weak, Trantonium. Water, help." She gurgled out in a distorted voice.

"Oh. You're not fully turned and are remembering more, so you won't hurt us." I say as I figured it out. She nodded before looking around.

"Danger. Meet, school, lab." She said before she sprung up from the water and bolted into the woods.

"The school lab? Why?" Jughead questioned it.

"If there are chemicals, then maybe one will split the viper and Smarty apart before curing." I thought before grabbing them.

"I need you two to run into town, act like you're chasing her, while I meet up with her at the school." I say as I explained the plan. They agreed and ran off. Let's hope I can do this quickly.

*Third POV*

Aria made it to the school, having to ward off a few swat members as well, before slipping into the science lab. She thought she was alone until Dilton spotted her, not noticing her until he looked up from a project and screamed, then dashed for the door. Aria leaped to the door and stopped him.

"Please, don't hurt me!" Dilton cried out.

"Dilton." She said in a distorted voice. Dilton stopped and looked at the monster, taking a few seconds to note her looks, before gasping.

"Aria?" He asked, recognizing the girl after a moment. She nodded before her monster looks slowly faded. She collapsed to her knees from feeling weak. Dilton, realizing what was happening to her, rushed to her side and helped her up.

"What's happening?" He asked, though he knew the answer, as he helped her to a stool in the lab.

"I need help." Was all she told him before looking at him with pleading eyes that held fear. A rare sight since Aria was always the brave one.

"I'll help any way I can." Dilton explained to her.

"I need my tongue removed without severing it." She tells him.

"Why?" Dilton asked. Aria said nothing but, instead, opened her mouth to let the viper slither out. Dilton, instead of freaking out, was fascinated by the lovely viper.

"I think I have something, but it's still experimental." Dilton explained. Aria reached out and held his hand, not speaking a word, to let him know she trusted him. Dilton nodded and got to work, following notes and such he's done for weeks now, on an experimental formula he created to separate conjoined twin animals, snaked for example, to one day be able to use in the medical field. How lucky for Aria.

While this went on, Archie and Jughead made great distractions for the swat team, even running into the gang to explain in code so they helped as well, while Supreme Girl, to buy time, decided to try and find out who called in the swat team and why. This lead to Supreme Girl going to the Mayor of Riverdale. While Supreme Girl was talking to the mayor about who got him to send them out, the plan she has etc., The gang had ended up meeting up again, only to be surrounded by the swat team. With very little choice, the swat team took the kids to a building for questioning, though none were saying anything, as Luxord decided to show up.

"We don't know anything!" Archie yelled out in annoyance.

"Honest, we can't locate our missing friend!" Betty interjected.

"I understand you're hiding her, but she is dangerous at the moment." Luxord said as he came through the door to look at all five teens.

"Professor Luxord?" Archie questioned.

"What do you know?" Veronica asked suspiciously.

"I know a lot more than you think, which is why I sent the swat team out to retrieve her." Luxord said to all of them.

"Why?" Archie questioned harshly.

"I've been trying to find a cure for Miss Andrews, since the robot couples had shown odd DNA in her, which is why when she grew ill I sent my men to retrieve her." He confessed to the teens.

"You hurt my mom!" Archie yelled at him.

"No, she was knocked out with gas. No harm was done, I assure you. This was supposed to be a simple retrieval and hospitalized until cured. A week at most, but she turned. I talked to the mayor and sent them out to find her to reduce damages and fear, but that's not likely now." Luxord explained to them.

"Then why not just say that?" Jughead asked, growing suspicious of the man.

"Would you believe me?" Luxord asked them. The looks the teens gave showed they wouldn't have.

"Where is she?" Luxord asked them. He knew they knew.

"She's getting a cure, it doesn't matter." Jughead told him boldly.

"Oh? How do you know it'll work?" Luxord asked suddenly.

"We have a friend who's been working on this since she became infected. They're meeting up and, if anything, she's cured now." Archie explained to them.

"Well, running a few tests wouldn't hurt, just to be sure." Luxord said as he tried to persuade the teens. The teens seemed skeptical, but they knew she would need to be examined after, though they are unsure for now.

"I left her in the woods, by the lake, until our friend sees her." Jughead blurted out.

"Jughead!" Archie scolded while the others seemed shocked he said anything. Luxord nodded at them before signaling the team to go to that location.

"I mean well, I really do, which is why we need to make sure no more harm is done to the town. A special team of doctors are going to examine her to be sure she is 100% normal." Luxord assured as the team hurried off. The teens knew Jughead was lying, they were actually shocked he said something and not Archie, but all Jughead thought of was to protect his girlfriend, the love of his life, at any cost. Jughead is usually a bad liar, but in this case he felt he did well. Luxord was convinced because he knew Jughead was a bad liar, so nothing seemed out of the ordinary for him.

Meanwhile, Supreme Girl had gotten the info she needed. She used her watch to look up Luxord but there was very little record of him. This made her question things, but for now she had to get to the school. She had found the lab easily.

"You made it." She said happily to her friend.

"This is Dilton, he's been working on a mix to separate two headed snakes, so this might help." Aria informed the hero as Supreme Girl looked over the notes.

"Yes, though it's missing something vital and, since this is other worldly, I'm not sure what." Dilton confessed as he examined his notes and then the mix.

"Try this." Supreme girl said as she pulled out a pouch that held two syringes filled with the cure to cure her. Only one is needed.

"I only need one, so perhaps mixing some with this mixture could create the right chemical components needed to separate the two without anything going missing, amputated or mutated in the process." Supreme girl suggested then jotted down the notes of what it contained and how much. Dilton looked it over, looked at how much the syringe had then began the train of thought.

"If we only use 1/9th of a syringe, then the mixture should sustain and separate them with ease." Dilton concluded.

"We should hurry." Aria suggested, feeling something was wrong. Meanwhile, Luxord got the call that Aria was nowhere to be found in those woods, so he confronted the teens once more.

"She wasn't there. Where is she?" He questioned them.

"If she's not there, then she ran off. She could be anywhere in the woods." Jughead said as he felt confident.

"Don't you lie to me." Luxord threatened them.

"Whether we are or not, we won't say anything until we know she's cured." Reggie said, finally perking up for once. Aria had his back through good and bad times, so now it was his turn to step up once again.

"We won't know that, will we?" Luxord told them with a frown.

"Professor, we have a report." One of the men went to him with a radio.

"That's right, the monster has been dealt with. The town is safe, everyone may leave their homes and buildings at this time. Thank you for being patient and for your cooperation today." The mayor spoke over the radio. Luxord's jaw dropped at this.

"Supreme Girl cured her." Was overheard by Archie.

"Supreme Girl, your friend?" Luxord asked as he faced them. He knew the answer.

"Yes, now can we go?" Archie asked them.

"My team and I will take you wherever you need. We must make sure she does not turn again." Luxord pressed his concern to them. As they agreed, all got in a van and headed to the High School. There, Supreme Girl and Dilton made the mixture needed and prepared it in a dropper.

"Alright, just stick out your tongue so we can find the right spot to separate." Dilton said as he showed the dropper. Aria gulped, but trusted him as she opened her mouth. The viper slithered out, nearly 3 feet long, before he could see a part of her tongue. Aria assured the viper all would be well before the drops were added. Both Aria and the viper flinched at the sudden sizzling sensation before the two ends dissolved. Aria had her tongue back, no damage done and such, while the viper plopped onto Aria's lap, nothing wrong either and a tail forming, as it wiggled before curling up. Aria looked down and pet the viper with a smile.

"Thanks. Sorry, I just feel she deserved a life too." Aria confessed as the viper hissed happily.

"Completely understandable." Dilton said with a smile. Supreme Girl heard car tires screech and looked out to see the van.

"We have company." She said before pulling out the unused syringe. Aria and Dilton got her arm ready as, so Supreme Girl injected her with the cure.

"Hide her." Aria said before she turned pink then fell. Supreme Girl caught her as the viper slithered into a cabinet to hide. Just a few seconds later, the door opened and the doctors, teens and Luxord came in.

"Is she alright?" Archie asked as Supreme Girl laid her down on a lab table.

"She's fine, just sick still." Supreme Girl informed them. Still, those doctors did a quick examination on her, even drawing blood, before confirming she has the flu with a fever. The blood showed she was normal as well.

"Well, that's good to know. Now I don't have to worry about the formulas." Luxord explained with a sigh of relief.

"Oh? You were working on a cure as well?" Supreme Girl said with her arms crossed.

"Yes, finding out she was infected, I thought of a cure and was trying to make it, hoping it would work. It seems it's one less problem, though anyone bit by the venomous bite is being cured with many kinds of anti-venom." Luxord explained.

"Well, your men scared her and caused her to turn, so none of this is her fault. If you intended to help, you should've just said so in the first place." Supreme Girl pointed out, not believing a word he was saying.

"My apologies on that, but I did not wish to raise alarm and wanted to be quick and quiet. No one in town knows it was her unless it gets out." Luxord explained then pointed out. This was true, only the teens and Pops knew it was Aria that was the monster, but Supreme Girl still didn't trust Luxord.

"I'm bringing her home, she needs rest." Was all Supreme Girl said before picking Aria up and headed out. Before leaving, she whispered to Archie.

"I don't trust him. He's lying through his teeth." She said before leaving. The viper knew she was gone and was upset, until Luxord and the others left.

"Can you drive me to her place?" Dilton asked Archie.

"Yes, why?" Archie asked curiously. Dilton opened the door to the cabinet and exposed the viper. The viper looked around before spotting Jughead. She practically had hearts in her eyes before darting and curling around his leg.

"Ah, her viper. It's removed?" Jughead asked.

"Yes, with the help of Supreme Girl, we removed the viper successfully." Dilton explained. Betty and Veronica looked freaked out, heck even Reggie looked freaked, while Archie looked nervous. Jughead, freaked out by snakes, got the viper on his arm and started scratching under her chin.

"Archie and I can take her there, no problems." Jughead said to them.

"We'll go get Pops and meet up with you all later." Betty said before all parted ways. Archie and Jughead arrived and Supreme Girl talked to them.

"I think Luxord is bad. There's very little information on him and, even if what he intended was true, was wrong. I believe he wanted her for another reason, spying on her." She tells them.

"How can you be sure?" Jughead asked. Then, Supreme Girl showed a couple small device.

"These were around the house." She informed them. The boys were shocked as Supreme Girl revealed the phones were tapped. Then a thought came to Archie's mind.

"Aria's house had a break in a while ago. Nothing taken, but the door was slightly open. Everything seemed fine, though. Whomever put those in, might've did that on that day and has to be skilled." Archie said as he remembered the break in.

"I would say so. Just watch out for him." Supreme Girl told them. After talking a bit longer, Aria woke up, Supreme Girl made sure she was alright then left her with Archie and Jughead. Archie and Jughead took the time to explain all to her as the viper slithered to Aria happily. Aria apologized profusely over her actions just as Reggie, Dilton, Betty, Veronica, Pops and Mrs. Andrews came up. This caused Aria to apologies more and more while being upset. They all knew it wasn't her fault and that she lost control, but that still didn't comfort her. She made a tough choice.

"Archie, let's get to writing the article. No changes, as is." She tells him. Archie wanted to talk her out of it, but she refused. After 10 minutes of arguing, he agreed and began the story. One of the longest articles yet.

*Aria's POV*

"After all of this, we can gladly say all has ended well. No major damages, no one got hurt and anyone that was SWAT has been helped. ~ Archie. I feel awful about all of this, I cannot apologies enough for my actions. Even if I had lost control, I still should've taken extra precautions. Any damages, I will use my savings to pay for and work extra hard to pay for all damages. I, really, cannot apologize enough. ~ Aria. This, as hard of a lesson as it is, shows once again we should not leave problems alone until they grow out of control. If you ever need help, feel troubled, anything you should talk to someone. While this was not entirely unpreventable, it was still unexpected. ~ Archie. Again, I'm very sorry. I'm cured but I still feel awful for becoming a monster in front of everyone. Someone, no something, that I am not. I don't expect forgiveness, but I will work hard to earn back everyones trust and forgiveness. Actions have consequences and I have to pay for mine. No matter where I am. ~ Aria. Even in a little town called Riverdale! ~Archie & Aria!" Archie finished typing as I still felt awful.

"No one blames you, if anything I should be blamed." Archie said in sadness.

"You're not to blame." I say to him.

"Yes, I am. I accidentally injected some of that DNA into you, I was a cause of this." He tells me.

"No, it was that scientist's fault. He was mad and a villain. It's his fault, not yours. But I lost control of my emotions. Fear and anger were triggering it." I say as I brought my knees to my chest, folded my arms over them and then laid my head on them.

"Emotions are hard to control. The good news is, you're no longer a monster, you're you, so there's nothing to worry about." Archie tried to explain, but it just made me feel upset.

"Arch." Jughead called out. They whispered something to each other before I heard someone leave.

"I brought you something." Jughead said to me.

"How can you even look at me? I could've-" I started but felt tears coming on. Jughead lifted my head up to face him.

"Listen, None of this was your fault. Some might blame you, some might distance themselves and others might give you glares, but those who know you, the real you, will forgive you. Even if the whole town were to hate you, which they won't, I will still love you. I will be by your side, no matter what, I won't be scared off that easily." He said as we gazed into each others eyes. I felt myself smile as a few tears fell from my eyes.

"How is it you know what to say? Even things hard to say?" I ask in a whisper to him.

"Because we understand each other. We've known each other for both a long and short time, though it feels like a life time, we just understand each other with and without words." He tells me. I leaned forward and gently kissed his lips before pulling back. Jughead smiled before showing me some cookies.

"Snicker doodles." He tells me. I gasped and took one before nibbling on it. A small smile appeared on my face.

"You made them, I could tell." I say as I still had an adorable little smile on my face.

"I made them while you and Arch were typing. Your dad seemed, off about it." He tells me. I look at him.

"He's being a protective dad, can you blame him?" I asked him.

"No, I can't." He says as dad came up the stairs.

"You need rest so, Jughead, please go home." Dad said to him.

"Aw, five more minutes?" I asked him.

"No, he's right. You need rest still." Jughead tells me. I pout but he kissed the top of my head.

"I'll come by tomorrow to see you." Jughead tells me. I wave bye as he left. Dad waited before looking at me.

"The window and door at the school need to be replaced, as well as a few small patches of grass and walkways, but nothing to major." He informs me. "And Pops?" I asked him. "He doesn't want his medical bills paid. It's only a few bruises." Dad tells me.

"I have some money." I say as I got up.

"Aria-" Dad started but I pulled out a puzzle box I had. I opened it and revealed a large wad of cash. I pulled it out and walked over to dad before giving it to him.

"I managed to save up $11,726. I was using it for college, but I can get a scholarship or something. Just, just use it towards the damages and Pops' medical bills. I'll earn more if needed." I say to him.

"How, but, what?" Was all dad could stutter out.

"I've saved it for a long time, since getting here actually, between chores, babysitting, working at Pops', working Christmas at the Lodge Shopping center and any odd jobs I could do. I can always save more." I say to him.

"You've… Saved this for over 3 years though." He says to me.

"It's ok. I can earn more, it's not a big deal." I say to him.

"Honey-" He started but I shoved it to him.

"Just use it and let me know how much more is needed. I don't want to hear anything more on it." I scolded him. I wanted a clear concise.

"Alright. We'll sort this out." He tells me. I nod and urged him out. He leaves me alone. After a minute I sighed and let all the emotions flow out before going to my new tank.

"I'm glad I have a new friend, though." I say as I looked at the lovely Viper in the tank. I couldn't hear her thoughts, but perhaps it was because we were weak from everything we went through. Luxord doesn't know she exists, and hopefully never will, though if discovered by anyone I will say she is a rare viper found here and was taken from another country. Perhaps the last of her species. That's the excuse, Dilton might be able to help with that thesis. The viper perked her head up and looked at me, I swear she was smiling. I reached my hand in and began petting her, she snuggled into my hand as I did this, showing no fear. She will never bite me.

"I think you should have a name. I have 5 good names." I say to her as I stopped petting her. She looked at me in waiting.

"Stheno?" I suggested. She shook her head no.

"Euryale?" I suggested after. Again, she shook her head no.

"Medusa?" I asked her. She shook her head no once more. There went three of the gorgon sisters.

"Serpentina?" I questioned. She shook her head no as well.

"Well, if you were a boy I'd suggest Jafar, but what about Nasira?" I suggested. She shook her head no. I sighed and went to my computer.

"Ok, fine. Let's look up some names then." I say as I opened up a name list.

"Viperine?" I suggested. She shook her head no and I sighed again.

"Ivy?" I suggested. Nope. I tried Buttercup, Orochi, Poison, Venus and many more but all failed. I even tried Nagini and that was a fail.

"Well, you're purple-ish. How about Amethyst?" I suggested. Still a no.

"Well, how about a musical name like mine? Or a song name? Hm… Viola?" I suggested. A side to side head tilt. I was on the right track.

"Ok, Symphony?" I asked. Another tilt.

"Um.. Hold on." I say as I type in some music notes and names.

"Ah, how does Vespers sound?" I asked her. She vigorously nodded yes. She now had a name. Vespers.

I hope you all like this! I tried my best, re-wrote some stuff and tried my best to not lose interest.

Here is a bonus too!

What it was originally supposed to be!

(This teenage girl bit George's arm, left one on the upper area, with razor sharp teeth! She had grown shark teeth in an instant before biting him. What made this worse? Her eyes immediately turned gold with slits, black claws replaced her nails and she ripped his flesh off his arm with a wicked smile on her face before chewing and swallowing it. George let her go but she lunged and started clawing and biting him as he screamed in agony. I tried to inject the tranquilizer in her but she flung me backwards. I felt a rib break as I had dented the side of the van from the sheer force. George's screams started to become gargled before I heard the driver scream, tires screech and then a crash sound as I was jerked onto George. My eyes widened as I saw George's wide eyes. His dead eyes.

That's right, she had killed him. I heard nothing but growls and chewing, slushy, odd sounds. It took me a moment to realize she was morphing and eating the, most likely dead, driver.

I got up and nearly vomited from the amount of blood that practically painted the van, especially the cracked windshield, as our driver's body was slumped over. Poor guy. His face was ripped off, his chest was torn open, heck his ribs were pulled back as if something burst out of there, as there were no organs inside him at all. George was not better off in a way. He had many deep claw marks, his left arm was almost completely removed due to more bite marks showing she was eating it. It was hanging by a small portion of meat and skin, bone bitten through as well, while he had a deep gash, claw marks not teeth marks, on his throat to show she slashed it to kill him since both vital arteries in the neck were punctured. He had bled out and the gargling was reflex. He had died almost as soon as the wound was inflicted. I'm glad he didn't feel any of this. I pulled out my cell and called the boss.

"Did you get her?" I heard him ask.

"She turned and attacked us. She's escaped. George and Bill are dead." I tell him as I had to get out of the van. This was a bad move.

"Is she fully turned?" He asked me.

"No but-" I started saying but then heard the sickening growl of a predator. I turned and there she was, skin turning purple, hair with black streaks, wearing black and purple pajama pants and spaghetti top with no shoes, feet curled and becoming bat like, grinning at me with hungry eyes, saliva dripping from her mouth as her toes, fingers up to her elbows and her mouth down to part of her chest was covered in a thin amount of blood. I knew I couldn't get out of this. This was only a few seconds of staring before she lunged.

*Third POV*

Aria had lunged at Dick like the raptors in Jurassic Park 2, while he screamed, before she landed on him, her mouth over his upper face and head before he even hit the ground, as a sickening crunch was heard. Dick was no longer screaming, half of his head gone at this point, as blood spurted and body convulsed while Monster Aria was ripping into the corpse and eating some of his flesh before looking up. She sniffed the air and growled in delight before rushing off. A new prey for her to devour. The phone, that was in Dick's hand, was still on and Professor Luxord, who Dick was talking to, had heard all of this. He tan face paled as he realized what he heard. The sickening crunch sounds, flesh being torn, his employee dying as he was powerless to stop it.

That's when we heard screams, at first ones yelling attack before screams of pain and agony, followed by some splashing sounds, thuds, things being thrown and some growls before silence. Everyone in the room had been silent through this before Archie worked up the courage to peek out. Miss Grundy tried to stop him, but it was too late. There was blood splattered on the window, like watered red paint, as he then saw the 4 bodies on the ground. 1 was ripped apart, his limbs were scattered around, 1 was torn open with no head above the chin, 1 was, literally, split in half vertically and the last one was split vertically and was missing organs from the looks of it since he was closest to the window. Archie paled before he let the blinds go back down.

"Archie?" Betty asked worriedly but Archie didn't move.

"Archie-kins?" Veronica asked worriedly.

"They're… Dead..." Archie finally muttered out. They gasped as Reggie didn't believe him until he looked. He shook and nearly puked as he sunk next to Archie.

"Andrews' is right! They're dead!" Reggie exclaimed quietly as he and Archie were very pale.

All the teens shrieked at this and some shrieked more at the sight of the torso, a few puked, as Miss Grundy made the decision to unlock the door and get everyone to make a run for it.

What they didn't know was the monster behind that door, blood thirsty and intent on killing/feasting, was Aria but not Aria.

The men shot the tranquilizers at her before she landed on one, teeth on his neck, before ripping his throat open. She was hit with three darts before turning to the other man and shoved her arm right through his chest and back, causing his heart to explode, before throwing him into the statue. She swayed back and forth, feeling woozy, as more men showed up, guns and nets at the ready, before she decided to bolt. Even a rage filled monster knew when to quit. They tried to capture her, but she injured any in her way before vanishing into town and ally ways.

There are people dying and you want an interview?!" Reggie yelled out at Archie.

He gasped at the sight of a pale looking Aria Andrews, covered in blood, unable to stand. Pops called out her name and hurried to unlock the door. There was only him in the shop, but he was able to help her inside. With half opened eyes she looked right up at Pops.

The time was 11:64 am.

"I'm not hurt, just sick.. Why? I something wrong?" I asked before I saw my hands. My eyes widened as I now saw the blood. A lot of it. My hands shook as I felt more sick. Pops looked worried before I bolted to the bathroom. I didn't make it but, thankfully, there was a bucket and I pucked in that. What I saw terrified me. I had puked up blood and odd sorts of meat. I knew I hadn't had food before the 'abduction' so this petrified me. Worse was it looked like organs and skin all chewed up.

"There's a monster outside. From what the news has stated, the monster attacked the school and those 'military' type men got attacked. About 12 or so injured badly, 6 dead, ripped to shreds and before that a van was crashed, three were found dead." Pops informed me.

"No. I'm putting you in danger." I say as I tried to shake him away from me.)

THIS IS WHAT I HAD BEFORE I CHANGED EVERYTHING! I decided to make it less dark but dark enough. Hopefully it works. Sorry for the loooooong wait. I had to stop a few times and adjust, not to mention near the end I decided to adda fun mini-chapter before this. Enjoy!
