Eggman was not having a great day. Then again, when has it ever when Sonic thwart his plans?

"Doctor! Sonic destroy our mechs and badniks and released all the animals, including the ones you stash away in your emporium." Said Eggman orb headed subservient.

"Doct, should I have send the out the Egg Scuffler?"

"Grrr... You fool! You should of been dispatch my Robot already! Knowing that rat he's probably knocking right at our door ri-"

A loud boom resonated in the room, a huge gush a wind bursting through came in. As it send the evil scientist henchman flying a few feet back, while the doctor covering his face and nose from the cumbersome smoke. He glared at the figured that teared his entrance down.

" The gigs up Eggman! It's time for you to get your regular beat down!"

"Gahhh! Doct what do we do now?!" As Cubot got up and started running(hopping) all around in panic tripping over itself.

"We move onto the next plan!"

"You mean our final plan?" Orbot the smart mouth said as the bot dusted itself off.

"Yes! I-I mean...dah!!" He hastily pressed a button on his dashboard.

"Ah-ha!~ I've got you now Sonic! You'll finally pay for all these years of humiliation and puns will be vanquished; along with you!"

The hedgehog lowered his eyes in boredom and placed a hand on his hip while his other hand is trying to hold back a yawn. Acclimated to his threats since... well forever.

"Let's just make this quick Egghead." The Blue Blur said as he tapped his wrist. Further infuriating the doctor more.

Suddenly the ground started to shake. Debris from earlier piling as Sonic looked around ears twitching searching for the menace.

"#%@*!!"

Finally founded his target, the hedgehog looked up dodging the furtive blow as gust of breeze blew past his quills showing how near of a hit it was. Landing a few spaces away Sonic gave robot a once over, then he looked back at Eggman... then back at the machine and smirked.

"Another Death Egg Robot Eggman? Don't tell me your going through a phase? said the ever teasing pain in the-

Bristling with rage the 300 IQ man corrected the little menace.

"Actually it's name is called the Egg Hydra!" it is a multi-

"Blah blah Super machine! blah ultimate creation blah blah whatever! Just get ready for the beat down of the year!" Done with waiting, the hedgehog burst into action, running up to the "not Death Egg Robot" in his signature running stance, Hoping to blow a hole into this hunk of junk and be done with it. The Egg Hydra having no time; pushed his bulky arms up, barley sustaining any damage. Lifting its other 2 arms it shot out homing shots at him, trying to impede his movement. With a grunt he evaded the very lethal assault, but still have enough time to taunt his opponent.

" Is that all you got!? I expected something-"

WAM!!! The hedgehog immediately got its answer with a un-hesitant blow to his left shoulder, causing Sonic to hit a wall resulting into a spider web like crack.

Then there was a moment of silence.

"HAHAHA! Take that, you blue nuisance!"

said the one with the master plan. While the Egg Hydra stood frozen, awaiting for any sign of the blue hedgehog under the rubble. Orbot and Cubot looked a little stun... Though that's understandable considering Eggman odds at hitting Sonic is just as low as a certain Echidna I.Q.

Then there was a sudden shift... from Sonic direction.

BOOM!! The sound barrier shattered in a instant, causing the entire inside of the base to shake, as Sonic blew a hole right into it's leg then was followed up with a spin dash into the other leg; crippling the robot in a instant. The Hedgehog return to his previous position, with a stern yet playful shine to his eye, holding his arm with a light smirk on his face.

"Heh.. is that you best you've got? Come on I'm just getting started!" At that said Eggman began to chuckle leaning forward until he burst out laughing; Cubot also started laughing... Though it doesn't why it should laugh about, meanwhile Cubot was leaning on its side shaking its head at them both.

"You shouldn't underestimate my Hydra Sonic. I've arranged countermeasures for your pesky attacks." Just then the robot's shaking stopped, as the machine begin to sprout out hover-like engines from where the bot use to have its leg be.

"Oh-ho-ho-ho! Now crush him my Hydra!"

The Hydra instantly shot out a few homing shots while also firing bullets, as the big blue jumped from his spot and curled into a ball, homing in at the main body of the machine. Seeing the very fast yet linear attack zeroing in. Using its other two arms, it attempts to reach for Sonic hoping to grab and end the fight. Yet... As soon as the bot was in range, Sonic uncurled spinning between it's two gigantic arms. Surprised, the bot couldn't even move before the hedgehog curled back up and started slicing threw both the joints on the arm like a buzz saw. The unguarded robot tries to use its other two arms to bat the pesky hog away. Only for Sonic to jump off one of the sliced arms, dodging and causing and exposing the hunk-a junk to grab at the air. Sonic using his chance quickly severing it's other two the same way, kicking them down as well to boost him up higher. All the spectators watched as Sonic curled once more and started to spin faster for this finishing blow.

"It's light's out for you!" Said Mr. Needle Mouse. Tearing through the machines and cutting through it's circuits. Eggman's headquarters started to crumble, as the damage from earlier outside his fort was in effect now.

Just then, the Hydra begin to emit light, causing the two remaining robots, Eggman, and Sonic who just turned in time to see what was going on.

'The Death Egg Robot' light started to shine even more intense now, lighting up the whole room and blinding everyone.But if you look closely you'll have a chance see seven familiar colors. Sonic, eyes now shielded tries to make his way to the exit, but then started to feel a VERY familiar energy pulling onto him, calling for him.

'Huh? that's new?' Said our hero thinking while still trying to shield his eyes at the discomfort of the light.

'But still... It's better off if I hold onto them for now. It will only cause more trouble if let Eggface hold onto them any longer..'

Eyes now closed, Sonic began to make his way forward to the Emerald, feeling them guide him towards them. He started to collect them one by one though cutting some of his fingers and tearing a piece of his left glove in the process. With annoyed grunt he started sucking on his finger hoping to ease the discomfort real quick. As he reached the finally 3 the light started to illuminate the whole room causing Sonic to keep his eyes tighter and Cubot to whine and complain while Orbot was showing its sarcasm at the egg shaped man. The same man began his ritual of cursing Sonic and ranting about his two personnels uselessness... So yeah same ol' same old.

But as Sonic touches the final emerald that when he felt kinda dizzy... REALLY dizzy! No... he feels sleepy now.

'Damm... Not feeling so hot right now..'

Then

all of the light turned blacked for him.

Then

Sonic was out.
