You always felt weightless when you flew and infinite joy when over the city; all its beautiful twinkling lights like stars in the night danced to their own tune. You could feel it through a glowing wind current that ran through every inch of…your home.

Home, you lament while gently landing and standing atop the tallest skyscraper and cast a plaintive gaze over the city, taking in every single atom in. Rotating slowly around, you look to the east of the city…Cups n More ice-cream parlor was there….April and Kirby took you there a few times. A stilled gaily smile trembled across your lips, turning to the behind to the west…Roosevelt High School, the O'Neil house, and much more are located over there. School, you lament…you remember the countless times your hand or hands shot up to answer any teacher's questions. Sometimes you'd fling your whole body up from the desk or hurry to the front, and complete said equation or problem or fill-in. The chalk always felt funny in your hand, dropping your eyes to your palm see the pass dusted chalk stains coating it. Laughing piteously to at the memory and the fact you never carried nor noticed how dusted your hands became.

April did, though. She'd always take you into the girl's restroom (it was a funny name, you use to think) and help you wash your hands, or she'd have clean hand wipes for you. She would always clean you up or clean up after you. When you first learned to eat…and a messy came after, she was there to wipe your mouth and clean everything. After which, she showed you properly how to use a fork properly and everything else. Once you made a mess in the bathroom when you wanted to see how much water could fill…the tub, Mikey said something about an indoor pool. April had to clean that up and scolded Mikey harshly for giving you such an idea.

Turning your gaze upward to the stars solemnly dancing above you, their shine seemed duller than ever, pierce through the atmospheres to the vast, free space. Your heart trembled when it should be jumping and cheering. It had once before when you and the others expanded to a world beyond the city, beyond Earth, and more. For a moment, pain slashed in you recounting your troubling times, when you changed and went through a sort of…metamorphosis as you called it, feeling nothing but a suffocating torrent. April was there….to help you.

Soon, she wouldn't be anymore. Your heart sunk with a hand clenching over it, hanging your head and shoulders shudder alone, weeping dry tears, and fall to your knees. Bishop's words replaying in your mind and dread washing over you; cursing yourself knowing it was true that you had to eventually….after the fight against the other Shredder and Kraang…that you'd have to…depart, from here. For how long….you weren't sure. That was the only silver lining that you could see.

Wiping your phantom tears, gaze again at the city…your home. Blinking once see the integral energies of everyone and lines running through it. Blinking again, erase it, see just the city and think for a moment….after telling the others, did they feel the same? So far, there were already signs of no; because you moved in with Bishop, causing your presence to be minimal at times, things had been moved around in the turtles' home and missions you hadn't heard of only to be informed by Mikey and April. Even back at your old home, you flew by to see a few times, and no one was home. So you just peered in the window and, to your dismay, saw a few things moved around, Kirby still had some pictures of you up and your room…so far as you knew now, remained fine. But, once April did text you, Kirby thought of getting a new office, and your heart cried, but you smiled.

You smiled soon became heavier than anything to lift, that you just resorted to smirking softly. Gazing up again, you had just about a week at best to be here….Bishop was busy packing and preparing for departure, telling you to enjoy these last few days.

You tried.

Though it seemed the others preferred their own time too. Each seems to be busy after they were told the news, even Kirby.

You clenched a fist, just thinking about it, but it fizzled. Needing and wanting to take all you could before….the next few days(three) flashed by quick, fly off over the city. Memories filed through your mind….good ones…elated ones….crumbling ones. Laughable ones. A few times, you stopped and looked down at moments happening below. A couple sitting down enjoying themselves at a restaurant. A person was flagging down a taxi; you remember doing that once. Continuing through, you spot a few hot dog stands and think of the time after patrol Casey suggested everyone get one; you never had one, and he bought you your first one. It was amazing the first bite. Feeling a tug towards one, drop down in an ally, walk out and get one.

Back to flying through the city, munching on the dog, change directions towards the amusement park. It finally re-opened and was lively; here…you remember finding Karai in her mutant form when her mind was gone. The sight nearly shattered your heart, more than anyone knew. She was your responsibility after all; Tang Shen bestowed it. Even if it wasn't finalized….it was to you. Karai was your younger sister, time-travel wise and wanted to keep that. With you gone…you wonder if Tang Shen would be…upset. Her face filled your mind, smiling warmly with tender eyes.

For a moment…you wondered if, holding your open used your energy to construct a bust of her smiling as she made your mind; you could use what you would learn to…no. You shut the thought down, knowing well what dark path that leads down. Splinter…he would be displeased….Splinter, a strong wave hit you suddenly; Splinter!

You had promised him that you would-

Your phone buzzed, snapping you back. "Hello?" Your answer.

It was Bishop, "Where are you?"

"Sightseeing. That is all." you took a moment to respond, hiding the cracking in your voice.

"It must be cut short. My apologies, but we must leave now."

Your heart lurched with ice, and your stomach dropped. Did he…just say,…..your hand trembled feverishly, almost dropped your phone.

"B-But…" you try finding the words, but your tongue swelled. They could not form. "B-But….you s…said…that…."

"I know. But, I believe we should leave soon. It would be best if you started, and the longer we delay, the more I fear. I hope you spent sightseeing enjoying the comfort of others."

Your heart crumbled at the mention of the others; you hadn't…you…weren't able to….pressured swelled up in you, but you held it down.

"I…I…" your words trembled softly, unable to have the strength to complete the sentence.

Bishop continued, "I know when you come back, this is a surprise to you. But it is necessary. So please return at once; time is of the essence." You nodded plaintively; he added enormity.

Doing your best to hide your mounting whimpers, agree, and hang up. Hearing the line end, Bishop smirked.

"She's on her way. Be ready."

Normally quick through the skies, you treaded slowly. Dragging your return back home, becoming one with the stilled breeze. A part of you wanted to stop a few times….but resisted. It was urgent; you heard it in his voice and the lack of remorse. That sorry was forced, you could tell.

"I am here," you announce yourself, flying in, find yourself in complete, motionless darkness. "H-Hello?" You call holding up a hand and light a sphere. There was no sign of Bishop or anyone.

Tentatively you take a step, keeping yourself calm but alert. Bishop should be here….he wouldn't leave without you. Did something happen to the electricity? No, not with the power source that sustained the building, then what? Moving further through, form an energy dagger in your other hand and hold it up. No sound was made. Not even a breeze was felt. Yet, it felt as though eyes were watching you. With that, you release the sphere, letting it hover next to you and form another dagger in your other hand while coating yourself in a thin armor of energy. Whoever was here, you had to be quicker than them. Splinter told you to be prepared for anything and remain on your toes.

Splinter… your mind drifted for a moment, quickly you brought it back, and the lights switched on.

"SURPRISE! MAY!" Everyone appeared, Karai, Shini, the guys, Casey, everyone you knew, even Mona, screaming ardently. Tossing confetti, popping poppers, and letting balloons go.

You gasped!

The room was decorated in vibrate colors of streamers hanging from the walls. A large banner reading: WE LOVE YOU, MAY! Hanging in the center. Assorted foods and goodies spread out on two tables, with two fountains filled with crisp golden liquid and the other a milky white. There was another table with presents pilled on, next to it more decorations, more tables with food and boxes of pizza, lively music filled the room, and pictures of you with the others lined the walls.

Most importantly, everyone was here. Standing before you, wide smiles on every face. Smiles that swelled in you, you clasp your hands over your face, burying it. Hiding your trembling lips trembled and misting eyes, stand-alone and drop to your knees, burying your flushing face further.

"AH, guys, I think we made her cry," Mondo pointed, licking his eyes, gathering everyone's attention.

His concerns were understandable; April softly smiled to herself, knowing what it was, and walked to you. She kneeled and put a comforting arm around you. Instantly you latch on her, burying your face in her chest. She rested her head on yours, laughing quietly. The others watch and wait; Kirby smiled warmly and walked over. He kneeled on your other side and rested a gentle hand atop your hair, and stroked it. April met his eyes and smiled.

"Sister," you call softly, gaining her attention.

"Yeah? What's up?"

You take a moment and lift your head and eyes to her's; a silent gasp slipped from April for a moment, the others too at what they saw. Bishop even lifted his shades.

As you stood, with April's help holding her hand, a smile soft as silk and bright as a star spread across your lips. Your eyes glimmered sweeter than sugar and soft as wool at every one of them. It was purity manifested, and rising mist still filling your eyes erupted in your heart. You place a hand over it, now knowing why…why everyone wasn't and…Bishop…he…his called….they…everyone….words could not describe such an ocean of feelings that filled you.

The words wouldn't even come; all you could do was smile and glow. Stepping forward to the others, your hand slips slowly from April's, and she releases you to the others. With your arms opening, Mikey and the others rush you and layer you in their arms. Mikey hogging you the most.

"Thank you." You cry, "Thank you. Everyone."
