Chapter 88 Scion of the Shredder

It has been two months since Leo when to train with the Ancient ones. It seemed weird not to have our leader. Being down in the lair with the Guys and Master Splinter. Raph and Alex were punching the punching bag, Don and I were working on the turtle submarine. Mikey was working on his tower of playing cards.

"That is impressive edifice Michelangelo dare I ask how many hours you have spent building it?" Master Splinter asked.

"Good question Sensei?" Mikey asked. "Hey, Raph what time is it?"

"Like I wear a watch," Raph said. "How sure I know? Hey Donnie what time is it?"

"Beats me," Don said. "Ask Leo?"

After Don spoke through words, it made all of us stop and freeze.

We all shared a look that made us miss him all the same.

"Sorry," Don said. "Leo been gone more than two months and I still forget that he is not here."

"Master Splinter," Raph said "When is that bum coming back?"

"Let's hope it's going to be sooner than later," I said.

We walked over to the sofa.

"And is Leo coming back normal or like more normal?" Mikey asked. "Because before he left we were acting kinda you know," He began to signal that he was crazy. Which Raph hitting him. "Ow! Hey!"

"I do not know my sons and daughters." Master Splinter said. "Leonardo is on a pilgrimage to find the Ancient one and to find answers. Such things are beyond time."

"Well, I miss having him around," Don said

"As we all," Master Splinter said. "We must have faith that he will return went he is ready."

We both offered a sad smile at Master Splinter.

Seeing Mikey working on his cards with keen interest and focus right as the alert when off.

"What is going on?" Alex asked at once.

She flicks her wrist, our fighting gear appears on us. The alert was soon dead.

"Again what is going on?" I added looking at Don for answers.

"That shouldn't happen," Don said running to the computers. "If something triggers perimeter alert it should keep ringing until I turn it off. It not supposed to turn off by itself," The rest of us rush over to see what was going on. "Unless someone just deactivates our outer alert system."

"Which means what exactly?" I asked.

As the whole lair began to shake, pulling our weapons at the ready.

"Uh, what is that?" Mikey asked.

"Whatever it is," Raph said. "It's coming through the front door."

Weapons at the ready to fight and defend ourselves of whatever it was. The ceiling around began to shake and the front door began to move with deafening roars after roars. As the door began to give way, we rushed to the door, as a streaming roll found by the wall gave way to two large and terrifying robots don in the colors of the foot clan. Followed by foot clan ninjas running in.

"What the?" Mikey asked. "The foot."

"But How?" Don asked. "How did they find us?"

"I thought we had an agreement with them," I said looking at the others.

"Don't matter how they found us?" Raph asked. "They found us, now let's kick the shell out of them."

"Agree," Alex said.

We launched ourselves into the battle against the Foot clan ninjas.

"Get out of my house!" Raph yelled.

Swinging the chain to pull a sword free, Alex caught it and swung it to take down another foot clan. A swift sharp pain ripped through my knee. Dropping me to the ground, the foot ninja stood over me, Alex flew in sending the ninja flying away. She reached down and lift me up.

"Everyone watch your back!" Mikey yelled.

Alex swung her sword paring with another foot ninja blade. Moving to dodge another sword, a shield gave flying, grabbing and using it to protect myself.

"Move!" Alex yelled. Running from the center to get higher ground.

Slipping by Master Splinter and using the shield much like a ram, knocking off foot ninjas.

"Wings!" I heard, turning to see bow and arrows flying.

Grabbing and shooting arrows aiming for the giant robots. Who swipe them off.

"Raph there are too many of them!" Don yelled. Running as the robot became too shot at me causing me to slip around the others. "We have to back off!"

"Back off this is our home!" Raph yelled.

We were summoned the foot clan ninjas stop and from the smoke came a shadow of someone who we thought was gone.

"Oh Shell," Raph said.

As the Shadow got closer and became clearer to see that it was Shredder.

"No way," Don whispered. "It can't be him."

"Master Splinter any chance this is another mystic attack?" Mikey asked.

"No my son," Master Splinter said. "This is real, all too real."

"The Shredder but the Ultron sentenced him to exile," Don said.

"Yeah well it didn't take," Raph said.

The smoke moved and the elite guards appeared.

"Oroku Saki is gone thanks to you he lives on," The Shredder said sounding a lot like Karai. The Shredder pulled at the helmet to show Karai

"Karai?" Don questioned.

"Show the daughter of Oroku Saki has become the Shredder," Master Splinter said.

"Why?"

"Honor demands it," Karai said. "Splinter-san. After you help the vile Ultron's exile, my father. I vow to avenge his honor."

"You dare speak of honor," Master Splinter said. "Your father murder my Master Yoshi, your father had no honor."

"You will pay for your lie!" Karai yelled. "All of you! Where is Leonardo?"

"He ain't here!" Raph answered.

"You know you just miss him," Mikey said pushing past Raph. "But if you leave right now we're let him know that you stop by."

"You mock me," Karai growled. "The fact that you still live to mock me."

She put the helmet back on.

"Karai I understand that you loved your father," Alex said. "But you allow your love to cloud your judgment even though you know that he was not a good man."

"At all ends now destroy them leave no one alive," Karai said.

The foot ninjas summoned us, we jump to evade them and fought against them.

Swing my bow as a weapon, running through them. Jumping and grabbing a rope to swing away only for the rope to be cut, Mikey caught me.

"Nice save Mike," I said as he drops me. "Move."

Running to dodge laser blast.

"Got to open one of these trash cans!" I heard Raph.

Glancing up to see him be crash, Alex swung in hitting the claw to let Raph go.

"Donnie look out!" Mikey yelled and jump in and pushed both of them out of the way of a flaming T.V. Watching before launching an arrow at the robot. Alex appeared and pulled me out of the laser incoming.

"Be careful," Alex ordered. Shielding us the lasers shoot over us.

"I'm trying," I responded.

Alex glanced over, she grabbed my hand and took off running dragging me along. We can to a sudden stop as we witness Master Splinter being thrown from his private dojo while in the fire and smoke Karai appeared in her Shredder form.

"You are not worthy to speak of my Father Rodent," She said. Lifting up Master Splinter "I will silence your treacherous tongue once and for all."

Alex gripped tight on my arm, frozen to the spot.

"No!" Raph yelled.

"Master Splinter!" Don yelled.

Raph ran at her and launched an attack, while Karai swatted him away like a fly. Don flew at her and landed a hit which sent Karai flying. Making the rest of us run to his side.

"Master Splinter!" Mikey yelled.

Don lifted Master Splinter's lifeless form.

"We have to get out of here," Don said.

The foot ninjas summoned us.

"Ah easier than say," Mikey said.

Alex let go of my arm,

"Donnie you take Master Splinter with you," Raph ordered. "We split up, get out and meet back up topside got it."

Alex gave Raph a look, he nodded.

"Bye-bye," She said with a smirk and flick of her wrists the lair became pitch black. I felt someone grabbed me. My eyes instantly adjusted to see Mikey who was carrying Klunk running after him to the turtle tunneler, glancing back to see the darkness was fading away which lead to laser blast. Mikey jumped into the driving seat.

"Don't worry Klunk, Tabs I got a plan," Mikey said as Klunk jumped into Mikey's lap.

"Mike we need to go on." I reasoned.

"Here we go," Mikey said and start it up.

He took off like a rocket, strapping myself in mid-shooting off. Laser blasts sounded dumb and soft against the turtle tunneler shell. Praying that the others made it.

"Do you think they make it?" I asked.

"Of course they will Tabs," Mikey said.

Alex P.O.V.

Running after Raph, as we made it to the elevator four-foot ninja jumped in after us. We made quick work of those four-foot ninja clan as the elevator appeared in the car shop. We both crash to the ground breathing shallowly.

"You okay Raph?" I asked looking up at him.

We shared a look as the shop door slowly slide open showing more foot ninjas.

"You gotta be kidding me," Raph said.

Jumping up rushing away from them to the battle shell, Raph pushed me as throwing stars flew past us into the battle shell door.

"Buckle up," Raph ordered as he buckles himself up and started up the battle shell. A rocket was shot clearing the pathway for us. "Be ready to move."

"Got it!" I yelled. "Go, go, go!"

He drove out of the shop, pulling a sharp turn. Sending me jerking to the side.

"It's going to be okay Alex," He said. "We will meet up with the others."

"I think we are being followed," I said.

"I know." He said simply.

Rockets came flying at us.

"I love you Raph." I cried.

"I love you too Alex." He said as the rockets hit the battle shell.

Tabs P.O.V.

We tunneled through various walls. Gripping tightly to the seat, we made it to the subway section of the underground before rushing through to another wall, all while the robot followed us. Looking at Mikey and Klunk as we drove through the wall.

"I think this might be the end of us Mikey," I said we were hit by rockets.
